Giuld Banks

I am sure this has bothered others…Please allow the giuld bank to act the same as personal banks. Currently when trying add to stacks in the giuld bank, it doesnt work. I have to pull the stack into my inventory and then combine them. It would be even better if the giuld bank had a resource bank like personal ones, but i would settle for being able to stack matts and runes without pulling them into my inventory.

Ive been reading some of the comments and I don’t think alot of people’s concerns actually concern them. there are lots of people who play many different game modes, and to each thier own. If there was a Duel mode why would that be a bad thing for someone who doesn’t want to play duels?

I think the idea is good. the problem with it now and why it is always empty is because it is hard to coordinate duels with people on other servers on the fly. If you could duel people on the same server that would be nice. either that or… make OS all servers, the way edge of the mists is. that might bring enough people into the stadium to get some regular dueling going. also would make the jp more of an event.

My suggestion would be to add a sort of “Defend the city” raid instance for each major city. They all could have different rewards (unique armor for that city) for defending against that race’s natural enemy.

This would be a good way of making each city a bit more unique and populated.

This is a bit out there but also had this thought.
An alternate idea , which leaves the realm of raiding and more of world event is each city could come under attack on intervals and have instances open (with limited number of players per instance). the event could happen in each overflow so the instances arnt overflow specific. You could also sign your guild up maybe and give priority for guild mates who are joining so you can fight together.

Just an idea either way im sure whatever anet does will be great!

Finishers for whichever legendary weapon you have equiped.

when a legendary weapon is equiped, a Special stomp finisher becomes available that is unique to that legendary.

eg – Dreamer could be a giant unicorn dancing on the body, Meteorlogicus coudl be a lightning storm appears, ect ect. (Rodgort could appear and sing “TROGDOR!!!” for the torch haha)

Metabolic Primer item

I have noticed a few things with the Metabolic Primer that , for me, makes the item not worth the price until it is adressed

1. please include durations for Maint oil and sharpening stones ect, as this is half my food cost

2. Please turn off timer when in pvp, so when I decide to play Pvp for a few days, where food gives no bonus, it doesnt tick away at my primer duration

Fixing the issue with stealth and friends

Too many thiefs are doing this trolling for it to be just “skill check”. Your right, stealth isn’t god mode, but in my opinion it is being abused. Leaving combat freely and coming back in 30 seconds to try and get lucky is not skill. I have spent upwards of 10 mins at a time fighting one thief with 3 people constantly, because i can’t land enough hits before the thief stealths and runs away till his health is back up.

If anet is going to nerf vigor abilities to get rid of the amount of dodges people do, they should do something about stealth as most thiefs i run into spend more time in it than out.

As for stability I was unaware as i don’t rely heavily upon it, my mistake.

My inclusion of distortion and invuln was only to balance out the scales, as a straight up nerf to stealth wouldnt be fair to thiefs. If stealth is removable, so should be others.

There are four non-removable states. Stealth, distortion, stability, and invulnerablity.

Now tho they are not technically boons, my suggestion would have them treated as boons. Now none of us want them to be easily removed so my suggestion is that they be treated the same way certain combo skills are treated. To do this, they would be considered Superior Boons, and when effected by a boone remover they would have a 20% chance to be removed.

So a stealthed thief who is null fielded better get out or every second it has a chance to remove his stealth.

This would stop 1 thief from trolling 6 people so easily (although im sure its not easy to chain that much stealth for the average player, but i see it so much its crazy).

For distortion or invuln, only non-attack boon removers would work obviously.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

With the time it spent to get all of this, My asking price is 320g. That is a little more than the full out value if you traded gold to influence, but that would take months. I feel this is fair but would love to hear your thoughts.

Ascended Armor Suggestion

Since Ascended armor is soooOO expensive in comparison…I suggest they update the armor so it doesn’t break. That would be a cool perk for all the work you put in getting it. That is all.

