The attempt at a new 2v2 and a updated courtyard just got put in the dumpster of “Hotjoin” so there they will die.
For once , i am thankfaull that Hotjons are dead .

There nothing wrong with a given class excelling in a certain area such as roaming and nothing wrong with that ability to roam being tied to superior mobility. This “bring them back down to everyone elses level” meme is just code speak to normalizing all classes so they play the same. It leads to sterile type gameplay.

They should either focus most ppl to join zergs (removing the dailies) or they shoudl increase the survibility of the other classes (regadles if its effecting pvp) , by giving most Warrior’s selfhealing traits (and scale even more , to counter the food+gear of the WvWvW stats)

PvP season 5 were only a 120 people legendary division including a few second accounts. PvP season 6? I don’t need to mention that even weaker where you get top 250 as gold 2.
If I am already plat 3 within 25 games do you think it’s hard for me to get top 10 within 100 something games lol.The point is still that it should not be able to reach certain things like that.
SoloQ having a winratio over 70% playing with and against duo que teams is not how good matchmaking should work. And as I said by playing duo que I would have got without a problem a 90-100% winratio (100% on those 25 games) this season.
Main problem is people don’t even belong into those ratings they currently are, sad but true.
Even after making legendary under 1950 to 1800 is a joke and only in favour of 3d class players who get into 1800 and think they are the best pro gamers ever. Specially when I had games against and with top 10 players who had 0 gamesense but atleast belong into top 10.A last thing:
There are currently no OP classes due to the fact that each class can get countered by atleast 2-3 classes.
PU (chrono) mesmer is not a problem with DH, good necromancers, and power warriors.
DH gents countered from power warrior, scrapper, druid adn ele.

Example: We have 2 revs enemy team has 2 mesmers 1 reaper 1 dh 1 ele.
Therefore revs have no advantage over the 2 condi mesmers nor against the dh. Also a good reaper destroys revenants as well.Swaping class before the game start ? Why should people do that? I don’t know maybe they made this 1.30 min timer to punish people to get mad until the game starts or the better fact that you can swap during that time.
Swaping class to counter enemies gives you and your team a huge advantage but most wannabe pro gamers never realize. You ask for support no one swap all of your team dead and then wondering why :-OEven if you have missed the previous season , even with 7-3 placements macthes you get in Gold Tier 1 (1217 rating) just like myself (health problems)

Being able to get from bronze into highest tier within 25 games should not be possible first thing.
The part with playing more? First I have no time to spent so much into the game. Second thing I already mentioned it on my first post.I never said that noobs should not get to plat but as far as that goes “noobs” / beginners should not be able to rach plat at any way.
And yes I might be wrong but gw2 is a team based pvp game and therefore if you have 5 dps or 5 condis atleast one can swap to support. When I see people posting multiple losses with 1 class than I just wonder why they do comp pvp. You can’t play only the class you like to it’s not how the game is meant to be played.At the end I don’t really care it’s just when I play against plat I want challanging games and not 500-200 with 3 cap and easy mode going on. People just don’t care but all complain and only a few know how to play proper. I see from 10 games 1 guy who’s good and escaping from fights while 90% of the players die on 1v1s or team fights while they could have easy run away.
Therefore I maybe do a few more games before my vacations just to troll around or achiev even higher winratio :-)
Its not like ppl dont know , but rather they give up easily , or get frustrated when they domanated by an anti-class .
Just myself … if i see the enemy team is 100 points ahead , then i just loose a little hope and i w8 till the next game to have a chance , rather than grinding my teeth for an uphill battle .

