I’m about 10 shy from the math I did. I submitted a ticket and was told to file a bug report….or post on forums, where this issue has yet to be acknowledged.

They’ve sent me response to my ticket.

Hello —-—,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at Guild Wars 2.

I understand that you have not received your mastery points after having all the achievements. You did the right thing in your previous ticket and submitted a bug report and create a forum post. This is a known issue and we are working on it as fast as we can. Thank you for all of your understanding.

People commenting that didn’t even bother to check their masteries count. There is a bug. I’ve sent report, made post on forum and sent a ticket. GM said that it is known issue and they are working on it.

Here is my thread, where i described the issue:

Have anyone noticed how similar this whole thing is to Diablo 3?

Glint’s egg reminds me of soulstones. It absorbs power of dead dragons, just like soulstones absorbed demons.

[spoilers] Soo who next?

Since there is a lot going on with Glint’s egg i think the next one will be Kralkatorrik.

Imo Primordius and Jormag would be cool to show up both at the same time.

Can I please get some acknowledgment for the argument that most MMOs with so-called “cheaper” xpacs still have that monthly fee thing going on?

I’m honestly tired of this argument.

Games with fees offer better services than Gw2 do. If Anet would have support as good as Blizzard i would be wanting to pay even 30$ subscription.

In WoW when i’ve encountered acc related bug or any other problem – response was extremely fast. In-game chat with GM, they even had GM that talked in my national language.

Here in GW2 my ticket from 3 years back is still open and i got no proper response to it. What i call proper response is not sending me mindless stupid CTRL+C, CTRL+V mail which just proves that GM didn’t even bother to read one line of my ticket, he/she just assumed what is in there by reading the title.

Just don’t act like Gw2 = WoW with no fees. I love Gw2. I love Gw1. I quit WoW long time ago, but holy crap i do miss their support and instant responses.

Since there was no response to my bug report and support ticket i want to share this here again, so more people will pay attention and hopefully devs too.

I have a problem with missing mastery points in Tyria. I went through all my completed achievements and wrote down ones which have Tyria Mastery Icon in their description. I am not alone, there are other people having this problem(including my guildies).

Here is my list(completed achievements with red mastery icon):

1. Echoes of the Past Episode - Living World
2. Tangled Paths Episode - Living World
3. Seeds of Truth Episode - Living World
4. Point of No Return Episode - Living World
5. Legacy Code - Personal Story
6. Been There, Done That - Personal Story
7. Crime and Punishment - Personal Story
8. Family Reunion - Personal Story
9. Storming The Castle - Personal Story
10. Some Must Fight, That All May Be Free - Personal Story
11. Something Lost, Something Gained - Personal Story
12. Master of Heroics - Personal Story
13. Waking from the Nightmare - Personal Story
14. A Season Of Growth - Personal Story
15. Branching Out - Personal Story
16. Rise to the Challenge - Personal Story
17. Things Best Left Behind - Personal Story
18. Graduation Day - Personal Story
19. This Far, No Further - Personal Story
20. Defending History, Informing The Future - Personal Story
21. The Cost of Victory - Personal Story
22. To Know the Unknown - Personal Story
23. A Friend In Deed - Personal Story
24. Brawn Over Brains - Personal Story
25. Flawless Fins Foil Foes - FOTM
26. The Floor Is Lava, Don’t Step In It - FOTM
27. Carrier Cacophony - FOTM
28. Open Grave - FOTM
29. Take A Bow - FOTM
30. Hop Skip Jump - FOTM
31. If We Only Had Marshmallows - FOTM
32. Weapons Tester - FOTM
33. Out of Cluck - FOTM
34. Karka Queen Killer - World Bosses
35. Slaughter in the Swamp - World Bosses

So i should have 35 Tyrian Mastery Points, but in reality now i have 24 Mastery Points points. I’ve added a screenshots for reference.

19 points in legendary mastery
3 points in pact commander mastery
1 point in fractal mastery
1 point available

Which gives us total of 24 points. That means that i’m missing 11 mastery points.

This, so much this. I hope this isn’t the end and they will add story during Raids release.

But if it is… Why would you even bother to call Mordremoth a dragon? It’s a cool idea to make enemy that basically IS the jungle, but please just don’t say it’s a dragon… cos it simply is not.

I would dig that if there was another encounter with Mord in form of the jungle dragon, to see this magnificent yet dangerous creature.

I’ve posted this bug yesterday. No response so far. I also opened a ticket and sent bug report through client.

I’ve counted all of my completed achievements with red mastery icon too and i’m missing around 11 points. That is ALOT.

Ok so i went through all my achievements. In total i counted 33 achievements with mastery point icon.

I got only 22 tyria mastery points to use after HoT release. Anyone else faced this problem?

PS doesn't give mastery points

Kruczek.3865

So i was looking through my achievements to figure out which ones will give me tyria mastery points.

