So with the patch today, Flameseeker Prophecies legendary shield got a nice little graphic update. There is now a new effect when you pull out the weapon; a burst of pale blue light followed by a several letters in the New Krytan language. Also added, was footfalls to the weapon. As you walk, you’ll leave behind small bursts albeit very faint similar to when pulling out the shield.
Was there an unannounced change to the pricing of the Notarized scrolls? In the blog post, it’s stated that normal Scrolls are exchanged for 1 Proof for 1 Core Tyrian Hero Point and 5 Proofs for 10 Maguuma points. However looking at the trader, it has them listed at 10 Proofs for 10 Maguuma points.
I’m hoping that this is just a bug, as this will no doubt frustrate a lot of players that read the blog stating that it was to be 5 Proofs and not 10.

So while playing Rev during the weekend, along with the hammer bugs that have already been posted, I noticed that the mace is suffering from similar issues as well. Notably, Mace 2, Searing Fissure.
When using the skill on an incline or on top of a hill, I found that the field was sometimes not applying the burning ticks until after one pulse had occurred, then properly applied the 3 remaining ticks. Other times, it did not apply the burning at all, even with the mob standing inside the field.
It’s quite possible that the same issues that the hammer is having are affecting the mace skills as well.
So I think people are forgetting something here.
A few months ago, they said they were nerfing IB4 during a balance stream. The next stream they then said “Oh, we’re not nerfing it, we’re increasing it by 50%.” Now they’re nerfing it down by 50%.
So in actuality, IB4 is just returning to the way it was before the buff happened, which will be the normal damage it did when the game launched.

We may simply have to agree to disagree. I think it will be phenomenal in PvE. Situational, yes, but it isn’t your main heal, so that’s perfectly ok with me. It isn’t a skill you are going to spam on cooldown.
I wouldn’t even take it in PvE at all. Could you find a use for it in PvE? Yes.
I’m mainly talking about SPvP and WvW. Movement is everything in those two areas. In WvW, if you get CC’d or use a skill that locks you into place, like 100B, you’re more than likely dead and just rallied any foe that hit you.
In SPvP, same thing. You leave yourself wide open for a burst as soon as the block goes down.
I fully understand it’s not a main heal. My primary issue, is that where I would be using shield the most, i.e. SPvP and WvW, that root is a death sentence. You’re essentially putting a target above your head and shouting “Look at me, I’m unable to move, drop all damage on me in 3 seconds!”
What I think people don’t seem to realize is that movement in GW2 is everything. Be it in PvE, PvP, or WvW (Especially WvW). As many people have already stated and given good examples, having a root on Shield 5 makes shield not even worth taking. Sure 4k heal is great, but when you’re stuck in a battle, be it a zerg or a 2v1 in pvp or even mobs in pve like dungeons (less so in PvE, but still a risk to take), you’re leaving yourself wide open to a counter attack.
As it stands right now, Axe is the best offhand to take currently. It offers good damage, a blink to target, and a pull. Now, let’s look at shield, we get a small heal burst plus prot on 4, and a 4k heal block, but rooted on 5. In PvP and WvW, as much as it pains me to say, I’m not taking shield. That root with the heal is just not worth it at all. All it takes is a Necro or an Ele to drop marks or wait until the block is gone and drop a skill bomb or a CC on top of me and quite possibly negating that 4k healing I just received.
I want to use shield. I really do. I want to be able to use the Flameseeker legendary with my Rev, but as it stands right now, shield is just not worth taking.
My suggestion is this:
Lower the healing to 2.5-3k total health regen or even as low as 2-2.5k, remove the root and allow us to move while channeling. Maybe increase the energy to 25-30.
This way, it keeps its usefulness and allows the player to not expose themselves to being an easy kill.
Kodiak said it best with this “I’d rather say how it is now than basically regulate shield to yet another useless or ultra niche weapon alternative in this game.”
I think that Jalis elite is so expensive because you can stack that plus protection and get like 80% damage reduction.
This being said, I also think that road needs to give 3 seconds of stabilityimmediately at least to the caster, then 3 seconds from each pulse, that should also be every 3 seconds.
This way you still give the same amount of stability duration and stacks.it’s only 1 stack, however, so not a big deal anyway. Jalis has a long way to go to compete with the other legends. At the moment is less interesting then Ventari.
In PvE I would say it’s not a big deal, but in WvW, every stack you can get is useful. 1 stack of Stability won’t help you at all. It will be instantly stripped upon engaging a fight with another Zerg and then you’re stuck inside their bomb with maybe 1 stun break instead of being able to push with your own team who all have stability to do so.
What the devs need to realize is that Stab is no longer about duration, but about how many stacks the skills give. If this was pre-stab nerf, then yes, I’d say the duration would make a big difference. In WvW, stab and how many stacks of stab you have is vital to fighting against the other zergs and their CC’s. PvE, stab is barely needed and I can’t speak for SPvP.
As it stands right now, for a Rev to be viable for frontline in WvW, they’d need to party with a guardian or two just to be able to to withstand the large amounts of CC’s coming from the enemy teams.

