Does the Empowered Illusions trait stack with Phantasmal Strength?

Trying to decide if 10/20/0/25/15 or 0/30/0/25/15 is more damage for fractals

Oh I forgot to add that for this build I had to level 4 professions. Since all Celestial gear is Bind on Make, and untradable.

Feel free to suggest input too

First off this is not a pure DPS build. It’s about staying alive and it utilizes the new healing signet

Traits are
10/30/30

Dom: Signet Mastery
Duel: Phantasmal Fury, Blade Training, Duelist’s Discipline
Chaos: Illusionary Defense, Bountiful Interruption, Prismatic Understanding

Utility: Signet of The Ether, Decoy, Blink, Null Field, Mass Invisibility

Armor: All Celestial with Divinity Runes.
Trinkets: All Celestial
Weapons: All Celestial. I run with Sword/Pistol Sword/ Focus (Bloodlust on Sword, Battle on each offhands.

Ok before someone says this sounds lame. It’s actually really fun. This might have been done before, but in big packs, and even smaller packs I can get to 23-25 stacks of might with Focus 4, and Pistol 5(Along with the Sigils of Battle)

Also, I chose the Celestial set up for a great mix of survivability, and good damage. I know most think Celestial is bad, but I am loving this gear set up. I rarely go down so far.

The sword is probably my most loved Mesmer weapon with its diverse usage of being a damaging yet defensive weapon. Also being able to Teleport with 3 is great for going back into combat after stealthing to heal in this build.

This build pretty much uses all the stats Celestial offers. Where it may not be the best damage build, it works for me. Wondering input and thoughts. (Please don’t be too harsh on me)

Pros: Great damage and survivability
Cons: Melee heavy with little range abilities.

Hope some people find this build interesting I guess.

I see no parade, but ok. Also that’s still not 1v1. That’s running around for 30 mins to maybe fight someone that isn’t even PvP ready. Then either kill them way too easy, or be ambushed by 2-3 other people. Resulting in endless frustration.

Another idea for this would be queuing for ranged or melee arena matches. Say where you can only use ranged attacks. There would be traps to avoid and jump over. Picture Pendulums and Fire.

Then melee only matches. Where you have to dodge an angry crowd and have to avoid things being thrown at you such as knives, and explosives.

I am getting really tired of all the Zerging in WvW and am craving something along the lines of The Queen’s Gauntlet. The gauntlet was the best content to me I’ve done in this game. And since it’s gone, there is no real fun way to 1v1 people.

My suggestion is to make a queue system where you can literally 1v1 people in various gladiator type of arenas.

This would bring forth leader boards of longest matches, most damage dealt, Shortest matches, titles, gladiator armor and weapon skins, many other achievements.

I doubt Anet would do this due to people complaining. But I want a real PvP experience, not just who has the biggest zerg. What’s better than just 1v1ing someone and seeing who is better on your own terms? It could even be like the Queen’s Gauntlet was where you can watch people duke it out. (there would have to be a strict time limit then) or people would grief.

You could have instanced arenas where people fight and can use obstacles to their advantage or pick power ups for a short while. Making the matches able to change drastically. Making it not just about the best builds, but the best player awareness and skill.

I am literally to the point where I want something challenging and not just zerg like. (I expect to get somewhat flamed from this post)

Making this thread for anyone wanting to make extra suggestions on what could come up with for this topic.

Been over 24 hours, what is the average wait time? I’m really annoyed as to why I was banned. I literally just in the middle of a boss fight got booted, and was “Terminated”.

Both scepters with Sigil of Earth, and offhands with corruption.

I run with Scepter/ Pistol Scepter/torch because I like scepter so much and I can keep Confusion up forever :|

I focus on bleeds and confusion.

For your new phantasm build is any DPS lost from dropping GS and 1H training, along with the bleeds? Or is this build just all about maxing burst now?

There is one day left to do this and I’m asking for help from any mesmer that has done it.

Currently I am getting 5-6 on her but I’m dying from flat out damage.

I’m running rabid gear and using Sw/Tr Sc/Ps

Ok thanks; I guess my main thing now is just if Runes of Perplexity are the best and if Carrion armor is as well.

Forgot I have Feedback, and Null Field for Confusion combos, and Signet of Domination, as well as Time Warp. Would like input on best DPS.

Been using Winter’s condition build with full Carrion armor and trinkets. I’m currently using 2 sigils of battle and 2 sigils of corruption.

Also been using Runes of Perplexity. Been able to get 25 stacks of confusion pretty fast when weapon switching from sc/ps to sw/tr

I mean runes of battle are great for this build; but wondering if I should change runes or sigils.

This is great content, well thought out, and quite challenging.

I got liadri in about 50 tries. Yes some things can be a bit tweaked, but you all are going too far over a game.

Stop acting like children and use the means necessary to complete content.

This is a great game, yet some just want things handed to them.

Which stats should you go for if Fractal level 11+

I’ve been using Skoteinos’s build set up, but wondering if the focus could be swapped out for the pistol, or would this screw up and do less damage output.

I would end up getting sword bonus trait and pistol then, so I’d lose fury for illusions.

Any thoughts on trying pistol, or should I stay with focus?

Reading these comments about how this is too hard; or not serious is pretty funny.

This is the most fun I’ve had in ages playing this game since launch. This is just another example of how not everyone will appreciate the small things.

After completing this with my friend(We 2 manned it all on normal) This is one of the most creative things I’ve ever seen placed in an MMO; and it is in our Asuran Town which we love. Would love to see this as permanent and completed.

Whoever made this is doing the game a great service.

I’ve had so much fun with this event so far! Even though the clock tower was more superior and fun to me; the Wintersday puzzle was amazing as well! The PvP Snowball fights were really fun and I enjoyed being a Scout. I love the air ship dungeon too xD Smash smash buildings ^-^!!~~~

I also really love the in game items. I will forever love my lil Quaggin:3:3:3:3:3!!!

Loved the geyser puzzle with the floating rocks. We really liked how it went on further even after the chest. You’ve done a great job with the exploration content in this game.

Really loved exploring this zone with a friend and finding the hidden chests, and numerous puzzles in the land. The final even was a little long to us, but we had a blast.
Looking forward to more updates