In “hero” achievements tab i’ve noticed that i got plenty of points by completing personal story on different races. I didn’t have my norn PS completed so i figured i will run few missions to get mastery point.

Achievement i aimed for was Brawn Over Brains one. At this point it didn’t show that it will give mastery point, which was strange to me. Other PS achievements clearly stated that they gave me mastery point. Ignoring this fact i did “Sever The Head” mission.

I didn’t get mastery point. Then when i looked into this achievement info there was mastery point icon there

Even wiki says that this achievement should give me mastery point:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hero_

Is that a bug?

Raids excludes players, and it's ok.

Ug, I can’t even read all 6 pages of this thread. See what is going to happen is…people who don’t want to spend 6 months creating ascended gear and legendary weapons will just leave GW2 (Hi, that’s me!) and go play something with an end-game they can actually enjoy. The exodus will leave these threads totally devoid of people except the MMO-Darwinist like the OP, until GW2 becomes an insular boring game full of kitten-hats pretending that min-maxing a dumbed down build and throwing months of time into ascended gear equals “skill.” Bye, Felicias!

I am veteran player of both Gw1 and Gw2. I’d consider myself rather hardcore player, i pretty much quit playing gw2(i was still logging in for few dungeons a week) after ~8 months after i got my third legendary.

Ascended gear was one of the biggest let downs for me. I didn’t expect Anet to break their great rule of “no gear treadmill” which was the rule that hooked me to Gw1. I knew that everyone has an easy access to max level gear(just like gw2 pre ascended gear) and the only thing that matters is skill and teamwork. I knew that we all have same stats and our only advantage is our creativity and knowledge of the game. Just look at builds like 55 Monk, that was a really creative build. You didn’t have to play 12 hours a day to be good and beat hardest content.

Now regarding Gw2. Since ascended gear mattered the most in Fractals i was not bothered that much. I simply don’t like em. Now when raids are part of HoT i am extremely disappointed that players who just spent hours/days on crafting gear(which is not hard, it just reacquires fookin grind) have power advantage over players who just don’t want to spend their time on grinding.

This is it. Adding gear that gives you power advantage and at the same time reacquires significant amounts of time to craft is simply breaking the rule of “no gear treadmill”. Your power should be your mechanical skills and your knowledge which imo are the most important features of a great player. Ascended gear screwed their policy and there is no way to go back now, there will always be losers regardless what they will do.

I just crafted my full set of ascended items yesterday. Till yesterday i was running in full exotic gear. Only thing that pushed me to craft it was recent news on raids.

I feel sorry for players who don’t have cash/items and will have to grind the kitten out of this game, instead of experiencing what Gw1 was like and what Gw2 was promised to be. Skill based game.

Peace

i don’t know a single successful MMO that doesn’t have prestigious one-time rewards.
WoW does a great job with them.

Guildwars 1.

There were special rewards like minis for winning tournaments. Their prices were so huge i can’t even imagine anyone who could farm that much money. Grinning Shield is a joke compared to them.

I hope they don’t re-add the 2012 halloween skins.

I hope the same. Adding them would just break the market. Also there should be items like that – they make you feel like it was worth to play this game long time ago. Adding them would break this feeling.

Armour/Leveling?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Kruczek.3865

Kruczek.3865

There are only legendary weapons currently.

When you hit level 80 your first goal should be to get exotic set. It’s relatively easy until you will come up with some crazy build that requires extremely expensive runes. You can buy it straight from trading post.

Ascended gear has better stats than exotics(not much tho). This one will take you a while.

Then it’s just hunting for cool skins to make your exotic/ascended set look awesome.

Regarding weapons – legendary and ascended weapons have the same stats. Legendary weapons have an option to change stat spec at any time(to better suit different builds) and look pretty cool.

One-time awards like this are terrible for the majority of players. I hope ArenaNet never creates more one-tidme content like that. What I recommend is making an epic scavrnger hunt where players go out into the game world and do stuff to earn said skin.

I don’t agree with that. Imo it’s awesome when there are some extremely rare items in game and their amount is finite. I have Mini Karka and i love this item – mainly because it’s pretty rare. If there would be 1000 crows(black winged skinny thief human females) with Karkas in DR i would sell it instantly. Rarity of items makes you want them.

When Grinning Shield was relatively cheap(i had one but sold it :S) noone cared, it was just another skin. Now when it’s price is 4000+ k gold and the only way to obtain it is to pay that much – everyone(my friends and guildies) talks about this item and how badly they want it.

Dwayna GS Hilt belongs on Sunrise

Kruczek.3865

I’ve never liked the legendary greatsword hilts to be honest. The colours of the hilts don’t look good with the special effects IMO.

Edit: Just did some editing in Photoshop, and placed dwayna’s greatsword hilt over the top of the eternity greatsword hilt (with a few extra wing bits from dwayna’s hilt and changing of a few colours here and there). This looks much better IMO.