So recently this happened to me. I Was preparing to make an ascended armor piece and misread some info on the internet. I crafted a vision crystal but only needed a lesser vision crystal. The one I crafted was 2.5x the value and It turns out I do not need it for the piece I was making. I don’t really need it at all. Worse, I was researching a way to reverse this and there doesn’t seem to be a way. With the amount of time invested into gathering all the resources it takes to make these items, It would be nice if you did not lose all that time on a mistake.

Proposition:
A special NPC where you can trade vision crystals for lesser vision crystals , 1 for 2 , you still lose a bit but its more acceptable.

or

Allow us to deconstruct it at crafting vendor and get the supplies back.

New Boss Events for Cursed Shores

As things are right now:

Cursed shores are no longer the place to go to farm. There are rarely enough people to do temples or events with on most servers. The only real reason to be there is personal story or arah.

Suggested Change:

Dragons.

Several locations around cursed shores where every hour there is a chance for a lesser dragon to spawn there. With a drop of 5-15 dragonite maybe this would allow people a way to farm dragonite without going back and forth on servers finding world bosses.

During arah story mode there were tons of dragons you fight before the big Z, so wouldn’t it make sense? The fights wouldn’t have to be world boss size, because it would be nice if they were more mobile.

With this kind of thing to draw people into cursed shores, I believe temple quests would be more convienient to do and you would see them being opened more often.

Open world Duels [Merged]

What if there were scattered NPC around the world, and they were extremely difficult fights. For those who like a challenge. It would be neat if it was not instanced, and just happened in open world. Just an idea that occured to me while reading a “put dueling players in pve” forum.

I really enjoyed the queens gambit while it happened, so a tie-in to that would be cool. Ideas for that: The NpC that beats the most users can be buffed and fight in the queens gambit when that comes back in season; or some of the Higher end NPCs from queens gambit can be some of the duel options in the open world, and have different fight mechanics with the new surroundins. Ladri Could be even harder in her natural enviroment.

When queens gambit starts again they could all dissapear from open world and be in the gambit so it really feels like a tournament.

I would only enjoy it if it was really challenging though.

Mesmer Suggestions

I know alot of People think the mesmer is op as it is. As an average-skill level mesmer player I don’t believe that to be true as I am being stomped as much as doing the stomping.

Mesmers have taken many nerfs since launch and im ok with that, but I think there are ways of improving the mesmer that will just make it more interesting.

1. Allow scepter to have some sort of finisher. Maybe the third Attack-1 could be a projectile finisher or attack-3 could have a 20% chance for one or something. It just feels like there could be more for people who want to combo things.

2. I have heard people say when they see a GS mesmer heading their way they jump up and kick thier heels metaphorically, giving thanks for the free kill. To some extent this is true. Options to give the gs some more depth: Make the attack-5 (the wave) a blast finisher. Another idea would be to make each bounce of the Attack-2 a projectile finisher and not just the first. As is, I feel its underpowered in non pve play.

3: Confusion: It was nerfed a little too hard, but not by much. Im not saying go back to the way it was (cause that was crazy), but I think one thing that can help Confusion lovers is taking the cooldown down to 5 on perplexity runes. It only has a 20% chance to inflict confusion on hit, I don’t see the need for the cooldown to begin with. That would help with confusion biulds on Engineers aswell and make them more viable.

4. The Trait for Mesmer’s in Inspiration that allows healing on shatters gives such pitiful healing. Would like an increase in healing for that as I have never read anywhere of anyone using that trait. A defensive shatter bunker would be fun.

I don’t feel any of this would make Mesmer OP, I would just like to see more biulds viable and some more depth to the playstyle.

Movement Speed Food

Im not sure how much this has been discussed, but what would be grand is a food that boosts movement speed. Maybe not to the full 33% to be fair to people who trait into constant footspeed, but even 20% would be nice.

I play a mesmer and recently i have been trying a condition based mesmer in wvw. Without the focus or runes there is no way (except maybe getting lucky with a chaos storm) to get swiftness for land travel.

