For an example of this try a 3 way zerg fight in SM lords room in WvW… where you can light up all your skills without a single thing firing off until the dust settles and everyone goes away (or your die from condi) :p
Still going to complain about your two seconds? xD
If its any consolation in theory if your getting server lag they should be too..
Power outages are still a major problem in the area. It’s amazing they’re able to work at all.
It’s not the weather alone. US infrastructure sucks for decades already. In Seattle they seem to have outages all the time.
You know, I love the Pacific Northwest, but what you said really struck me. I’ve lived in another state and another country on a completely different continent, but never have I lived where there are so many bloomin’ power outages! I don’t know what it is, except that the Puget Sound region gets a lot of wind and we have (thank goodness, it’s what drew me here!) a lot of trees. So a branch goes down in Puyallup (try saying that if you aren’t a PNW resident
) and a house in Renton or Issaquah (try that one, too, just for fun
) can find itself in darkness.
Anyway, I know this is off topic, but don’t worry, I’m not directly working on the patch, so my posting to mention our region’s electrical anomalies isn’t taking away from the update!
Yea it could be worse… its comfortably into the 8th for some of us down under So if it makes it any better its perfectly timed! Bring on the windy power outages :p
I’m not mad about Anet getting hit by a power outtage and not being able to release the patch on the stated release day, it can happen. But Anet could atleast tell us that it won’t happen on Feb 7 for EU people (and it didn’t) so that we can just go to bed and stop waiting with hope that will only get a buzzkill. The ’’we’re working as hard as we can and will deliver it soon’’ just keeps moralizing these hopes.
As i said, they’ve the whole world to please… some of us are always a day late technically but that is the nature of time just gotta remember everyone gets it at the same moment, and give in that it might not suit.

So i’ve played a bit of this season and i have to say its been very frustrating so far. Rewards wise… the move to pips being a separate rewards system is the best thing that could ever have happened. Possibly the only reason i’m still playing… With regards the rating and being visible and the effect this has including the difficulty to transverse the system its been so painful.
It seems to me its too good at its job. Its hard to move from your position without playing in more difficult matches. This kind of devalues the intent of the system in the first place, to put you into a suitable similarly skilled group of players. Even if your skill level improves and you learn more about the game yourself you MUST duo to increase your rating.
I’m also curious as to how much the system deviates for the sake of a match up. I ask because i’m travelling at the moment in Oceania and play on EU servers. Apart from the handicap on ping (300 on a good day) the real issue this season is time difference. I’ve noticed my team mates are precariously variant on off peak hours which are the most often times i would play.
If i happen to play on peak hours i have more accurate team comps with excellent matches that are close and decided on good tactics… off-peak not so much. Team comp seems to let me down and it feels like there’s very little i can do to resolve this issue.
Rewards seem good, gold and being able to get ascended through PvP is a great addition. However frustrated that its tied to seasons only… as these have downtime. Perhaps non-PvP styled boxes similar to Fractals with a standard currency/gold price tag that would be available off seasons. I enjoy PvE as much as the next guy but i love that i can finally get ascended in Fractals and the more variety of locations to directly attain ascended would be great. Then we can finally get rid of/forget about the horrible crafting process :-p
For the record: I’m happy with my rating and where i am but it feels difficult to progress as the ranks of similar players are showing variance on skill level. Perhaps time will even and weed out these players.
(edited by Kindeller.3072)
I have reproduced this internally and I see the issue. And yes, it’s all my fault…
The fix should be included in the next patch. Unfortunately as I missed our hotfix deadlines, that could be a while ;_;
Until then, you do not have to reset the entire instance to fix this.
The bug occurs when the game destroys the wisp that you are holding, which happens on the event failure. If you drop the wisp, you are not affected. When the event fails, each player who had a wisp destroyed can log out, and log back in, and then they should be able to pick up wisps again.
I am very sorry for this inconvenience. I can see this making swampland runs quite tedious if you are wiping :c send me your hate mail and I will open it with shame.
