I’ve read that hang gliders will not be usable outside of the new map. If so…then this addition makes the new stuff seem very superficial instead of expanding on the core gameplay. It would be nice to be able to visit old vistas and just hang glide your way down. I really hope all the other mastery skills that supposedly help you travel faster will apply to places outside of the new maps.

Most if not all skills can be used at the start of a jump animation just like jump dodging, but this is probably not practical for many players.
An example of this that I use most often is warrior greatsword 3. You can jump whirlwind from the windows to the middle point in Clocktower at Battle of Khylo to contest the point 2-3 seconds earlier. You hit jump then whirlwind about 1/60th of a second later. This works for me because I use instant cast, so I’m not sure how well this will work for people who use the targetting reticules.

under certain scenarios neither skill connects or lands when they should and are within range. Bull charge will also land sometimes and fail to knock the target down has nothing to do with aegis or stability situations.
The only time my skill has missed is if the target takes multiple sharp directional changes or end up behind me, which in that case he deserved to dodge my skill. If rush or bulls charge was guaranteed to land 100% no matter what the target did as long as he was in range, that kitten would be OP as kitten.
If you have the timing and positioning down for using this skill, it’s super strong. I have no complaints. Working as intended.
Edit: The skill kittens up on some PVE mobs. It will have the running animation but the attack never comes out even if you’re right in front of your target and eventually comes to a stop. Works fine in PvP though.
The thing is its one thing if someone dodges the skill its another thing if they unintentionally make some wonky directional change. Because its very difficult to make some intentional wonky direction change with intention of avoiding the skill when they could just dodge it. Thats why I disagree with you in your opinion that they deserve not to be hit by it and it should bug out. Please don’t try to defend ANET by using this logic. It only hurts us and the game. I could apply your logic to almost every skill in the game and say its OP if it lands all the time if the criteria is met for it to land.
It shouldn’t be us vs them but its getting to the point ANET intentionally ignores and refuses to fix bugs that hurt us and only want to fix bugs that help us.
You can’t apply that logic to every skill in the game cuz not every skill runs up to the target and then have a slow startup on the attack part. Other skills will hit regardless of the target positioning, of course unless they are obstructed/dodged/out of range. This skill not only runs up to the target, there is a startup animation on the attack portion where you are rooted and within that startup period, it’s possible for the enemy to avoid it if they move out of the hitbox. It’s like avoiding PVE mob skills that have a startup.
Didn’t take a screenshot, but I’ll run the build again tonight and get a screen.

Bull’s rush is still bugged too…Still running right through them..
I’ve never run past anyone with bull’s charge. You might’ve lost target.
Haven’t felt an issue with rush for a while now. Rush is amazing
For the sake of the pvp community…please don’t just put a bunch of random teams up. That’s going to be boring as hell to watch. I want to see top teams competing for top 8 instead of random kitten teams that no one knows or cares about who might or might not be good.

You’ve got a bolas on a 5sec immob on a short CD. Since you’re always going to be in the guys face, this is pretty easy to land. If they somehow randomly dodge your shield bash, you can still hit your eviscerate afterwards. If you do land the shield bash then its a free eviscerate if they dont blind. If they dodge that, you still got bolas -> 100b. Autoattacks are strong on both GS and axe so spam those. Get them low and when you see the heal animation, pop your fear to interrupt. It’s great for interrupting guardians’ Shelter (block heal) since its unblockable and it forces their heal into a full CD. You’ve got 1 full condi cleanse on your elite, so use it wisely.
Pretty much do safe stuff and don’t blow all your CDs in 1 go. Try to get a reaction out of your enemy by autoattacking, throwing your axe etc and if they dodge, congrats you just got yourself a higher chance to land a big damage combo. Your damage is probably going to be 50% from eviscerate, 30% from auto attacks, 40% from the rest of your GS skills.