It would be fun to not have to run specific weapons/skills/traits in wvw and still move around at a decent speed. The tradeoff would obvoiusly be that you cannot use any other food so I feel it would be balanced.

Feel free to post your thoughts on this.

Every class is quite a bit different from one another. It would have to be something unique for sure. Something like:

Druid: (ranger/warrior) Heavy armor

A class based around obstructing movement:
Lots of cripple and chill to enimies, swiftness and stability to allies
Class ability: Vine trail-while running, a vine barrier grows behind you for as long as you hold the skill down. While using this skill, the player will lose stats for a short time relative to how long they use the skill.

Enemies cannot pass the vine walls until they are destroyed

Traits can include: making melee attacks on the vine cause criple/bleeds, allow vine creation to cost less power/percisio/ect .

Skills can all be nature based, like summoning animals to help you, creating seed shooters, ect.

Weapons: Long/short bow, spear (on land)

to do a new class however, anet would prob have to rebalance the classes and take a bit away from the other heavies so that the new class would have a place and unique use.

Thats just an example…but the class would have to have a really unique playstyle. Like “dual shield” unique lol

Ok , so was thinking. There should be a dragon event for zhaitan…why does teq get to be super hard and 5 people with half-working turrets can kill zhaitan?

So here is what I propose. A new map (not too big) reachable by a pact airship. The purpose of going there is to hunt down zhaitan after he falls in the story mode.

Players can be greeted by lvl 80 mobs and pre-zhaitan events…and a Zhaitan world event, where you fight the grounded Zhaitan trying to give him the metaphorical double tap to finish the job you started in arah story mode.

Wvw map room for BL and/or EB

Places this idea could be implemented: BL Garrison Keep, EB Central Keep

with the height of these keeps, I imagine there would be quite a view. Why not use this to implement another wvw feature? Near the top of these keeps there could be a lookout tower with a map-room that could show locations of 10+ zergs on the map if they are in areas viewable from the keep.

This would make holding the keeps more strategic and people would defend them alot harder.

Another thing this could do is add another non-zerg element to the game. With this, there is even more innitiative to run in smaller units.

Wvw loot

I had an idea while I watched everyone farm the invasion events instead of trying to complete them on my server.

Champ Loot. Allow it to drop from players.

Hear me out…If there is a dude running around in wvw with like 6 kills without a death…or i dunno…10…and you kill him..he could drop champ loot.

I feel this is important because with the new champ loot system in PvE i can’t help feel thakittens taking away our paying customers. And we need them…to make other servers pay aswell.

How Fighting Thieves could be Fun AND Hard

You can’t nerf stealth because thats the fun part of ganking. BUT you could probably add a split second delay before your next attack if your attack doesn’t land. Or added to the backstab skills “If this skill does not hit, weakness for 3 seconds” or something like that.

That would force a thief to be really good at his profession to melt you while you are running towards your zerg

Free Transfers for Lower Tier Servers

This is not my idea. I seen this in another Post and thought it warranted its own topic.

So free transfers from lower tier servers. No one above a certain tier can transfer free, and people from lower tiers cannot transfer past that same point for free. This would fix so many things.

When people pay to leave their server, it is to go to a higher level server, not a mid tier server. This leaves a situation where mid tier servers cannot gain footing again after guilds leave to be in a higher tier (Leaving instead of working the way there).

If things remain without change, there will never be even compitition except at the very top of the ladder. Making it easier for lower tiers to grow can’t be a bad thing.

Home instance portal

with more being added to the home instance, Maybe an option to load up there upon entering the game. Maybe options to load in Home instance, Previous Location, Or the upcoming Guild hall. It could even be a default setting that can be changed. I hate loading up in the middle of a mob of dudes, or dead.

