Thanks for fixing the placement of the Aether short bow. The placement looks much better.

This sounds interesting. I think there should be some more champions that behave like this. Kinda like retribution for interfering with them.
This has merit. Condition spamming at the moment is very prevalent.
CC has a counter, stability.
Condition spamming does not.
I have a ton of them from chests. I would hope they retain their value.
Juggernaut is soo cool.
Welcome. What do you like? Stats, style, legendaries? What?
Same. I know this game does not require subscriptions but don’t kill the game…
Switch to a lower server, less population, more challenging.
Most PVT builds chose to ignore precision. With this buff, I’m wondering how viable those type of builds are. Endurance is a huge part of the PVT build IMO.
Perma vigor It’s gone:
Vigorous Precision – vigor on crit have its cooldown increased from 5s to 10s.
http://dulfy.net/2014/01/17/gw2-ready-up-skill-and-balance-developer-livestream-notes/
This is a 100% nerf (doubling).
In order to compensate for this, should guards get more precision in their builds?
…and while this may be good to the community as whole, it is not that good for the players as individuals.
- The drop rates for quality items are too low.
- Dungeon tokens become outdated due to ascended gear.
- Mastering crafting disciplines used to be something for everybody, now is hardcore zone.
- Legendaries… enough have been said about them.
The masses are driven to FS champion train or dungeon speed clears.
The TP is integral to the game and is vitally important for a modern-based MMO. Without the TP, you would have to resort to many other gold sinks in game. How would you like a 50s repair bill for each piece of armor? Fixed WP costs of 10s each? WvW queue fees?
Regarding your comment on quality items being too low, well, why do you think they are considered quality? It’s because they are rare and infrequent drops. If everyone could get 100 Charged Lodestones in an hour, do you think we would be using that item as a basis of comparison for a quality item? No. It would be worthless. And even then, if Anet were to increase drop rates by 5-fold, this would result in the desired item crafted from it losing value. Anet could then increase the amount required, but we would be going in circles.
Master crafting is called that for a reason. It could be cheaper, but I don’t mind each discipline costing at least 100G to master.
What about legendaries?
What you say is true. However, one aspect that is missing from this is the standard of living (quality of life?). Having rare, unique items, only affordable to a minority is not a society/game people want to be in, except to the ultra rich.
So, what we need is value created. Say provide more options for players. For example, have more variety in weapons, say non-legendaries, with lower crafting requirements. We have those, just provide more. Increase the richness of the system.
For armor, provide alternate ways to get ascended armor.
Etc…
This standard of living can only come from the game developers, who create the art, assets, experience. The TP can still be used, as it provides liquity, and servers as a market (maker?).
You could also go for a legendary that has lower priced precursor. Underwater maybe?
I have the same problem. I bought these recipes off the TP, all 4 of these:
Endless Toy Ventari Tonic
Endless Toy Soldier Tonic
Endless Plush Griffon Tonic
Endless Toy Golem Tonic
The Plush Griffon shows up twice. The one missing is Endless Toy Golem Tonic.