Heck atleast in WvWvW i can change class or stay afk for 6 min in the base or join the zerg , if i have to face the same OP class over and over
The good part that you dont play much , that means you dont get frustrated by the afkers or the noobs eeing in plat

I love the fact this game is dead now, not going to lie.
I told everyone for years that power creep made the game not fun. Guess what…now everyone accepts this as a fact.
Hilarious to see everyone quit. This game isnt fun at all, that is all there is to it. Spam wars 2 where everyone does massive damage whilst being perma invulnerable.
Pretty much. HoT power creep killed any chance GW2 PvP had. What’s more dismaying is that the power creep is still at ridiculous levels nearly 2 years after HoT’s release.
Hot wasnt the main power creep. That was the trait merge patch where they randomly merged all traits.
They got rid of expereinced designers who understood risk and reward and understood how to create a game fun to play with and a game where other people were fun to fight against. They replaced these people’s power with those with no design experience.
Are you sure they kicked the class designers out? I believe they just simply moved them to elite specs 2 after the rework to traits was done and the last elite soec shipped.
They are all talented people i am sure but it is about filtering ideas. Jon sharp leaving was a huge blow for the game as he appeared to be the filter which stopped power creep. He wanted classes and specs to have weaknesses. When he left then the filter was gone and we got bad ideas making it into the game. Jon sharp was always talking about how they didnt want to give warrior too many cleanses or they would become unstoppable for example. Now they just give everything to everyone and the result is bad gameplay

The only think i remember from back then , is that a longhaired streamer dude (that looked like he was ‘’banging the shield’‘) was crying towards the devs that they should toned toned down all classes to the warrior lvl before they gave him the improved Healing Signet +25% movement speed trait + selfhealing traits + cleansing Ire) and something about hurting rooftops or walls or something .
Heck i remember cleearly (when i used to play my brothers account) when the community asked that Dev to increase the survibility of Necros , and instead gave it the 4 sec Drummfire , but later on cave to the demands of the community …. and now we have a monster that has 16k hp Death Shroud + a lesser copy of the Signet Warriors’ Healing , rather than the intented 8k + simple healing spell
Ehich both good of a think , because i cant immagine all classes to be like the unbuffed Warrior as a good thing
Better options , equals most fun gameplay .
(I my self i am w8ing for a combo of Sniper+evades on my Thief)

Make an extra pop up message , after you signed up in the Tournaments :
a) Play normally to face team after team
b) Place you in the 2nd or 3rd match (based on your Winning chance) , and if you beat the other team with +120 points you get the x6 the rewards , but if you win only with 95 points difference you loose the game
(the number can be effected by Chance of Win)
Hopefully most master teams will choose the 2nd option (staying more ’’fresh’’ for the last game)
edit: but the enemy team must know too , that if the difference is less than 94 points , they will win

You can thank elite specs for this. Elite specs artificially raise your skill. PvP was better before HoT. It’s not even a comparison. You didn’t have all these faceroll mechanics like you do now. Yes, it had problems but balance was better.

Just like the PU mesmer , when they buffed the Scepter ’s Auto-attack , by giving it Torment .
Or the unkilables warriors and Eles
When you love a spec and defend it overjealously , it might leads into Powercreep for the future classes …. just saying
OP:
In the previous season you had 33 played and 20 wins = 60% win rate (if you have played 6 matches you would had 1500 rating = Tier 1 plat)
In this season you have played 25 games and won 20 = 90% win rate (Tier 3 plat) .
By my calculation the scrubs cannot be Plats , because they needed higher Winrating by your pics .
(even so the scrubs needs 135-145 games , to be ON THE LEADERBOARDS till the end of it)
Edi: I am sorry , but i am trying to win on my own , by my rules . I dont want any1 to tell me the tactics or what to do .

Try to use https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_Lyssa
(If you dont have any conditions , the Runes effect is not enabled)
and
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Signet_of_Stamina
and try to use the F1 skill on the Mesmers’ Clones +Illutions (with cleansing Ire to get rid of Conditions)
(edit: loosing to Conditions Mesmer is not your Problem , so dont worry much)
Reapers + Mace Enginners does most on the damage with Physical damage .
But the problem lies that you and Hornet.9305 have a Spec that you are going with the GW1 theme , that is too Meele (maybe you played a lot of GvG ?).
I feel your pain and i know that you dont want to use ’’chesse’’ and you rather quit the game …..-_-…. so either try to try a more Power/Condition spec with a lot of Burns to kill the enemy before he can kill you or w8 till the next x-pack buffs more the direct damage

