Okay so here’s what I did doesn’t involve changing my command line for Guild Wars 2. It seems that perhaps Qwest/Centurylink has had DNS issues before. I’ve had issues about two years ago with this and should have tried this first.
I set my DNS servers to use Google’s DNS’.
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4Guild Wars 2 comes on line just fine the way it always had before. If you are not sure how to set your DNS choices, I’m sure you can Google it.

this worked well for me and isn’t a bad idea to keep as your DNS settings due to how massive googles infrastructure is
I would just like to thank Anet and all the wonderful people involved with this game. i have been in this community since i was young and its helped shape me.

Im from SoR we are fighting tooth and nail to move up tiers.
I feel your pain but I don’t think either of these ideas are good
Transfers are what got us into this mess in the first place.To recommend it now would probably cause imbalance in the mid tiers and force them to relive our pain.
what most people here are forgetting great players have no need to exclude anyone only bad leaders and bad groups do so.
great players teach and mentor others.
I have mained a necro since the beginning.And yes people do put us down alot but if you know the necro and play it well you usually out survive and do the same dps as other classes.
our group support isn’t the average type thus people don’t understand how to take advantage of us that is not our fault though ;-D
I think Brazil had his expectations high for them to redo the fractals and that just didn’t happen. it may happen in the future.
What they did do is make the bottom ends more casual friendly and the top ends a bit more difficult leaving a decent difficulty in the mid ground for mid tier players.
I am enjoying myself with them and do them daily more then i used to as im a necro.
as said earlier i think more refining will need to be done but they made a big step so far.
If you guys would get together and work to do the math together in a standardized way you could remove the animosity going around.
this drama as it were shouldn’t even exist from either point of view.The big issues here are community disrespect and mistreatment of other players.
so go on keep flinging mud at each other and get nothing done or work together and find the real way to allow everyone to play the game for fun.
I find that in my opinion the ability to skip to save time but it is just that, it saves time nothing else and frankly this is why folks got bored of the dungeons.
since people where kicking classes out of their party they didn’t get to learn how that class meshes with them and the circle continues.
live a little play with other classes learn and have fun.
or just play the “meta” and continue to be bored.
most of all at least respect others enough to tell them why they were kicked from a party that in the LFG didn’t specify they did not want a specific class. The more disrespect that flies over the lines the worse our community gets.
I do not like how either side of the Spoj/Nemisis debates talk to each other, it just makes each side dig in deeper and keep going with hate that isn’t needed rather then constructive feedback the devs need to fix these types of issues.

Oh I know. I openly admited that I absolutely do not like Nemesis. How could I have been more direct? Even stating that I think finding like minded players and playing for fun should be the ultimate goal.
Now if you could please tell me where I tried to push or force or even manipulate the TC into “my playstyle”? I was giving him advice as to how to improve his understanding of the game in general. Which summed up could probably be:“Don’t be a sheeple and follow anyone blindly just because they are loud. (this includes myself by the way)”
did i say any specific names? and the word enticing just by saying a class is bad when in reality it isn’t is enticing to remove that class from groups.
the true fact of the matter is while classes have things they are not optimized for but are viable for yet they are being discriminated by because of some folks word is a bad sign.
They may not be publicly saying these things but the way they posture it is equal.

if you cant use the older ones then you will have to look into a replacment for the 560 it is mostdef to blame for the issues
to reiterate you have to do a reformat to clear out all of the drivers past 314 so its not worth the time.
in the nvidia control set everything to prefer maximum performance for power this should help the situation
it is a shame nvidia never fixed the issues with this card
aswell the character model limit and model quality for other players is a good thing to change
Behellagh.1468 can you ad that to your suggestions in the future please its a huge benefit in pve since other players are not important
if your using any driver higher than 285.79 the 560 is unstable usually related to desktop/firefox
has never been fixed and never will be issues start in the 314.22 drivers you may need to do a reformat if reverting does not help(ie you must have a clean install of the driver)
ok theres a few things yall are saying that just don’t ring true
1. Gem to Gold conversion is trading gems one player has for gold other players have.
2.if you cant afford to wp then your doing something wrong dont vender to npcs.
3. MMO is a long term thing you play for months to years they base all of the content around atleast 6-8months of gameplay.
now diminishing returns certainly isnt hitting any of you it only hits if your acting like a farming bot so chat with folks play with others dont go it alone and stop farming the same mob for 8hours a day 7 days a week.
glad i could help if you have any friends with one of the new generation of tn or ips panels those sometimes have strobe backlight and this could help your situation.
or it could also cause a seizure depending.
they are not cheap either

