Ticket #568540 – Purchased wrong items
I understand that there is a backup of these requests, but I just wanted to notify you that my ticket has now been open for 11 days. Hoping to have it resolved soon.
Also, I have not received a message from support since the 28th of April.
Cheers,
Kelthos
It’s time [PD] steps up their smack talking to us in game PM’s and accepts our GvG challenge. Easy to be forum warriors but [vH] prefers to fight on the field. And don’t even reply back with ‘We are not a GvG guild’, that’s the most pathetic line on GW2. It’s called GUILD wars for a reason.
Wow, and here I was thinking y’all were professional.
1) Blaming the enemy for taking advantage of you and your group for being out of position makes you look like a fool. What did you expect of them, to leave you alone?
2) There is no official GvG in Guild Wars 2. The only thing that the title “Guild Wars” has anything to do with is the lore that goes with the name. It has nothing to do anything in game. Stop vomiting your uninformed garbage around.
3) Instead of saying “We’re not a GvG guild”, the person could have stated “We’re not a guild that dedicates our time to running around in circles with an enemy guild, hoping to kill a couple people before they kill ours”.
I see people easily farm this boss all day, but meanwhile I had the hardest time beating him on my necromancer (because we don’t have invincibility skills)…. ughhh…..
Yes, there clearly is a balance issue here. For some classes this boss is just way too easy to farm, while for others he is way too difficult in comparison.
Riiiight. You have fear and blinds to stop his OHKO. Death Shroud can also be used to mitigate an OHKO.
Necroes have no problem farming Deadeye either with Zerker gear dagger/dagger, Spectral Grasp and either Wells or Minions. With minions you come out even better than warriors and guardians in farming efficiency since you don’t have to wait for cooldowns.
Just because you fail to see alternative builds doesn’t mean there’s a class balance issue.
You’re so horribly misinformed/ignorant of the Necromancer. For starters, the shot goes through our Death Shroud and kills us, even if it’s at full – @Anet, thanks for the unnecessary nerf.
I personally took this guy out in 2 tries on CondiMancer, with no gambits. The first thing I noticed on my first attempt was my Flesh Golem taking aggro and dying instantly pls tell me all about how minions are supposed to help us.
Fearing him is completely counter productive, I shouldn’t have to explain why.
Our DPS would be considerably lower if we take utilities to help us survive, rather than damage utilities. Taking Grasp is a waste because our DPS wouldn’t be fast enough anyway, we can Dark Path, once and that’s assuming we still have LF to DS. Going full zerk would kitten our already horrible survivability against Deadeye with such a build.
Just because you’re probably kitten because you died to an overpowered build in sPvP doesn’t mean we’re not totally kitten in other areas of the game due to design flaws .
Not sure why anyone is surprised. Team Paradigm players seem to have some sense of entitlement and have people wrapped around their little finger cough Necro changes, Phantaram cough.
Pretty disgraceful that they changed the rules for 1 match, players went into the tournament expecting bo3, not bo5 and it says so in the rules.
Guys keep in mind that this bug only seems to be happening against enemies when there is more than 1 type of enemy getting hit by Putrid Mark.
By type I mean not of the same species, for example: Moa and Ettin. Skelk and Boar. Troll and Hologram.
I’m not sure, I haven’t been able to test it in World Vs. World, but I would imagine that players would all be of the same “type” of enemy, regardless of the server.
It sounds like it is pulling conditions from enemies of the target rather than allies of the source of the mark. I will take a look at this tomorrow. Is this new?
Jon
Thanks a ton for looking into this, Jon and super sorry that I haven’t uploaded the videos, guys. I do have a few, but again.. not very good. Real life is hectic at the moment so I haven’t had time to make them better.
Again, I can confirm that neither Greater Marks nor Staff Mastery have an affect on this issue. I do have videos of all of my tests and on two different types. However, I do have a better video that I will post.
I’m sorry that it’s not great quality, I’m not used to recording and for some reason it was coming up as corrupt in Movie Maker so I couldn’t edit it. I will narrate what I did in the video though:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGFqtV08sXU
Gathered up the Moa and Ettin. Cast Mark of Blood (3 Bleeds), then cast Chillblains (Poison, Chill) – targeted both to show that they have the appropriate conditions -, then cast Putrid Mark (Cause Weakness).