With the release of the Four Winds, the Molten Berserker in the Molten Facility fractal in the cut-scene now has a different audio file. It now sounds like a male Norn trying to growl menacingly and failing terribly. The Berserker doesn’t even sound like a Charr anymore.
Can we get a audio file fix for this boss so that he sounds like a proper Charr again?

Is there a site that has all the gathering nodes not just the T6 for all the zones and that is API based, not player based?
So with this new update for Legendaries will we finally be seeing them becoming account-bound on use?
I’m seriously hoping that they will, but seeing no mention in the content page I feel like they won’t be. I know Anet has said that they will be making them ABoU quite awhile ago.
I hope Anet does this soon for Legendaries, because I would love to be able to move some of mine around to show them off on other characters that I have.
I’m seriously surprised that there isn’t a counter showing who’s got how many votes for this event. I want to be able to see who’s winning at any given point up till the end of the voting process.
The fact that this was not even implemented at the start has already given way to people claiming that this whole thing is rigged. To be quite honest, I can clearly see why they are saying that. No one knows who’s winning or who’s behind. Not to mention the fact that when Anet posts who won, people will say and I can guarantee this that Anet just posted who won regardless of the amount of votes.
I know there has to be a counter for each of those baskets that we place our tokens in within the game-code. So why can’t we be allowed to see that counter?
Mace main hand, be it on a guardian or warrior, is trash for PVE, for example.
Just to further illustrate why PUGs can no longer do this boss, there was a guardian in map chat the other day (DB), who said he uses Mace/Shield with Staff as swap, and when I told him that Mace will have trash damage output, he said
“Well this Guardian build isn’t meant to do damage.”
You know what tops that? Eles that believe they’re meant to play in 1 attune the ENTIRE KITTENING RUN…
“But I’m a water ele! That’s where I put my traits!”
Play Lightning Hammer. Sit in Water 24/7.

There are some people out there that would amaze you in their ability to level to 80 by sitting in earth so they can stack bleeds cuz they’re a condi ele or wear full PTV and do nothing but spam fireball.
Those are both amusing and annoying to see in runs. Especially when they try to justify it.

How come there is nearly every stat for ascended gear now with this new update, and still no Valkyrie stats? I find it strange that this stat combo was left out of this recent update.
Anyways, Why doesn’t Anet just remove all consumables from WvW ? Personally i hate them all and think they have no place in WvW.
I agree. The only consumables that should be allowed in WvW are food and potions. All other cons should be disabled for WvW.
I don’t suppose you could remove the Pirate Peg Leg consumable as well from WvW?
10 easy levels in under 30 mins? I’ll take that than making money with the craft any day personally.
However you sort of countered your own argument. Yes Ascended is better than Exotic, however it will still take someone nearly a full month to get the necklace and even shorter for a ring. In that time, people will still want to have something good while they work towards the goal, therefore Exotic is still relevant. Not to mention the person will make their money back before they even get their Ascended version easily.
Sunrise does not add to the Legendary counter achievement because it and Twilight combine to form Eternity. Yes they are still legionaries, but the main reason is because both Sunrise and Twilight are still base components of the final legendary which is Eternity.
Will we see the two greatswords count? Possibly, but don’t get your hopes up.
Why do 90% of people think The Dreamer and Quip are the “omg troll weapons they’re so stupid and immature” state of mind? Personally, I like The Dreamer, and I may eventually go for one. Right now I’m just working on getting the materials to even make one, and all I asked was if someone had one, and what it looked like. If you want to be immature on this thread, take it else where please.

No one has seen Quip? Surely someone must’ve crafted it by now.
Title says it all. Has anyone crafted the legendary pistol Quip, knows what it looks like, and what particle effects it has? If the materials needed to craft the Gift of Quip are anything to go by, I feel that it’s effects are something along the lines of fake sound effects like the boxing gloves you can get from the gem store.
If anyone has any info or pictures on Quip I’d greatly appreciate it.

Afaik, legendary weapons cannot be sold on TP. I talked to someone who had Sunrise, and he said that he tried to put it on the TP but it wouldn’t let him. So I’m fairly sure that they cannot be sold, but a dev confirm would be nice.
