The alpine Bls were fine but like anything else there should be a change. I found the fact that there are three BLs that are identical unimaginative in the first place. What positive points do the Alpine BLs offer you over the intricate nooks and crannies of the Desert BL. We seem to always be finding a new place to treb or hit the Desert BL and that alone adds to the enjoyment instead of running that same beaten path after 3 years on the Alpine BL. Plus the the spawn being removed and not an easy response wp makes the Desert so much better for small groups trying to cap things.

Again @Lavra, missing the point. Were you really asking questions or was that just non helpful rhetoric? and @ Lillie, I don’t stay to fight spawn campers. Here is a secret. I go to another map, shhhhhh. I might even go to my alt, eeeek. Yes. I have played almost three years in WvW and Bumhurt ain’t one of the things I feel when a server has degraded to spawn camping. I laugh it off, it’s a game.

I will do a Fractal or a Dungeon or my story or PVE and map complete, there is a lot to do out there.

I do enjoy offering up ideas in forums that I would think might benefit the game. I don’t care much for those that offer no ideas and useless rhetoric. Thank you for your input. I’ve filed it lol

@jethro, that would be cool. Good ideas.

Small Group Roaming

T1 forget it with the blobs. If you want roamers go T3 and the mid tiers. I was on FC. About 11PM EST it was dead. The community was nice but they got pounded so often that they would turtle up in their BL and when rolled just leave. Tough server to play on.

T2 has a T1 server dropping each week now. The T1s are blobby and are disinterested in the matchup quickly so their numbers alone don’t lend to roaming. A large FC zerg is a roaming group on T1.

Friends of mine that roam are on mid tiers with either alts or mains but that is where you might see what you are looking for mostly. Good luck.

I’m sorry, you must have mistakenly written on the wrong topic. This is not “Are there other exits from spawn.” I mentioned that in the body already and yes anyone who plays WvW knows about them.

The topic here is increasing the range and effectiveness of the Legendary Defenders. And limiting or removing another servers ability to drop siege on the path from spawn to the keep. It would remove a nasty part of the game that adds absolutely nothing positive.

And what would that change? People would just spawn camp a little further back. Quit relying on npc’s to carry you, if you are so outnumbered that you can’t push out on 1 map, even with the help of razer, you have 3 other maps to choose from and each of them have 3 exits.

Oh lord you really missed the whole purpose of this thread, please read whats being discussed or don’t comment. This thread, in case you missed it, is about increasing the effectiveness and range of Legendary Defenders thus eliminating the BS act of spawn camping.

It’s not about how many exits there are from spawn. It’s not about bringing the fights to spawn because someone is too lazy to run the map. And FYI you don’t really get bags when spawn camped. Don’t tell me you do either. It’s not about NPCs carrying anyone or the need for them to do so. People play GW2 and go into WvW because it’s a great game and trolls at spawn was not what the Devs had in mind. Otherwise why would they block siege from being placed in spawn or why would they place Legendary Defenders at the gates who can one shot you?

Best comment yet was having Siegerazer blast out the front of spawn and wreck anything in his path. Add that the Legendary Defenders have increased range and bye bye trolls spawn camping.

Has nothing to do with PVE. But has everything to do with making a better experience and game. If you think PVE is a Legendary blasting some kitten spawn camper or Siegerazer clearing a path then you need to see what PVE is all about, that’s not it. Just like Wvw is not about being trebbed and sieged in your spawn regardless of how many exits.

I have played for three years and it’s getting harder to deal with the WvW condi blobs. I am forever going up against Necros, Guards, Wars, and Eles in opposing zergs and the whole floor is a red mess.

I know about the -40% poultry soup but what ways do you find on the various classes to combat condi. And by the way PvP tonight was tougher, seems like the condi necros and eles and even some engis are gaining ground in there too. Necros are nuts.

Must agree with some of the other comments here (Lol @ Puck, love you man!).