Im thinking a good way to introduce this idea is through a living story. After a year of fighting the undead, the Fall of zhaitan (for those who completed personal story) and running around orr countless times , It would be nice to see some progress in getting rid of the undead problem. Just a little to suggest that a dent is being made.

I think there could be a living story event where we drive back and hold a part of orr and ready it for a sort of cleansing. This would allow that area to grow into what orr would have looked like before the undead arived. With Large non-undead Monsters/creatures for the loot lovers and settlements of people looking to strike it rich in a resource rich land. A large military presence at the front lines holding back the undead and constantly fighting to take more land (and possibly loosing some land) would allow for possibilities for new event chains.

Also maybe the resistance brings the attention of another dragon…maybe a dragon minion of zhaitans left without a master, (new dragon event maybe). but that is just a side note.

I just feel like the idea of orr has such potential and some variation would really bring that out. Maybe a fleet arrives on the island in cursed shores…or somewhere in malchors leap.

Im interested in what people think about this idea dont be shy.

Mini Story Quests

My suggestion is to add NPCs throughout the game that give players access to 5-10 part mini quests. Have them instanced like personal story is, but not as long. These Mini quests would take a few days of casual play solo or with a group (and having selectable difficulty would be fun)

At the end of each quest there could also be a unique boss fight to wrap things up and really put the cherry on top. And stories could include wars towns, Defending a town from giants or something, Ancient Dark powers arising from a anciently dark temple, A quest to kill a dragon hatchling before it grows to large to handle, A quest to rescue a damsel. Just quests that make you feel epic about the experience.

I just think it would be nice to get a little more role-playing in the game to counteract the farming side of the game. I would even purchase an access token to epic mini stories for 100 gems or something (hint hint could potentially make money)

Legendary Weapons Additional Ability

Lets allow us to flaunt our legendaries around like peakitten feathers. What I’m suggesting is for each legendary , there should be a unique non-combat ability you can use. (even an emote only usable when equipping a legendary. The Legendaries with really noticable enviroment effects (rainbows and footsteps) maybe can be left out.

Best way to explain is through example:

In City (or OOC) effects:
The Minstrel : Allow you to play as if it was an instrament, making innactive people start a dance emote. (or just npcs)
Howler: All animals run and follow you in the area
Meteorlogicus: a rain clowd appears and rains in your area

you get the idea. Lets make them fun to get it won’t hurt anyone and will be that much more legendary. lets face it, some of these legendaries need a facelift..

Lions arc And city waypoint travel

Make travel to any City free.
Currently, you can get to any city free, its just a really annoying process. Anywhere on map > Wvw > Lions arc asura gate > Asura gate from lions arc to any city . If you can do it for free this way, why not just make travel to any city free and cut out all the map changing.

I know for most people this wont be a big deal since they spend lots of time in the game and a few silver are nothing, but to some others this would save them time as they may want to spend their silver on gear and upgrades instead.

Falling Damage Reduction traits

This is a small one, but I was just thinking , it would be nice if as an added bonus of running a character using the Falling damage reduction traits (Ie. you take 50% less falling damage and create a healing blah blah when you fall) , you wont face-plant when you hit the ground. If the point of the trait is to have a character who is trained to fall from higher heights without dieing, perhaps he should not get a knockdown when hitting the ground aswell. (as long as it doesn’t bring his health to 0) . Maybe instead of getting knocked down, a little roll or something. I feel like i’m not being overly clear, but there is my idea.

Wvw Bridge Explosives siege

Just a thought for a new wvw siege :

Have explosives added to the list of siege weapons. how I imagine it working, is you drop the siege in the general area of a bridge (the farther away, the more supplies it takes). where you drop the siege is where the trigger is, and you can press it to blow up the bridge. You can just blow it to slow down an incoming zerg, or you can blow it when the zerg is crossing the bridge for even more mayhem. After the bridge is blown, a worker from a nearby camp will start repairing the bridge and it will be back up when its finished. Defending the worker until the bridge is repaired can be an event also.