Guess who’s off the Christmas card list!
Jokes, don’t beat yourself up.. these things happen, the joys of programming Props for communicating and resolving the issue quickly though. Even if our hotfix will be delayed slightly.
This sounds really frustrating, and I would like to fix it ASAP. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! Can you give me a bit more information about this? Which orbs specifically? Are you talking about the ones at the beginning, or the ones at bloomhunger? Also, do the orbs appear active? i.e. are they glowing green? Or are they just never activating in the first place?
Were they active at one point but after a wipe they never reactivated? Or were they never working in the first place? If you can reproduce it consistently with steps that is the best thing to help me fix this.
Thanks for the quick reply bud. The orbs at the beginning you bring from the three points to the three markers to open the way, They seem to always work the first time the instance is opened the bug only triggers when its failed as if the pedestal doesn’t reset itself correctly or maybe the wrong one is marked for the players and another position is actually active.
Seems to be the pedestal itself that’s bugged for interaction as on a few runs that had this bug with the same team we happened to have multiple people positioned at a pedestal that was bugged and neither player could pick up the orb.
With a party of three it should be easily repeatable.
- Enter the instance
- Trigger the orbs
- Pick up and fail the first set
- Upon reset get three people to attempt to interact with the new orb positions.
- One of these should fail
Our team had a bug earlier where we occasionally and randomly couldn’t interact with the orbs to move them on swampland. Caused some frustrations on this fractal… Affected multiple players and multiple orbs.
seems to happen after the orbs have been reset, only way to work around is to reset the intance.
It happened before the latest patch and after.

I’m curious how the % for each worlds population is determined… Because it really affects just how accurate all this theory is.
For example:
Is it based of people that actually enter the world on a daily/weekly basis? Or is it people that actually reach a new level? or achieve an objective? What determines a player that adds to a worlds active WvW population.
From experience i know of people that come and go occasionally that may add to a population but with minimal actual contribution over a long term period. What if a server has more of these? giving it a 80% pop but the 65% pop of a “smaller” server has a more core and dedicated group.
Fundamentally there’s a lot of variables i’d want to make sure where covered before we base a new linking system like this on.

I agree on this point, the stun shouldn’t last longer than is enough to take off about 50-75% of health if you hit the ground after it. Not only does that pose a threat by reducing health if there are enemies on the ground but it also allows a grace period if you are quick enough and there’s enough space below to redeploy your glider. Challenging, disruptive but not frustrating as there is a way to counter and survive in most cases.
For me it appears to be in relation to dodging. When i dodge sometimes my character cannot move again. It seems resolved by using a teleport or movement skill or dodging again. In sPvP however using my endurance is a little frustrating just to be able to move.
It happens on all characters so seems to be related to the controls aspect not the character or skills. It is reset by a force interaction such as movement skill (leap/TP) or dodging. Simple movement doesnt work.
It could be anywhere from the controls not being released from the dodge action or the server itself not picking up player input after some dodges. Its an incredibly difficult one to first of all replicate and also test/bug. Out of interest i remember reading a thing about report’s also having attached or access to the last few bits of information sent along with the report… is it worth /bug ’ing these when it happens to help compile a list of information that can be searched for an answer?
Edit: I’ve also wondered if this is in relation to double tapping arrow keys that can simulate being held down? I’ve seen it in a few games where if i double tap opposite arrow keys it gives the game both left and right input’s constantly forcing a player to effectively stand still until one or both keys are double tapped again to release the input command.

I recently moved from the UK out to AUS. I play on Desolation and have come to realise that its practically impossible for me to achieve some of the things in the game i should because of latency sitting around 400-500ms.
One of many of these is the Ley line run.
Can i ask someone to take a look and change a few things? Mostly, change the boost jumps to a linear triggered area not a single orb. Secondly add a stricter movement path that if triggered shouldn’t fail because of my position when the game checks after i’ve flown off the edge because its not picked up i should have been boosted several seconds ago sending me off in the right direction… underneath the correct path :/
I’ve tried following guides and know im doing all the right things but cant catch a break because of measures outside my control
Thanks!