But I must also admit that I would enjoy seeing that if there was a lot of enemy players outside of spawn, that the Leg-Def’s decided to make a push, brought Siegerazer, everyone got 1 min super swiftness, and chased away the rabble outside the gates!

(They would obviously stop at a certain range, say halfway between spawn gate and tower for example, or perhaps all the way out to the rock but not enough to get to the tower)

Don’t come and tell me that wouldn’t be fun!

Good points, making the Legendary Defenders a bit more proactive and Siegerazer barrel through spawn campers taking out all siege. That would be fanstastic. Great idea.

No such thing. Listen, first off, this is not about being spawn camped this is about increasing the effectiveness of the Legendary Defenders and limiting or blocking siege from being thrown between the keep and spawn.

I have been spawn camped on every server I’ve been on in the three years of playing this game. Our guild admonishes fellow guildies for doing that and if they continue to do spawn camp they are booted from the guild. There is no place for that.

Just because there are other exits has nothing to do with the actions going on out front. The frustration level is high and people want to break through. Usually there is no commander on and you are grossly outnumbered so leaving out the back or side door with a small group usually doesn’t happen unless its a guild. And many times the spawn campers do have the exits guarded if its a certain server we all know about.

The problem is that players dont stand still, they watch you go to another exit and meet you there.

From experience by YB:

Blue side, go to leave main exit, siege everywhere and blob…

Use left exit, jump down, receive fall damage, get sneezed on by 3 thieves….

Use right exit, jump down, receive fall damage, get sneezed on by 3 mesmers….

go back to main exit, head left again to try and avoid thieves, jump down, I’m safe, get out of the water, OH HELLO 3-4 THIEVES!

OP is right, Legendary defenders need to have a bit more effect than they currently do.

You got it right. Everyone knows how to block the ways out and certain servers relish in the fact that its a part of the game to pin you in your spawn as if that’s an achievement.

I would like to make a suggestion and see what people think.

Spawn camping is garbage. No one likes it and its bad for the game. It’s really a cowardly act in the game. But the Legendary Defenders that stand guard right outside the spawn front gates have almost no range. Players have to almost kiss them before they react. Why not let them be rangers with at least as much range as a regular ranger has?

And how about making that path to the keep a place where another server can’t throw offensive siege. Being cowed in spawn or being pinned (yes I know there are other exits) by ACs and Balis happens too often. If they build siege in the keep its one thing. Lining up siege on the path from spawn is another.

Tier 3 is the place to be!

That’s only because Maguuma doesn’t play for points. If we did, we would be fighting in Tier 1. We are humble players that pay with honor. If we don’t control ourself and hold back, all servers would cry at our power level.

Isn’t WvW about PPT? How do you tell people not in your guild to hold off? Do you pull punches and not run all out when fighting? Not sure how all that works. When I’m on I play to win. I play to cap and back cap and if I see another server I fight them but I don’t do it at the cost of our teams PPT. I don’t spawn camp, drop siege on dead soldiers, laugh, emote whatever, nor do I run away from a fight. But PPT is what its all about and fights while achieving it. No?

So this is happening on NA aswell? I though the guys from Kodash and Riverside were the only kittens acting like that. Well, misery loves company, I guess, thought that won’t help affected worlds at all…

Yeah it was wild. I actually ran up the steps figuring we would be fighting JQ but they leaped out and then I rememberd that is exactly what BG did twice to us with JQ. Glad I took the screen shots because it did look odd with JQ all stacked on the northern gate, I kept my camera to them figuring they would wait until we got YB down and they would jump in and wipe us.

With all the QQing with BlakGate in Tier 2, and with JadeQuarry and YakBend doubling teaming TarnishCoast in Tier 1, I’d like point out that Maguuma/StormIsle/CrystalDesert is the best place for close battles.

If your looking for good GvG and fights, please transfer to one of the servers in Tier 3. Please come. I’m glad I don’t transfer to JadeQuarry when I had the chance. Maguuma has taught me what true Guild Wars 2 players should be like!

