I do constantly swap trait lines. just for fun and so that i don’t neglect some cool traits^^
The only traitline I’m constantly using is curses. In raids i go either
curses/deathmagic/reaper (best für dmg in optimal situations)
curses/bloodmagic/reaper (if there are no ads that can die like on VG)
curses/bloodmagic/deathmagic (if the port or sustain is needed like sloth and mat)
In open world pve I’m getting a bit annoyed by the huge ramp up time of the condis und jagged horrors. so i play mostly spite(with terror)/soulreaping(dhuumfire)/reaper and burn everything down in a reasonable time. It’s not optimal for enemies with a big health bar but much more convenient for trash since dhuumfire stacks really quick together with reapers onslaught or quickness (they don’t stack btw)
I tested the trait a bit a while ago.
1. I’m pretty sure that the 10s timer is independent on every minion and starts when a conditions is transfered.
2. Contrary to the description, the minions pull conditions from allies around them – not only from the necro!
First: Lingering curse does NOT count towards the condition cap because it increases the base duration
I’m using this viper/sinister build for raids and without the food for normal PvE and it works really well and wasn’t hard to get (except the amulet)

with food the important conditions (bleed, poison, chill) are a the cap, so any more condition duration on the equip would be wasted
When I play on 3D mode the exact same thing happens. Setting “Shaders” to Medium removes the black ground. I’ve seen this problem a while ago, so i think that’s a common thing and they won’t fix it soon.
To avoid the forced 3D: try to turn off 3D in your driver settings befor launching GW2. Sometimes it bugs on my driver when I use 3D and I have to enable/disable it again
I use the super cheap infiltration runes for a bit stronger gravedigger spam – and loosing aggro when getting downed is a nice little thing
Just to make sure.. was this fix about the returned fog on the map or about the missing reward from completing the map? because my friends and I still don’t have the map completion rewards
When i try to slot in the reaper traitline in the pvp lobby my client gets an instant dc. Anyone else too?
Hitting someone with an unblockable attack and proccing a blockable effect in the process is most likely what you’re experiencing.
That’s exactly what happens. Tested it with a friends guard and sigil of fire. The mark applies the normal damage and conditions, only the dmg from the sigil proc gets blocked.
If you are talking about Rite of the Great Dwarf,
1. It has a casttine of 1 1/4 seconds
2. You are forgetting that revenant has no cooldown on utility skills. The stability on other classes is only there to prevent the skill from going on full cooldown
Well of Power is a stunbreak, and like every other stunbreak, goes on full cooldown when it is interrupted and of course doesn’t cast the well. Most stunbreaks are instant cast so this is no problem for them.
But Well of Power has 1/4s casttime. So the stability is there to prevent you from beeing interrupted and wasting the skill completely.
I have one too from BW2 i think. I think i got it on my main character because my beta character finished an event (or at least something that gives a chest above the minimap) and i didn’t open it. After switching to my main it was still above the minimap.
It happened on accident and i thought it would be erased after BW2.
Yeah this bug is horrible..
But you can still finish him as a party of 2 by interrupting his shout that lets the room cave in. Did it with a friend yesterday and it felt like a huge achievement^^
Seeing the druid throwing around sooo much healing and having officially heard that this heal and finishers will be needed in raids to survive really worries me.
It’s again the old complain about healing in shroud. It’s not only that we don’t get the extra survivabilty that is needed, we also hinder our supporters because they waste their heal on us that someone else could get.
Also when i as a necro get low health i use every skill that heals a bit and go into shroud to stay alive – at the timing the heal from an ally would arrive. Every class can be helped at any time to replenish their health pool. Except for necro.
In addition life force is so often referred as a second life bar – a life bar where noone can help you to fill it.
Please let us heal in shroud. Make it just half the healing oder even less. But give us at least something to benefit from teamplay. It’s often claimed GuildWars2 is so much about working together as a team. Necro shroud as it is now works perfectly against that philosophy.
Blasting a water field with bone minions and flesh wurm doesn’t show the area healing icon. But shows the water splash animation and heals as intended.
Blast finisher from these minions on other combo fields show the icon and the text normaly.
I’m not saying that its bad. In fact i like it a lot and as you say it really wrecks. I just think the behaviour is sometimes strange when the enemy moves away after the first hit. Thats not a matter of counterplay, thats bugged/weird movement
Currently the boons are corrupted only on the last hit. For me it often fails because enemies dodge the last hit or move a few steps aside after the first hit (Death’s Charge stops moving to the target as soon as the first hit. Don’t know if this is a bug or intended)
It would be much better if the boon corrupt would trigger on the first connect.
I like the new “rise!” even without playing a mm. i often use it when engaging group fights or when someone summons minons. gives me more time to load up my shroud if it’s empty or beeing very tanky when it’s full and i use shroud with valkyrie stats.

I’m using transfusion for a while now but not life from death because vampiric presence gives both them and me more survivability. I’m also playing with spite and soul reaping and berzerker gear (healing from transfusion is still good) and use transfusion often to teleport downed ones out of the aoe the died in, or to keep enemies from laying new aoe at them
Yes reaper’s shroud. I know until now only these 2 options heal through shroud. But most of our combo fields are dark fields (even greatsword 4), so i hoped with the whirl finisher on reaper’s shroud 4 they would allow us to heal with other siphons (leeching bolts, sigil of blood…)
If I remember correctly, in the beta, reaper didn’t get healed by leeching bolts.
Did anyone else notice this and knows if life leech from runes/sigils work?
Just tried it out too, both damage and boon remove are beeing blocked.. Didn’t really notice it before, so i guess its a bug

got mine just now from a dry top event chest after about 100 events in sw and dt. sadly the item is not in my inventory because my inventory was already full when i opened the chest( i would have loved to keep it as a trophy