So, what both targets should have after the Putrid Mark is: 3 Bleeds, Poison, Chill and Weakness – Note, Moa has 4 Bleeds due to the crit.
However, the Ettin lost his Bleeds stacks and the Moa didn’t gain them. The Bleeds on the Ettin disappeared.
The Moa also lost it’s Poison.
In my other videos where I just tested Mark of Blood and Putrid Mark, the Bleeds would transfer from one enemy to the other.
I hope this helps.
^ Wow.
Arena.Net/NCsoft/Whoever runs the gem store, that is disgusting. I’m very glad that I haven’t wasted any of my money on your scams.
I stopped my normal coffer farm to check on the disaster zone and find this. I just got 1 out of 3 of the tickets I want, after I don’t know how many Coffers – I have however collected well over 6000 Zhaitaffy in total (selling Jorbreakers to buy coffers). Close to 3000 Normal Coffers I’d bet…
I have no problems supporting a company, buying items from the gem store – I have bought Krytan Armour and the cool Bow. But, like I have said in a different post (or was it in this one..), when I spend money on something I expect to receive what I paid for.
I will post a recording off it in about an hour. I will include a couple examples of:
1) Both Greater Marks and Staff Mastery
2) With Greater Marks, w/o Staff Mastery
3) With Staff Mastery, w/o Greater Marks
4) With none of the above traits.
Edit: Alright, I did test all of the above Trait combos and did get them on video, but I feel that the videos aren’t really good enough/could show it a bit better.
I can confirm that Greater Marks and Staff Mastery are not causing this issue.* The issue is quite bizarre though in that instead of the Bleeds disappearing, the Bleeds are just transferring from one enemy to the other.##
Example that I just did: Cast Mark of Blood, Chillblains and then Putrid Mark on a Skelk and an Ettin. The Bleeds completely disappeared off of the Skelk, the Ettin’s Bleeds did not go up.
The issue is that during my videos I only used Mark of Blood and Putrid Mark. Every single time, it would transfer the Bleeds from one to the other. Will continue to work on this tomorrow.
I will post a video of them all tomorrow.. tis getting late in Australia.
*I hope
(edited by Kelthos Doombringer.9032)
Example 1: makes sense if both had 3 bleeds then after Putrid Mark the Skelk had none and the Ettin 6 bleeds. Was that the case, since I’d assume Putrid Mark would have to designate at least one mob struck as the primary target?
From the wiki:
—-
Notes
- This mark will last for up to 30 seconds if it is not triggered.
- Always transfers conditions from the caster when triggered (as long as it is not evaded or blocked), whether or not the caster is inside the mark’s radius. Other allies have to be within the radius to have their conditions removed.
- For each condition removed from allies, including the caster, the mark applies the condition, including its duration, onto one enemy within the mark’s radius. It does not transfer all conditions to all enemies in its radius.
- Triggers combo fields twice.
—-Have you tried using MoB on 2 type differing mobs than just putrid marking one to see what happens?
I can.. but not sure why I would need to, I will edit this post when I do.
Commenting on your post for example 1) I don’t see how it makes sense.
I did not have any Bleeds on me at the time. In fact, I wasn’t even being attacked, I engaged the Ettin by auto attacking and dragging the Skelk to the Ettin and they then decided to attack each other. There was nothing for me to transfer from myself.. and I am alone in all examples.
Just confirmed this.
Location: Mount Maelstrom, Magmatic Waypoint.
Engaged Earth Elemental and started Hologram Projector. Started encounter, opening with Mark of Blood – 3 Bleeds. Followed with Chillblains and then Putrid Mark.
As soon as Putrid Mark landed, all enemies lost their 3 Bleeds. However, Weakness, Chill and Poison all stayed on the all targets.
EDIT
I am now reproducing this on every test.
For at least myself, whenever I cast Putrid Mark on two monsters that are of a different type, the Putrid Mark does weird things with the Bleeds.
