Thief is OP and the best, mash 1 3 shot
mesmer is close second, but much harder to play
These two classes are very op, even in WvW, they are worse, either perma stealth + 1 shots, or millions of clones + 1 shots, how these classes made it out of beta is astonishing
Depends on situation, dont care about the OP thieves during keep sieges which is 90% of WvW, elementalist kitten aoe spam takes the skill of a monkey and can end up killing half your zerg if its well placed
How are bunkers ruining tPvP? This doesn’t even make sense to me. You can’t blame people for building tanky when the whole objective of tPvP is capping and holding points. If anything, 5 people on one team all thinking they can roam is ruining (pug) tPvP.
Even Jonathan Sharp can agree on the bunker thing. Bunkers are so effective that they rule out the use of some pure glass cannons. Bunkers are supposed to be countered by glass cannons with their raw burst that can overcome their defenses. Right now the answer to holding a point is BUNKERS BUNKERS BUNKERS. This in no way promotes team variety. Especially when at a given time one bunker may be more effective than another, meaning if you want to run ultimate cheese then you need to run 2 of those bunkers, or maybe 1 with a soft bunker like a portal mesmer.
Pretty sure condition builds with armor ignoring bleeds and healing reducing poisons are suppose to counter bunkers, burst builds are suppose to kill condition builds before they can stack bleeds
In pve, you can get by with proper use of the phantasms
In WvW is where this class truely shines, not even elementalist comes close to a well placed feedback and improved Warden, which stops the dps of the entire enemy zerg and makes them hit themselves
In spvp, we already know they are OP, but not as OP as thieves

I dont know what game you are coming from or what notion you have, but condition mesmers in this game do damage with sharper image bleeds and sharper image bleeds only, nothing to do with confusion at all
Thieves are a mess in the game right now, alot of people complained about stealth and thought gw2 was the savior because it features short bursts of stealth, but it ended up being even more OP than WoW rogues because you can fight WHILL stealthed and 3 shot people whill being untargetable and its the most pathetic balancing ive ever seen in a game ever
It really IS killing the game and pvp, because no one is playing 7 of the 8 classes in pvp, thieves are just too OP and easy to play atm

As a thief, i know this profession is overpowered, both as playing one and playing against them, the ability to 3 shot geared players whill remaining completely stealthed and basically having perma swiftness is just too much for one class
As a thief, for the greater good and balancing of the game, this class needs its damage or stealth nerfed, to make thief what its suppose to be, a skill based class
Is this a joke? or you have never WvW before? if you tab target in WvW all you are going to get targeted is one of the many beasts and illusions that charge in infront of all the players
Thief is the best WvW class, with braindead bouncing aoes and if you do get targeted just stealth away and make the enemy waste their time on you, thief has lower range because they are the kings of close range damage and are unkillable with stealth, its like complaining guardians dont get ele staves

1. Feedback does nothing to daggerstorm, daggerstorm is not a projectile attack
2. Daggerstorm cripples and does tons of damage, smart thieves only use it when they have a zerg behind their back, which is 100% of the time in WvW
3. There’s no counter to it, which is why all good thieves spam it whenever its up
4. Thieves are ez mode which is why i rerolled one and am OP at level 23 with 75% crit rate and unkillable with short bow out
The engies best role is sieging, with grenades people arent standing on the walls hiting your team, they just simply arent, at 1500 range spaming bleed grenades no one will last more than 5 seconds on the wall, another thing you can do is support the melees hiting the door or using the ram with the formula trait that makes elixirs cure conditions, just throw elixirs on the melee mob when you see them geting conditioned, or just stand on the door and cure yourself/people around you when they get hit by poison/bleeds
Just chasing people with perma swiftness from speedy kits and spaming rifle 1 is pretty much enough to net a kill on anyone who doesnt have perma stealth
JQ is going to dominate now, they have alot of DAOC vets from the start, and a zerg of daoc vets is going to beat a zerg of WoW players who dragged on the coattailes of TA
Looks like i was right, Henge is geting dominated, time to return to my home server
they have plenty of aoe, you just have to not target a dying mob
its really not a big deal at higher level
invest 20 points into the healing tree, and reduce the cooldown of focus skills, whill also making iWarden a beast
get the food that gives you 20% boon duration, and throw some points into the boon duration tree, this synergizes well with the spec because you get regeneration and protection passives
you can have swiftness up 13ish seconds every 20 seconds, and then use blink on cooldown to travel a bit further
and sorry, the mesmer cant afford to lose any utility slots like a thief, who can just 3 shot you whill remained in stealth, mesmer has to actually earn kills with carefull manipulation of illusions and lots and lots of kiting

