Guild Rules:
No Cheating: The Provoked have a no cheating policy. If a member is caught either using an illegal third-party program or in-game exploit, he or she will be removed from Guild. Members also will not benefit from the cheating of non-guilded players. If you are in a pick-up party/group/squad and players are exploiting, you are expected to leave or if you are leading the raid/group, to remove the players whom are cheating.
Drama/Public Conduct: Trash talking by members is not permitted. We do not respond to trolls on forums nor do we troll other players. In the same spirit, we have a no-tolerance policy on drama. Players who cause drama will be removed from the guild. If a member has a problem with a person, policy, or leadership he/she is expected to come to leadership directly to address the issue. When a member has an issue with a specific member of leadership he/she may contact another member of leadership to resolve the issue.
Attendance: Provoked consistently holds guild events throughout the week. Players online during these events are required to participate. There may be occasions that members will be required to attend “non-scheduled” guild events. Leadership may require players that are online to participate in All-Calls or Rallys when they deem it necessary.
Forum Contribution: Members are required to regularly visit and contribute to the Guild website. There will often be important information and announcements posted on the forums that members may be required to read and sign by replying. Members may also be required to participate in public forums where we expect members to help provide constructive input to further build the community and represent the guild in a positive manner.
TS3: Members must have TS3 installed/configured and a working headset is preferred. Members must use their in-game name as their Teamspeak username and the phonetic should only contain their name. When on the Jade Quarry TS3 server, members must have their name properly tagged with [Pro]. During guild events, if members are in-game they are required to be in Teamspeak unless arrangements have been made with leadership (playing at work for example). During organized events, there will be a designated member running the event and members will need to know when to be quiet so that individual may provide instruction without interruption.
No Sharing Private Strategies or Information: Showing or leaking information from the Members-Only section of the forums or other known Guild strategies to parties outside of the guild without permission from Guild leadership will result in removal from the Guild.
Guild Priority: Members are expected to value their fellow guild mates as well as their tag. Guild members will always be selected for grouping over those not in the Guild. The Provoked is a team as well as a brotherhood and functions as such.
Primary Focus:
WvW: All calls are hosted every other day excluding Fridays, with the only exception being the weekend. We focus primarily on open-field fights often against much greater numbers, we rarely turn away from a fight, and we never build siege to turn a fight in our favor.
sPvP & Roaming: Many of our core members enjoy and participate in sPvP hot joins as well as roaming on BL’s during off hours. It is encouraged within the guild to build individual member skill.
PvE: Our PvE goes as far as guild missions and other events in order to earn ascended items and gear for WvW builds.
GvG’s: We are currently in the process of building an active core to conduct GvG’s with.
The History and the Journey:
Upon a cold winter night, an idea began to form. Most great things begin as such. Already part of a strong guild, this idea was subtle at first, but grew to a calling. A few good men (and some kitten with gold named Bryan) gathered and the idea soon took shape. Led by Joker, it was decided to forge a guild that would remain small, yet indomitable. All involved would take up great responsibility to "be the best possible.” The Few… The PROud, now became, The PROvoked.
The Provoked soon became more than a guild, it became a brotherhood. Today, members simply enjoy working effectively together. There is no strife, no conflict, only the desire to grow and continuously improve until we are the best. The Provoked continues to turn the tides of battle in WvW, and to hold massive enemy forces at bay through organized and competitive play. Each success and defeat is viewed as a learning experience that will help us continue to grow.
Is our founding idea blossoming in you?
Join the brotherhood and take your place among..
The Few, The [Pro]ud, The [Pro]voked.
Mission Statement:
Provoked is a competitive, team focused guild. Our overarching goal is simple, ‘to be the best in PvP’ by formulating the highest levels of teamwork, organization, communication, coordination, and practice. On top of this we aim to provide a positive and mature atmosphere where new members can be trained to become the next generation of top caliber players.
Teamwork: If Provoked could be summed up in one word it would be Teamwork. All members undoubtedly believe the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Everyone, including leadership, pool resources together as a guild to achieve our goals, not expecting direct return on an individual level. Additionally, all team members show mutual respect and professionalism toward one another.
Integrity: We do not cheat, exploit, or spy on other guilds and we do not tolerate those that do. Members do not talk in a negative fashion to other players or guilds. We believe in walking the walk, not talking the talk.
Attitude: Attitude is the most important factor when evaluating the potential in new members of Provoked. We look for positive and humble players with the initiative to learn. All members regardless of experience and rank look for opportunities to improve themselves regardless of perceived skill level.
Communication: Proper communication is a crucial aspect to success in any gaming environment. TS3 in Provoked can become a seemingly chaotic place. Members need to communicate clearly and loudly when required in voice chat, and know to keep quiet when leaders are speaking. Leaders do not want to repeat themselves and they cannot efficiently lead players who do not respond to orders.
Progression: Potential recruits of the Provoked are not solely recruited based on personal experience and past achievements. Instead, members are recruited based on their willingness to learn and be trained. All members look forward to receiving constructive feedback and look for opportunities to step up and learn new skills and strategies.

