I can finally start the game now, but for awhile it was really weird, I couldn’t start the game while MSI afterburner was running. Also I currently have that weird 2 second freezing issue when I Alt+tab.

I can open the launcher and get past the login, but when I click play the launcher closes itself like always, except nothing else happens, the program is just shutting itself down. Several hours ago I put in a support ticket with this info and at that time I was able to uninstall and reinstall, but it didn’t help.

Right now since its reinstalled I’m having the same loading issue, but I can’t even uninstall it like before, when I try the launcher opens and there’s a message on it that says “Download failed! Please check your internet connection and try again(3)”.

When I open the launcher I can login but after I click play nothing happens, the program just terminates itself.

Yea I don’t see why Female Charr and Asura would need to have flat Armor, all races need those nice breastplates. “Im not a perv” anyways I would not like the armor to be swapped to the male Variant.

Now first of all, I know that if someone targets you before stealth it will hit, but this is different, I have noticed for a few days that all elementalists with a staff in pvp could target me in stealth at any point with thier auto attacks, and again this is for elementalists with a staff only. Anyways this bug wasnt that bad because those auto attacks don’t do much, but it would let the whole other team know where I was, so I died alot. Also I am not sure if this is only happening in the server im in, but either way It sucks and I hope someone will look into it.

I may be overreacting, but it still seems like every person ive fought that isnt a thief will just takes slivers of dmg , and then turn around and burst me, I mean these days I don’t even feel safe when im in stealth XD

IMO, if most other professions build themselves with a decent amount of defense, they will not only be able to soak the dmg a thief puts out, but still have enough dmg to burst a thief down especially if they use conditions.

Yes mace would be amazing for thief, I would imagine lots of stuns would come from a mace XD, also a greataxe could be amazing and I would think that alot of classes could utilize one, but I have a feeling that they won’t be to keen about adding a entirely new weapon sadly :/

I Agree with Op, I would like to see it changed into something like the mead keg backpack skyrim mod.

That sounds like an awesome idea, to be able to keep your money safe, If I were the devs I would seriously consider this.

So for awhile I have not touched gw2, I have not even attempted to play HOT but mabye a couple of times , becuase my GPU gets so loud no matter where I am and when I do anything in the game, And of course I have low FPS in most of the new HOT areas and All the normal cities, and the lowest FPS is in the Heart of the mists. The thing is though the card should not have these problems becuase it is an R9 390X, with a i7-2600K CPU, which with 16 ram, I thought would be enough to handle gw2 becuase I had a kitten computer before to compare. My main points though, are that I never expected to always get a flat 60 fps when playing you know, atleast in the 40-45 range becuase this computer build handles even tougher games getting flat 60 fps with most of them.

With Gw2 though ive always gotten Super bad FPS in alot of areas like around 15-20 in all cities and mabye close to a 30 all around the rest of the game, which also starts making the card run really loudly which is a pain becuase I keep the fans really clean. The weirdest thing is that if I go to certain areas in the game with noone around like mabye an empty pvp map I will get up to a flat 120 fps?!?!?! but at those moments my card flips the kitten out and gets louder than ever with temps that reach like 85-90 Celsius WTF?!?!

So to finish this up, I am kind of lost on what to do and I can only think of 3 things that could be the problem, 1. mabye I do not have the right motherboard, becuase I started out the computer build by getting a tower from my cousin with a crappy gpu which I took out, and a motherboard which I researched and it seemed to be ok 2. Gw2 is just super unoptimized 3. My power supply is about a 100 watts lower than the recommended which I was told should be fine, but mabye its not. Anyone have ideas?

If anyone has this card, i would like to know how well they can run Guild wars 2 or how loud it gets when using High graphics settings in-game. I Have been using it for awhile and have had alot of performance issues with it, I also have a good Cpu so i know its not that is not a problem. Could it be that i just got the bad card out of the bunch and go and replace it? Or is this card not as good as people said it was? Hopefully i can fix this problem soon, i have not been able to play any HOT becuase i cannot go to any of the zones without a huge fps drop and the sound of a blowdryer coming out of my tower, this has actually happened while i play in vanilla zones too.

Just to add, I have a 500 watt power supply for The Gpu i read it needed minimun 750 or for best results 850, could low power be the problem ive been having?

