Mesmers and Thieves are the easiest class to beat for me on my Warrior.
I use Axe/Shield, Bolas/Bull/EP – leg specialist, shield reflect.
Secondary is rifle for finishing runners.

vs D/D Thief.
Sblock/EP the combo of death, rest of fight is about landing Evis and keeping him rooted, if he shadowsteps away pop Rifle and Volley. Easiest fight of my life.

vs P/D Thief.
Reflect sneak attack, laugh.
When he’s under revealed, throw axe or bull + Evis + 1 till death.
Heal if the fight gets longer.

vs P/P Thief.
Reflect Unloads, boom10kevisyouredeadthinghy, yawn.

vs S/D Thief.
Break daze with EP and throwaxe10kevisgotowaypointbro.
If it fails swap to Rifle and use channeled skills as they will kill him during stealth.

vs Mesmer.
AoE or Sblock clones, bait decoy, throw axe -> BOOM 10K EVIS, bolas, 2, 11111, bull when needed.
EP if he spawns more clones to prevent a second shatter.

/facepalm that would never work vs a real Mesmer not the people that just jump on and selected the purple guy at the start of the game… any thing beats them type of players

I’m talking about a person that know when to use there ability’s reactivly.. witch is what Mesmer does best

buffed out the kitten and with map buffs Plus the target was 100% naked with debuffs on….. not a realistic setting, nothing to see here move along

hehe, Bunkers what every, DPS ok?, support roamer its all “OP” in the eyes of the unskilled it all comes down to meta and what people have experience with a good player is well rounded in all areas of a game.

if you cant kill a bunker make a bunker research everything you can about them become a bunker and you “can” beat them on a none bunker class. same with any class or role in this game or any games i have every played yet.

If you disagree your the newb im talking about!

i would like to have both point take system and arena team fighting pvp the more option i have the more time i spend playing, not every system of pvp has to be tournament used. but the more system we have i that we already know have worked in other games =more opportunity for fun.

except the 3v3, that really was a 4v3 for the first 20 sec and the 4th guy was like im gonna go cap a point and after the first guy in the 3v3 died the 4th guy come back to help take it over and the guy that died gets back into to also jump in to keep it a 3v3 even if the team in a real 3v3 model would have won by now is still fighting a recycled 3v3+1-1+1-1-1-1=WIN

No your wrong and ill tell you why, a game that wants to focus on competitive pvp with an e-Sports MMO’s need to stay away from every thing the thief is right now.

for the record let me just say i as a Guardian will DESTROY thief’s i will kill 2 at the same time very, very, easy.

yet i still think from an unbiased view point and only one that wants this game to be better as a whole.. i think thifes damage " Across the board need to be dropped 10% to 20% depending on the ability and then the ability for them to take hits be brought up about 10% to 20% as it stand i see thief insta gibb people like Mesmer is 1.8 sec ….

then latter a thief attacks me and i gibb him in 1.8 sec that just don’t make for a fun formula for strategic high lvl tournament play a 10/20 to 10/20 drop would still give the thief very powerful damage and at the same time allow the fight to stage out in what will still be a quick fight but a more strategic fight!

Now i also think there are a few other thing from other class also that need to be fixed
in all there are 3 Major things that once changed will be pretty good off to start some ranked competitive pvp!

P.S. a 10 /20% damage drop would still give them the best burst in the game because of the way initiative works! its so front heavy if that’s were you want to dump it..

nope elementalist are very easy to kill as a guardian, they stand no chance at killing me at all………… It don’t matter if your a professional gamer with sponsors. you would have no chance at killing me on my guardian. you can spec Bunker so i cant kill you ether but that about it. but thats only good on Kylo(treb) because other wize bunker elly vs bunker guardian im not looking to kill you i just want to push you around and steal the point i kinda hope you stay at the point with me…

but dps elly no way save Stability for the charging knock down so thay dont combo you, and out side that just look at the ground and don’t stand in the fire lol.. but if you get hit me 1 or lol 8 hit you will prob be ok just heal you have all day to recover

and the Earth thing they load up and tele-port onto you… count to 4 and dodge your gonna evade it 90% of the time

i think elly’s need a damage buff or a change on how they execute there big hitting abilitys…. and lol fix the down state but we all know they are gonna do that already.

