So far [HB] have been mentioned more than 20 times in this thread and only once has it been by a HB member. I just want to point out that I personally welcome any EU guild to NA servers, but I think ZD should have joined JQ to even out the EU numbers. However they might have been stuck in SEA queues there so Im not really sure where they should have gone instead. Maybe TC or mag?

Last week I aproached Indo asking him if we could make some kind of arrangement about pointing potential EU guilds towards JQ. At that time I didnt know about the ZD transfer. It seems my lack of avaible playtime have decreased my influence and with that the info avaible to me within the Blackgate leadership. I have in this and in previous games worked hard towards ballanced servers, and I will continue to do so. However I´ve come to the conclusion that my influence because of the previously mentioned is currently second to none, and because of that might as well not give a kitten.

Indo if you´r reading this, I hope you know I had the best of the NA tier 1 in mind when I approached you.

I think bosses should hit harder, stun more and force out the so called zerker meta that nearly everybody uses. Every update we get confined areas with tonnes of creatures that everybody just mindlessly zergs.

So much moaning from sos on these forums. I am a bit confused, they have not turned up this week at all. I see a 30/40 man sos zerg on the map, then walk into their garrison with only 5 defenders.

Seems obvious to me they want silver league and/or their players are so fair weather that at a prospect for a fight they log.

SBI has at least come out to fight at times. Having said that being bored of PVD we stopped doing it and camped dawn’s on SBI last night, even with a wall down they did not attempt to attack it. SO we took a garrison wall down, again we just wanted a fight/reaction, we got that fight versus ac’s and canons.

We went to eb, sos had permanent invisibility on the whole map! At least SBI came to play which was fun.

Anyway I cannot wait for this match up to be over. Everyone is playing some sort of game to go to this league or that and quite frankly it has been the worst match up I have experienced.

All of this. Its been a horrible week and its not the players fault. I’ve tried to have fun this week, unfortunately its been at the expense of SoS and SBI the only way to have fun at times is by spawn camping and stuff which is 1) boring and 2) sad to take part in and watch.

I’ve been on since oceanic so when you say “this time” what time are you talking about? I haven’t seen SoS form more than 10 people in any TZ today. As for that thread you linked all I see is line upon line of Bull smurf. Man up, get out there and fight. And if you lose, don’t worry you can always re-spawn and try again. SBI have been putting up fights and SoS hasn’t that’s all there is to it. At least from my perspective it seems SBI are trying harder. I dont give a flying smurf about politics, double teaming, rankings, meatloaf (the singer) , PPT, Jedus, Leagues, Legendary weapons or your feels. All I want is good fights.

And I think the majority of our Rallians feel the same way. Its not our fault you have a low server population, its not our fault you got matched with us. As an ArenaNet employee, it’s really his obligation to investigate this.

Many people have said that they think it’s impossible he didn’t know what people were doing there and so obviously came to troll them. This is a very self-centered point of view. Not everyone WvW’s on a regular basis. Even among those that do, not everyone uses the WvW maps to GvG. Regardless, even if that IS the area that GvG goes on at, if there is something going on there that breaks the TOS, then ANet will check it out.

The barrage of foulmouthed vitriol that got unleashed on him was undeserved no matter what someone does. What is wrong with people that they think it’s acceptable to talk to anyone that way? I’ve seen it time and time again in Queensdale when people who are farming champions absolutely lose their minds that someone has DARED to kill a champion when NOT on the train. Do they consider that not everyone wants to play that way? That some people enjoy a challenge, or even – and be sitting down for this one – might just be new to the game and are just doing events as they come across them? Sadly, all to often the answer is no. Because far too often, people never consider other points of view than their own.

The next assumption made by many is that he turned on his tag to show off or intimidate. He didn’t do this until people started swearing at him (an action completely against the TOS). Had anyone been getting that kind of verbal abuse, I would expect an ANet staffer in the area to step in to try to defuse the situation and calm things down.