Too bad WvW can’t just be two servers or more than three, this double-teaming isn’t fighting – it’s bullying without a chance.

WvW is supposed to be about having a chance to win – with skill. Skill doesn’t enter into WvW at all on most servers, it’s all numbers and nothing more.

I noticed that too. JQ and TC did that today when we took YBs Red keep in EB. It was wild. JQ was on the walls and out front keeping any dead YB from returning and TC was in the lords capping. YB put up a great fight but as soon as the cap went down, JQ jumped out spawn camped a few minutes then took Veloka. I screen shot it all. I saw BG do this twice to TC with JQ being the one to cap Red Keep and BG jump out and cap Veloka. T1 bothers me. But again, JQ is part of the alliance. Why.

AOE beyond line of sight

I’ve noticed that Elementalists are now able to place AOE field on top of walls, beyond where their characters should logically be able to see. Is this an unintended side effect of the new FoV slider, or something else?

I agree with you 100%.

Wall siege is the issue being discussed. Yes there are places within the keep or tower on the ground, steps, supply huts, rocks (if available) to throw ACs and other siege but the issue at hand is WALL siege.

The AOEs are so large and so brutal now that if an ele or eles get under you or on the side of you then forget it. Wall siege has been rendered all but ineffective unless you have tons of it and you have the people already on it when the attack begins. And you hope as a collective you can keep as many of your ACs as possible firing down and keeping the squishy eles away.

Lets take Blue in EB. Try placing siege on top of a wall that lasts in QL, Bravost, Langor, and Durios. And I mean your normal 2 or 3 ACs in a paper or reinforced tower. That is what seems to be the most likely scenario.

We all know that Durios and QL hardly get fortified and are islands unto themselves. Try dropping WALL siege at either, you can’t because the walls are too narrow and the eles AOE is too great. Both are exposed on all sides so eles can go right under anywhere and bomb the siege. Not saying I still don’t try to throw ACs on the widest portions of the wall just to thwart a mild attack but full on blob, no way. Eles wreck wall siege.

Langor and Bravost are pretty much the same. Bravost has that cliff on the northern and eastern side so you could hide an AC on the wall for a bit by the steps and shoot through the gate, that is until an ele makes the jump and gets under you. But that’s your best shot there.

Langor is totally open on all three sides to ele bombs. Most don’t go around back but they do try to jump around the front where the bridge is. Placing an AC on the keep side towards the steps, like Bravost is the only place for wall siege. Thankfully the keep is there for both Bravost and Langor so support trebs and mortars usually run off most attacks. But again, the WALL siege is melted and ineffective.

Yup they should . Hey the best way for casinos to catch cheats is to have ex-cheaters find them. Right? So ANET should have people that play WvW find these exploits.

Why are there gaps in the gates in the first place. Does anyone of our garages or front doors only go 3/4 of the way up?

Listen if nothing else YB is proving they belong in the mix in T1. BG got dropped a tier for whatever reason, glicko or someone just using common sense, and now we see that there was another T1 server out there and they were stuck in T2. So if nothing else this move was a success. T1 snobbery sheesh. I’ve played on all tiers, the difference between T1 and say T6 is numbers and coverage but certainly not skill level. Do you go into PvP advertising T1 players only? No, individual effort is far more important than blobs spamming 1.

FA dominated T2 last winter and this spring and should have been given the chance to try T1 but they were never afforded that opportunity. Now it’s too late for FA. Being thumped by YB with all their influx of T1 guilds/people looking to make a statement is the hand we’ve been dealt. You wanted it you got it.

Also a bit of advice to any server: play hard every week. Maybe being dropped wouldn’t have happened if that were the case.

AC Exploit

I hate the exploits as much as anyone since a big part of my game is sieging and trying to even the playing field for my server against the huge condi blobs of the day. Seeing red circles totally in the middle of the lords or to the bottom of the interior wall is just normal play now. Sitting on a cannon with a bunker guard worked 8 seconds, yes I timed it, before I was melted. Hey how about making cannon mastery and mortar mastery with a dome of some protection or something where you don’t melt.