All examples have been tested
Example 1 – Skelk and Ettin: Cast Mark of Blood on both then Putrid Mark on both. Skelk loses all Bleeds, Ettin somehow gains 3 Bleeds.
Example 2 – Moa and Ettin: Cast Mark of Blood on both then Putrid Mark on both. Both Moa and Ettin loses all 3 Bleeds.
(edited by Kelthos Doombringer.9032)
I’m not sure if other Necros are experiencing this bug, but I am having a bizarre issue with my Putrid Mark ability.
Whilst I was farming the Holograms in Mount Maelstrom, for some reason my Bleeds were just disappearing from mobs, not just falling off/running out.. just getting off all of the mobs I was attacking.
After quite a few holos, I started to notice that it was only happening after I cast Putrid Mark, like it was transferring the Bleeds off of my targets. It only ever seems to happen if more than 1 type of enemy gets hit by it.
For example, I have noticed it quite a few times when I hit the Holos and a Boar with the same Putrid Mark. All of the Holos that had Bleeds were completely cleansed of them.
Anyone have any info on this? Or am I going crazy..
After a few hours of farming, I can say pretty confidently that the drop rate FEELS like it has been reduced. The amount of coffers that i got compared to last night definitely support that feeling.
The reason the player base is frustrated is because of the expectations that Arena.Net gave us.
3.) RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG
Guild Wars 2 was raised onto a pedestal that promoted “No grinding”. Yet.. here hundreds of us are. Grinding for hours to get a ticket.
Nope, I don’t want things handed to me, I don’t think any of us do. A lot of people know how MMOs work, you have to dedicate some time to get to the things you want, these skins are no exception.
But don’t lie to your player base, Arena.Net, and tell us that your game won’t have a grind.
And If we wanted to have things handed to us, we’d go to the gem store and just buy the skin tickets! Oh.. wait.
Just to add to the list of unhappy customers, I too have opened at least 1200 Coffers now. I have been grinding them for as long as I can at any one time, but I have yet to acquire a single ticket.
I am hoping to get at least 3 before the end of Dragon Bash, I don’t know that I will be able to.
As hundreds of other people have said, it is pretty disgusting how cheap you’re being, Arena.Net. Why do you add skins into the game that only a fraction of the player base can get to?
You say “Play the game how you want to” and “There is no grind” yet.. we’re forced to grind the Holograms to get the amazing skins your artists have provided us.
Either that, or gamble our real life money away – this is just.. flat out wrong, in my opinion and I will always refuse to pay for a RNG chest.
I pay Blizzard monthly to see all of their content, and they also provide their own store items that are completely optional, just like Arena.Net’s.
But the difference between WoW’s store and GW2’s store is that if we pay for something, more often than not we don’t receive the item that we are paying for.
Yeah, I get that you’ve so kindly stated that there is only a “Higher Chance” at obtaining the tickets, but it’s obvious that the people buying the Rich Coffers are wanting the ticket.
But this doesn’t even make sense! People want the skin, why the hell put it in a RNG chest?? Arena.Net, why are you not giving your customers the item they are paying for??
Scythe
We have it, it’s called a staff. It is physically impossible for a scythe to work as a martial weapon, and more importantly it’s visually impossible, you couldn’t possibly animate a character using a scythe and not have it look completely ridiculous. The only exception is b-list anime and that’s because they use a sickening amount of cross cuts.
What? Guild Wars 1’s Dervish uses a Scythe for almost all of their attacks and it looked freaking awesome.

I’m confused, how will GW2 have Raids without a trinity? not saying i want a trinity but wont they just be larger dungeons with bigger hit points and more players all zerging the crap out of stuff, as everyones just DPS anyway, sounds like WvW for PvE..
Before raids this game needs mechanics overhauls..
You don’t need the Trinity for a group to have synergy.
There are hundreds of viable builds in this game, some I’d wager that we’ve haven’t found.
However, I would be pretty disappointed if they did the whole “we have to cater to how people want to play the game” and let these raids be completed by a raid (?) full of GC Warriors. It’s great that they want to try and achieve that, but in reality they haven’t really done that to date and it just wouldn’t work in a raid, imo.