And no i dont play an elly iv never played on one but my friend does as his main and i am trying to talk him into going engi because he kicks kitten on his engi but he is better on his elly the class just does not compare to engi!!

there is like nothing they can do vs good players the prep is too easy to avoid and the damage pay off for the prep time is weak at best…..

they do best at points AoE when a bad team is not looking.

all you do to counter this is attack him if he is squish then kill him because his damage will be good in a nod team fight if ignored..

if he is tank get off him he is not gonna be largely effective kill the next most squish dps…

Its simple, Guardians are good.. like every class in every game there are people that have shutters on and think they are Great and if they cant kill every one or (anyone ) the class is broken.

I like all 3 ideas, the the beam is a great idea and would look cool also.. and the symbol idea is a great one also almost a no drainer it should have released like this.

But now it will never be like this because you said it first and they have to much pride to take this idea now =)

so enjoy your slow blue balls that never seem to explode when you want them too!

Shouts isnt a must imo, if you pull hold the line you get 5*72*2 in incoming heals. Yeah thats kind of bad, altruistic builds are all about small portions over time.

The best heal we have is empowering on the staff and symbols that tick boons per second, the second best heal is empowering might and vigorous precision which heals on crit. Virtues if inspired virtue is traited are also better heals then shouts.

I can see an AH build with smite left as a conditionremover/aoe (more crits and heals :-)) in massive battles in wvw.

There are other valid builds built on crits if you are interested. The main healing from altruistic healing isnt from shouts. AH scales really bad which makes it in favor for a toughness/crit/pov builds imo, in other builds its a nice addition but not neccessary.

Your not getting the shout for the heals that is a nice side effect the shouts are to craft your guardian glass canon build into a great tank with 100% up time on protection and because you got shouts to hold protection down witch will now allow you to sport the Zerker amulet and jewel and be as tank heavy as a soldiers amulet equipped guardian with the crit and crit damage of a glass canon.o now that you have all the extra shouts you are taking Altruistic Healing! and this is what makes ability’s like Empowering might strong!..

you got the zerkers amulet your gonna crit a lot you have about 13oo to 1400 toughness (use Earth rune X6 )
you will get alot of healing from Emp M

And no Virtues don’t heal for more than shout or are goign to make you strong , its nice if you have a bunker build to have the 5 point in that to use it yes. but a a 6 sec pro on a 85 sec cool-down or a 10 sec regin on 57 sec cool-down is gonna be better than
is better than 19 sec of regin with a max of 48 sec cool down
and 17 sec of prot with a max of 48 sec cool-down

Yes GS with 20 points in honor and 30 into valor is amazing healing and boon stacking. with II,VIII honor and at least Xi in Valor.

I run a DPS build with shouts and because of how much i crit and how many Boons i pass around Altruistic Healing gvies me an kitten LOAD of healing far far more than my Med build did at 2k a med …

In my bunker spec my "Save your self " utility ability is healing me for a total of 5.8k health, but thats also part because SyS gives you Ageist and it is healing me for about 800 Plus the HoT i get heals me for 298 a tick evey sec and all the boons it procs heal me,! And my VoR makes for a very strong 10 sec of Healing per sec of about 550 health per sec i keep up 24/7 so in 4 sec i can heal myself for 2k ……… 2.2k really that sure beats the Med heal build and its a shout so your alli get some extra buffs also

I’m sorry. I meant to point out this build specifically. I’ll edit that.

You don’t even need to edit it because thieves damage as a whole is to high the whole class with get a 10 to 15 % damage nerf across the board. Backstab is just the largest glaring problem………..

even if they need to make them 10 to 20% tankier i would be cool with that because the game needs to have longer fights vs thieves for this to be an…… lol …. e-Sport?

I agree Zin, i think MMO’s main thing to keep people playing are the ever changing game that you get with an MMO. but in the world of e-Sports thats not what you want AT ALL. if you get a system that works or is balance you want very slow controlled changes once they do come to pass.

But an MMO in its self can’t work like this. its not GW2 its the MMO format. But if any MMO was to do it…. I would think it could have been GW2!

If you actually want the game to become an e-Sport then you need to remove this boon.

Not modify it. Not reduce the damage. Remove it. Because passive damage reflect has absolutely no place in any competitive game.

wow only 10k damage in 47 hits that’s not very good at all that’s like 227 damage per hit and looking at his other damage dealt its all pretty bad that wimpy 227 extra damage you gave him still prob made him fall short, way short

my guardian would have hit you more than twice that hard.

you think that’s bad try and AoE in a 5v5 group fight with retal on everyone.

So only Warrior is viable anymore in pvp?