Because GW2 doesnt have a ‘’right click Follow option’’ or ‘’/follow macros’’ , most multixobers programs have some glitches when a character get obstracted by simply rocks , or turning in corners or getting Slowed CC-ed , they have to manually re-adjust the ‘’loose character’’
That was the problem with ’’Prepared’’ (famous WoW 50+multiboxer) , faced on WvWvW
(and he was insisting that the game need a /follow command , while even without it bots can be used …. ‘’so why not implant it’’ ?)
So … simply slow or cc the last of them and run , and he will waste time

Use Runes of Forge
+175 toughness , and when you get 50% HP you get Protection (-33% damage taken) for 10 sec
Whatever happens , USE THE F1 SKILL ALL THE TIME (with Cleansing Ire) so no1 will stack to you 25 stacks of vulnerability (+25% damage taken)
Also dont worry , in the next x-pack , they will surely buff the damage so even with this defensive spec , you will alot more damage :p

Blizzard is a triple A company with top of the line devs tho…..anet isnt. Youre expecting too much.
Not all the top of the line devs are in blizzard… Anet has perfectly capable devs for the job.
Comparing blizzard devs with anet devs is like comparing champions league.
with sunday amateurs.There is 0 competetion. Most anet devs wouldnt even get an intern job at anet after coming from this disaster.

True you will choose the ones that has the most chance to succed / ‘’balanced overall’’ , just like the current meta specs and the ppl that moan in the forums that the PvP Devs sux , because the meta havent changed since season 4 .
You can Impant Teamplates , but the most ‘’balanced specs’’ must be nerfed this time , so we wont have the same moaning . And the Devs must share those data every 1,5 months

Ppl are just lazy , that they rather whine in the forums , rather than use the 1:30 to change specs …
By having 2 dual specs that theres hugely chance to NOT WORK 75% the that times , because your ANTI-CONDTION secondary spec , wont have the extra mobility to counter the Thief or the Mesmer portal
Whatever happens YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CHANGE SLIGHTLY your secondary or primary spec all the times .
Or if these specs happens to be so OP ,you wont ever need to change them , so they must be nerfed

Ppl shouldnt feel attached in their benevolent spec for too much , because when it will be nerfed they most likely whine in the forums rather to adapt or find a a new one .

There plently on examples …. just like myself when they nerfed Thief , i tried to play other games , for some huge APM and crits characters .
Or ppl will use the same over and over OP specs that limits the character’s spec pool (just like atm ppl that copy-paste the Meatabattle site , and the rest moaned that there is effectivle 1-2 specs per character)

We are already have different teamplates in PvP + WvWvW + PvE , that saves your builds without effecting each other .
Heck you can use 1 lvl character with the same class , but different spec and relogin
(btw if Teamplates where enabled ,, and most ppl had the EXACTLY SAME dual specs (anti-meele + anti-conditions) , should the company use that ’’data’’ to nerf that most-used-spec?
The Devs can slap the community with those data , as an excuse for the nerf-hammer)

We have received many reports this season about match manipulation both here on the forums and via in-game reports. Our investigation revealed that a few players were sharing a handful of accounts, which is clearly against our User Agreement.
While the investigation into this is still ongoing, at this time we have enough evidence to take action. As a result, we’ve decided to give dishonor to the offending accounts for the rest of the season. As our investigation continues, further action may be taken should we feel it appropriate.So these players and their manipulation accs’ are getting Season length Dishonour for sharing accounts to enable ease of Manipulation. Are they being punished for violating the UA, or for the manipulation? One would assume for both but reading this, if these players Manipulated without sharing accounts (like many other players who queue dodge/sync), will they also be investigated?
I personally don’t think players who queue dodge. Cheaters, Throwers, or Trolls should be punished. More so when the game evaluate their rating vs the whole of the enemy team.
All the other stuff. It’s in my firmest belief that ANet. Should just go full frontal and show no mercy. As these players had no mercy, when they pretty much made PvP completely unplayable for some of us. Remember ANet, all you have to do is look a the account metrics to see the type of impact these cheaters and trolls had on population directly. I am 97% these people are mostly directly responsible of the low population in PvP atm.
This is coming from someone would used sPvP like no tomorrow. To now can’t be ask to be a sheep for the cheaters to boost off of. Any other MMOs I’ve played, would have started deleting accounts, because of huge negative impact these people had on their game’s population. I’m just going to recommend the same be done here.