I think it would be great if they did raiding in like the GW1 UW, where you need different (but not specific) types of builds varying across multiple professions. Add decent boss mechanics that require more than just dodge roll out of this, attack when you can.
I wouldn’t even have a problem if people found ways to speed run raids and farm them for cool skins. Why? Because that’s Guild Wars. It’s how it was in Guild Wars 1 and it was great. It separates the dedicated players (who have full Awesome-o skin) from the casual whom will still be able to run it, but don’t have many pieces.
Players that dedicate more of their time need to have something to do. There will always be those players that are hardcore and need that carrot, it’s never going to go away. I really hope these raids can be a carrot for some people for at least some amount of time.
I’d prefer to see a system that is done properly and as bug free as it possibly can be before going live.
I’d bet a large amount of gold that you or someone would have made a very similar post if they had not delayed and the new match up system was bugged.
Instead of constantly whining about something that they have obviously started to fix, how about you show a bit of patience? It’s not like it’s not coming, Arena.Net aren’t psychic, they can’t predict when issues will arise.
It’s a week. Not a month or a year. Show your true strength as a server and beat Elona and Jade until they do change it.
Good to hear, Jon. Thank you.
In regards to Spiteful Talisman thing.. I’m glad to know that you’re going to look into a Necromancer bug (and I’m not trying to be rude or disrespectful, I love what you guys have done and enjoy the heck out of GW2), but there are so many issues with the Necromancer. It would be even better to hear that you’re looking into more than just one specific bug out of the many Necromancer bugs/balancing issues.. because to be quite frank, we’ve been left out in the rain for a long time with no real headway on anything it seems…
It was the Engineer skill :P
I will add though, now that I have read back through all the replies..
/large grin @ all the players that said it was intended/trolled me.
Haha, I remember when I made this post..
Yes, I was mad ):
/wave @ Bakuon!
OT: Whist I personally haven’t been to the.. “new” EB JP (not that it’s really new) and that my complaint actually got addressed (never expected it), I will add that additional changes probably should be made to address what is essentially spawn camping.
I do understand that WvW isn’t supposed to be balanced around “fair” but as far as I know, there is currently no point even entering the* “EB JP” because of the griefers that enjoy spending hours preventing players from even starting the JP (to each their own).
-* Anet! Pls adjust your language filter!
(edited by Kelthos Doombringer.9032)
I personally am quite pleased that this change is coming for a couple of reasons:
1) I am happy for servers like Blacktide, Fissure of Woe and Vabbi that don’t have to sit in the same match up for months on end because of the current system. Yeah, FoE and Vabbi will still probably be destroyed regardless of the match up due to lack of population, but at least Blacktide will now get to experience something new.
2) I don’t have to be stuck fighting the same bland servers, winning every week purely because we have people that live on the other side of the planet. I don’t really care if I win or lose (which is something that you people are too fixated on), I care about having fun, having variety when I do the thing I love most in this game.
Bring on the structured RNG (There is still order to the match ups, cough, Aneu. Maybe you should read the post before spouting off your negative-ness).
It’s better than being stuck fighting the same servers for 3 months. Heaven forbid we have to lose a match up every once in a while. “OH GOD, WE LOST, BETTER BANDWAGON TO THE NEXT DOOMED SERVER”.

Sorry, but I like the feeling that my character actually gets stronger as I level and obtain gear, not remain the same for 80 levels.
Do you ever go out into the open world to do mini dungeons. To do meta events and dynamic events besides those timed ones. Not for map completion. Not one of the over farmed/boring dragon fights. Just random dynamic events. Go out exploring and finding random people leveling and maybe helping them with the events.
I do. I see the amount of effort Anet spent on the open world and the leveling experience. What I don’t see is other players out there. Some say it isn’t rewarding enough. Others say it is too boring. They’re working on the rewarding part with bonus chest. But what if players were actually challenged in the open world. Would they find the fights as boring?
I do very little of any PvE because I personally find it boring and monotonous. And it isn’t rewarding, not at the avatar level – maybe at the.. emotional level of "yay I helped a random level 10, but that’s not me.
Yes, the fights would be as boring. I personally don’t see the excitement of having to spend a minute killing that level 20 Centaur when I’m a level 80 with full exotics. Increasing the time it takes to kill a level 20 Centaur does not = not as boring. I just want the stupid thing to die so I can move on.