My Specs: XFX R9 390X 8G GPU, i7 2600K 3.4 ghz CPU, Asus P8P67 Pro 6G SATA Motherboard, and 16 G RAM, so with all this i am getting 23-28 FPS When im around any place with people, or really most places in the game, i get mabye 40-45 when im alone somewhere like in Lonars pass, but thats if its just me running around, I Know i should be getting a solid 55-60 FPS with these specs becuase i get 60 Fps in all my other high qaulity games. Is it just Amd drivers? or is the CPU not as good as i thought? Not much of a diffrence in fps from my old rig. P.S I get 60 FpS when i Play The Star Citizen Flight or Hangar Module which is insane.

Personally im a bit bummed i put alot of time into picking out a card, and now im regretting it big time i read tons of reviews i thought this would run Guild wars 2 like a dream, you see i used to have an AMD HD Radeon 5770 1G Graphics card so yeah a 7 Gig Diffrence, and i have to say they are not running any diffrent from eachother except for the fact that My new one is Way louder which also sucks becuase everyone said it was Quiet.

Well i would say I get poor FPS In Lions arch or in populated areas overall, i also lose fps in All the new Hot maps, Basically any area That has more than a field with a few Enemies.

So this is the card I bought recently, I expected to have good FPS in-game but I’m still only pulling around 30-40 fps in most places in the game, messed around with the graphics and seemed to get a boost of 5-6 fps, I really expected this card to pull 55-60 FPS with this game, I mean its not that high quality of a game.

So Either Mordremoth is truly just small , or that was a trick and it was just one of his champs. I really hope it was a champ, because the fight was so underwhelming. Anyone agree?

My computer has an intel i7 2600k processor, and my graphics card is a Radeon HD 5970, gw2 still runs just as slow as when i had an old dual core processor, why is that? should i upgrade my graphics card? becuase every other peice of hardware is updated in my computer.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, every patch I do crashes then I restart it and repeat this until it finishes, but my main problem, is I had to redownload gw2 because of windows 10 upgrade for some reason, and my download is really slow, ive been downloading for 3 hours and it is only at 4 percent, anyone know what is going on?

Like Everyone else was saying, they nerf acrobatics to give it back for our elite spec, that is super lazy, I was just starting to warm up to the idea of staff, becuase i had been wanting rifle or torch for so long, Thieves are supposed to be stealthy and hardhitting, but running around twirling a staff with little steath skills does not work, and it isnt a diffrent playstyle its just like Team Rifle Anticipated, another pointless melee weapon, thats isnt even good!!!!, I am so very dissapointed, and it goes to show how little they care about thief, whoever thinks this Elite is even a little, Hopefully they introduce the next elite specs soon, becuase ‘Daredevil’ makes me want to cry.

My mistake, when i say clones i am including phantasms too, dont flip out or anything.

I can already tell, in the new teaser that we are gonna get wayy more blinds and things we dont need, And i wouldnt get my hopes up for staff damage, dont think its gonna fix us, becuase based on the other elites i think this one will be crap. The only elite thats even decent is chronomancer, people speculate we will get some sort of shadow clone, and even if we do they wont have the health or damage of mesmers clones.

I shoudn’t of typed its not going to be special, What i mean is that they probably wont show off alot of the challenging group content, also i checked the news so your right krall, my mistake. Im just basing it off arenanets history so far with releasing info. I really dont get what is taking so long on this exspansion, dosent seem like there will be that much anyways, there was more in the exspansions in the first game, They should of waited to annouce the exspansion, you know when they have more of the major things ready, so we dont get hyped then lose it then get hyped and lose it.

Now i already know that there are “other things coming with the exspansion” but id just like to say that arenanet should show off the rest of the elites in the next few weeks, the hype for them is real right now. So i just hope they are not taking another break after warrior’s elite.

Everything you said was spot on, this stupid staff hype is out of control, i hate reading threads about how it would “be so cool to look like a panderen from Wow” makes me facepalm. Im glad to know not everyone out there supports a stupid idea like Staff monk.

So, Tempest teaser was earlyish in the morning last monday, Will the teaser be late today or are they taking another break after 1 elite spec i mean that would be stupid.