…and the way ICoa (Kin), KnT (Rid) and TMD (Choc) has reacted has effectively burnt all bridges…
Cool. Good to know the rep’s of BG doesn’t kiss kitten after getting kittened, like so many others. “Totally understand, have fun in JQ” /puke.
Remember to save some of all that gold for armor repairs.
Remember to save some of that PvE for leagues
Edited: more friendly
Just for the record BG you have a history of going feral on guilds that decide to move but stay within T1. Leave them alone and move on – guilds come and go all the time, after all its just a game and everyone has different goals and motivations to play.
Some of you need to step away and remind yourselves of that and stop with the personal attacks.
Good luck to all (=

[Pro] looking for some GvG’s this week.

Challenge on http://www.gw2gvg.com/
How is US t1 now?. Any guilds actually running in 20-30 man or is it all on 1 commander 24/7 60-100 man blobs all week?. Making usual excuse for being bad its not gvg its wvw… From reading first few pages seems fair few guilds interested in some GvG. How are the EU hours?. How is the lag etc?.
There are some that still run those numbers although it is mostly zerg blobs. There are definitely plenty of guilds on all servers looking for some GvG’s though!
Can’t speak towards EU hours.
Good for you BT, GvG is kitten measuring plain and simple. It is the fall back “come at me bro” of WvW, and hilarious when you think about the implications. First off, and I’m sure you can relate, TSYM has chewed up zergs 3, 4, even 5 times our size before because they are uncoordinated or we were better trained. We have also outnumbered an enemy and through skilled manipulation of the terrain, a well placed piece of siege, or a 3+ stage feign/portal flank were sent packing.
The point is this, if you need that balance to make sure that your kitten remains unchallenged, WvW is not your stage. Being in situations where you are outnumbered drastically, or taking a massive force against another massive force, practicing the 5 Ds of Dodgeball until one of you makes the winning play and claim victory (and bags) is what WvW is all about!
What I think you are looking for, is sPvP/tPvP. Don’t come in here and bawl when its not balanced, or your team isn’t big enough. If you had 10 amazingly skilled people, and I rolled you over with 50, who is at fault? Me for killing you, or you for parking that little SmartCar of a force in my way? Honestly, its not OUR fault that sPvP isn’t more popular. Turns out people want to play with a more dynamic battlefield, and enjoy larger, more epic, and less structured fights.
Nothing gets a team on cloud nine faster than taking a massive force out with a bare bones small op team. Try it, if they beat you, try it again! Its intensely hard, but so rewarding when you accomplish it!
Oh yea, and BT welcome to T1. Here, when asked how many you had with you, the answer is always around 10-15.
WvW is all meta game, your not going to wipe a force with a sizable difference in numbers unless you somehow come out with a new meta that no one knows what is going on to counter it or you have a bunch of siege sitting behind u. I think those days are long gone until Anet decides to change the balance again.
You say GvG is a ‘kittening measuring plain’ but in reality it is not.. If you think wiping a button mashing zerg with rarely ever any individual player skill on never even playing grounds makes your guild good; your in for a rude awakening. I think GW2 is designed as an MMO targeting a more casual crowd – not unlike WoW, but you should not be so quick to insult the skilled players that seek that level of play within the game.
I think we will see a big difference in the separation of skilled groups and zergs with the up and coming fixes of skill lag and balance in general, much like many games in the past some still live by the philosophy SKILL > ZERG. But there is only so much you can do in a young game when the odds are stacked against you in terms of mechanics, balance and lag.
Do not take this as a kittening whining post about all the things above, instead a perspective from a guild that was founded on skill for the fields of GvG.
Also don’t get me wrong – I’ve been there leading massive zergs wiping and getting wiped by other massive zergs as one of the leaders/founders of [ICoa]. That play style gets boring fast and has already burnt out a lot of the best commanders that have ever played this game. I suggest you seek something to better challenge your personal skill and commanding skill.

[Pro] vs [Choo]: 3-4
[Pro] vs [TW]: 0-3
[Pro] vs [VH]: 16-2Much respect to all challengers, was a lot of fun for both sides
How come only 3 brawls vs. TW, 7 vs. Choo, but 18 vs. VH? Was there no agreed best of # or first team to score # points?
there was no agreed terms with [VH] they led us to the spot just south of the southern most camp, and just kept respawning.