As for the ACs. Someone tossed an AC by the rams at Ogres Watch, I don’t know why, it was really late, the tower was paper and had no siege and just a mesmer trying to hide. But I got on it just before the gate blew open and I was able to look through the top of the gate and hit all the targets in the Lords. That should not happen. Here is a screen shot of the numbers I was getting. Unbelievable, if they had people in there or siege I would have been wrecking it.

I don’t think people just signing up for the game are coming in thinking they are going to troll a server they have no history with. If people use this to make alts to troll well how many do you really think will do it for long. Its one thing to go in and start troll upgrades and suck supply and another thing to not play with your friends and be known as the troll in another server. They are easy to find and always called out as far as I’ve seen.

People could come in and love it and be great additions.

Yeah not seeing the changes either. I don’t know if the ones making the change play WvW or not but it’s not the defensive siege in the tower or keep that needs fixing, it’s the ACs outside that are expoiting and making it all but impossible to play.

WvW should create a line of weapon skins or gear based on WvW rank. Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Mithril are great rank titles but I’d like to have a shot at a Legendary maybe. An exclusive backpiece or weapon skin or unique piece of armor that can only be acquired in WvW and only available based on your rank.

PVP has the progression of stomps. Dragon being the top. So why not set us hardcore WvWers up with something people can’t buy or make anywhere else?

This is absolutely needed. The biggest issue I see with it is the EotM heroes that would have these rewards 10 times faster than BL heroes.

Most of us just don’t spend enough time(any time) in the other game modes to get these rewards that go along with them. I spend my time in WvW. I can barely scrape enough mats to make ascended stuff let alone grind for a legendary if I somehow get a precursor to drop(3 years no drops yet).

The bottom line is that WvW, as a game mode, seems to be something ANet sees as a time killer between fractal runs or whatever. I really think that whoever they have up there looking at WvW truly believes that WvW is totally casual. How they believe this I have no idea, but until they start making some moves here I will continue to believe it.

I hear you on the precursor. Three years and I won’t say how many thousands of hours in WvW and not a whiff of a precursor lol. But WvW is anything but casual. You can’t hang in WvW if you are casual. I know really good PvP players that get wiped in WvW. It’s a beast. I hated PvP in the beginning but now I train in there on other classes because I can’t do that in WvW. There is a toughness and battle hardened aspect to a WvW player that none of my Fractal, Dungeon, PvP friends have. I can wreck thieves in PvP on the whole but a roaming thief in WvW, good luck. ANET should look at WvW as where the dedicated nuts are and let us have something different and more meaningful than spamming and stacking in dungeons and fractals.

FA and or SoS suffered very large losses of actual gvg/wvw guilds over a period of time.

While I do not feel those trying for a “more than three team T1” actually thought through what they were doing, neither do I feel they are evil. They are just gamers.

That said, I would not wish to raise anybodies hopes on a lie.

IMHO, the best that the 2 remaining T2 teams can do is isolate the cancer from reaching down into T3/T4.

I do not believe any additional server can become part of a 5-6 team T1 rotation until the top 4 destack below the FULL status point.

6 very high pop servers could possibly compete.

Well said. I totally agree. Being on FA and being that we lost our OCX its tough. BG has kept to their plan of capping both our BL Hills and Bay ad nauseum along with all the southern stuff and camps. And then keeping both our outer undefendable towers and camps in EB green. Good strategy. Massive PPT in off hours then the OCX time stomp where its all green. Can’t compete with a server that is running OT to prove it was a mistake being sent down.

The fights in NA are easier than with YBs condi blob. If nothing else, FA has proved we can fight T1 in NA primetime. Sad because we used to Queue up 140 some resets with all the BLS having 40 plus Queus. We have some really dedicated and great people in the OCX, EU and SEA time slots, they are fantastic and very dedicated but grossly outnumbered. They try to hold on and upgrade and back cap to keep PPT up, I applaud them and anyone on SOS dealing with the same issues.