I have a problem with this purely because for me im not “Night Capping”. I moved from Ireland to Australia and now my prime time is changed. I have just regained the interest in this game – unfortunately I want the scoring fixed but this night capping approach is not the way to go – for me its down to the fundamentals of the scoring system that allows the population to massively affect the score. Think outside the box for a few solutions, not changing how others who have different play times can contribute.
WvW has been my go to for all of the specializations for each profession. rank up gives 9 or so HP’s essentially 10 = 1 HOT HP i grab the soloable and or a HP train in each map and get as many as i can normally about half or (10 or so HP’s in HOT) and then grab the rest with heroic proofs
I have came across two issues with purchasing gems atm. The first and for me the most annoying/decieving is, when buying gems with your billing country set as Australia, it shows you the gem amount in USD not AUD. The first time this happened i didnt realise i’d authorised a payment of almost 20-30% more.
Secondly i am originally from Northern Ireland, UK and have decided having moved to Australia that i would change my billing to my Australian bank account. Unfortunately when purchasing gems through BLTP setting my country to aus and using my aus details i still get charged to DR Ireland which incurs a surcharge for an international payment.
Am i forever going to be charged an additional payment for buying gems from GW2? if so… it’ll be the last time.
Ditto, even though I appreciate the suggestion, I really don’t want to use a BETA client. Get it in final and I will use it. I never had DC before unless there was an ISP problem. It really does need to be fixed. Maybe I wouldn’t care too much if I could restart and rejoin my squad, but even that didn’t work. Or I didn’t have wait so long for the event to start again. In this instance today it seemed the entire map and everyone on it was gone. Just me changing to a beta isn’t going to fix that. I really am not convinced that the problem is on the customers side in this instance at all. Since a patch appears to have made it happen more (OPs’ post), I highly doubt it.
This thread isn’t about a disconnect though, but a crash. The specific crash is an Out of Memory crash on the 32-bit client.
Let’s agree to stay on topic.
I think what Jon is trying to say here is, despite the fact that the patch seems to have triggered the crash by introducing the circumstances… the client itself ultimately is what is struggling with the events that cause the crash not the game. If you’re one in a few thousand that have this issue then its easier to approach from the client side. Which Jon is very kindly trying to do for you, by troubleshooting.
There may be a lot of things that would be nice to help you the player get back into the fight quicker yes, however resolving the crash would be a priority here as it could have repercussions later on and start affecting others (and may do so already).
With regards the 32/64 bit client, it may be in beta but its really a safeguard for the company and typically it wouldn’t be so readily available if it wasn’t usable. Off the top of my head I know of a few other game’s alternative clients that spent years in in beta some who never actually left it! Personally i swapped to the 64 beta client as soon as it was out and i haven’t had any issues that are seemingly linked to its use. I would recommend giving it a go as it may resolve your problems. If you want this resolved it may be an easy solution!
You can find the client under your information on the top right hand corner. Select My Account, on the right hand side there are useful links. Select “Download Client”, and under other clients you can find 64 bit client.
Hope that helps!

(SOLVED) Patcher streaming/play issue [AUS]
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Kindeller.3072
I’ve kind of managed to resolve this issue by bypassing my ISP using my phone tethered. I’m not sure if there’s an issue with the route i was being sent to the asset servers but seems to be working now I’ve overcome this part and the game no longer has to authenticate with them.
As a bit more detail i managed to download the entire game besides two files and it stalled and left me hanging. restarting showed the same two files. This move of ISP was what resolved this part. the streaming client and what tells the launcher that its playable i presume was also not authenticating with myself and therefore halting the play function.
