Weekly Bump….
Weather effects like blizzards (slows movement) and heavy Rain (impares vision distance by 50%) would be a welcome addition intoWvW.
But one area that needs attention is the npc guards that protect supply camps and forts. Currently my level 20 ranger can solo a supply camp, any of my level 80 characters can solo a fully upgraded supply camp, the first thing to die when a group of enemies get to any wvw fort or tower is the npc guards standing outside the front gate, these guards die in a matter of sceonds then do not respawn usually until the gate is almost down or destroyed. The wall guards are also laughable to the amount of damage they do and for the most part end up being ingnored.
My suggestion would be:
To improve the amount of health of all guards by 20%
To improve the amount of damage guards do by 20%
To improve the amount of guards defending keeps and supply camps by at least 20%
and to improve the respawn timer of defeated guards by 25%
Npc guards need some loving as they are not contributing anything to WvW in their current state.

I’ve been a warrior since early Beta and over 75% ov PvE battles I am forced to go ranged especially in dungeons/fractals. I do not know why Arenanet have gone so Anti-melee in this game but is is also prominent in WvW where ranged battles and not melee are the normal. I am not sure what the solution is to this since mobs now seem a lot more balanced than they orignally were. Melee either need some kind of damage reduction when in melee range or all the mobs A.I need adjusting and balancing armound melee fights.
Everyone can see thief’s do too much damage except players playing thiefs…mmm why is that?
Summoner would be awsome.
Hands down Ranger, stand back and shoot and let the pet tank, easiest class in the game.
Weekly bump….
Ok, I’ve tried multiple times since the fractual update to get back into the game but frankly its boring now, before it was get to level 80 get a max suit of armor and then start going out looking for skins and looks. Aka effort = reward.
Now when I log in its ok…I know I have to log in get to 80, then go into fractuals and pray to the RNG gods that I hope my gear drops…to me even thinking of that is boring, if I wanted a RNG treadmill I would have stuck with WoW. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and uninstalled multiple times just Trying to get into the game and play. How ever I just cant do it, the game I couldnt stop playing in its beta..now bores me to death when I even think of logging in.
Each to his own…I’m still enjoying it and have played it constantly since beta, but GW2 does need to evolve. Arenanet need to start listen to all the suggestions and acting upon them now or people are just going to jump ship onto the next big thing that comes along. The suggestion and WvW forums are full of excellent ideas.
Stop with all the holiday fluff guys, and start acting on the core mechanics of the game.
I have played amost exlusively a warrior since release, and although I have played most other classes I keep going back to my warrior mainly becuase I love the look of them and enjoy melee. But the warrior is flawed, in its current state in wvw and spvp and even Pve/dungeons it is lacking in it’s ability to perform as a warrior should.
With so much ranged damage happening in both pve, wvw, spvp warriors need the ability to lock down their targets more and prevent escaping a sort of circle of melee ability where any enemy engaged has to stay within the circle for 6 seconds. We should be feared in melee and not just seen as meat shield that needs to be slowed and kitited from range. Either that or we need more abilities to close the gap upon an enemies (Example. A very long ranged charge attack.) Our traits also need a lot of work, we need more options for speed, more options for ignoring slows and stuns.
As for all our weapons why should we be forced to use rifle and longbow in both dungeons, Pve, and WvW.
I’m a warrior! I want my enemies to fear me when I get within melee range. I want to be able to get within melee range and cause havoc when I’m within melee range!
Warriors need some love!
I would prefer one (or more) of several things occurred:
Vials be purchasable for relics
Vials be purchasable for the perfect relics
Rings become salvageable, from which vials can be a salvage componentIt would be cool if globs/shards could follow the above scheme, too, but since they can ultimately be forged from vials, it’s not necessary.
Would be awsome to be able to buy globs and vials for fractal tokens from the vendors!
26 for the infused ring drops and beyond.
That’s it I’m rolling a Thief!
mmm watching this video makes you wonder why a lot of classes think the thief is overpowered in the damage department :/
Nice additions to wvw but it still needs a lot of work. Charr war-machines please, commander Aura buffs please. Incentives / Benefits for guilds to actually hold onto keeps please.
Vanishing Legacy
European
Casual – Friendly
Mature (21+)
Focus on PvE and WvW and PvP
For GW 2 we’ve already got a great group of members. Whether you’re a seasoned MMO veteran, or completely new to the
whole MMO thing, if you’re looking for a casual-friendly, amicable atmosphere,
Vanishing Legacy is the place for you.
Our plans for GW 2 include:
Leveling together
Inter-guild crafting
Group runs on all difficulties
Nerding around about Guild Wars
We don’t have a large number of rules or guidelines:
Our members are 21 years of age, or older
We try to be excellent to each other
Real life is more important than in-game
Nobody’s expected to do anything but have a good time
Vanishing Legacy, whats it all about …
We would like to describe ourselves as “a mature gamers guild” as one of our main rules is our age limit for new members. If you want to join “Vanishing Legacy” you have to be at least 21 years old and generally be considered as a mature by yourself as well as others. By mature we mean relaxed and laid back, yet serious when required, friendly and willing to help others and above all tolerant and willing to compromise when needed. Our most important rule however is that “Real life comes first”, as we are here to enjoy our time in game and we understand that there are other more pressing things such as families and/or work.