Even if 3851 toughness that may offers 45% damage reduction , theres a abudance of Vulnerability (-25% armor) and highr Ferocity (+50% crit damage) + stacking Might (average 12 stacks) + some traits (Mug) or sigils/runes (leaching) that bypass armor
The only solution i can find is that to increase Knights and Dire Armor

Ive noticed that there are more condi thiefs in pvp and tournaments. I can’t beat them as warriors because of their endless evades and condi’s…. Its so broken…..

Condi burn warrior, burn them.
the rotation is: all slot rage skills to stack much burn as u can -> headbut/fill adrenalin -> berseker mode -> longbow burns, -> swap to sword/torch -> use torch skills, ->sword #1 to stack bleed on him. … hes dead even before u finish thins rotation.
If they evade any of your attacks, they could potentially cleanse this burn over and over. This is why 1 condi builds are potentially useless against them…thanks to Escapist’s Absolution. You need more than a 1 condi gimmick build if you are going to try to condi them down. (meaning you need more variety condi sustain)
its impossible have so much condi cleanse. Every rage skill proc 1 burn stack and its aoe, theres 3 slot, plus butthead, plus when activate bersker mode. this rotate is effective even against condi necro cuz burn is the highest damage condition, so the burn kill necro before bleed kill u, burn kill thiev even much faster than necro. … thievs have low hp and defense, 4 burn stack is enough to make them run in panic mode.
if thiev stay jumping like monkey, the sigil is regen u.
the worst scenario is P/P thiev hitting u, when u fight another person, so this case is 2×1 scenario. if u fast enough to change target to thiev, u can still scape.

Its not they can stack 4 burns on you , and you can remove it from evading in the next attack , if tey keep pressuring you all the time
Even Driven Fortitude + Signet of Malice + Assassin’s Reward +Regeneration doesnt negate 100% of 10 burns
Increase all vigor for all classes plzzz or give them cleanse on evad …. dont nerf again theifs ..

That can not be gold 2-3/ plat 1 level of skill if thats the level of players i am teamed up with or playing against.
The plat player should give the advice to the newer player , about tactics .
Dont tell that that Plat player managed to get that Rating , by simply playing as usual or he has just plain Luck ..
Theres a reason why you have the icon , next to your name …. USE IT ! .. GUIDE THEM …INSTRUCT THEM !!!
The best will find ways to be ontop … and not crtying like little girls !
The system chooses 1 random target to be captured in every map exept EB (total 3 target) .
The mark stay for 8 min for Supply deposits , 15 min for Towers etc .
The less populated map > the easier target
If the 2 overpopulated maps managed to get their target (regadles of time) , while the underdog managed to cap the Supply Deposit with 4 min on the clock (the first person that reaches on target > freezes the internal 8 min clock >regadles of how minutes he need to captured it , or even if he dies from an enemy)
, then every1 in every maps get +3 PiPs for only one time
and +1 for each person that is essentailly 30.000 yards (1/3 of the map , away from the Target .
If they captured it with 2 min left , then every1 gets only +1 PiP instead
Or the 2 populated servers can capture their target faster , so the undergod can take his time . Or all 3 of them , capture fast so every1 can gain +5
If all small points have been captured , then the system ask you to defend the Watcher or the Keep guards or 4/5 Deposit Guards from the enemies
If we divide each map into invisible circles (see pic) , then :
a) If a person have spent more that 1 min in his area (purple area) , must had travel for a small distance atleast (painted part-next circle ) to get the reward .
Gettting attacked by players or refreshing the catas , or chatting in the /team chat while on keep/tower , awards the PiP .
If you have stayed for more than 2 min in an area , then you will be forced to travel atleast till the upper circle (of any circle) , 45 sec after the captured point have been taken , or dont stay afk in a half circle for more that 55 sec

The funniest thing is this upper echelon of this community thinks that’s what breeds competitive PvP. When in fact there is nothing competitive about that. And the population numbers proves them and ANet wrong every single day.