We’re not being rewarded in any way by having to spend the extra time to kill things/do events/help people in lower zones, so there is no incentive to go back into the world anyway. Is this a good thing? Nope. Do I care/would I go back into the world if there was an incentive? Nope. Why? Cause it’s still boring and monotonous.
I’ve done the grind to level 80 already, the way I see it is that we get the highest level. Our characters grow in strength.
To scale everything down is to essentially make it so we never level up. Our characters never get stronger. Arena.Net may as well remove levels and give us all 70 Trait Points as soon as we create the character.
Edit: Arena.Net – Your language filter really needs some fine tuning. (less – boring? = kitten ring?)
(edited by Kelthos Doombringer.9032)
Sorry, but I like the feeling that my character actually gets stronger as I level and obtain gear, not remain the same for 80 levels.
It’s not that Minions themselves are all that bad (except Jagged Horror, PLS ANET, PLS), it’s their AI that is the issue. I don’t ever deal with Minions and probably never will(I think they’re a horrible take on what the GW1 Minions were), but I do believe that the other Minions are better for Minion Master builds where we use them to apply constant pressure and for extra toughness. Bone Minions die a little too easily to rely on.
But that being said, I too have taken to using Bone Minions for their explosion, an extra 4k damage is very welcome.
I’d rather keep with Guild Wars lore and bring back Disease. Necromancer ability from GW1 example:
Virulence:
Elite Spell. If target foe was already suffering from a condition, that foe suffers from Disease, Poison, and Weakness for 3…13…15 seconds.
I don’t think this would cut it by itself though.. Suggestion:
Condition: Disease
Disease can be like Bleed or Poison, a DoT. To avoid making it 1 build only, make Disease have its own Condition Damage.
Mechanic: Disease can spread to 5 nearby foes. The damage starts low but builds up over time to a maximum damage and lasts on the player until cleansed, or has a long duration.
Necromancer Death Shroud Number 5 Ability:
Virulence: Inflict target foe with Disease, inflicting X amount of damage of Y duration. Disease spreads to foes within Z yards. Can spread to maximum of 5 additional players.
Necro only Mechanic: If target foe already has a Condition on them, they are inflicted with Weakness and Cripple. If the Disease ends/is cleansed from any of the players, the Necromancer gains A health and the foe/s are stunned for 1 second. (Heal can only happen once per Virulence).
Chain: Outbreak: Mutate the Disease on target player, stunning them for 1 second and immediately spreading the Disease to 5 additional players within B yards.
And/Or
Chain: Taste of Pain: Rip the Disease from the foe/s, stunning them for 1 second and healing the Necromancer for A HP.
Note: Don’t need to stun in all chains.. I just feel that the Necromancer needs a bit more control.
Think the biggest issue with all these suggestions is that people forget/don’t realise that the Devs are looking for/build a new condition and want it to be implemented for multiple professions.
Elementalists already one of the weakest classes?
What game are you playing?
The reason they were buffed in the first place was because players thought Elementalist was too weak. Now the reason there has been Elementalist nerfs in the past few patches is because players feel that they are currently too strong. And I remember the betas, Elementalists were pretty funny to fight. I, as a Necro, could beat one purely with Death Shroud, and look where Necromancer is now.
Provost… while the Guardian in question may not have been the best, and ignoring the necros skill, conditions need a SLIGHT rebalance in terms of their ability to do damage and stacking.
You’re funny. That’s a good joke. ..What game are you playing again?
Tell me how D/D Elementalists can currently cleanse the vast majority of the Conditions on the just by simply switching Water attunement?
188 (somewhere around there), is the highest I’ve gotten, with 25 stacks of Might, Master Tuning Crystals, Rare Veggie Pizza and 25 stacks of Corruption. I don’t have optimal gear – Carrion – and I don’t have Undead runes. But I do have 30 in Spite.
The only way your friends are getting their Bleeds that high is through optimal gear, consumables and 25 stacks of Might.
If you give that particular condition to multiple classes, it would become ungodly overpowered, you would see it in every match, dominating.
Disease would have to be Necromancer only.
I still vote for the Acid thing, that was the best idea I’ve seen out of all of them.
I don’t see how 1 condition would dominate anything. The mechanic that other Professions would get is only the Disease mechanic, not any of the Virulence mechanic.
My suggestion of Disease would not stack, it would simply build up to a maximum of say 200 damage per tick. An additional application of Disease on a single target would only cause the Disease to jump to additional targets, nothing more. It would not stun on cleanse or anything like that.
Dervo.9186Assuming of course, that the mechanics of skill #5 wouldn’t interact with that specific condition. Which is a good assumption because it sounds like they don’t want this to end up being a necro only condition.
Right, the Number 5 ability to control what happens to the Disease is Necromancer specific. The Disease mechanic itself:
Condition: Disease
Disease can be like Bleed or Poison, a DoT. To avoid making it 1 build only, make Disease have its own Condition Damage.
Mechanic: Disease can spread to 5 nearby foes. The damage starts low but builds up over time to a maximum damage and lasts on the player until cleansed, or has a long duration.
Is what other professions would get.
(edited by Kelthos Doombringer.9032)
I know that at least Thieves, Rangers and Engineers could have it. Mesmers could probably have it from their random condition stuff.
I’d rather keep with Guild Wars lore and bring back Disease. Necromancer ability from GW1 example:
Virulence:
Elite Spell. If target foe was already suffering from a condition, that foe suffers from Disease, Poison, and Weakness for 3…13…15 seconds.

What Emon said, they have some hard counters to most of our builds.
SoS members, please do not fuel the fire. Just report it and move on.
So, as of late I have been trying out new builds on my Necromancer in hope that we get some buffs soon. Through the use of the Heart of the Mists and this awesome new calculator (http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/), I crafted what appears to be a decent Power build for WvW.
However, my issue is that when in the Heart of the Mists, players don’t have access to specific gear stats and I am not getting the intended numbers, for example: the calculator says I have 20k HP on this build but I have 28k HP in the Heart of the Mists, nowhere near the same power in the Heart.
Whilst I know it’s a looong shot but I still think it’s a pretty decent idea, my suggestion is to add a similar theory crafting zone for PvE-ers/WvWers to try out new builds. A lot of players do not have access to huge amounts of gold, so buying a full set of gear to try out a build that might not be viable is really not on the cards.
In this zone there would still be dummies (maybe an unkillable dummies so we can test sustained Damage) and vendors for armour, weapons, runes and sigils. But instead of PvP equipment, the vendors give equipment with all the different stat combos (Knight, Berserkers), all the back pieces, trinkets, gems, etc!
PvPers are only 1 of 3 player bases in this game but are the only ones with access to a reliable theory crafting zone. It would be awesome if the WvW and PvEing player bases could have access to their own zone as well.
Thank you for your consideration,
Kelthos Doombringer

Necromancer is probably the weakest profession in WvW at the moment.. Hopefully we get some buffs.
What is this I don’t even….
Necro condi bombs cover the world in badge farming insanity. Necros are AMAZING in group combat. Flat out terrain denying, hp dropping nuclear bombs in wvw.
Well considering I was covering staff, and not the utilities (except for minions). Necromancer Epidemic is pure damage. No support. No control. We have no support other than our under-powered, huge cooldown wells.
There is no power build for Necro, there is no tanky build for Necro. We can provide extremely minor healing to our allies and we can only cure conditions with a 60 CD well with ticks 5 times and with an extremely buggy signet.
Not sure how you see 4 marks as being terrain denying and HP dropping nuclear bombs when all they do is 3 bleeds, a chill field and a potential area weakness, topped off with a 3/4 second fear..
Mesmer, Guardian, or Necromancer.
Necromancer staff owns. Their abilities own. Espically the ones that remove boons off the enemy teams hero. They don’t really have a spike but they can set one up with spectral grasp. Or they can fill space with minions.
What is this. I. do not even.
Necromancer staff doesn’t have an ability that removes boons from enemies. The one you’re referring to is Putrid Mark and it transfers conditions from allies to enemies. On a 20 seconds CD and seems to be quite inconsistent.
