I’ve searched and cannot find when the fee’s will go back to the normal rate. I thought it was when the WvW season was over. Thanks for any help.

I just xfrd to FC from TC, and have no regrets whatsoever. Great community, awesome commanders, and NO QUEUE’s! I should have made this move months ago…

First off, I’m not a commander, so no “elitism” charges please. With the new achievements bl’s, and eb seem to be always queue’d and quite often with the best commanders stuck in that queue, and no tags to rally the eb/bl populations. Allowing commanders to jump to the top of the queue list would be of great benefit to any server, especially now with the influx of so many that are inexperienced and need leadership. When the tags are stuck in queue, it’s just chaos, pure and simple chaos. They paid 100 gold for the tag, so they should be granted the privilege of skipping to the top of the list, right? What do you, the WvW community think about this?

I’m a pure pve player and I usually detest any form of pvp but the I got tempted into wvw the other night (mostly for the ap yea). So I joined a party of some people from my alliance and have to say that I enjoyed it better than I would like to admit. I did offcourse gear/trait on of my 80’s for wvw and looked up viable builds, and honestly didnt do too shabby in zergs or smaller 5v5 battles. Its not like I was actively looking wich achievements I still need and ignoring everything else. I genuinly had fun, mostly due to beeing in party and mumble with people who play wvw alot more often though. Even had most fun in the smaller battles since the big zergs are kind of a lag fest. And since we won most smaller encounter I’m probably doing something right. Offcourse I could have just been encountering other people like myself the whole time I was in wvw :p

And you’re exactly the type of player I’d love to see more of; people who assumed they’d hate WvW and find out it’s actually fun.

Ditto. Even though my prior post was harsh against pve’rs, we all started there. That being said, you’ll find the wvw community much more helpful, with very little elitists compared to pve. I read about the dungeon/fractal elitists booting, scorning newbies all the time. I have never been treated badly in wvw. Never.
You’ll find your wvw community to be very helpful, and always have your back. Just pay attn. to the do’s and don’ts, and you’ll love it. Welcome aboard.

My exp with pve’rs and wvw:
A few weeks ago we were in a match up with SoR, they had all of EB. There were only eight of us on EB, so I went to LA and asked for help. The response I got was “what happened, did SoR beat you and your buddies up, break your glasses, and steal your pocket protectors?”. That was actually kinda funny, but what wasn’t funny is that NO ONE came to help. So I know there might be some converts, but for the most part, screw them and their WvW achievements.

Are we doing a Yak parade tonight?

I miss the DB that wanted us(TC), and FA to double team them. Those were the good ole days. I hope DB gets their manpower and swagger back soon.

Okay I just had grilled porterhouse steak, fresh grilled Hatch green chiles, baked potato, and Hatch green chile empanadas washed down with four Lost Gold IPA’s. Time to go get some exercise in wvw and work all that off.

and tc and jq kinda counter each other, its why they r closely matched. JQ has strong sea and, TC has a strong NA.

I prefer the word militia, which I am. I enjoy sentry duty, and yak escorting, upgrading, and just doing my own thing to help my server. I will zerg to get my daily done, but basically I enjoy doing what I feel is fun atm without being told what to do, where to go, etc.

I play this game to relax and have fun, not to feel like I’m at work with bosses. That being said, I will always answer a call for help to defend on any map. Also not mentioned a lot of pugs/militia donate siege to commanders, which helps tremendously.

I got the hammer and staff, I think they’re both pretty cool .

Just out of curiosity HoD, are your forums moderated as far as foul language goes? I got nothing against the occasional curse word, but a steady stream that’s accepted by the community is non productive, and drives away those that don’t accept it. I’m interested now, after reading this post because the lag is just crazy when zergs collide in T1. Maybe this yak slapping gypsy can find a good home.

That’s interesting, but I think the easiest fix would be Wv4. JQ,SoR,BG,TC going at it for example.

Your exactly right my friend! JQ/BG/SoR is an awesome match up with great fights to be found everywhere. The only way it could improve is if anet made it Wx4 and threw TC in with us.

Myself being a gypsy, transferring from JQ-Des-FC-TC-FA-JQ, I’ve gone straight into WvW with no waiting at all.

I kind of think they are an intended “leak” to get feedback from the community so they can fine tune things before release.

Only single target for Thieves and Mesmers though, AoE torment for Necromancers will be deadly in large zerg fights especially with Spectral Wall.

Thanks for the fun fights in Mag BL today Ebay and FA. I wrapped up that session around +1500 kills… Possibly a new record.

Major props to several ebay guilds that run into open field fights instead of running away from them.

Just curious, but is it usual for t2 servers to throw bodies at something and wipe for hours on end?

We’re just as baffled by this on Mag as you all are I think. The squishiness of FA zergs is… phenomenal.

I think maybe most are running pvp builds(like me) due to the lower populations your servers have, and are looking for small scale action. That’s when I’m running militia. With my guild it’s a different story. It’s all about having fun, whether dying or slaying.

To the small Maguuma team that took FABL north camp, and held it by killing us over and over with terrific teamwork, /salute. That was a lot of fun!

Despite a few forum troll/warriors at the start of things here on the forums, I think DB overall has represented themselves as good sports and responded to forum adversity with class.

I’ve only used (and currently use) the Logitech G13. Works really well and has all the bells and whistles I need. Check on YT for some reviews from others but suffice it to say…it’s a good product.

Do you use the thumb joystick for anything in game?

I play on a laptop while sitting in my recliner in the living room with wifey while she watches tv. It gets somewhat uncomfortable on my wrist after a while. I’ve been thinking about buying a kp, but am wondering if there’s one that integrates best with GW2. I’ve been looking at Amazon and there’s only a few choices. Any preferences or suggestions?

Yeah, I personally hate the karate zombies. I had one player ask me to help him with his personal story and it went really well. You never see anyone ask for help on chat with their ps. Is that a no-no or something?
