1: World boss loot. These are GW2s equivalent to traditional raid bosses, yet the loot they drop is terrible. Teq revamp was a step in the right direction, imo.
2: RP. Player housing, more emotes, chairs you can sit in, ect.
3: Temporary content/living world
My group just finished the TA aetherblade path, including the 5 mini missions you need to do for the “Above and Beyond” achievement. We had 2 minutes left on the timer when we finished the last mission, but no one in the group got the achievement.
Should last years achievements still be obtainable this time around? I missed the event last year and didn’t get a chance to get all of the achievements and I’m hopinh I could catch up this time around.
I came back to the game after a lengthy break a few days before the last living story was available. Naturally, I collected every achievement I could before the event ended. However, because of the way that it’s set up this time around, it’s impossible to finish the 50 point meta without doing a few days of dailys.
This is my problem. For both the clockwork meta and the jubilee mete, I was one daily (per meta) short of getting the final achievement. I’m not sure if it’s possible to, say, grant me the final steps that I need, but that would be much appreciated, as it’s driving my OCD up a wall.
PS: Not sure if this is the place to put this, but here it is.
This picture details two issues I have with some pieces of armor. One…what’s wrong with her shoulder? It kinda folds back awkwardly around the back, making this item look kinda strange on females.
Second isn’t a bug, but I want to point it out: On the charr cultural t2 chest armor (the one I’m wearing in this screenshot), there’s that little area on both sides of the neck that are a pinking red and can not be dyed. Kind of annoying. ><
Another thing I wanted to point out: for female charr, many weapons seem to float a few inches away from the character’s back. I’ve tested it with a few weapons and armor, and it really seems like the weapon should be a few inches closer to the back of the character instead of just floating. I imagine that it’s like this for a few races. shrug

Lame. :/ Keep us updated if you find a fix. I feel like I’m not getting my moneys worth out of this card. If you find a real fix, post it!
Still having this issue. Is my processor holding my card back? If so, would it be a good idea to overclock my CPU a touch?
GW2 is very CPU dependent. You can have an Nvidia Titan with an i3 and it still will not run as you would expect.
What CPU are you using?
AMD FX-4100 quad core 3.6ghz. CPU activity usually hovers around 60-70% while playing GW2. Other games I’ve tried will use 100% of both and run flawlessly.
Tried everything. Game booster, clean driver sweep, 13.5 drivers…I’m still having problems. My FPS lingers around 30 most of the time, which is very low considering the card I’m using (Radeon HD 7850, of course).
The problem is that Guild Wars 2 is only using 40% of my card. Other games easily bring the activity meter up to 100. Not Guild Wars 2. I’m not sure why.
I started up Battlefield 3, a very graphically demanding game. Turned it to max, got about 45 fps in an empty server. Huge step up from my old card. That game also maxed out my GPU and CPU usage, something Guld Wars 2 doesn’t do, as I mentioned.
Did you reinstall the drivers or update them to a current version? Are you running that add on everyone keeps talking about that improves the look of games (don’t remember the name).
Game Booster? That doesn’t help. I have the latest drivers. I’ve done everything listed under the “low fps” thread. Still nothing.
Massive framerate drop when I turn around. It stays at about 20 fps until I turn to face the building with the trading post dudes, then it goes up to a nifty 50 fps.
I’m using am AMD XF-4100 Quad-Core. Windows 7 64-bit, and 8 gigs of RAM (As well as my shiney new Radeon card, of course).
I just upgraded my video card from a Radeon HD 5750, up to a Radeon HD 7850.Upon logging in, I noticed that my FPS wasn’t any better. In fact, it’s worse!
Standing in the middle of the Black Citadel cuts my FPS all the way down to 20. I’ve installed the latest drivers and overclocked it to max. What irks me is, according to AMD control center, only 45% of my video card is in use, and roughly 70% of my CPU is.
How can I fix this? I didn’t pay 160 bucks to have my game run -worse-. So strange.
I was told that, the more toughness you have, the better chance enemies have of attacking you. Now, I’m not sure that this is true, but I’m seriously starting to believe it.
My warrior has run with toughness sense I hit 80. I’ve pretty much only ever uses full/mostly knights gear in dungeons. I’ve also noticed that, 9 times out of 10, most enemies like to go for me. I’ve done dozens of explorable paths by now, and each one I’ve noticed this.
Now, I’m not build to be a tank. I use a greatsword. So having this many enemies on me at a time seriously hurts, despite all of my toughness. I’ve recently picked up a full-zerker set and, not to my surprise, I’m being attack far less now. I suppose this brings me to my point: Does toughness generate aggro? If so, does that mean I should stop putting it on my gear so enemies don’t attack me, and thus I could survive more (oh, the irony)?
I’m here to report two problems I’ve had with textures/models. The first is (as mentioned before) that come items “cut” my character’s waist horizontally below her navel. This happens with the Whisper’s Leggings and the Feathered Leggings. It may happen with other items too, but these are the two that I KNOW cause the issue.
The second it: red pupils! Both of my human female characters have red pupils instead of black. Turning “Render Sampling” from Native to Super-sampling HELPS this, but it doesn’t fix it.
I’ve attached two screenshots that points out both issues I’ve mentioned. The cut in the character model is easier to see when she’s in motion. Stretching, bending, idle animations, and the likes.
EDIT: More info on the cut at the belly: it’s not just the pants causing the problem. It’s the combination of pants AND gloves. While wearing the Embroidered Wristguards and the Whisper’s Leggings at the same time, the graphical issue can be seen. Un-equipping either of these items fixes the problem until the item is re-equipped.

