These are nifty ideas, but they do kinda break design precedent by referencing specific abilities instead of categorically classified abilities. Basically, these traits might be too specific to single abilities instead of general categories.
Agree with this. To choose a trait based on just 1 ability is not worth it, since other traits range a wider amount of abilities, thus increasing use.
Ideas are not bad though.
Because you would have three blast finishers on an autoattack which can be overwhelmingly powerful.
Thats why you put a really low % on blast proc on grenades (like 5%)
(Did you even read my post?)
Ì know 3 of them drop combo fields, but is there a logical reason for why arent either bombs or grenades blast finishers or devs just dont care? Of course 100% blast would be OP, but what about 15% for bombs and 5% for nades?
I know the Big Ol’ Bomb is a blast, but nades toolbelt skill is not…
Although the chance of devs paying attention to Engi’s is remote, would it be a good idea?
PvE centered, for dungeons.
Anyway, I wasnt gonna get Healing Power gear or too much healing (with bombs). Im mostly aiming for a multi kit with elixir gun for Super Elixir or FT or Toolkit without Elixir Gun for tanking PvE.

Hi guys. Im aware that after the recent Kit Refinement traits it is mostly useless to use it, so I was working on a new Multi-Kit tank build, since I assume it is the best way to go.
Would consist or Pistol/Shield, with MedKit, ToolKit, FT and EG. I dont know wether I should go for 0/30/20/20/0 or if I should put 10 points into Kit Refinement to sometimes often getting Flame Shield or Magnetic Shield, yet I would have to pay a lot of attention on CDs… Of course all of this with toughness gear (toughness/pres or toughness/vit)

Yet, if a multikit tank build isnt viable after Kit Refinement nerf, what would be a better tanking build, Juggernaut, or Toolkit? (And then if I chose toolkit Id go for a more turret-centered build with the latest buffs, while FT would go for a more elixir-centered build)

Looks good, I guess.
I like to see how others also pick up on this build.
Although, instead of using 20 in Tools I put 20 in Alchemy, with backpack generator. youll be in front line of combat, you better heal yourself too.
I use elixir R instead of toolkit, because the stun break can save groups, as can the toss elixir which revives people in an area (this is kittening magnific).
For elixir gun I have 100% uptime on Super Elixir (pretty obvious). Switch Elixir, wait 10 secs, switch and use super elixir, wait 10 secs, switch again, etc.
I use rifle with sigil of life since I will be rarely in p/s to actually get the 90 toughness bonus or to use a skill (yep, you DONT get the 90 toughness bonus if youre in your kit)
ATM im using Ascalonian Catacomb’s gear with prec/vit/heal. power with their rune, works just fine.
Using Big Ol’ Bomb and then Sticky Bomb works great since the mobs will get knockdown, but wont get thrown away so your group members wont complain.
I like this build, although its damage is low, it provides great survivability for yourself and your group.

Build consisting of Flamethrower with 200 Toughness, ToolKit, Elixir Gun, Med Kit with p/s. Traits would go 0/30/20/10/10 or 0/30/30/0/10
Could it be viable for PvE, dungeons?

Personally, I use grenades build. 30/25/0/5/10, or I used to use 30/30/0/10/0. Healing Turret, any 2 utilities, whatever fits best for you, and grenade kit, Supply Crate, with p/p.
Dont know which gear is better though: poewr/prec/crit or power/prec/cond
I’m currently using a Rampager build with Grenade Kit, combining straight-up damage and conditions and benefiting from Precision twofold, from the critical hit damage and the condition application on critical hits. I’m currently using a 30/10/0/0/30 setup.
I have to wonder, though, if a Berserker build relying solely on direct damage would be superior. I’m not exactly sure where to find all the figures for doing that math.
My desire overall is to just obliterate anything in a group at range. Lobbing grenades into zergs on WvW, predominately.
I only run PvE though
But I use Berserkers, and was wondering the same thing. I use 30 or 25 firearms, though, instead of might stacking.
Why the 30 in Toolkits?
Hey guys, yet another post asking for advice.
ATM im using p/p, 30 explosives, 30 firearms and 10 alchemy for running dungeons (Using Shrapnel, Explosive Powder, Grenadier, Rifled Barrels, Hair Trigger, Coated Bullets and Self-Regulating Defenses, since im using glass cannon) with Healing Turret, Elixir B, Elixir R, Nades (duh!) and Supply Crate.
I was wondering if HGH was worth having in grenades, instead of 30 points in firearms.
Also, if there are any suggestions in relations to traits they are very welcome.
EDIT: Thanks. ATM Im running AC, so Im tossing Elixir R because knockbacks are so annoying. Thanks for the tips.

Im running 30 explosives, 30 firearms and 10 alchemy atm. using Healing Turret, Elixir B and R, Supply Crate and double pistols.
I wanted to know wether should I go for the CoE or CoF rune, and should I go for Power/Prec/Cond or Power/Prec/Crit
This is PvE focused, dungeons.
Nobody can give me a hand?
How would this build go for a dungeon perspective? Would we still use Elixir X and Elixir C?
For Grenades build, which dungeon should I be running to get optimal gear?
Both dungeons offer mostly same gear, but the runes are different, and I wanted to know which one should I go for. I dont know if I should go for the crit, or power.
Atm Im running full zerkers, choosing in between CoF or CoE.
Also, should I get Power/Prec/Crit or Power/Prec/Cond. Dmg?

Thanks a lot man
Hello.
I got a grenade build, and was wondering if I should use Incendiary Powder vs Shrapnel. I was using Incendiary Powder, but since I got about 4 more ways of applying bleeds on a target, and bleeds stack, I thought Shrapnel might add more dmg than Incendiary Powder.
Which one should I use?
This supposed to happen..?