The whole thing I think has been blown ridiculously out of proportion. It’s pretty obvious that the topic of GvGing on the WvW maps is a hot topic for many, with people passionate about the issue on both sides. It’s pretty clear to me that he became a target for a lot of people’s frustrations about the issue.

He made a mistake in thinking that what was happening was breaking the TOS. He used a phrase that people took wrong. And people assumed he used his tag to dominate them when he was just trying to stop people from being jerks.

I know he is upset about how people are interpreting his actions because they are SO WRONG about his motives. He loves the game. He loves WvW. He loves his home server. He hates to see it getting abused. He hates to see people’s fun being ruined by other people’s bad behaviour. But he is one of the most kind hearted, open minded individuals it has EVER been my privilege to get to know. So to have people see him in that light is, I’m sure, very upsetting to him. To have the situation become so negative would be equally very upsetting to him.

ChrisW has already apologised on his behalf so we are aware ‘you’ are not speaking for him. I feel sorry for you if you think anything that has been said is “vicious” what does the world look like through your rose tinted glasses? At the end of the day an Anet employee was being disrespectful to the community, there’s no excuse for that, he was clearly popping his tag to try and scare people into compliance, (must be an internet virgin to think that would work). He was standing right in the middle of the field to troll and flame bait and the reaction he was seeking was the reaction he got. I do think this should be forgiven but not forgotten. And I feel encouraged by ChrisW’s words maybe this could be the catalyst for change.

If anything this week has shown us, the few ATM left fighting at the very least have continually fought us hard (it seems almost 24 hours a day), most of the time without Waha and most of the time severely under supported.

Come to us bro, you’ll get the support you need here and the players to back you up.
Man, JQ lost a 10k lead over BG in one night this week and let BG build a 15k lead on that very same night, in NA prime !
BG are now 30k up at the end of the week.
Leave that mess dude, come on over to BG where you’ll be properly appreciated and have support from multiple commanders in every BL and EB.

Funny thing about SOR. Two weeks ago it had an easy match-up and you had to wait like an hour to get into WVW. Last week it was back to fighting Blackgate and JQ and SOR losing and you could get into WVW no wait anytime. This week another easy match….and the hourly queue is back.

SOR sure does like to beat up on the little guy and when a fair fight shows up, they run home…..

Great fights on EB yesterday, A big welcome to the new guilds on JQ and BG. Its great to have some tough opposition during EU TZ and its great to see JQ’s revival. While JQ has always brought good fights, yesterday was a different ball game. Its a shame the 2v1 against SoR ran all night during EU but it is what it is. I’m not complaining if the bags keep coming as thick and fast as they did for everyone yesterday.

Best I have seen is ‘It Burns When I [PVP]’ Not sure if they are still going, haven’t seen them for a while.

I was referring to cracking above 500 ticks. I run with the SEA crowd everynight and usually we’re around 450 but hardly ever get above 500. Grats guys.

Well they just received some of the better NA guilds from JQ in WARD and ACO. They’re probably trying to recruit more EU coverage though. The last time they were ticking this low they were able to lure KISS and IRON to their server and this helped them PvDoor with map zergs in EU time . We’ll see soon enough what will happen. All we can do is keep fighting the good fight.

SoR hasn’t dropped off in activity at all. We just don’t really give a kitten. The fact that BG has their oceanics pulling double shifts to close the gap on SoR says it all. BG are fielding massive numbers today. But none of it matters in the end. SoR is WvW server and come rain or shine we will be out there fighting the good fight. We don’t throw in the towel at the first sign of a tough fight. Which is more than I can say for BG. All I have done this week is chase the dust trails of BG running away. I for one am glad Merc and ND are bringing it. Because no other TZ does.

edit: Oh and JQ should get an arbitrary mention. Well done JQ keep it up. You are god’s special little sunbeam, etc. etc.