You can also bring Fear Me to interrupt his shelter since it’s unblockable.
I’ve actually had the exact opposite experience. Sometimes when trying to hit the BC → 100b combo, the BC would hit but the target ends up being too far for 100b to connect.
The slots for the catcher skins are there in the PvP locker, but you can’t deposit it. You can’t even drag them into the slot manually. When will this be fixed??
I don’t think there’s been a single warrior build I’ve played that didn’t use this trait. They should make 5s swap CD an innate thing for the warrior mechanic.
The PvP versions of the catcher skins and the new toxic mantle and gloves are all not depositable into the PvP locker.
Has this issue already been addressed?
Pressing 5 should activate rush, but they should allow you to press 5 again anytime to activate the attack part of it.
you have to consider the fact that even if you think you are getting worse, you are getting better, the higher you get the more you need to use your skills at exacly the right moment…give or take some balance issues….
The fact alone you are making this topic proves that at some time you will outplay a lot of classes later on… you are just taking the first steps to instead of spamming skills to use them at the right time…I can only say keep practising….

Also, keeping an eye on your minimap, the location of your teammates, their health bars, and the icons of downed enemies will help you determine if you need to help them out or work on the next play.

The conquest game mode we have is good enough. This mode should be the official tournament game mode.
Any other game modes you guys come up with, I’d suggest clumping them all up into 1 thing like Tomb of Primeval Kings from GW1. To advance to Hall of Heroes (whatever mode this may be) you will have to win the previous game modes against other teams. The winning team of HoH should then be broadcasted to the global chat + whatever rewards.
Bringing up other classes doesn’t necessarily mean you have to make everything stronger. Instead of adjusting numbers alone, you can adjust the mechanics of a skill. I would like to see more traits getting combined and add new traits.

This is true. Bring the other classes up and you got more build diversity. Give them more access to stability and you’ll probably hear less complaints about getting stunlocked. Once you start nerfing the classes, you risk them not being viable anymore such as ele.
I agree warriors are S tier atm and maybe that’s what ANET wants. I also feel that the warriors need to be able to clear those condis to be effective, though. If other classes had more access to stability that would definitely even things out.
I remember playing against a team last night that had 4 warriors and a 1 necro and we won that one. They barely got 100 score iirc.
If the warrior is standing on a point that’s his, I wouldn’t bother trying to kill him unless you have another person with you considering both of you are at least semi competent.
The bug with scorpion wire only knocking down and not pulling needs to be fixed. I’m tired of not being able to pull people into the glass because of this.
Very nicely done videos! My gf who plays mesmer decided to try sword/torch after seeing this :p. She’s always used sword/focus or sword/pistol so this is something new to her. Thanks for doing this!

I’ve always hated that there was culling in this game. This game never felt like a ‘real’ MMO to me because of that. Now that it’s finally been removed, does the game look 100 times better?? At work so I can’t see for myself
Couple of ideas I had thought of for warriors that would make them more fun. Maybe the devs will actually take some of our ideas and use em.
Greatsword
Hundred Blades – Projectile finisher in fields + reflect. If used in fields, will fling out projectiles like the ele’s fiery greatsword. If you are fighting someone ranged and you just can’t get in close, you can use it to reflect their projectiles.
Whirlwind attack – Allow this move to be charged. If charged full can go 900-1200 distance.
Arcing Slice – Rework the animation. Have the warrior jump up and slice down on his enemy and do damage depending on how many boons he’s got. Unblockable.
Balanced Stance – Stability + immune to all cripple, chill, immob for the duration of stance.
Anyone else got opinions on what would make the warrior more fun. Please do not take this too seriously

That longbow 3 swap greatsword 3 has some scary aoe burst damage…
Please add the ability to hide chest/gloves/leggings/boots armor pieces as well…
Right now, I have to play without equipping any chest armors or gloves, because I like my character more when he’s topless.

Nevermind. Even though I had 100% I still had to go into Chantry of Secrets to end it. I got the rewards now.