That looks amazing.

I wish they changed that. I have Eternity and i feel like “shiny pommel” ( and exactly the same hilts as in Twilight and Sunrise) is not enough.

It would be cool if Eternity would be god themed. Day version would become Dwayna’s(life) sword and night version would be Grenth’s(death) sword.

Revenant - way of holding staff

Hey guys!

First of all i want to say that i love Revenant, but i have just one cosmetic complaint.

Am i the only one who thinks that way of holding staff is just awkward? Revenant holds staff just like a hammer which looks strange to me. Couldn’t he just hold staff like all other classes – in one hand(while standing and running)?

Yes but when it will get sorted i will no longer be able to participate in this weekends beta event, which was why i pre purchased this expansion in the first place. I do understand that maintenance is something necessary from time to time and is used while fixing issues. My complaint is – they should’ve informed about it before i could give them my money. I also have hard time believing that i am the first person who has this issue and that payment processor is down only because of my case. That’s all.

So i am not “this guy” who will bash Anet all the time for every little mistake, but now i am seriously irritated.

Today after week of hard work i sit down to play some GW2. It also occurred to me that Heart of Thorns beta weekend is ending tomorrow. I thought it would be cool to check Revenant, so i decided to finally Pre-purchase expansion.

What happened?

I “bought” it through buy.guildwars2.com. Why quotation marks? Cos i threw 45€ and didn’t get my product. I knew something is wrong when i saw summary and there was no serial code there.

I went to my e-mail to check if i will find my serial code there – no luck. It said:

“Thank You for Your Purchase

Welcome to the world of Guild Wars 2!

Your serial code(s) are listed below. If any of your purchases are gifts, please include the following instructions along with the serial code(s)."

But there was no serial code. I opened support ticket.

Then i was asked for all information regarding purchase. After an hour i got reply which stated that “payment processor is currently undergoing maintenance.”

What the hell Anet?

My question is. Why in heaven would you not tell us about this maintenance before we throw our money at you? If you know that we won’t receive product we “bought” just please disable purchases and don’t waste our time and money for this nonsense. I just bought HoT to take part in beta weekend and apparently i will be not allowed to. Also i don’t have my 45€ – which in my country is quite a lot of money. That is ridiculous. Get your kitten together. Seriously.

GW1 players how do you feel?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Kruczek.3865

Kruczek.3865

@OP:

Really i feel meh. I have never thought of gw1 lore as a great one, but certainly it was much better than what i see in gw2.

Whole gw2 hype focused on PS and epic adventure so i was expecting something way better. It’s not horrible but it’s not good either. I was very excited when they announced that gw2 lore will be focused on ancient dragons. It was so epic to search for signs of dragons in eotn.

When i completed PS i was reallyyyyy disappointed with Zhaitan. Like… it’s an ancient dragon kitten . He didn’t say a word through whole game(afaik). Even Glint in gw1 could speak and said something. Ancient dragons to me are too animal like, only difference is that they are way more powerful and that’s it. I would like to have a little background story that tells us more about dragons. Maybe it’s just that anet didn’t make it the way i expected.

I am huge RPG fan. I play tabletop RPG games few times a week, i am DM in fantasy rpgs. Tbh i would create story like that in few hours. It’s too simple, sometimes boring and feels nothing like epic adventure. I expected ancient dragons to be smarter and stronger. Fight with Zhaitan was too easy. If i would be able to control him i would destroy whole “army” in few minutes. He acts like stupid flying pigeon, not like ancient dragon.

When people say that story of gw2 is childish i think they mean it’s too kitten simple and naive + it has no background. I remember when i was writing 13 scenarios for d&d campaign – i’ve spent one day for each main characters, i wrote looong background so players could gather information and come out with some interesting theories about each individual. It makes lore much more interesting when you can discuss story behind each character, but in gw2 Zhaitan – main enemy – is just flying bone…
___________________________________________________________________

Ok so that was my take on PS. Now it’s time for LS.

oh My GOD

LS imho is way worse than normal expansion. I would really like to see expansions like in gw1 where you get tons of new skills, 2 new professions and whole new continent(or pack of vast areas).

Remember what LS changed in gw2… not much huh?

Remember that in GW1 during 1,5 year they released 2 huge expansions – Nightfall and Factions which gave us as i said before – tons of new skills, 4 new professions, new weapon sets, 2 continents ,2 different good stories, new cool pvp content(factions), new armours and weapon skins, completely new heroes mechanic with good AI.

So please guys don’t even compare gw1 progress in 1,5 year to gw2 progress in same amount of time. It’s not even worth to discuss, i see some people here defend gw2 so hard it’s just funny.

It’s worth to mention i love both games. I love gw2 as much as gw1, atm i am at 2000 hours in gw2 and i hope i will hit at least 4000

Peace

PS:Sorry for my english xD