I mean if you read the class forums you would think every single class stinks (including the Warrior forum).

Ele’s can’t compete
Rangers got their only viable PvP weapon set destroyed
Thieves while still doing somewhat ok have been nerfed every single patch
Engineers can’t pve worth a crap and only pvp but still gets rolled by good Warriors
Guardians got their greatsword nerfed and now they say they stink
Mesmers just got rick rolled
Necros have always had issues since day 1

Only the Warrior class has not seen the nerf bat and can do it all in both PvE and PvP the whole time laughing at all the other classes.

So perhaps everyone (and I mean everyone) should just play Warriors and nothing else and maybe just maybe Anet will finally say something or do something besides nerfing every class but the Warrior.

Yet if you ask any “good” player witch class they would NOT want in there 5’s they would say Warrior. because warrior are bad they are going ether support/bunker or Roam/DPS…….

and other classes do it better. hand down!

the only other reason you would run a warrior is if the player is good a pro warrior is better than a crappy (insert class here)..

but in the current meta game professional vs professional the warrior class falls short.

if you think the warrior is good its because you spend to much time in skrimm’s! Don’t do that skrimm strats make you a bad player.

doing some skrimms is “ok” like eating cake on your birthday. just don’t go to the store and buy cake for lunch every day!

I do agree the large Cool-down added to SoW to combat Retaliation was not the best way to fix retal it had very little effect on retaliation. Partly because i dont know if A-net knows what the current meta is for Guardians being they are super busy working on the game.

they need to employ people like me to work for them and do just that.

It is just as good as it was be for if you focus on the change your going to instill in your head its bad when the bigger picture is a guardian is a lot for any profession to handle u may think man this nerf is KILLING me, But if you were to get in the mind of your enemy! fighting a “skilled” guardian is no picnic

the balance to GS was not the one thing that made you a bad guardian if you think you are not doing well on your guardian because of this “nerf” its prob because you were never good to start.

that is not a direct comment to anyone here, but more of a rule of thumb.

What class would that be because i see every class the same amount if you added up how often you see every class over the span of 100 games you would see a 5% different from most seen to least seen class.

Who gives a crap about SoW, Ramza for people that play guardian as a real main and not jumped on one for a few hours, the kitten moving ability’s around on the GS is annoying will i get the hang of the new hot key setup……………. yeah…. ok sure…

but if i had my legs blown off i would also learn to get by without them don’t mean i want it to happen.

Now Anet would be a good sport and make the scepter effective or at least a chance to hit at the rang it had as listed.

Common Anet fair is fair we let you do us in the butt with the GS change!

Now pay up and give us that scepter fix-in!

I play a guardian, don’t say warriors and thief’s are on the same playing field..
Warrior are a joke, a thief can do damage! A warrior,? well iv never seen them deal damage be for.

a warrior can dps/roam and support bunker… but why take a warrior for any of them roles ?
want Melee dps take a thief hell take a shout spec guardian that is really strong

want a bunker take a guardian,engi or elly be for a warrior any day of the week

Hmmm, with all the info all over the internet about things like this. i would say this post is pointless..

yes crit is a huge deal id say if you want to be a hyper aggressive guardian and still be tanky stack precision and power and Shockley don’t stack toughness rather stack into keeping protection boon up you can keep protection boon up 24/7 with the right spec/ items and protection is = to 900 toughness so because of this you really can afford more crit to makeup for the extra tank. any guardian that does this right now is a power house..

that is all the secrets im gonna give leave the best part for you to find out on your own =)

I like this but from my Exp it don’t work like this my ‘Well-rounded build DESTROY bunker builds the easiest 1v1s for my well rounded guardian build is bunker specs the only bunker i don’t kill is an elly but that’s because they run away (off point ) so i already won because that was my goal to start with =)

im guessing this is a post talking about how Retal is still too strong , when if you take that pic and break it down it really shows how weak it is, and how thief’s ability to jump in and out of fight at will is too strong because you took 50 hits of retal 10,788 damage/50 is 215.76 that is very low for retal!

This being a bunker spec guardian with about 1500 power. you had to sit and beat on that bunker guardian untill you almost willingly got killed once that warrior jumped in to help kill you. if you were watching out for inc backup you could have left and that bunker guardian could not have stopped you 9 times out of 10. his main goal is to sit on that point like a hen on an egg.