LOL, [SG] you act like you didn’t die over and over to us (while we were GvG-ing another guild I might add). At worst you were a minor annoyance, not even worth much thought. Give us a call for a GvG when you get relevant in WvW
Respect begets respect.
I’d like to thank [Pro] for the great GvG today, those are the types of fights that I love playing GW2 for. Tip of the hat to you guys.
Oh we did die to you guys as does everybody die to everybody else. However the difference is we had 8, you had what 3 full groups?
You guys are horrible players balanced by a metric ton of warm bodies. You say it was a minor annoyance yet you came to the forums to cry. We literally laughed when we found you guys GvG’n and said “He lets make them whine on the forums” 10 min laters. Whines on the forums. Was the single best thing all nights. We even said we would trade all of our points for that one whine post.
Were a hit and run guild. So talking in TS holding hands and kitten stroking each other on the forums is not really our thing, while we set up a duel is not really our thing. We will see you on the battlefield. That’s where it will all be sorted out.
Next time we will GvG in your garrison
A lot of fun GvGing tonight – learned a lot, will be working out the seams for next time ;P
Only our second GvG but much respect to the competition [TW] & [Choo].. was a pleasure

Great fights in SoR border for reset.
Dang you and your melee train

You loved it
Great fights in SoR border for reset.
Good fights in JQBL tonight, had a lot of fun while it lasted. Got work early tomorrow.. must sleep.
Icoa has alot of good players who follow their commanders well, the problem is their commanders have no idea what their doing. Their recent video consists of the commander clicking his skills. I mean come on dude….
You wouldn’t even make it to recruit status in Choo let alone commander. Put a KnT/HB/Agg/FoE commander in charge of your group so we can have some real competition, because right now your guild has no chance at being remotely competitive under your leadership.
Show me a video where I click my skills. D=
I looked over the stream are you the only member of work? That’s really hardcore lol. Our NA prime time is 60% posers, 10% icoa, and 30% good guilds It’s so funny that it’s always the bads that chest thump.
I’m going to assume you are not from ICoa even considering you singled them out in your post. I don’t care how “good” you deem yourself to be or how “good” you deem the guild you hail from or your views on how “good” you believe some guilds are, you don’t call over half of your NA prime time allies “posers”. Heck, I wouldn’t even call 10% of your NA prime time “posers” just the handful of forum warriors that you have here.
Anyone that is dedicated to coming to WvW for the good of the server, and puts their time into helping do not deserve to be called that. Maybe a few forum warriors here that decide to claim others are “bads” and have nothing to back it up can be called that.
Have a little respect for you allies, seriously. Even I have a little more respect for them than that, and they are sworn enemies.
Well said.
Some footage during reset vs [Choo] enjoy!
Sorry about the early cut offs, didn’t want to show anything tactical
Good fights, hope to have many, many more!
How many times did you wipe us? Three off the top of my head between the hours of 6pm CST (reset time) and 12 pm CST. Once when we first tried to take garrison after a long haul of holding the third floor, once again when you had four superior balistas in the lords room and we wiped on the second floor, and once at the north camp. I honestly can’t comment on the north camp cause I was alt-tabbed, but you did indeed wipe us.
If I recall correctly, while I was commanding after I finally got back into the map there was at least 5+ [Choo] wipes. One north of the bay plateau, one at north camp (gods), one at north west camp, couple of times in garrison (with seige and without during double teams).
While this chest banging and QQing is very entertaining, I will be online and commanding Wednesday if you would like to organize a GvG I will gladly oblige.
Good fights though, a lot of fun and looking forward to it again.
Thanks for the loot iCoa! 40+ Bags
I think you got the wrong picture, I haven’t been on that island all night.
Definitely fun fights in BGBL tonight though
I wonder what happened to Midgetmaster… Haven’t seen him around lately Rethesis.
Regardless good fights in TCBL on reset, got dc’ed from stupid teamspeak a couple times but got a lot of badges and a lot of good fights.
See you all out there tonight
ICoa is throwing up an open challenge for GvG tommorow (monday) night.
Please mail me in game if interested
Good fights so far!
“mass of text”
While this could have been handled in a much more professional way, those of us on TC do still appreciate being alerted to any potential issues and you can rest assured that they will be dealt with appropriately.
Hello all,
On behalf of Imperial Coalition, I will personally be dealing with the Issue of posting exploits on the main official Guild Wars 2 forums. I apologize as some of our members were unaware of how we deal with exploiting and exploiting footage.
I can assure you that this will be addressed and will not happen again, and in the future will continue to be handled in a more professional and efficient way.
While I am personally still saddened that (said game developer) has not fixed environmental anomalies and glitches within the game. The people here at [ICoa] strongly disagree with any exploiting in WvW.
Please direct all future rebuttals, questions, comments and concerns to myself (via personal message).
Thank you and best of luck in WvW
Respectfully,
Imperial Coalition [ICoa] Leadership
Looks like a bunch of free badges to me.
I enjoyed that video! I was rolling with the KnT crew while in TS3 with them, so hearing your communications and seeing your side of the battle was a lot of fun. We were impressed by how much damage you guys seemed to be putting out. Great fights! The BG/TC/FA fights that happened in Bay a little bit later were hilarious.
Hey thanks! Yeah, the fights that followed the initial takedown were great. So many epic battles. After a while we kept trying to pull groups into the water so we could have a water battle.
We got one against Icoa on Friday and we really wanted to have another crack at it. Videos of this epic underwater adventure to come!
Was definitely a fun night for me commanding =), even if we were running with 1/4 of our numbers due to the queues.. I really do hope you guys got it recorded!
Was definitely some epic underwater battles! See you guys out there again Wednesday night ;P