I believe this is a pretty in-depth look at the Necro and i find the points made to be valid.
I think some slight work in certain areas where we are weak could fix the issues however i do think because of our deathshroud they have to be careful how they go about fixing it.
I think Anet has to look at the aggregate numbers and data they have and also look into the situations where a necro hits a hardwall that does not exsist for other classes and find the solution, i have faith there is a solution but as to what it is i do not know.
was worth a try AMD came up with an architecture that is best suited for the future sadly game engines are not ready for it just yet.
that and Intel isn’t being competitive because in reality they don’t have a 1 to 1 competitor anymore
i would say overclock but you would need good cooling and luck.
could be i have not seen the mac client of obs though in the settings tab of obs you should still have the ability to change the resolution and being a mac you probably of something of large resolution or some such
also forgot ot ask are you playing windowed or full screen?
hmm you may be very sensitive to it but all LED have a slight bit of ghosting due to how they work they don’t flash the backlight and thus the pixels just change from frame to frame instead of going frame black frame if your moniters response time is higher then 8ms it gets worse.
i would try using vsync it may help.

and yes some game engines show it worse then others so it would be no surprise you notice it only in gw2 sadly i cant tell forsure because i cant see your screen but thats what i would bet it was

its not on twitch its litteraly by rightclicking the video in obs when its either going or your in the preview stream mode
also in the settings you may need to change the resolution manually to your screen res it assumes 1920*1080 is the default ie 16:9 res but if your like me and have a more rare screen res such as 1440*900 or 16:10 it will cutoff bits
nvidia driver issues is my thought? dont get the 350 driver though its bad id go back to one of the 340 ones
friend of mine recently had it kill his brand new 970 so nvidias bad luck is back
you could try setting gw2 affinity in task manager to use only cores 0 2 4 so that its not using the combined FPU
i am doubting this issue is graphics card related if graphics settings change nothing its a cpu bottleneck
goto preview stream then rightclick the video there are some settings in that area.
using a program like that is like putting a band aid on a serious wound don’t do it
with that size of a screen res you will have to downscale and that gets blurry fast so i would recommend steering clear of the 5k model
your screen is probably the cause if i had to make a guess.
what type of screen is it?
if you find you encounter more issues the 285 drivers are even more stable then the 295+
aswell if oyu continue to have issues(i ahve a 560 aswell) you may have to reformat the drivers past 314.22 edit the registry in a way that breaks the 560 no fix for this for over 2 years you may have to reformat and reinstall due to that driver issue.
ok so for world bosses id say turn character model limit down to medium also turn reflections to terrain and sky only
your issue will mots likely be because of the models and the reflections due to memory buffer constraints would be my guess
oh and for wvw swap the model limit with the model quality

the grove is a bit un-optimized by my experience so keep that in mind

if your in the united states go to ibuypower.com buy the best one you can afford and you will be fine yes you spend more for the performance then building it yourself but lots of people don’t feel they can build their own machines

i think some people forget that whilst there is a huge population in china there is only a portion of that population living above the poverty line.
and the fact that they have other games that are more tailored to their liking then gw.
and above all things forgotten is the fact that khongzong is doing the development of the china version of the game little input is allowed from arena net due to china law.
could be something wrong with the motherboard as well hard to say though.
if it comes down to saving for a couple weeks more the difference is going to be worth it to get the newer card.
and as said about the cooler unless you plan on overclocking yours is a bit overkill,but aftermarket cooling is still the best choice Intels dinky little heatsinks are failure points.
oh and do yourself a favor buy a full copy of windows 7 so you can use it on builds in the future.
Lets be honest you guys have not seen some of the worst greed in gaming yet go over to star trek online they put out overly powerful items in rng boxes with 0.005% drop chance wait till it meets their sales figures and then nerf it so far into the ground problem is the average price of those items is around 1500$.
so i like to point out that the rng box stuff in this game is for looks unlike in STO be glad your not being milked like that if you don’t like rngs or how the skins are done well just don’t buy them.
no one will force you to buy what you don’t like nor will they threaten you that the game will be taken from you if you don’t

a little greed is good Anet is in the right to be slightly greedy its a game you like or you wouldn’t be here they worked hard both they and ncsoft have to make money or their would be no game im sure if they thought this store wouldn’t bring enough money to keep it going they would swap to other means such as popping an expansion yearly etc.
of all of the ways to make money the way Guild Wars has done it both in the past and present are my favorite.
other games in this category have turned to pay to win(Star Trek Online) or have a monthly fee that frankly may be fair but is out of my budget range.(Eve Online)
they may be great games but with a tight budget and a more sophisticated taste this is a great median.