In pvp : no good range weapon , in dungeons : you get only idiotic team that don`t know that you are there to protect and heal them , and don`t come into your bubbles , don`t stay behind your walls , when you cast tomb 30 skill point one and you say : CLOSER for full heal , they don`t understand why … so whats the point ? Are they gonna buff him , or what ?

Guardians are amazing very, very, very, strong in pvp, to lose a 1v2 on my guardian makes me mad because it don’t happen often at all! i dont do pve but as over the top powerful i am in spvp and in wvw i cant see how they cant be overpowers in pve the utility ability’s looks like a pve’s wet dream.

Retal shouldn’t even be in the game in the first place.

Passive damage reflect is the worst thing to add to any game.

Ill say i play a guardian and i also think Retal lasted to long, because when i think of confusion (same thing as retal"almost" ) it does not last close to as long as retal can but should they be taken out of the game na, retal is no more Stronger than condition damage that will passively deal damage for X time….

and like retal needs power to scale well, conditon need c-damage to scale well the only problem with retal is its very easy to keep up 100% of the time with very little investment.

Don’t want to give away too much because last time i talked about WS trait and how to keep it up 24/7 with nothing invested into it, it got nerfed….

so all ill say is the new way to keep it up 24/7 is almost just as investment free and just as good. the spec line allowed is also a little more narrow but wide enough for a fair amount of types of build to use it in this fashion!

i ran 2 builds last night with my group using this new build, and in my Bunker spec in 5’s i took out 2 100B’s warriors solo, on the 3rd match in 5’s and of course players in match 3 are better ( on average) than players in match 1 and 2 =p

I play necro, and I haven’t had people tell me off for it. Quite the opposite actually, if I pick up something else, I’m usually asked to play necro.

In my opinion, you’re being kicked for the way you play necro, not the class. Your build is…wrong. Lol. Alright well it’s not wrong (people will hound me and say there is no right or wrong way to play a class, even though for necro there is due to its complete limited gamestyle right now), but it’s not the most effective. If I had you on my team, I too would ask you to switch to something else. No offence.

Same my group runs Necro and he is one of them guys that if he tells me over TS he is gonna kill someone or get a point i know its prob gonna happen. been working for us so far

Aegis is for large hits and the retaliation you can trait it as a great counter part to fast burst hits because of aegis, its rare a HB’s warrior hits me and does more damage to me than it did to him. ageis/retal tag team

I don’t particularly think Guardians are that out of whack, but a Ranger Shortbow build stacking 25 bleeds on a Guardian is a bad idea if they have Retaliation up.

Er, um, yeah it is. Which is kinda’ why you make sure they don’t have it up before you unload your burst rofl.

Well, =) good luck with that my main is a guardian and you can not keep retal off of me you can strip my boons over and over and over and over again i will keep retal up 24/7 very easy and the retaliation boon is an after thought in my build. I’m not even specing heavily for it. aegis removal give you 10 sec of retal base if you get 10 points in virtues you can even get 25% extra retal bur + the 10% boon in that line making that retal 13.5 sec

so that first tier 1 Wrathful Spirit trait can give you MASSIVE retal

first hit in a fight pops aegis 13.5

then i pop save your self that give me another 13.5

PLUS Save yourself give you another agies thats another 13.5

then you can pop your aegis virtue thats another 13.5

then in my build i use stand your group thats another 6.2

that can add up to 60.2 sec of retal if i wanted to pop it all at once or pop it as need to i can be immune to boon removal. to make this work you only need 10 point in honor
and take Wrathful Spirit trait.

… How? Just dodge the bullsrush/HB and warrior class has been neutralized regardless of class or spec.

He is not talking about counter as in killing ( unless he thinks a warrior can 1v1 a guardian lol) he would mostly be talking about a hammer warrior can neutral a point, but even that is not a counter because its still not a sure thing this warrior is gonna out push a bunker guardian…….

Glass cannon or not, 11k in one hit is kind of absurd.

well if he got 0 toughness or armor and only focus on doing dmg he will also take more dmg it’s a dobble edge sword he’s playing with.

/facepalm to much damage is too much damage. the damage will be nerfed and once its been balanced! Your analogy will look a lot smarter. =)

you mean 916 toughness. but what would hit harder a rogue getting hit by evisc at 916 toughness or a warrior getting hit with Backstab at 1800+ toughness (at the same power of 2k and 60ish crit damage. well the rogue does, about 2k more at that!!!