Well, it is nice the two commanders, one on JQ and one on YB, have made kissy face to each other for the detriment of TC. It is ludicrous that such garbage goes on.

That’s so funny you say that. I was on my brothers account and that’s exactly what we both thought. He said play and tell me what you think while he went onto my FA account. After awhile I was like kitten , I don’t believe it. I thought it was tough enough when BG would tag team TC but now YB siding with JQ too. Crazy man.

And yes, when JQ is trying to take Red Keep and the BG zerg is half defanging and standing on the inner walls and half outside keeping TC from running back in that’s fishy. JQ capped it and BG jumped out to get a free cap on Veloka. That looks bad. I’ve seen it happen twice now. Just a simple observation from someone on FA.

Too many mesmers?

It isn’t like they are in huge demand for WvW groups.

I haven’t seen any WvW guild advertising for mesmers for at least a year and a half.

It is always Eles, Guards, Warriors or Necros.

Why shouldn’t classes like Mesmers and Thieves be good at the solo/small group roaming?

You got it right. I love WvW but it’s nuts with the amount of guards, wars, eles, and necros in zergs. We just played a server and that’s all they ran. One big condi blob of endless aoe. I have all the classes but I rarely see a mesmer zerging unless they are on the outskirts and there for portals and what not. Being in FA we just fought a server that seemed to use them as scouts. They would annoy us if we had a handful back capping because they would hug portals and guards and then disappear when we would cap. We were never sure if they were stealthed either so after awhile we just moved on.

I agree too with roaming mesmers and thieves. Why not right. If you like roaming then more power to ya but people shouldn’t criticize someone for using a class available to all of us just because they can’t beat it. I hate the endless clones and the stealth for days but I deal with it.

I don’t roam, roamers to me are walking gankers. Most of their kills are people trying to get somewhere who aren’t traited for roaming but traited for WvW zerging.

Yeah I agree it gets boring. We have a great mesmer on FA that can port us into SMC upper deck from the outside. It’s great in that case but finding them is tiring as you said.

Maybe Anet changes duration of stealth while in a keep or smc. They came up with the 5 minute clock so a mes could not stay dead for an hour while a perma stealth thief runs around waiting for everyone to leave.

I never understood why all three BLs had to be identical. I like Eotm or EB for being differnt. How cool would it be if all three maps were different from one another. Sometimes I have to look at the spawn to see what map I’m on since they are all cookie cuttered.

Stealth Finishing

It’s the silliest thing in the game being able to stomp in stealth. No matter what build or class no one should be able to hide in stealth when stomping. In WvW or PvP a stomp should break stealth so it can be seen and maybe stunned or knocked back by and ally. It’s just a cowardly move to me. As a ranger thieves are like snacks anway lol.

What sells me on this game is the way the characters move and how you can move the camera. It doesn’t feel so locked and game like it feels very fluid and free. Hope they fix the issues of EoTM 2 stuff but other than that until another game looks like this I’m here.

Free accounts is good in theory. It’s a good way to get more people into the game. But as for WvW I think you need to make sure someone gets to at least level 60 before they can come in and start upgrades or throw siege. Limit the troll aspect of what alt accts for $10 bucks created. We’ve all seen that guy who builds siege next to the supply hut or steals golems and walks them off cliffs or roams. And we’ve all seen the mysterious merchant upgrade prematurely.

Limiting them to EoTM is tough but if they are truly into seeing how the mechanics of the game works they will love it. The movements of the characters and zerging is a great start. No one should start a new character in WvW.

Yeah BG is the beneficiary of FA losing a lot of guilds/players to lower tiers after that debacle of facing YB with their influx of T1 guilds/players. The OCX for FA is limited now and BG can run amok. They are smart but that’s why I believe in the win move up lose go down scenario even more than the glicko. Dare say you, Jay, that BG is playing WvW as Anet intended?