And what next ? Balance a class when most ppl will cry about ?
They always envisioned PvP rooms like TF2 steam servers you can hop in, and out of. I was fitting it with that intention considering the lack of official support.

Thief hasn’t defined the meta since Anet removed their ability to duel & win far. Right now there isn’t a class in the game that can’t delay a thief long enough for a +1 from mid unless you are FAR below the skill level of the thief.
Well , we have to w8 for some tournaments and showcase the rest of boffuns that we need buffs to wins far (HINT: WE NEED) , and hopefully some kitten player Caed wont do same kitten over and over , and win most 1v1fights that creates 4v5 scenarios all the time , aim for the decap and then runs for the +1 assist into mid , like 5 years now and spread the wrong message ….
Increase the vigor for all classes kitten …. they cant hold the base simply with evade/dodges
LET THE WHINE STOPS !!!
Or create moare weapons like the Enginner’s Hammer or Thief stuff , for the casual that dont know how to survive and do damage in the same time !

Don’t exactly remember when or where it happened, but I recall a tournament where the counter to thief was simply “don’t pay attention to it” and that resulted in the win for the team without a Thief…

Increase the Vigor up to 200% for all classes for the love of the god ! Dont nerf thief !
And give all more protections if they whined about Thief damage !

Do you mean like an event ?
You and the other sighed up ppl , can hold the ‘’Eternal Battlegrounds Castle’’ and you must defend it for specific hour (between 14:00-1500 ) while the other 3 factions besiege you ?
Each other enemy server in order to participate into EB , they must capture 70% of their homeland stractured , or go into the enemie’s and sabotage them (or the EB guys can do the same) ?
The same rules aply in EB (must capture atleast 33% to summon an NPC to be escorted into the keep)
And siege machines that have ‘’body block faction’’ inside the EB castle , that takes damage based on how many other siege machines are around them (dont stack them too close and not too many), when the outer walls/door is destroyed ?
(max Supply in the castle 15k)
The NPC that follow the commander or the commander can nominate a person , so the NPC will follow him in some backdoors ways, avoiding ganksand not w8ing 3 min to reset (in random location))
EDIT: the Eb castle can be used as a test subject for future mechnics that can be used in the normal maps.
For example you can control some Small Iron Balls inside the keep .
They go only forward and they turn extremly easily , doing knockback +100 damage to the zerg . As long as the keep diving in the zerg (chipping away some mettalic piece fragments) + with the friction of the earth , you small ball get magnetized and over time the size and damage is increased , while the movement + turn speed is reduced .
If you collide x2 times with other ppl Balls , you die .
Theres also 2 bottons on the Small sized ball :
a) Start Detonating Sequence . doing 3k damage (after 6 sec) . If you touch another player’s ball or explode in the same radius , no damage will be done to the zerg but a small black hole will be created the disperse the zergs in various ‘’cough cough random’’ areas inside the keep
b) Hold the Hellfire Hannon button , if 3 small sized balls are nearby and essential you stay still and you start charging so the Middle Player will be launced in the direction he is facing for humogous mout of damage (count as projectile)
or c) when 2 small balls are magnetized they create a Twister
(or some machines gun thatdont have exactly good aim , just like the old Enginner’s Poison Dart (or ak47 .
Or mechanical moles/eagles , controls by players that snap players and teleport them in various locations in the keep)

So basing rank gains/losses on personal mmr vs avg enemy team MMR is simply stupid, unfair, doesn’t make sense, you name it.
Theres a reason why they removed the grindbased leaderboards of Season 1-3 , because it didnt reflect the actual acomplicements of the true PvPers .
While the may have kept the casuals from enjoying the system , the ACTUAL PvPers where leaving left and right for other games that offered recognision …
Having the best system (curently one) will produce more pros and ultimatly more teams will be created to join the scene .
This PvP scene , will attract like magnet the average casual Joe’s eye , and they will follow the pros on twitch
Why not create the season 7 , based on the same mechanics too ?
So all the 2017 will be the era of TRUE BASED LEADERBOARDS that we will tell on our grandchildren !

i must say, great community, great advices and everything. in other games i would expect some “get good” jokes etc.
i have to agree with aeolus here. this is not a good game for pvp since your damage can vary between 1k to 10k+ but your defenses wont really vary that much. this is basicly BS. however there is no better game out atm….