Yes if you have 1.7k toughness at the time of that BS, then and for sure an 11k crit is total BS and should be nerfed and will this is not the first time we have seen a class with crazy high easy to get out numbers i played one in BWE 1 (Evisc Warrior with Sigil of doom 30% on next hit and Int 100% crit chance next hit, i was critically eviscerating ellys for 14k every 8sec with 3 bars of adrenalin all why i was a tank spec. it got a stick so will this just wait it out .

My recommendation to ArenaNet is to listen to complaints on the forums but don’t act on them yet. In every single multiplayer game, players complain about class imbalance and they are almost always wrong about it.

When Starcraft 2 first came out, everyone was crying that Terrans were op but Blizzard did not rush out and nerf/buff everything in sight. Eventually players developed new strats and learned to use their units to maximum potential.

The same applies to Guild Wars 2. I see a LOT of complaints about certain classes on these forums, particularly about thieves, mesmers and guardians. The solution isn’t to nerf them and buff the other classes – this will create a huge mess.

I play mostly as a dual pistol thief and I am on par with any other class in a 1v1 situation. Heartseeker and Pistol Whip are problems right? There are ways to avoid these.

Guardians are hard to kill depending on their build but that’s the point of the class! If they have a super tanky build they can’t out dps you!

Most players would agree that Elementalists, Engineers and Necromancers are weak classes right? I fought an Ele in a 2v1 (in my favor) battle multiple times and couldn’t take him down, even when I was playing as a thief.

I’m seeing more and more Engineers and they are dominating. I have a friend who plays as a Necromancer and actually plays it with a high level of skill. He could take me out in a 1v1 confrontation for sure.

TLDR: L2P.

Well in sc2 Terran is and was the best race still is and and when SC2 release terran was very strong until they ended up buffing the other 2 races. so this point is mute.

i did not read you whole post but i read the end and you attacked an elly speced defensively no doubt. well no one is crying that elly cant tank they are one of the most tanky class types in the game if spec’ed for it along side guardian and engi…

the prob with Elly “is” but not excluding ability’s like Dragons tooth were you have no to very little control as to if it will hit its target. this is not a fair factor for the elly. so the offensive elly has the right and should be looked at in this regard the support defense elly is fine, as far as we know.

as far as Necro and Engi being weak or bad,.. your getting that info from bad players don’t do that its not good for you.

if you asked anyone with a advanced gaming background they would tell you Necro is fine and Engi is fine, i think some things will be twink and changed with both necro and Engi,. but no more than i would think any other class will get changed. if i had to pick any class that i feel could be put in a better place would be warrior’s.

HB’s don’t cut it “Zing”=). i as a guardian feel sorry for warriors and HB’s stand out so bad its very easy to deal with now a days. Its the best burst spec they have anything else damage wise and its better to just take a Thief.

they can use 2 hand hammer but again its a second hand pick to another class like engi or guardian again.

For the last week I’ve seen pretty much 90% of the classes in all my sPVP games have been Mesmer/Guardian/Thief/Warrior. Occassionally you’ll see 1 of the other classes in a 8v8 game.

PVP simply isn’t fun anymore when half the classes aren’t even available because they simply suck compared to the top 4 classes who dominate them. There seriously needs to be some balancing, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Hehe, you made my day you put Warrior in the list of top 4 most OP class. its been pretty common knowledge, at least among the Hard Core folk’s that are in the 30’s+ in spvp that Warrior’s are the weakest class in Spvp. if i had to say top 4.. it would be

in my builds its not shield vs focus witch to drop its spec/shield and s/T or F witch to drop, in 5s the shield KB is amazing

It is just you. Mesmers are the only profession that can come close to thief mobility, and the only other profession I won’t have a >95 % catch rate on, but in the end they aren’t more mobile, especially if you’re running sword/shortbow.

Mesmer have the worst mobility in the game beside necros. Do you actually play one? One of the major disadvantages of a mesmer is that he cant kill people that run away. The only two options of a mesmer to close a gap are focus 5 and blink. No one uses focus in tPvP and blink is a stun breaker so you usually dont waste it on a running enemy.

If you manage to get out of range of a mesmer so he cant stun you with pistol (assuming that he uses it) you can just run away.

This is correct Mesmers mobility is below avrage they are good at keeping the fight in a select area but in WvW if the person runs the mesmer is not gonna be in the best place to keep on him like glue not at all. and in the target in B-lining to a keep in the distance the Mesmer’s shatters become worthless can cant keep up.