(SOLVED) Patcher streaming/play issue [AUS]

I recently bought a new laptop and have been on the go down under in Australia. Despite having abysmal internet connection almost anywhere – I decided to check out HOT since i bought it ages ago before leaving. I’ve been slowly but surely downloading the game and playing/streaming as i go. I haven’t had to preload a map for a long time with what seems like the most of the game done. However since the most recent patch my launcher has stopped letting me play while streaming despite the launcher showing the game as past the playable stage. The play button is grayed out and logging in and out doesnt make a difference. When i first tried to log in i got an error message stating that i didnt have the correct privilege however im not sure this is relevant as i have tried another account i have and that doesnt give me a play option either.
Any ideas?
My Main has been locked out and crashes the game when i try and select/play him. This is crap because he’s the only one with the WP’s for this event I sent a ticket in but had to log out for a bit. Is there any way someone can check and get him moved or something in case its the map?
Am i the only one? It only started today I think? …he’s human I’m pretty sure Mordremoth hasn’t got him :p
Got nothing here too at the end… GG
It’s more than likely just a case that the game can show and display a nice high res textured character in the character select screen as that’s all it is trying to render. All that said, looking at the images I think its down to lighting and area. The Character select screen will have a well lit scene where as the in game could have a number of factors changing the way your character looks. Between the two I see very little differences in texture quality themselves.
…in my opinion anyway!
Was there for the entire thing, helped win for our side was even on one of the streamers screens annnndd… havent seen or heard a thing as of yet :/
[Feedback]EliteSpec, Minor trait, Bad Design

The trait works at range. its designed to encourage the long range play-style that the dragonhunter should encapsulate. Its not poor design, its great design as it rewards playing to the strength of the specialization.
You don’t have to be at that range to benefit from the longbows skills or abilities, it just makes a difference when you play to its strengths. Theres a reason its minor and theres no choice in the matter. The minor traits of all classes and specializations tend to focus on one aspect; this ones the longbow ranged guardian.
If this was the case, if everyone opened a mini from their hero panel the map would implode…
I joke.
I highly doubt it, It does count to how well the game performs but it’s not going to affect players ability to enter; afaik.
Personally, I was in a similar position to you. I really don’t like crafting in most games. I put through it purely because sometimes its financially worth it however for GW it is kind of necessary for a lot of the high end stuff. If ascended is what you’re looking for however Despite the fact i have weaponsmith, tailor and armorsmith all at 500 I still have only crafted one singular piece of ascended armor. My elementalist is two or three pieces off full asceneded and my guardian has a few pieces as well as a few duplicates or useless pieces in my bank.
Most of mine has been from drops around the place. I don’t play extensively but do WvW so i get regular chances at Ascended gear. This method has been more fruitful thanks for the ability to swap stats to anything you want!
All that said and done, there is no better way than a guaranteed weapon of your choice it will just take time and or money to level up the crafting skills and create/buy the mats to craft it!

They have updated the time on the blog post to represent both actual times.
It’s more likely that as we have today, different bosses drop different champ bags each containing different loot. Adding a new champ bag would stop this and is probably going to be used instead. Meaning you’ll probably get nothing special from them. Just my guess though.
Why is is so difficult to check a ticket or update it? Is this functionality even there? I thought I was hacked earlier today left a ticket and have heard nothing. Cant find anywhere to check the status or let them know it’s now been resolved.
Rewarding a random sample is in poor taste.

Regardless of how you look at it, there are now people with the old edition that’s no longer available and just because they didn’t get an invite to the beta they have missed out on a free upgrade.
All of these old no longer existing account types should be upgraded in this case. At least in my opinion! :/
Looking purely at figures yes, the options have been reduced but your ignoring the simple fact that the reason options have been eliminated is by condensing similar traits into combination traits that support each other. In order to properly maximise builds traits with similar functions or targets where always chosen.. for example you select meditation skills and traits which reduce cooldown and add benefits. Currently that would require two trait choices where as now you only need one.
Sure we’ve lost a trait or two, but we now have a simpler choice which helps clarify the build your aiming for. Working with meditations? Boom single trait to boost their use. They did the same thing in WoW in either cata or pandaland i cant remember.