So, my female human thief has red pupils, making her looks more evil than desired. It bothers me! I’m not sure why her eyes show up this way, but they do, but ONLY from a distance. If I, say, pin my camera to a wall and have her face said wall, getting a nice and close view of her face, they’re black, as they should be. It looks like a graphics bug.
Also, turning on super sampling makes the red-eyes look a little less…red, but it doesn’t fix the problem completely. The first attachment is taken with render sampling set to “Native” since my computer can’t handle super sampling all too well. The second is a close-up, showing what her eyes SHOULD look like.
If it helps, I’m using an ATI Raedeon HD 5700 series video card. Thanks!
The tactic I used for my 100g is still alive and kicking: farming Cursed Shore events. The Shelters gate area is the best, even with all of the bots. Just get in a group and it makes tagging mobs easy.
15-20g a day if you stick with it for a while each day.
Farm DEs in Cursed Shore. I made the 100g I needed for my set in less than a week doing that. Totally worth it.
And I’m not gonna waste my time doing the same DE’s over and over for gold that you get in a week. and that means in like what? Three days of doing this farming thing, you could finally get the tier 3. When, if they lowered the price, could be a lot less time trying to get all that gold.
Three days of farming to get an armor set you very well may use for years. Not for stats, of course, but for looks. If they lowered the price, everyone would wear the full set to show of that amazing 30g they earned.
Maybe that sounds a little rude. All I’m saying is, if you want something bad enough, you’ll drag yourself through the grind to get it. It’s good that his game has these optional grinds to keep people that enjoy them, like myself, interested. But that’s just my opinion.

Idk how you figure that, the armor doesnt even look that great and its rare, not exotic…..
1: It looks great, I don’t know what set you’re looking at. 2: No one would farm for T3 cultural armor for the stats.
All the asuran cloth armor sets are lousy looking. I wouldnt spend a copper or karma for them.
Some of them look better than others, I suppose. Charr heavy armor the best by far IMO, but maybe I’m biased.

Here’s what I do: Farm events in the cursed shore. I have about as much magic find anyone can get on my gear. That, along with an omnom bar, guild buffs, and the occasional banner gives me MF through the roof.
I’ll usually farm between the events that occur the Penitent, Shelter’s Gate, and Jofast WPs. Between those 3, I’m almost always doing a DE. After the anti-farm code kicks in (about half and hour to 45 mins), I’ll go round up the valuable gathering spawns in the last 2 Orr zones. That nets me about 1.5g.
With these two combined, I can make about 7g before things slow down. That’s if I get lucky. I would say about half of that comes from selling ectos. With as much MF as I have, I find an average of 1 per event along with other nifty items, like crafting mats, that I can sell for some coin.
This is how I farm. If I could find another good chain of events to do while the anti-farm code resets, I could farm non-stop and make some seriously insane money.