I find engineer superior to the other class in general gameplay, because my kits dont incure a cooldown when i switch between them and my weapon, so when i switch to grenade kit i can immediatly go back to rifle and then to med kit
And since engineers have such solid traits that syngerize really well with kits and your toolbelt abilities i dont feel like we are missing abilities, if feel like engineer has actualyl mroe flexability that most other classes thanks to having basically twice as many skills and no cooldown on weapons swap/kit swaps
Simple fix, nerf all kit damage by 5%, but kits use the stats of your weapon
Why do i lose 120 toughness and vitality when switching to my kit, when no other class has this when they switch weapons?
nope just more idiotic statments, engineer is better in spvp than ranger/necro/ even warriors if played right
they are best suited for WvW, gotta love grenade and perma swiftness
You act as if any role is nothing more than a weird damage dealer, no matter what spec you play you are nothing more than a damage dealer with a gimmick, it was dumbed down for the masses and basically its a button masher with short cooldowns
The power of mesmer in gw2 comes in pvp, where confusion does massive burst and feedback destroys zergs, you really feel like something far more powerfull than a gw1 mesmer or anything ive seen really in WvW as a mesmer, being able to litterally control the battlefield with your reflects and barriers
Stop crying about nothing, Mesmer is a burst movment class with some of the most OP downed state in the game, you dont have perma swiftness because you have instant 900 range boost, guess whats going to save you in PVP, swiftness that gets cut in half in pvp or stealth + clone + 900 range teleport?
Id rather be more slippery in combat than just have more out of combat movment, if anything they should be complaining about us
Orbs…are overrated.
Wrong, orbs make glass cannons iron cannons
If you are melee and not built tanky you are doing it wrong, i always see good melee basically controlling the battlefield, as the entire enemy zerg will try to take them down and are never able to
Engineer rifle spells and warrior rifle spells seem to be backwards.

Eng has more hard CC on the rifle, and far more burst, thats why its closer range, with traits the eng rifle is far superior to the warriors rifle
Engineer i find worst overall class, but best class for myself, it has like one good build, completely useless turrets and majority of utility skills are unusable or have giant downsides like knocking your self down or having random effects that might not give you what you need, and only one good elite worth using
If it werent for grenades i would not be playing this class, nerf grenades and im rerolling, thats how bad it is, the other classes simply just dont compare to the state of the engineer atm, and being the most unpopular class in the game pretty much proves my point
I see elementalist just siting in fire and destroying things, they are definetly in a good state right now, sure they are glass cannon but you knew what you were geting into, the elementalist is not a tank, and their versatility and mobility makes up for their survivability

There’s no chaos, just bad dps players who only know how to get carried by other players, really you just cant do anything yourselves, and puting you all together in a dungeon well god save you
When casuals get into mists of pandas and can simply hit looking for retarrds button and get free epics you arent going to see much activity left in GW2, better add a casual mode that hands out free exotics whill giving a hardcore mode for titles and such
Casuals are fickle, they wont wait around for you to fix things, now, DO IT NOW
Face it, the naga razer is the only thing that makes this class bareable

yeah, generally it is a piece of crap, but without a mouse with buttons on it this class just feels terrible

Is it so hard to have one guaranted effect, with a short random secondary effect that lasts a miniscule amount of seconds? random is terrible and not fun, why not make thieves randomly throw ice cream cones instead of knives, why not have warriors sing justin beiber songs instead of shout? thats certainly how i feel when i get stability instead of stealth when geting mobed by 200 enemies, or swiftness instead of protection when im rooted

If i didnt have my naga and wasent able to switch into my med kit and grenade kit and use all my abilities with just the slight motion of my thumb i wouldnt be playing this class, I do not like the thought of the amount of mashing on my 1-10 keys and not being able to strafe or do anything because of having to extend my hand all over the place just to do a simple kit swap
I think this is the reason so many people hate this class, get a razer naga and learn how to use it, and you will feel OP
no on the targeting, because that is what your rifle or pistol is for
however i think the flight time needs to be buffed on grenades because they are almost impossible to land at 1500 range, having a ranged weapon that never hits anything at all when using it at max range is kind of pointless, also they need to use weapon stats or else you mineaswell remove legendary weapons from engineers who stay in kits
full glass cannons are doing it wrong, unless you are just steam rolling the other side, in a even battle the team with the best balance of stats is going to come out on top every time, you are no good to your team if you get hit once and are running away for cover trying to heal
if you want to do big damage you have to be 80 its as simple as that, 80 armor sets are just ridicuously powerful compared to level 20 and 30 sets as they give twice as many unique stats per gear piece, and then there’s the matter of traits
i fail to see how its casual, at all, with people losing massive amounts of silver on repairs if they are on a bad server trying to fight the good fight, and the massive amounts of gold competetive guilds are paying to dominate with keep upgrades
if anything anet is trying to cover up the huge amounts of hardcore players that are paying to win by using gems to fund their keep upgrades, cause they sure arent geting that money from farming because they are in wvw everyday siting in their keeps that have hundreds of cannons and reinforced walls
My opinion: Underpowered Engineer - It is realy bad at pvp and pve

yeah engineer is so bad, is that why you see one in every competetive spvp team? is that why my engineer 3 shots 3+ people at once from 1500 range in WvW, is that why i 3 shot packs of mobs with a bomb spec, dont see any of my other bretheron doing such things on there rangers and guardians
maybe its just that this class takes alot of skill to play, isent a dodo brain class like the warrior or guardian, and actually requires you to be more than a monkey hiting buttons on a keyboard randomly
the only problem i have is with clunky rifle abilities and abilities that miss if someone isent standing directly infront of you and you decide to strafe at the last minute and you get “miss”

Lol 15 seconds on all your stances makes elementalist flow? Good luck with that, i find grenades and bombs with no cooldown timer on switching far better for synergy than a elementalist, enjoy siting in fire/staff all day because thats all they are good for at endgame, and even that is subpar dps