So, this isnt my idea its my cousins but, what if the engi got not only the flying drones like in the trailer, but things like turrets designed to follow you, they could add new turrets, or they could add to the current turrets, i think that sounds real cool, becuase atm you either kill someone and leave your turrets, or you pick them up and wait for the recharge to place them again.

Like i said, ive tried pretty much everything including your build, nothing hits hard enough, makes me feel like im hitting with plastic weapons.

Im not Even Lying about that damage, i have recorded videos of that damage, although the auto attacks did more like 400-1500 that still wasnt enough to bring anyone down, anyone have videos to show me otherwise, and you actually have to be fighting someone who isnt full glasscannon.

I just made a complaint thread with some similiar complaints, the thing is ive been practicing and evolving my thief up until the june 7 patch and then after, I thought id try some more builds practice against people in conquest and 1v1 arenas, and i think our damage is gone, people will say “what! ive bursted people down easy with my thief”, well ya becuase you fought the glassiest person around, but the thing is for awhile people who are not glass cannon are like unmovable rocks, since patch and even before patch!!! everytime i go to burst someone my steal does average 1k which is fine but then the hs in my combo does 800 or mabye a little more and then when i sit there trying to dodge around and autoattack its doing between 200-400 and thier health is just shaving off bit by bit, ill try backstabs which normally do 6-7k on glasscannon will do 3-5k on the average non glasscannon player, And then the funny part. They heal right up after i drained initiative and thencthey spam dat aoe bursts damage which most of it i can dodge but they wont stop laying down the damage until im dead, Basic Example, i teleport in behind for my burst which does nearly nothing, then they turn around and im like 0-0 sry i hit you, then they stomp me, I use all my evades and stealth skills,then like a kitten run around with my autoattack.

I main thief, and have never played ele but, i feel bad for all the eles out there that didnt want warhorn, and that was alot of them.

Necros and guards really feel like an uphill battle now. Eles and mesmers are a real toss up depending on the relative skill levels. I’m having decent success with S/D DA/CS/T right now. I wouldn’t recommend either defensive trait line right now as the marginal defensive gains don’t compare with the DPS lost. The longer a fight draws out, the more at a disadvantage you’ll be.

I don’t think we need any more health or damage, just an un-nerfing to our defensive lines.

Your Defidently right about all that, glasscannon should still get a small buff, becuase it is way to hard to fight with 11,645 health Mabye bringing it back to around 14,000 like before the patch would be ok.

Why should most thieves be forced to pick off the weak builds, and stay away from anyone who knows what the kitten they are doing, I experimented with alot of builds combos and ways to trick the enemy. Thief feels weak to me unless i go glasscannon, even then its not a good tradeoff becuase no matter how much skill and focusing you put into it the enemy can easily kill you becuase of the low health. Also switching it around, if i dont go glasscannon the enemy with the slightest bt of toughness or extra vitality just takes the dmg like nearly nothing and then uses aoe condi or something. Im gonna get alot of hate for this but, mesmers,necros,gaurdians are my biggest counter right now, when i come across someone playing either of these, the first thing i do is fake them out and make them waste dodges and skills, and as soon as i think ive got them they pull more evades and blocks out of thier kitten, I think we need buffs condi clear and stealth skills, and we need either a little more vitality or A damage boost, and i dont mean a 80% boost just like flat out 10%, and im not blowing anything out of proportion, ive tried everything and these days after the patch the average thief has a hard enough time fighting 1v1 but 2v1 means death no matter what to me.

I didn’t know where to post something like this, but every time i go to the gw2 forum,at least once or twice Avg warns me of a threat so i can delete it, It kind of worry’s me, are there malicious hackers in the forum?

Don’t get me wrong, i think this shiro legend is awesome probably my favortie so far, but does this mean they will start releasing elite specs again, or will we have another long fuggin break.

Its been a month since the last elite spec, but it feels like it was this long….

Im so sick of always going glasscannon, just ot do half the dmg of all the other classes, at first i thought this patch was great then i realized how bad it truly was for thieves. Anet always saying they want build variety, the only build i see anyone do these days has trickery, deadly arts, and critical strikes. You have forced thieves into a corner anet, and why? because some whiny mesmer players said we were too op, well guess what we never were, now you have given mesmers a huge dmg and condi advantage, this includes most other classes except necro which i feel bad for. Do you have morons doing the balance for the game?
