I’m also with Maskaganda. When I saw the change to Toss Elixir U I was almost extatic!
I love this idea! Make it happen Arena.net!
If you’re running a support build with Elixir Gun, it shares a lot of traits with Flamethrower. Granted, there aren’t many reasons to run a support build, but if you do, FT and EG have a lot of synergy when used together.
Ok let me rephrase that, 95% of pugs of lvl 35 with blue/green gear can’t do AC exp
First of all, how did you get that percentage? Have you run some statistics or did you just made that number up?
In any case: if people are not willing to gear up for a dungeon then they deserve to fail. You expect rares at a minimum from a level 80, so it’s logical to assume that you would expect greens from a level 35 that wants to run that explo.
I have been cheering for you guys, but only had the time to see the video now. Great job!
If you have any doubts, check this page out:

You should have no trouble doing up to level 28 with that much resistance. No trouble with agony that is, the other stuff however…
I switched to healing gear on my engineer on that fight. Everyone was just standing in the healing circles and aoeing away (2 eles, a thief and a ranger). Didn’t even need a revive.
I didn’t make any specific tests, I just assumed that it was 20% as stated. Also, it’s pretty easy to test:
1. Ask a bunch of ranged characters with 20% projectile finishers to help.
2. Drop Super Elixir.
3. Make them shoot through the field.
4. Hearts everywhere!
Very easly done in the Karka Farming Cove, just find a minizerg and drop Super Elixir right in front of them.
I wish more people would heed MeateaW’s advice on quickcast. In fact I use it for eeeverything and it’s great.
Elixir gun is bugged in a slightly different way then you describe. Super Elixir removes 1 condition with the initial splash. Also you will see a “Condition Removal” heart every time you fire, even if it doesn’t actually work.
New engineer kit in the February patch
RNG Kit : all 5 skills can give you any of all the skills in the whole game at random.
Let’s call it Slot Machine Kit. While on cooldown, you would see various skills spinning on your bar, and once the cd is over you will see what skill you’ve randomed out :P
As with other turrets, your stats don’t affect mortar at all. Elite Supplies is the only way to buff it.
With support there’s more then one way to skin the cat, but if you mean support as in healing then no. In fact your healing turret can be more of a liability if there’s someone else in the team that has a lot of healing power. Because regeneration stacks duration, your untraited healing can “block” someone else’s regeneration from ticking.
As for stats, I would juggle the crit damage a bit. Unless you’re going full berserkers, you should never use critical damage on: helms, pants, rings and back item (ascended items are an exception). I would just put them on jewels and use something else for your trinkets.
I’m not surewhat “4-key combo” means exactly, I would assume that he set up a field bomb from the bomb kit to use with the healing turret.
Depends, if you’re just questing and mucking about then using turrets is a-ok, provided you enjoy it. Personally, I didn’t like the fact that I had to move them all the time. In WvW and dungeons they die nearly instantly to random aoe damage, so it’s not even a distraction for your enemies. I can’t comment on PvP as I’m not any good at it.
With that said, you can give it a spin. If you can make it work – great, and post your results if you do. If you can’t, well that really answers your own question :P

If you think you absolutely need ascended gear at all to play effectively, feel you have to strive towards efficiency to maximize your (make-belief) gains and play games for many reasons, but certainly not for fun – yes, your original post makes a lot of sense.
Oh please. Just because he enjoys a different facet of the game then you doesn’t mean he is “certainly” not having fun. Min-maxing is popular with certain people exactly because they enjoy it.
If this was implemented, our elite slot would basicly become a glorified second weapon slot – that’s pretty underwhelming since every other class except the elementalist has those for free.
With a mixture of knights/PTV armor and zerker jewelry I feel I run a very nice balance of defense and offense.
Just curious: since you’re emphasising condition damage so much, wouldn’t it make sense to use rampagers instead of berserkers?
This question comes at a bad time because AoE damage is about to be nerfed across the board, which obviously includes the grenade kit. Until this point I was using it effectively in dungeons but I would wait for the patch notes before making any decisions.
Thanks a lot for your hard work!
A tip I wanted to share: if you are using Med Kit as your healing skill, your main source of healing will be coming from Bandage Self which is a toolbelt skill. If you combine it with the Inertial Converter trait, it will instantly recharge every time you go below 25% health.
Ticket number: 120903-005271
On 9/1 I bought a character slot for 800 gems. After some time the gems were removed, but until now I did not receive any character slots. I’ve waited 2 days before submitting a ticket, so I’m waiting 5 days total now.
