With the exception in doing the new episodes for living story I just read the forums than go and play Aion.
I’m 24 and I would say Guild Wars 2 is just aimed at casual gamers of all ages
Why does GW2 make my computer run so loud?

This is probably in the wrong area and if it is than move it but nevertheless why does Guild Wars 2 make my laptop run so loud? This is the only MMO that I have this problem with so it obviously has something to do with the game. Don’t just say its my laptop because if it was only my laptop than I would have this problem with SW:TOR and Aion too.
Well, he did help to defeat Abaddon, maybe he has changed last over the 250 years.
I personally don’t want to see all old GW1 villains getting killed in GW2, he was an interesting character, most certainly more interesting than all the dragons combined.
Technically all he did was help us cross the desolation to get to Varesh Ossa so he didn’t exactly help defeat Abaddon. Although I understand you not wanting to kill off GW1 villians, Palawa Joko was destined to be an antagonist for GW2 by how GW1 set it up. As you stated, Joko would make for a much better and more interesting storyline than fighting dragons over and over again.

What if Palawa Joko is actually defending Elona and/or fighting against Elder Dragons?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but GW1 lore never really implied that Joko was all that “evil”.
Palawa Joko tried to exterminate/enslave all of Elona but was brought down by Turai Ossa, I think that would categorize him as evil.
That or we could just skip Kralkatorrik altogether.
The story could start with getting an email from the Order of Whispers
They have computers and the internet in Tyria to get emails?!?
Don’t be a smart-kitten , you know perfectly well what I meant but I’ll clarify for you anyway. I was talking about the in-game mail system where we send and receive messages.
That or we could just skip Kralkatorrik altogether.
The story could start with getting an email from the Order of Whispers stating that they need to meet with us. There we would be introduced to a surviving member of the Sunspears where he would talk and than show via a cinematic the destruction of Palawa Joko’s destruction of Elona. Afterwards we would be told of a secret passageway into Elona that the Order of Whispers would take us to. We would fight some undead and be able to bypass Kralkatorrik beginning our story in Elona.
That is a basic idea but you get the point of how it could start.
Yes but they could tie Elona into it to act as a prequel leading to us fighting in Elona next instead of continuing the fight with the Deep Sea Dragon, Jormag or Primordus .

Yes but it would be worth it would it not?
That’s why I’m asking Anet if they would make it happen.
Nothing personal but I could use a break from the elder dragons storyline for a time. Send us to Elona to fight Palawa Joko and his undead army and help the Sunspears, Kourna, Vabbi and Order of Whispers regain control of their homelands. Yes I know Kralkatorrik is blocking entrance to the Crystal Desert but if we kill him next after Mordremoth can we take a leave from Tyria and go fight in Elona?
Why is it that every profession has the same armour design? Rangers, Engineers & eles and mesmers for examples can all wear each others armour just because they’re titled light or medium. Shouldn’t each profession get a unique set just for them instead of cross sharing everything?
I would rather have a stand-alone campaign to Cantha or Elona or somewhere new altogether.
I love Timberline Falls as it just feels like home to me

I honestly hate that idea as most of those quest were tedious and boring doing the first time plus I seriously doubt it would interest players to complete them unless they started offering much better rewards.
Nothing as there is little to do, GW2 will eventually die because Anet doesn’t want to release any campaigns and their idea of an expansion is releasing an hours worth of content once a month via boring kitten living story. This game will be dead in 5 years if Anet doesn’t get their head out of their kitten . You might as well go to Aion or something similar as this game is a sinking ship.
Living World is obviously the replacement of expansions and that’s fine for the most part. In GW1 there were 3 stand alone campaigns and 1 expansion pack with Prophecies, Cantha, and Elona being the stand alone campaigns. Is GW2 going to have Cantha & Elona as stand alone campaigns at some point or is all I’m ever going to get is more episodes of Living Story every month?
That sounds really stupid
She’d probably enjoy WoW more, Guild Wars 2 is a good game but after you beat it there is little to do. Living story 1 can’t be replayed, unless Arenanet changed that, and there are no other campaigns so once you kill Zhaitan in the original and only campaign the game has little to offer to keep you coming back for more.
I have Nvidia 770 and have it updated but there wasn’t any improvement with Guild Wars.
I’m giving this a giant hell no as I prefer to solo it. I had a hard time getting a group just to kill Zhaitan for PS and don’t want to have to deal with that again. I hope Anet completely ignores your request.
I’ve come to notice that our characters during the living world and even the second half of our personal story that focus tends to abandon us. It seems like we are just there but aren’t needed at all, in other words we’re like a 3rd wheel that has no use. When playing the living world story it seems like the npc’s are only talking to each other and completely ignoring us like we aren’t even there then ask us on what course of action to go about.
Just give our characters more of a place and actually include them more in the storyline so I don’t feel like an outsider among the others.
How can Rytlok free Ascalon from its curse? For that they need Ruric’s sword and it was lost in the Volcano on Ring of Fire Island chain at the end of Prophecies in GW1? How were they able to reclaim it?
I’ve always been curious on this as the way GW2’s cinematics are is absolutely terrible. In GW1 they flowed well with the storyline and didn’t take you away from anything but instead made you feel more in-depth. Although the ending cinematic for Living Story: Episode 2 was good why can’t you go back to doing them the way they were in GW1?
GW2 could not survive as a sub based game.
No game will ever survive as a sub based MMO, at least in the western market.
WoW, EvE and Final Fantasy are pretty much the only sub games that still survive as P2P, ESO and Wildstar will become F2P soon or later (specially ESO).
Runescape thrives as a sub based MMO and has from its beginning.
No thanks, I hope Anet ignores your post
I’d love for my guardian to have a cape, if the Charr are the main issue than I say release it for all but the Charr race.
Margonite
I know they only were used in GW: Nightfall but they’re are such an interesting race and a campaign based on them would be awesome.
Are these NPC’s supposed to be Guild Wars 2’s version of Devona, Cynn, Aidan, Mhenlo, and Eve?
It’s time for a major project to be released and I’m not talking about the terrible Living Story skits. Since killing Zaitan there has been no actual continuation of the storyline and the game has grown stale because of it. Release a campaign style continuation already!
I miss Cantha and am dying to see what it looks like now and how it has been. When will we get to return to a lot of people’s favorite continent?
I can’t wait for season 2 either but for the others saying this game is dying I will sort of agree with you. I love GW1 and was po’ed that they changed so much with GW2 but I’ve gotten over it. I actually like this game and after playing this I just can’t get into GW1 anymore. The only thing I wish they would bring back is heroes/henchmen as most groups want experienced players when it comes to dungeons so it is sometimes hard to get into a group so bring them back would help a lot.
Maybe your gear just sucks as I’m a guardian and I can kill monsters quite quickly, even vets, underwater with no problems.
With XP support ending, won’t it be risking or put my computer at risk for viruses if I run it in XP mode? I have full protection but still.
I know this is a gw2 forum but I’m asking it anyway. Will Guild Wars 1 be made compatible with Windows 8? It seems to lag extremely badly and play badly as well since buying my gaming laptop with Win 8 on it so I know my OP is its cause as GW2 plays flawlessly. Even though you basically abandoned your original can you at least make it more compatible with the latest OP as I still enjoy playing it.
All the servers suck so you might as well choose any
All you have to do is help kill the vet and keep the champion busy for 10-20 secs