Score update @ 9AM GMT
couldn’t help but notice the score positioning in this screen shot was rather convenient, hope you guys are enjoying JQ’s multi zergs… See you guys in a couple weeks ;P
Good fights in TCBL, TC you guys are certainly persistent ;P Too tired too command, see you guys out there tomorrow.
JQ zerg in EBG, was that mithril node worth it ;P?
Whichever server it is, I’m kitten sure they can both beat SoR any day of the week :P
I concur, I look forward to the day we get to face the almighty SoR again.
Lets keep this one on track and not locked for the remainder of the week =)
Some footage I have from late saturday night when Blackgate was trying to hold SoS and JQ out of hills in SoS borderlands. It was some of the best fighting that I’ve been part of in a long time. I had over 40minutes of footage so it was a bit hard to cut down. Hopefully everyone enjoys.
You left out Jokers greatest tactical move of the night =(
Shhh, I told you guys not to tell anyone!
I dont understand Blackgates strat today, you guys arent defending your Boarderlands, and your still not going up against SoS on any of the maps ? Would have thought you guys wanted to try to stay in T1…. oh well…
Well Blackgate understands your strat, fill with bandwagon and lose EBG SM to a handful of BG.
BG then proceeded to take SoS towers while JQ hid in their tower trebbing SM, You don’t understand the strat of a server that has a handful of people on for 6 hours?
BG took SoSBL Garrison last night and held it with no walls for hours while JQ attacked BGs spawn tower unsuccessfully. Stick to your strat, seems to be working, I think BG likes no Q times
Amen, BG will be back in the new Tier 1 someday.
A Video of VoTF’s first couple of days in this match up
Been awesome fighting you guys.
Hi guys, this is the evidence of SoS and JQ teaming up against BG in EB
/sarcasm
I should rephrase, It mostly occurs during NA prime… from what i’ve seen the oceanics on both servers are respectable.
Sad show from Tier 1 servers thus far, You hold SMC yet never take advantage of its tactical benefits against blue. Never in any of the previous tiers have I seen it more obvious. Tier 2 was more a show of Skill and tactics than Tier 1.
All we got in Tier 1 is two zerg servers banding together afraid to lose their positions.
We’ll strip it from you eventually, your double team is nothing but a very very sad and disgusting delay. No one deserves to be up this high with those kind of tactics.
Ps: Awesome fights in JQ border for reset, sadly got doubled out of the map towards the later hours. Can’t fight two mega zergs at once D=
Just a few hours into the match and already we have condescending attitudes toward Blackgate. You all can kindly stop that junk now. Never in this history of this game has Blackgate fought for 2nd place. We always go for #1.
SoS, you all shouldn’t talk, considering most of the bandwagon guilds we had moved to your server after our first week in T1, [Agg] being the largest of them.
JQ – I have nothing bad to say. Your guilds fight with honor and are a pleasure to meet in battle. I just hope you realize this isn’t the same Blackgate you fought a few months ago.
We all know in a match like this, the war doesn’t start until Monday. Let’s try to keep scoreboard posturing and trolling attitudes to a minimum. After 2 months against SoR, pretty safe to say all of us are sick of trolls who talk a big game and can’t hurt us on the scoreboard. If trolling is all you can bring to this discussion, I hear cracked.com is looking for people for their comment section.
We moved from Blackgate to SoS when BG was about to hit T1 and SoS was still in T4.
<3
We’ve changed a lot since then
Just want you guys to know, Reset in tier 1 was much easier than it was with you guys SoR.
[ICoa] Will be right behind you [HB]

Probably one of the best portals I’ve seen in awhile in the BG-Bl just now at the tower by BG.
Is that sarcasm?
[ICoa] Imperial Coalition hit 500 active members tonight, under a month and a half old and have come far.. the best is yet to come.
Nice fights in bgbl and tcbl tonight.