Is this still a bug? Can 2 sigils be stacked? One on each hand weapon?
My guardian is very tanky. The tankyness comes from skills and abilities and not necessarily by stats, although higher vit, heal, toughness helps in the tankyness.
For example, in WVW, I take my guard and get in the middle of a zerg before my zerg even begins to attack. Granted, I have been killed by this tactic but as I have perfected it and the timing, it works really well:
1.) Teleport to the target zerg using “Judges Intervention”. This prevents the zerg from countering your frontal attack. This surprises the zerg and may have to fiddle with their actions to figure out how to respond, perhaps a good 1 second passes before they react.
2.) Once you are in middle of the zerg, use “Stand your Ground” followed by the great sword’s symbol of wrath. A couple of things can happen after this, if the zerg starts attacking, immediately invoke your “Shelter Skill” healing skill. This, coupled with Stand Your Ground", allows you to stay in the zerg. If you see that you have more time, use your GS “Whirling Wrath”.
3.) Now it’s time to get away. Immediately use the GS ability “Leap of Faith” to get some distance, followed with the use of all your virtues. Immediately switch to staff and cast “Line of Warding” and keep running, and depending on the landscape, away from the two zergs, or perhaps toward your zerg. You may decide to throw a “Wall of Reflection” while running away. However, the “Wall of Reflection” may also be useful while in the middle of the zerg.
Usually you get away and get some time to recover, and usually, your zerg attacks immediately. What this has done is perhaps burn some of the timers on the other zerg that they wasted on 1 target, giving the advantage to your zerg.
This one tanky strategy by one guardian has potentially shifted the advantage to your zerg, to me this is a tank.
This same strategy can be used in dungeons, agroeing mobs, and allowing your teammates, which may be dps focused, to do their damage. Again, this is tanky IMO. You have an upfront person blocking all the damage.
The toughness, vitality, healing help in this regard because it allows you to survive this foolhardy tactic.
Guardian for me. For DPS, I prefer my thief. I’ve run the warrior support/dps, i think the Guardian is better for group. Although, the warrior banner ulti is interesting.
At the same time you were healing, the target was been attacked. Try the ulti.
It depends on your goals. IF you want best in gear, best in class, tailored look and feel, titles, then yeah, grind away. Otherwise, being a conformist is the way to go.
This is one think about GW2, it is of a somewhat open ended book/world, where you can write/explore what you want. I think this is fine. You can always spend some $$$ to ease the grind. This depends on your budget… $20 a month, etc…
The lover is good. 500G, congrats.
Witty, Pariah…
Rage, underwater weapon. Goes for 35G. Lucky?
Where can I find the build?
I run a full burst D/D spec and my backstabs generally only crit for 6-8k. You’re sorely mistaken if you think that we can hit you for over 10k if you have even remotely close to full exotic armor.
Im sorry, man, but then you are doing something very wrong, you might want to reconsider that build
(all of them were lvl 80s, no might stacks)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9d4Og8KbEMI’ll let the masses eat your post alive
Oh boy, cant wait until you see the moment you realize how bad your build is.
, and I advise you to do some actual research before making absurd claims for the class which is at the bottom of the totem pole in both PvE and PvP..
You might want to give eles a serious try, perhaps you will see why there has been a grand total of zero eles in the past competitions, then come to us and say how bad S/D, S/P and D/D truly are….
If they lower it, you buy one?
The Aether short bow is misplaced in the back. It is too high. Please center it. See screenshot.
OK I just tried it and the infusions are gone.
Thanks for the update and fix.
What I don’t get is why are the humans letting a krait roam around freely. I would think you would look like a red big target and en-mass the humans would attack, like a zerg descending on a roamer in WVW.
Angelpaladin, I hope they add something like this. I may have to wait for this. I just have to wait for legendary account bound.
Any idea on how long the removal of upgrades is or legendary AB?
To be fair, this whole business of moving assets between characters is a bit expensive. I’m looking roughly, what, 150G-200G :/
See attached screenshot of infusions.
That is the method to transfer the legendary. Once I get gems, I will try it and get back to this thread if the infusions will be gone. I think they will be. I have the fractal capacitor and will transfer that as well, losing the infusions (I think).
The reason I ask about the infusion is because I have the expensive infusions (dual, agony and precision). These are expensive.
Kiks, how did you transferred an infused fractal capacitor?
Please find a solution to this.
Here is one: An instance is created when one a party forms. The instance is destroyed when ALL members leave the party. If a party never disbands, warn the party members of the instance will be destroyed. To continue using instance, vote to continue instance. Perhaps a MAX time limit is impose.
How can I transfer a legendary weapon to another character and in the process transfer the infusions?
See the infusions in attached picture.
These are expensive infusions. About 38G per infusion.

I have 23/24 obelisks. What is going to happened now? I rechecked them all and I can’t get them again.
This doesn’t make sense for GW2 because GW2 is not just about killing. GW2 is a community and a market place.
1.) ALT Friendliness
2.) Legendaries account bound
3.) Legendaries account bound
I’ve still to try the new warrior in this patch. Is it that good? In WvW, they are beasts. Extremely hard to bring down.
Maybe I’ll give it a go tonight with my Colossus and Sunrise wielding war.
OP. Whitespace? There is a huge key a the bottom, so big it’s hard to miss “the spacebar”.
So when feedback was requested about this upcoming change, there was quite an uproar over “Sic Em”. It seems the only thing on the table at that moment was the cooldown and effectiveness of “Sic Em”. They were dead set on this new feature.
I hope next time they listen to the player base before tinkering with hardcore/traditional GW2. Instead of spending time on this, focus on enhancements that don’t trample onto the features of other classes.
Weird, just weird. They get paid for this stuff…:-0
Weird. After the community complained…
Government is shutdown. Gw2…?
Hey All. Thanks for the tips. When I played tonight it was much different. The shadow return to remove conditions is really effective. I was missing this.
I think thief vs necro is very competitive.
You just have to burst necro’s down. When they pop their survival cooldowns like plague, spectral armor+deathshroud, just stealth and reset fight.
Save shadowstep for big fears, try to dodge their staff attack(the one where he points the staff at you), thats the fear mark.
I think bursting is key, which requires a bit high dmg and decent crit. Thanks for suggestion.
You can get good stability. You simply need to give up something else……like every other class.
How? Give up what?
Necros have no stability, use S/P and stunlock them forever.
They do have stability in alternate form if traited.
Works now. Time is 6:30 CST.