Transforming the loosers on crawling babies and they have the ability to move left or right when the ‘Victory’ screen is enabled , while trying to collect a random throwned on the ground pressent , in 5 sec .
If some1 from your team or the enemies have mominated you with+1 you gain movemnt speed , and your speed is reduced if you got reported by afk by most .
Or each player can hold a chainsaw and start trimming the Winner’s podiums !

Have the Guilds have tried atleast to put some LoS items (lost of sight) and hide behind them for some guerrila tactics ?
Or tried for 4 months in a row with those small arenas , to put consistent 1000+ viewers , that will will showcase that the community supports and enjoy the GvG (and will w8 till the bigger maps are released by the company) ?

f i remember corectly there where some dudes from the WvWvW that where watching and discussing in the official GW2 twitch , the event from Pax for the introduction of the expansion .

Isnt Guild Halls the area where ppl can do 20v20 GvG (or whatever numbers) , and if that fanbased event have enought of viewers they can official support it?
Have ppl tried since the x-pack was realeased ?
Cant be too dificult for 10 teams (x20 members) to c horde materials into that single Guild Hall and fully upgrade it to tier 3 in a single week ?

You cannot carry players that are 2 divisions below your enemies. Not happening. The suggested changes will at least cause less of such imbalanced matches and not punish higher rated players as much just because they are forced into carrying low ranks. Increase in games won’t do junk, people will still farm bronzies for easy points at 5am, matches will be still wonky. If anything, your suggestions will lead to players quitting pvp all together. Would one really want to play 300 matches with gold teammates vs top 10 players? I hardly doubt it. Even if by some miracle people do decide to play more and population despite lack of carrots does increase, those wonky matches will still happen because the system doesn’t have division limitation.
Your rank depends on your ability to solo entire enemy team and it is just wrong on so many levels.
But if we increase the games requiment (45) , that mean that you will have more team8s in your rating to face the Elites , if most ppl are forced to play and be online .
The casuals wont get affected
If they implanted your system you want , then they should reduce the PiPs (rewards) from 10 > 5 , plus you wont get any PiP from loss . That way it will force most casuals in the WvWvW and the leaderboards will be prestigious

and award/deduce ranks based on team avg mmr vs enemy team avg mmr (so you don’t get punished for having gold teammates vs legend players) and not just player mmr vs avg mmr of the enemy team.
No , it will be the worst scenario .
There will be a huge amount of influx of casual that will not drop to their rightous place (bronze) , and the Leaderboards will stop beeing Prestigious .
They should stop trying reinventing the wheel and use other existing – working systems from other succeful games .
They should just increase the games needed per week (more than 15) so the legimetly players that have the same MMR as you , dont stay afk and be more active .
Or buff specs that allow you to carry your team

and they removed it when HoT launched because ppl unlocked the Elites specs more easily ?
The OP’s comments still stands despite what ‘countermeasures’ there are for this. Vault, DB and the subsequent dodge attacks are extremely low skill high reward mechanics that shouldn’t really exist. They should be toned down with a bit of extra aftercast.

I’m obviously talking about the two variants of a spammable skill that has evade, and the two daredevil evades that have attacks.
It wasn’t that obvious. Besides neither of those 2 builds are really meta and got nerfed multiple times since HoT launch. Surely, they are braindead (d/d condi at least) but i don’t see them really being a threat. It is easy to yell “omg this is OP, nerf plox” but how would you change (assuming ofc that other classes see nerfs as well)?
I for my part wish they really stopped pushing condi builds on thieves and reworked db into something that could be more useful for d/d power builds since the rest of the spells are power basically.

They should make all spells across all the classes to have the same damage as Power Bound , that can crit ppl that havent invested into toughtness for 5-7k , rather than nerfing thiefs .