And yes im sure we have all kill people in WvW on a Mesmer as they run or even died to one as we ran away but every dog has his day, yall. ;-)

my browser just locked up after typing this huge post so ill just sum up what i was gonna say, aside from Back stab i think the thief as a whole does to much damage vs other glass canon specs i see. and they have more survivability than most Glass Canon. if my team wanted me to roll a dps roll in my 5’s i can say ATM i would gladly pick a Thief or Mesmer over a warrior.

and if ANet feels thief’s are to strong? maybe they don’t and it will stay bit if they do i hope they keep it competitive. at the end of the day i would like to see this game because a good competitive mmo in the e-sports seine.

And thief’s are not the only thing that need to be changed i think.

Well Cal, your right and your wrong.

Your right in the fact that thieves should have the ability to be a burst class and be mobile, ( it is not set in stone that they must be just because you have played 20 MMO’s in the past were this was true! Because everything else in this game is already different from other MMO’s) BUT your also wrong in the fact that you should not have any greater burst than any other class nothing in the design on GW2 suggest you should have an advantage SMALL or LARGE over any other class in the Burst area ( if X class is truly speced fro pure burst).

Will there be a Class that is better than the next at so and so absolutely because mmo’s are always getting updated and changed. It can never be balance if it ever was to be balance GW2 would release new content and toss balance back out the window.

Because of job security. thieves will be changed its good for business. i played a warrior in BWE1 and i remember how everyone would scream how OP i was i did not use 100b’s lol i used a Far more OP spec at the time 14k chain crit double axe evisc Shout tank build with 100% crit i got nerfed also =) good business move!

Also id like to say Thifes have a very low skill floor and a high skill ceiling! if they nerfed thieves Burst to match every other class, this would also open thief up to try other speced that will be just as strong ( if the thief is skilled).

I don’t think you guys understand how awesome it is we have automated tournaments on release.

Do you know how cool that is? Its a dream for competitive games.

Sure you can’t host your own games/custom servers, but the game has barely been out so be a bit more patient and enjoy the fact we have automated tournies.

You are acting as if actually having a finished game on release is an amazing accomplishment, Not that this is anywhere near a finished game.

Well, It is! releasing a game at all good or poor is amazing and very hard to do. but if you have 100% completed video game(s) you made that are done (by your definition everyone playing your game love it and cant add anything too it) please tell me the name it sounds amazing and i would love to play it

wrong just to clarify how thief vanish again into stealth , it’s a skill called clock and dagger needs cast time and needs to stay at the same place cause u cant cast it while running and third and most important at all if u move i miss it cause it has a low range , so yeah if u wanna nerf stealth fine by me , u have to compensate somewhere else , cause hard hitting thieves has 13k hp

now about mesmer they need a nerf to their huge hp pool which is by default 24.5k
that’s 11.5k more than thief almost double the hp , and decoy can be casted instantly

and mesmer doesn’t have to stand still , so now tell me which class needs a nerf ?

I play many different class types also in spvp. i have an 80 Mesmer and Guardian.
and i think both Thife and mesmer need a nerf (thife a larger nerf). as mermers could get a nerf on some exploitative utilitys. they also may get a fix to shatter as they dont seem to connect a lot of times if the pathing for the mesmer is odd, like the lip at windmill to the east of the point they bug out if they have to run along it, is some other cases this could be partly due server lag.

Mr. Big, where does a necro fall into this? Who should play a necro and for what purpose that isnt achieved BETTER by playing one of the top three classes? Who should play a warrior when they can play Guardian? Who should play any dps class when thief will outperform their dps and mobility?

Exactly. Why play the other classes when these 3 do the roles much better.

I would be scared to roll any one of them 3, if you were in the BWE you saw how strong warrior’s were and rangers and how much people cried on the forums about how bad Thifes and Mesmers were. now look at thieves and Mesmer!

And i remember spending most my time on Guru looking at the warrior and the guardian’s forums and guardians would make post like.

" We just are not meant to be Pure dps" if you want to play a guardian and be pure dps your not gonna be happy" best to roll a warrior if you want to do this.

Well i play a guardian now and ill burst warriors down toe to toe even if they 100b’s me i don’t need to dodge this ill toe to toe him but he will be dodging away from pop

Meh, engi are just as strong as any of them 3 you may not know it yet but the meta is gonna rain on engi’s in 5’s.. deference engi for the win!

Ellys can be just as hard to kill as guardians if they go for support. i think guardian bring more in the way of buffing team member in a full support spec than an elly but that could be fix just by adding something to the elly as well