I daresay lol Hey this is how we played on IOJ. We were outnumbered a lot and had to be smart. We did this exact thing which is what moved us up the ranks to 6th until we kept getting crushed by FA and YB . We would hit smc with small groups at three points, we back capped fast. We concentrated on an area keeping more and more of the bad guys coming at us until we had enough and realized they would camp there. Guerilla tactics.

I had no fun playing YB with all those dang condi blobs and call outs even if you were a roamer looking to get to the jumping puzzles lol

The fights are far better then against YB, thats for sure. We’ll see how it goes during the week, but reset was a lot of fun.

BG groups seem to at least try to go reasonable size guild vs reasonable size guild, YB was just any guild lose to 20+ then call in map blob. Each and every single time.

Also, where YB just over sieged everything to stupid proportions and in often stupid ways, BG seems to use fewer pieces of siege, but in much smarter and effective ways.

There is an immediately noticable difference in overall quality between the 2.

You are so right. There is a big difference. BG has intelligence for sure. They are doing that right now going for PPT over condi blob. They keep camps flipped in all BLs. They concentrate on the keeps and southern portion of the BL maps. They have a sustainable group in EB so they keep their corner and anything else is gravy. They flip the easy stuff like Anz and Mendons, Durios and QL plus EBs camps as much as they can. They don’t seem to hit hard but they just keep collecting PPT. Smart server.

And right again, they don’t call in the entire server for 10 people capping a node outside of Mendons. Plus they don’t have scouts tethered to portals and glued to guards when they scout if they leave any at all. Very surgical and cerebral. Refreshing.

We will have a good time this week.

One thing I’ve noticed that has carried over from TC fights with BG, not a big deal. So far JQ with their blob and YB with their blob and endless necro, war, guard, eles were much harder. So far BG is playing it smart, they are playing for PPT. It’s been awhile since FA seemed to care about PPT. Sad that we have people on FA that cause a Q but thinks its a Starbucks in the BL and the pretty colors are more important. This is not a cake walk physically for BG but PPT wise, it may be. One thing I can say, FA can fight and BG saw it in EB all night. Wish I had the tape rolling when they poured out over the inner keep wall because we had them beat. I’d rather wp dead than leap with half a zerg alive.

How is that? YB was not doing bad on T1 and when I came in and TC was leading. Plus TC was hammering their BL which is what they did to FA for months. TC not being double teamed and JQ finally not having to pull punches and be able to take any tower or keep they want will be interesting. Keeping scores close must have been tough to handle. YB wants to show its a big dog and T1 snobs want to show the game T1 is rarified air so let the leash is off for all 6 servers now.

FA and SOS Bls were nasty but at least FABL had a Queue. Nice to see. In EB it was nice to see BG lose their keep almost immediately and get run out of FAs keep. There was a lot of juice tonight in FA when reset happened and we didn’s see YB as I’m sure there was for SOS. Now the OCX will have its say too and word is out that there has been a change so we will see who shows up. Either way, playing another team in T1 and T2 is only good for the game.

yeah, yesterday offensive ac on hills, destroying inner outer siege and inner siege… Seriously, this exist now for month…. It’s really time that Anet make something…

Isn’t that nuts. The only thing that can level the playing field against the blobs or mindless spammers that really think condi is the only build on eles and necros is to allow siege to do its job so less can defend.

How much better for the game if 10 can hold off 30 with siege or make the ones on the outer wall be more inventive and use something else but ground targeted aoes from necros, eles, rangers.

At least BG bothers to fight and doesn’t hide from 20 people in a sieged up tower. On the flip side, pretty sweet to make bank on an alt in T1 dishing the pain back to those who thought it funny to spawn camp FA with trebs last week.

You are so right. BG fights at least. They don’t tower hug, portal hug and send cows into spawn. Can’t stand YB.