In essence your not losing any skills or traits and the only build diversity your losing are builds that are random and not synergised which tbh you should be thankful for because it means it will be less likely you’ll have someone in your team with a stupid useless build.
So many of us have hated the new trait system. It’s worse than the original in so many ways, such as making it harder for those with a lot of alts to keep up. While I like the idea of giving players an option to get traits through gameplay, it seemed like a lot of their choices for activites and the order in which they placed them were anywhere from odd to downright painful. Plus, the increased costs were really unnecessary.
If the organization of the gameplay options were more intuitive and more accessible to most players, or we had broader categories for completing each one, it might have worked. However, as it stands, it needs redoing and so it’s good news that they’re going to do just that.
Of course, HOW they redo it remains to be seen and whether it makes everything worse or better.
Forgive me for being out of touch but they’re looking at traits for HOT?
Yes.
Then i’ll just take this time to sit down and shut the front door :p

I was about to make a new thread but I guess I can put it in here -
I love guild wars 2 and I love to play it. I also enjoy the rich and vibrant world there is to explore. Unfortunately I am really struggling to enjoy playing new characters, and I believe the main reason for this is down to the restrictions and “progression” that was reverse added to the game with the previous major update.
I don’t define having levelled a character over half way through its levelling progression and still only having access to the first two series of traits. I understand the traits system as it is but locking off the end tiers (Master and GMaster) until 60+ is killing the levelling process for me. So much so I ended up powering through EotM to level my last character and this time I’m powering through sPvP to get tomes as at least this is teaching me the full ability range of the class.
I still enjoy going out into the world but when I try to do anything remotely interesting with my characters < 60 I feel like I’m useless. How is a character or player supposed to develop and learn the skills they need at 80 when half of the mechanics and build variation is hidden away until end game. when by then you should really know how to utilise your build and character.
Surely I’m not the only one that feels the same way?
GW2 cant handle FPS, looks pretty but too pretty for its own good.
It was described a bit better somewhere, around the time when it was introduced or when they where discussing the implementation.
Essentially i believe its a loot table of Junk,White, blue, green, rare, exotic. MF increases the base roll that picks from these table columns (however they also include not just gear). That said at the end of the day its RNG chances and you yes have more of a chance of getting the higher tiers but its still random and all it does is increase the margins ever so slightly. Even with the cap, your still likely to only get an exotic once in a blue moon its just more likely to overall. Your also still going to end up with a ton of greens and blues.
To visualize it:
Junk 1-20 Whites 21-30 Blue 31-55 Green 56-80 Rare 81- 95 Exotic 96-100
I would imagine something ridiculous like every 100% would only nudge those figures down one, but you still have to remember your still rolling between them all and can quite easily still get junk.
Of-course this is not how its implemented exactly but you get the idea?
Hasnt it always been the case that rares were not available until around this level anyway? pretty sure they didnt exist <35 anyway, even from launch?
This is the first time in a long while that I’ve genuinely enjoyed the content LS has brought to this game. Again it saddens me that this is going to be temporary as usual. Please, please, please tell me your working on a way to not waste this amazing large scale fun encounter and future content you may add.
I just wanted to take the time to say that for the first time last night on a random log in to give it a go we managed to push right through to the end. Everything about this encounter was really enjoyable, from the large telegraphed mega attacks (very unforgiving which i like, rewarding focus and skill with not too much downtime). to the mechanics involved in matching, splitting and working together to bring down the boss. I praise the fact that the encounter from the initial entering bosses right down to the final is split in stages so you feel a sense of progression and can see easily where you went wrong/failed.
I loved the final battle with scarlet and in the last moments were i got to have her eaten by my wurm finisher xD it was a simple and yet very effective use of story telling and really give a satisfying ending to a lot of people I’m sure getting to beat her down lol
Despite the bugs i hear about achievements and loot, all of that meant nothing to me in fact i forgot to loot half the enemies even if i couldn’t because i was enjoying myself so much :/
Keep up the good work!
I’ll try and keep this as subjective as possible and explain a little as I go.