Our goal is to structure our leadership in such a way to reflect above requirements and give freedom to our members to fully enjoy their time spent in game and not to worry about the meaningless rules and boundaries other guilds usually impose on their members. We will tend to involve all our members in decision making as much as possible, but some core decisions sometimes will be made by Guild Elders themselves.
We consider ourselves a casual guild and above all would like to keep a friendly, family like atmosphere within the guild. However, casual does not mean disorganized, when it comes to guild group activities (WvW, raids, expert dungeons, pvp, etc) we can be and always strive to be highly organized and disciplined, but will still try to enjoy our gaming and not have it become a second job.
We prefer and highly encourage guild group play, but we understand that our members can’t take part in every group event. We encourage our members to use both guild voice comms (even if only for listening) and guild forum as much as possible, so even when you are soloing you will feel you are part of the guild.
We strive to be drama free, but from our experience we know that unfortunately sometimes drama is unavoidable. However, when it does occur, we will try to resolve it swiftly and fairly by discussing matters with all sides involved. We will try to do this in a transparent manner and not hide anything from our members. We are adults and we will treat you as one.
So, if you are looking for a new friends and mature gaming atmosphere please go to our Recruitment and submit your application. Do remember that although we love our gaming, in “VL” real life comes first.
I’m actually surprised this hasn’t been addressed as of yet. My 2nd 80 was a warrior, and after a lot of testing and playing around in Spvp (mostly pug games since Tpvp is all about dat bunker builds) I just Found 1h Axe+ shield a deadly combo…I mean it has Faster atk speed then 1h swords + the highest dmg per hit then any weapon…that right there I find confusing, fastest atk+ highest dmg, odd.
I tried glass cannon 100b specs and idk I simply found that build too confining…while I could build a slightly tankier warrior, still bring zerk and burst down people just as fast with 1h axe 1 atks + F1 ability (which can hit for 5k+ on heavys)
Idk just the 1h axe/ shield combo is so easy to get 28k-30k hp/2600+ armor/ and still around 3k power/40% crit chance/50%+ crit dmg…and do around 1300-1900 crits per 1 skill…Yet from other classes – Players I only find complaints about 100b…1h Axe doesnt root you and provides a offhand (shield gives a closer/stun+ block so imo is the best offhand)
So Is axe dmg on warriors a bit off atm? should it be edited or are there bigger issues to resolve first…Also why arn’t there more 1h axe warriors (other then it’s not very useful in Tpvp)
Thing is you have to get near enough to use it in the first place, and also I would like concrete proof of this amazing build where you say you have 30k hp 2600+ armor with a 40% crit chance and 50% crit damage. We can all type words but the proof is in the pudding or lack of it.
<Not participating…They need to work on the core game mechanics and fix all the class and game bugs that have been around since beta which the forums are screaming out for. Then you concentrate on new content with fuzzy hats and bobbles on…bah humbug!
Both are easy, like ridiculously easy to kill. in wvw I make groups of 5 run from me. how does everyone else complain when there is the awesomeness of the shield on a warrior :/ .
It is easy to make a group of five of them run from you when you have forty other people in the zerg following you, and the awsomeness of the shield with a 3 second immunity and a 1 second shield bash gives you the edge does it?
Its been like this since beta, for some reason Arenanet has always favoured Ranged over Melee in Pve..cannot see this changing much tbh.
Warrior vs mesmer…even bad mesmer are good vs warriors
I run with Axe and shield with rifle backup and hardly ever use Burst abilities. With Beserkers power and Adrenal health I find it more beneifical just to keep my 3 bars of adrenaline full all the time. It seems that burst abilities damage have been nerfed to the point of making them useless. Do you use them?
I’m on my 12th dailiy for level ten rings and still no drop! I feel like giving up. Everyone else keeps spamming them in chat when they get thiers and I’m left to struggle with level ten some more, i could be on level 26 by now instead I am stuck around level 16.
Please include an option to mute warrior shouts. I’m a shout healing warrior and I have played one since beta. I am now really fed up with hearing “For great justice” and “On my mark” ect every time I use these abilities and I am sure others are too. It is worse when I’m in WvW and I hear every other warrior shouting them out as well. Hearing these shouts every 20 to 25 seconds is really really annoying.
Yes I know that there is an option to turn of dialog volume in the sound options but then I do not get to hear any of the npc’s speech and miss out on some immersion.
Another way would be to use Karma for Rings, 150,000 Karma for ascended rings, Karma 300,000 for infused ascended rings!
Weekly bump……
Seven attempts here at level ten and no ring for me yet. I hate RNG too. Please up the drop rate.
2 seconds on a 90 second cooldown is hardly worth the trait. Take spiked armor instead much better.
Improve wvw, add Charr Iron legion vehicles to wvw Scout buggy, Flame tanks, siege tanks and a behemoth (Large heavy tank.) You could Implement two controls points on each borderland (Iron legion Vechicles bases) on the map that will build these vechicles that can be driven by a player if you hold the base for long enough to give the base time to produce the vechicle light vehicle (scout buggy) = short amount of time to produce one. Behemoth (Large heavy tank) lots of time to produce one.
Have events like you did in the beta weekends, have whole areas of maps taken over by an enemy horde and a shout goes out for help.
Introduce roaming world bosses ( and make them large!)
Single player skill dungeon challenge (Made for single people that do not like to group or have not the time to find a group..the deeper you go in the better the rewards)
No matter what the majority will always like better gear with better stats, we need more better gear with better stats
Larger skill upgrads trees are needed for forts in wvw.
Listen to your playerbase and act on it.
100 gold for the ascended backpack with current markerting prices of T6 crafting mats and Ectos’: then another huge grind to get the thing infused…What choice have we but to ignore Ascended gear. The average casual player may have enough mats for an ascended back slot item in another year or two …
A rethink into the forms and their use and abilities should be implemented. Nobody uses them much in their current state.
Do we really need another condition and then another Boon (infusions) to counter this condition to make the game more intresting for us? I say no. I am all for new content and new skins but what is wrong with balancing the game as it stands without adding new conditions and then MUST HAVE boons (infusions) to counter this condition?
I’m just reading ahead to the map chat
“LFM Must have infusion gear fully slotted on all equipment or you will booted.”
Not very casual friendly….
The thing that bothers me the most about Agony is that it’s not a new idea. Not only have other MMOs used something similar, but they also failed and were scrapped YEARS ago. For example, World of Warcraft used to have resistance gear back in Burning Crusade, but abandoned it ever since because it wasn’t fun or challenging. Lord of the Rings also had radiance, a mechanic similar to Agony, which was later removed since everyone hated it.
If GW2 is supposed to be THE next gen MMO, and being better by being different, how does it make any sense to essentially copy failed mechanics from other MMOs that were deemed failures and removed years ago?
Got to admit I agree with this guy, do we really need another Condition, and then another boon to counter this condition to make the game more intresting?
Still recruitung for now, come and be a part of our family!
Bump…………
I would like to see fewer waypoints and then ground mounts added.
Yes please! +1
We are a part of an alliance of guilds, we run weekly WvWvW nights as well as dungeon runs and more! If you want to be a part of this friendly guild then apply on our forums using the above link!
Only things I can add which have not already been said are:
:Hugh Random Roaming world bosses (Not static) that bring masses of people to defeat them with rewards to match.
:Remove some of the waypoints in dungeons: With no sense of danger it makes the dungeon feel less of a challenge if you can just Rezz and Run to win.
:Add Charr steamtanks to WvW: Lots of supply to build, Slow moving but bristling with weapons and armor with each tank and holding up to ten players each.
:Buff npc guards in WvW. Far too easy as they are atm.
:Give a sense of purpose for holding onto a keep or castle in wvw. At the moment so many players just run around the map take a keep and move onto the next abadoning it to the next zerg. Give us a reason to hold onto that keep. Something along the lines of a steady stream of influence and silver coins for the guild that own and defend that keep or castle in wvw. (The longer they own it the more influence and silver/gold that guild recieve)
:Buff keeps and castle make them harder to take: Far to easy atm.
:In general the mobs in GW2 are far too easy there is no sense of danger or defeat when fighting them, buff mobs and an increase in repair costs should help.
Have move epic events like you did in the closing of the beta weekends. Huge map chaning events!

Was going to make my own post but in general Slamz5376 hit the nail on the head so to speak. The above post shows how a general buff to forts and wvw guards in badly needed.
Got to agree with the OP, Forts do fall to fast. Once your in you spend your time upgrading them to the full with your guild banner fluttering in the breeze, you then log off and once you log back in the next day you find out that your upgraded fort has changed hands several times already…What is the point of upgrading them?
WVW upgrades need a bigger tech tree for forts than they currently have. The npc guards are laughable, I can take three of them on my own. My suggestions would be simillar to the Op guards need a huge buff, more guards are needed, give upgraded options to include special abilities for guards like knockbacks, knockdowns and more aoe options.
Doors could maybe se a slight increase in health, same for walls.
In general makes keeps and forts harder to take then they currently are and maybe we will see more people staying to upgrade and defend them more becuase the are WORTH holding on to.
Having major trouble with thiefs atm, I have 25022 health, 2082 toughness, and 3256 armor and a thief killed me in wvw today 1v1 in five seconds!
No I do not have a screenshot of it but I should have taken one. Anyone else having trouble with thiefs?
Should thiefs be able to do this kind of damage?
Thiefs are doing some crazy damage at the moment, I’m a 80 warrior with great gear and full defence and health tatics maxed and I have had thiefs burn through my armor and health like a hot knife through butter. I have also noticed thiefs trying to lure me towards them in WvW as I think they see warriors now as easy targets.
Empower allies: Not working no aditional power to allies.
Been having trouble with Flurry not immbolizing mobs 100% of the time