Spectral Grasp pulls and chill 1 target on a 30 second CD. Minions have a terrible AI and should never be used.
Necromancer is probably the weakest profession in WvW at the moment.. Hopefully we get some buffs.
OT: I’d say Guardians are the strongest at the moment. A lot of build diversity, huge amount of support, can also be very bursty if built correctly.
Awesome fight @ Jade Quarry Valley!
Until you pathetic EMP players decided to spam Golem in a Box in mass at us. Good indication of how bad your guild really is.
But thanks for the bags.
I think all sides got ppl using it. Seen it in use on Jade Quarry bl by SoS players (leading guilds).
That’s a shame. Just know that ATac does not use this.
Awesome fight @ Jade Quarry Valley!

But thanks for the bags.
Might as well call out people for using the Skale Venom consumable then son.
Oops, my bad. Didn’t know that Skale Venom could hit 1k – 6k per hit. Oh wait.
Erp someone beat you to it. We already had a thread.
Where there was once two, there is now one.
Mark, please ensure that you relay to the Devs that you guys need to fix the Golems in a Box issue in the next patch.

+30 points for JQ and we hold only camps? We must have no oceanic coverage at all now. Pvdoor on Jqbl must be fun for SoS.
Well, considering it’s only 4:48pm AEST, I don’t think that qualifies as “Oceanic” time. Most people aren’t off work here.
Just means our NA are currently stomping yours/your leaders were silly enough to have a blackout in the middle of a prime time and on a Monday!
Notice how far away JQ and SoS stood away from each other.
all that shows is either SoS or JQ dropping AoE on the bridge to keep them back. Hardly proof of some master plan where we align with JQ to take down SBI.
Sorry, Chips, but this ^.
Another example for you – for the past 3 days JQ and SBI have 2v1ed SoS BL Bay. Obvious treaty between SBI and JQ because SBI goes from Redlake (their only node) to Faithleap and assaults Bay from the north (talk about bold! and some epics fights, btw) WHILST JQ is attacking the south!
NOT FAAIIIIRRRR!!!
Seriously. Get over it. There is not a single fight in WvWvW that will not be 2v1. It’s physically impossible (unless of course it’s only WvW).
JQ and SOS literally just stand there and look at each other. How sad is that? They don’t ever fight at all. We got 2v1ed the whole night and our score eventually dropped to 55.
I mean I play this game for fun. I couldn’t careless who is winning as long as it was a fair fight. But these 2v1s happens every night and they are really taking the fun away.
Oh boodle hoodle.
What you didn’t show in these screenshots is what probably happened 1 minute later. Dead JQ or SoS scattered across the road.
As said a billion other times by a billion other people. World vs World vs World. By default there will always be 2v1. But as long as it’s not you getting 2v1ed it’s fun, right?
And if it’s always JQ and SoS vs SBI, how did we lose SM last night? C’mon bud. Need to get a cup of cement in ya.
So you are upset that you didn’t get a rare from a chest that you knew came with a lot of RNG factors? Arena.Net even roughly told people the rarity of the certain items.
So, just because you bought 16 of them you felt entitled to one of the rare item? Tell us.. if you had only gotten one item, would you have still complained?
Are people on this forum become stupider/whiney-er, or is it just me?
Wow.
/agree with Pharcyde.

Haha, just to clarify guys, I just typed what I was told. I wasn’t told anything about a lack of transfers, if anything, I thought there was a nice number of NA players that had come across. I played with them a couple times.
However, we definitely felt it more when they left because FA took the entire pie at 5am AEST.
Not pointing fingers or blaming people. I don’t really care what the truth is, at this point we just want the drama that the Moderators of the SoSU have had to deal with to come to an end.
I can confirm that RUN has/is leaving Sea of Sorrows. I have spoken to Akadios/Cayden about the issue.
However, the reasoning behind it was because RUN was being blamed for some of the hackings that occurred on 9/10 and wanted to preserve their reputation.
@Dwok
Our Oceanic presence is that of a casual one. Normal players have lives which consist of working from the standard 9am-5pm. If you wish to say that we’re not an actual Oceanic presence because starting WvW at 6pm and ending at 11pm due to work in the morning, I guess that’s fine.
I don’t know who decides what qualifies though, as we have taken the entire map bar FA BL tonight, and we’re still going – current time is 1:50am AEST.
Another point on the casual player base, most of our WvW players are also fair weather warriors. We experience high queues when we own most of the maps but we are scarce when we do not own more than half in each.
I cannot comment on the skill level of players that I do not play with. I am an Australian and play mostly during the late afternoon/evening. However, if you only see us Oceanics during the 4-5 hour gap (late afternoon/evening) -meaning the Aussies wouldn’t be on yet-, I apologize that your members/our current NA players are not a match for FA’s seasoned warriors.
SoS is still finding its feet in the WvW scene, but we are slowly becoming stronger. However, we cannot do that without NA/Euro guilds. We welcome all guilds to Sea of Sorrows, however, if you’re going to leave because of some hackers which are plaguing every server/prone to server hopping, you may as well stay where you are.

This does not affect me but it does affect my GF quite heavily – dizziness, nausea, motion sickness etc.
For A.net to essentially say “too bad, so sad, get over it” because they are worried about some art to people who become SICK when playing their game, is beyond appalling.
“gameplay suffers because positional awareness becomes less necessary in a game where combat is greatly designed around positioning.”
Ludicrous. Giganticus Lupicus. Do I need to say more? For the fight, the FoV expands obviously to compensate for the bosses size and the size of the arena. I play on a laptop, a pretty decent laptop, but on a 24" monitor. I suffer from no FPS drop. Your precious art stays the same.
Combat is designed around positioning is it? Please explain to us how this even makes sense or is even an argument.
1) You see red circle. You dodge out of red circle. How does this change if your FoV is larger, Jon Peters?
2) Players need to be aware of animations. We have to be able to SEE the players and the animations to avoid them. This is emphasized due to the fact that there is no cast bar.
Increasing FoV would let the players see more on the edge of their screen, forcing them be more AWARE of their peripherals. It would let players see MORE of your precious art.
That is the only change that would happen. People with 3 monitors already get this advantage. So you cater to people with 3 monitors, but you won’t fix a tiny issue that is making your customers SICK.
People are finding ways – Which YOU should do for them, A.net – to increase the FoV just to play the game and not throw up. You already give a larger FoV to people with three monitors. So your ENTIRE argument is invalid. How is it fair that people who spend an extra $400 – which isn’t necessary – get to enjoy a feature over people who get sick WITHOUT it just because they don’t go out and spend more money.
Ludicrous.
Hey,
I’m on Fort Aspenwood here.
And yes, we are currently matched up.From my perspective, it is really disappointing to go to bed, being up 4k points on both SoS and Mag, and then waking up to see SoS at a 10k point lead. That is a 14k point swing, in the middle of the night.
It makes wanting to take objectives and upgrade them feel pointless.
So your offering of joining SoS sounds real tempting because I’m getting tired of being nightcapped. Sigh.
In our defense, SoS lost quite badly last time we fought FA because WE were night capped by you. Except you guys did it faster and better.
We Aussies fought you tooth and nail and held firm against you NA forces during your prime time and some of us are only now logging off for the night. The last time we fought, our Union was still finding its feet and you even gained one of our larger AU guilds. But we are stronger now.
We shall see you on the battlefield.

@Cayden
I am a Moderator of the SoSU – I urge you to contact myself, Eris Ataxia/Brynna Swiftarrow or Marcus Harlion in regards to joining the SoSU. We have no knowledge of Defiance [RUN] joining. I actually just woke up.. and read this.
— My character’s name is Kelthos Doombringer.
Thanks for being more polite
Have you read what people have been talking about as possible solutions, though? Usually the solution is something involving outmanned, i.e., if you outnmuber your opponents, you should either get less points or they should get massive buffs.
This means that while your contribution is less while you fight sleeping opponents, they have the exact same thing when your server goes to sleep. It should balance out, correct? I.E. for any oceanic filled server vs NA, vs NA, the point system/outmanned buff system would pretty much be level.
That isn’t a fix though, because when one server wakes up, the other goes to sleep, so the points will still be going up at the same rate.