Let me start by considering some problems that are currently present have always been present its just they have been unknown or unimportant until people start to experience them and they become more frequent and are brought to the masses.
For me the crit damage fiasco is simply one of these… It took time for people to play with builds work with classes and counter build changes as things settled to the situation we have now. It was always really there but as its brought more to the fore front people are aware and of-course it can become ammunition. I blame the players though for latching to the easy mode style play for better rewards sacrificing enjoyment of themselves and of-course others.
Content problems with Living story Vs traditional static content – Unfortunately there are pro’s and con’s to having content additions that are living and evolving through bi-weekly turn overs and it boils down to repeatability and fluid design. Content created can only be experienced in a bi-weekly format which means work done is lost to players who didn’t log into that two week period or log into the end to only be able to finish or understand half of it. Yes argue all you want that we have permanent additions to the game, but can you imagine what we would have if all the effort and content and story that has been added so far was repeatable and re-playable or was static and instanced.
The problem with LS lies in its inability to ensure players have enough… and not too much and that is all but impossible to judge when your catering to a population as large as that which resides in an MMO. People want something to do and with LS you either get with the program or lose out and its just the way it is. If things where instanced and released as a progressing story people could complete things at their on pace and sure bonus’ for completing content with the story should be rewarded but people need to be able to experience these things..
Look at the marionette, when scarlet’s all said and done new players and old returning ones can only look at videos and say… gee that looks fun.
Objective note: to me its just shooting yourself in the foot, its a nice idea… but i just don’t feel like its working as they would like/intended.
I have to go to work but there are more points i’ll edit at a later date that explain a few of the things that have changed since launch.
This sums up my major frustration with Gw2… Its rewards system has always been a major gripe of mine. RNG drops and the fact that everything you need is available everywhere but nowhere specific. This means you cant really farm for a specific item. The only way is to farm for money which is why we have champ trains etc because at the end of the day, Money buys everything… and i mean everything.
My point being, your far better off farming gold and just buying them because its the only way you can guarantee the effort you put in… will reward you what you want.
http://www.gw2armorgallery.com/human-light.htm this might help (:
So after you decided to remove the glory , can we expect some exchange ? I can´t and i wont play for 250 hours spvp cause i dont like it , i actually i hate it but thats off topic .. Please let me know if you thought about this
If you have 250+ booster and hate PvP, you most likely got them from Achievement chests (i.e free boosters) and therefore you are not applicable to exchange the booster. It’s like you are complaining for something you got for free.
About people that have bought some with gems, they have a month to clean their stock, that should be more than enough time.
Actually you could argue that since he got them as a drop and doesn’t do sPvP and is now being removed he could have potentially got something else. Its all fine if you use them but free or not he earned a reward from a chest and regardless if he plays sPvP or not he could have got a different reward that he could have used. I don’t see why an exchange for a similar booster wouldnt be too much to ask.
Also what if he was a huge sPvP fan played daily but had accumulated these anyway. Hell I’m sure there are some out there that got these from BLC’s and technically paid for them… Do they not deserve an exchange also?
Just spannering your works :p
also… I wonder do these still drop from things… it would be interesting to see if knowingly removing this currency they are still wasting potential booster rewards in peoples chests etc :/
I’m not bothered about the fact that there is a small and rather minor vertical progression system… I’m more bothered about the way in which i have to grind RNG drops to get them. I wouldnt mind if i had a token or goal by which i could progressively seek and gain to work towards said item. (A farm is fine when i have a progression and goal, not random) like pristine fractals and such but things like armor with materials that drop randomly and although you can farm for them the drop rate is abysmal. Which then leads me to the bottom line here that i can at the end of all things… do everything and anything and not actually work towards anything in order to get the gold to purchase everything i need. IE I earned nothing and just bought my way to greatness.
LET ME EARN IT FOR DUCK SNAKE. /rant over.
This isn’t so much something I want help with, but a Major kitten bug that needs looked at. I mean… it’s potentially a privacy issue with saved data and shared computers etc..