I was on my alt in TC too and they were leading I was like no way, but I think the double team has loosened them up a bit. No deal with YB so its a free for all. Finally. No deals made where BG watches from the walls of red keep and north gate as JQ caps without even a bad word between them. Veloka the payment. Seen that a few times. Thought it odd, never saw that with any other server.

Should be an easy week for BG, even without a “PUSH”

I don’t think SoS or FA went to BGBL at reset.

BG is 1v1 in SoSBL and FABL. Even then BG has three guild groups per map that coordinate better than FA or SoS because all the guilds that have moved to T3 don’t leave much left to organize.

That is an awful lot to assume about FA and SOS after a few hours, no? BG lost people to YB and they are no longer being propped up by JQ so lets see how it plays out when people from FA and SOS come on and see its not the YB blob to fight. So far in EB I’ve not been impressed by BG. Lost their keep immediately, chased out of FAs soon after. SMC flipping.

Once the grind of the week starts we will see.

Hey Hey Hey. BG got dropped regardless of how. Now we will see when the smoke clears and the grind of the week starts how it will pan out. I know FA is juiced up about not seeing the siege capped, guard hugging, portal diving blobs of YB. Means fights and more, thank the Lord.

Hey if it was toxic then more power to BG because being on FA I’ve never liked or respected YB so they deserve the toxics. Looking forward to a nice matchup actually. FA is juiced like I haven’t seen in months.

Well considering the low probability of BG being dropped to T2 it seems like fate (or anet) stepped in and gave a jolt of juice to T1 and T2 matchups. Instead of FA coming in and groaning that the endless YB horde will be this weeks opponent again we get BG. There is a buzz in FA right now. No matter how it goes this should be fun. To test your skills against a T1 team. It should go well after BG sees T2 isn’t a cake walk.

Just fought BG in the keep and they didn’t get it. SOS opens up the match taking the BG keep. SM has been flipped so far. Just the BLs are getting hammered but there is a queu so not sure but its better than losing by 250k and a dead matchup before it starts.

Here is another example of how it is impossible to defend using siege on a wall. This time it’s Langor. About 5 of us were catting to get Blue keep back. YB had rolled our corner again keeping everything paper. We rushed yaks to Lang to get walls reinforced and began catting. Then the YB scout alerted the blob that the sky was falling, 5 FA were on the map.
We dropped ACs on front wall to defend the gate against the YB horde. We were on the ACs as they got to the gate and threw rams. The ACs lasted 20 seconds at best, not one bag, no damage to the rams, and worse yet, not one fatality to a YB blobber.

The ground aoe as pictured in my screenshot makes siege irrelevant and basically useless. Look how far inside the rings reach. How are you to defend and keep people interested in coming to a map? Where do you put the siege? When you can’t level the playing field against a constant blob by using siege then what are you to do? Stop coming to the map? Just back cap and run if you can do it fast enough. Not the case with YB who keeps scouts at everything including sentries and mithril nodes.
Just looking for some balance here. I don’t mind being outnumbered but allow us to defend against the numbers with siege and defensive strategy. Stop giving all the advantages to the mindless blob. It’s killing WvW. It doesn’t take any skill to be one of 40 spamming ground aoe and 1 for a week.

I don’t think you need to abuse non-LOS at north inner garri to hit inside with an AC placed outside the gate. All you have to do is target through the little opening at the top of the gate. Works from inside the gate too. You can hit the “garage” area with AC fire from the ground, inside the gate. I have not tried targeting over the gate as an attacker, but I’ve seen others do it, and I always put an AC on the ground next to the gate inside, for defense, and target over the top of the gate.

I was told they dropped acs in the turrets under the corners at each end of the wall so thats how they did it through the expoliot or zoom hack. And as for ACs hitting the garages, they don’t hit the back unless the are on the front wall of inner and the way it is today you can’t put ACs for long on walls or steps anymore.

Here is another death on AC just tonight. I had to wait until I died so I could be effective on the AC but not one bag either and wasn’t on it for long. The rings were much more than this but I missed the perfect shot while fighting.