I mean god knows what else is saved on your system between logging in and out? Understandably not many people these days use shared computers with everyone really owning their own but still…. I’ve no idea how far this one reaches.
No seriously… its having serious problems with my game… today i logged in and i couldnt use the LFG tool because my character was under 80… apparently despite being 80 and decked in exotic and ascended stuff lol
Also missing my guild(s) info etc….
I’ve recently purchased a second account, but I’ve been coming across some very strange behaviours when logging in between them. For example parts of my second account appear to be saved to memory and when i log back into the game on another… i still have some information such as world completion, friends lists etc of my other account even though I’m using and playing on a completely separate account and characters… Its quite strange.
Anyone else seen this before?
It might be that im not closing the game but logging out between them but regardless to log out of a game you would assume such information would be released from memory…
Pretty sure its not an issue with the gloves because i’ve noticed it on my illusions and my character doesnt wear any of the radiant/hellfire stuff o.O
It has to be said I’ve never understood the progression of Ascended stuff. Its two ideas merged that simply don’t work well. The intention of ascended gear was for two things. To provide an end game goal to work towards at 80 and also to use agony as a progression limitation in Fractals. Unfortunately there’s a slight hitch with the progression of ascended gear in fractals.
Rings and back item are the only pieces available in fractals as rewards, The issue comes that you “should” be able to infuse these in fractals unfortunately I’ve found that the pieces necessary to do this (5 vails, 3 globs, 1 shard) drop really only in respective tiers (1-10,11-20,21-30) And to get the shard is almost impossible on 15 agony in the 20+ range. its also possible obviously to get an infused ring 20+ as well but again 15 agony alone wont do it.
I’ve never understood why it isn’t possible to purchase these mists essences or an equivalent method to get infused rings in the mists themselves. We have a daily reward token… slap some ridiculous numbers on there and at least give people the option to gain other ascended rewards in fractals, for fractals, over an extended period of time.
Again though we come down to RNG and the way that everything in this bloody game is surrounded by random drops… so i guess there is the chance that something will drop weapon wise from a chest. Woop. 1 in 50 or something can progress a little further than everyone else.
Maybe its just the fact that I’m the kind of person who likes to earn a reward from a game, by something that I’ve done using the game mechanics. Not someone who’s been lucky enough or went and farmed or spent gold on a market place to progress further. I haven’t earned anything that way, I’ve just bought my way to the top.
Hate me all you want, atleast it was one thing WoW understood. I worked hard and enjoyed seeing my progression and improvement as i gained each piece of gear. Here i have to run off and farm to craft somewhere else for something i enjoy doing and cant progress in.
Not sure where exactly they’re coming from, but I’ve now got two of these in my inventory today from random activities. I think they have accidentally entered the loot tables because my birthday has already been and gone on this char :/
In all seriousness, can anyone tell me what a valid reason might be as to why all party members are kicked when the opener D/C’s? Its fracking frustrating. Just worked my way through Fractals for today’s bonus. 20 Minutes to spare, about to defeat Mai… Opener D/C’s we all lose our possibility to today’s daily. Thanks for that.
Given that the map holds ~150 people we can assume you have plenty of opportunity to achieve success with any server since each one most definitely holds enough for a medium sized guild to complete the boss on their own.
So, please don’t say that any server couldn’t compete for world first, and don’t complain that Anet simply congratulated Desolation on doing so. It was really anyone that could have done it.
As mentioned however what made Desolation, no sorry, The map itself and all the people on it stand out was the fact that they worked together very hard to coordinate each other and help defeat the boss; It just so happens they where on Desolation server when they did so. Props to them.
Most of these people who moan about rangers do so because of things they hear and rarely make their own minds up or even know the reasons some people consider it inferior. There is nothing wrong with them, and as some people have mentioned they have very useful attributes. I love playing my ranger and don’t see any problems really. They could do with some TLC for sure but they’re not the disaster zone they’re made out to be (:
