Many of the improvements people want are currently available with specific builds.

• People want pets to cleave (drakes do that).
• People want pets to have auto-attacks larger than 130 range (birds do that).
• People want pets to be faster (Quickening Screech, signet of the hunt, agility training, Fortifying Bond, Sic ’em, etc).

We have tools to make our pets better, but most people don’t want to be forced to take them. I do take them and my pets (even birds) are up most of the time in WvW fights that are 30v30 or less.

And your pet still worth nothing as your ranger! Grats! You have a piece of kitten what not die within a second! You just fully traited on it. Other classes dont need to trait on class mechanics to work and still do more as you. Try a warrior, guardian, necro, ele and feel the sunshine when your mechanic saves you and not you need to save your tool. Btw 30v30 is not too big combat. That is the fight of 2 medium guilds.

I think wvw needs more temporary or permanent changes! Lets spice up the things!

What i realy want to see is a sandbox mode. We place and build towers, supplys etc

A lot of players farm dungeons because its worth it. Players play fractals because they need ascendeds and also a good money. Tons of players farm bosses because free yellows!
We, wvw players can buy cheap armor but to farm the badges we need much more time as a pve player to farm the money.
First reduce eotm badge drop ( or add more to wvw) and give us real rewards (Tx material bags, equickment boxes, new fancy skins etc… For badges)
Merging servers just a hotfix. Players need motivation to play (heroes weapons are not enough, sorry) complete 5 events is not a motivation to play a full week.
Repeatable achivements, funny titles for less then 1kk dolykill and so on… Just qol changes mostly, you dont need to reprogram the whole game
And btw remove normal xp pls and add lvling tomes.

This is the problem with the ranger. Thieves, warriors, eles (and nearly everybody else) have better dps, team support and sustain as us. And in this game single target and pet gameplay is week

I should image a mystic forge sollution for this. Gift of battle+original piece+vision chrystal+ xy ecto = original piece in ascended version.

i just dont want to use pets. they was bad in pve and useless in wvw. now they worth nothing. give us something like elementalists attuments! a pet mode with pet, the others without it, a sniper mode, a survivor and a buffer mode (example)

I dont want more ,“you %&$#ing nub 222222 ranger!” whispers from d/p thieves! If i go roam they always whisper me, but just that kind of thieves, nobody else

Warriors have +15% dmg and crit trait if not using the adrenalin skill. We losing dmg because the pet…

1: no changes, maps on wvw, the wvw titles
2: no ranger/pet system rework
3: stealt mechanism
4: they dont talk about things what they plan
5: no new weapons, dual professions

i totaly agree with that nerf. i maining a warrior (because ranger dont have dmg, cc or anything) you cant have everything but warriors still have the most

Im not a roamer, roamers eat me. Few days ago an engi and an ele duo attacked me at the bridge front of hills. I agroed guards than beated them to death and stomped them with my fancy golem finisher. Its war. Kill or be killed.

1: be able to kick offlines from party
2: multy level commandering
3: account bound wxp
+1: body block as in gw1

sometimes the easyest sollution is the best. we dont need fancy tricks. just make wxp account bound as fast as possible pls.

Do you ever heard about weapon swap? GS: go closeer, burst, evaid away while hit an extra 5k, than change to other set. Burst and block/evaid again and repeat.

Without stability CC is op. Without dodge, aegis, prot etc direct dmg is op. Without condi clean condi is op…

as a ranger i realy want an as bad weapon as your rifle

Only a wvw player knows what is toughness

if we dont want to farm fractal for weeks or farm materials we cant realy get one. but we have badges what is after exotic level. (and no exo back item in shops btw)

Anet do things as slow as possible with max hype. Its policy and marketing. Maximal profit with the least work. Its not good for players but good for the company

I dont know what you play but i bet you are a thief who have a macro to jump on targets and kitten them.
I tell you something buddy. A glass ranger dont have the damage to kill a dd cele ele df cele is the worst nightmare. Btw same with medi gua. Warriors get out of range faster or jump in our face faster as we shoot our second arrow, mesmers evaid, invul, put 84 stacks of confusion, engis have annoying amount of cc and that reflect… Thieves jump in, make us use long cd skills, jump out, reset fight and comes back. Necros just facetank our dmg

Heal must be under powered. The attack always must be stronger or there will be immortal builds

Well… Wvw is not rewarding. We play for the nothing. No titles, no achivements, no skins… Eotm ktrain 3x more rewarding as real wvw…

The problem with stealth is the low risk, high reward thingy.
I think stealth should work as a very rare ability. You should use it only once or max twice if traited while in combat. Or maybe it reset if you are out of sight, every enemy are blind or nobody targets you or something.
This assassin style game mechanism is a magnet for the blood thirsty, raging teens whos start to cry and call you nab if you defeat them

Itd probably be better if your friends not play with upleveld.

Pve is very casual friendly. Succeding in dungeons is only the matter of will. You dont need nasa computets to calculate builds. You can ask map chat or check metabattle and do it in 3 minutes.
If there is no challenge there is no point of the game

i played 1year+ with my ranger only. i tried every gear and build. once i was fed up with the ranger hate and rerolled to a warrior. and know what happened? never changed back. now i have guardian, warrior, necro and all of them have more heal, cc, dmg, aoe and team support, survivibility without traits as my ranger have with full traits. my ranger was lvl270 after a year. my warrior made that under the first leage.
my warrior deals 3-4k dmg on zerkers with a dodge roll and its aoe! guardian… dodge, staff1, press buttons and collect loot bags. necro? i leveled my necro with books so i never played with it prevously. i didnt known how it is work or what am i need to do, just bought an armor, trinkets and staff for badges. you know what happened? i pressed buttons and targeted the middle of the enemy. i never seen that much numbers flying. necro is a half warrior, half guardian, half ele. the ranger? i 1/10 thief, 2/10 engi, 1/10 ele and 2/10 warrior.

Seasons could be OK if they give rewards after personal gameplay not for servers. Repeatable achivements, real rewards( example lvl tome after 50 kills or something like that) more reward after open field battles, less for pvd, drastical decreasing in the number of sieges (2 treb 2 cata 6 ac in a tower is a joke and defender trebs/catas hit through gates lol)

New contents siphon wvw playrs. But no reason to go back after you finished

If you say that pets are dead weight in 95% of the game modes, and hurt you more than they help, you are just not playing the class right. Pets aren’t the best mechanic around, but they are far from being useless.

we all know there are lot of situations where pets useless or just problem. for example wvw, some dungeons, big bosses, rush through an area…
what if pets not jump out from our pocket automatically but give us passive self or party buff. maybe the buff could depend on the pet

Leveling alts in wvw hurts your server. An upleveled character is just a rally bot and free kill. And its a very slow way to lvling…
Pls remove the normal xp gain (and maybe the random loot) and add more badges + things what we can buy for badges.
I started to play at the betas and i have only 1 legendary because i farmed 1 week at the begining of the pavilon event…
My pve friends have 4-7 legendarys, thousands of golds and ascended panties!
Sometimes i feel 1 badge = 1 gold

yea, lets do a small comparison as to what our handicap would look applied to another class:

warrior: class mechanic adrenaline: For every bar of adrenaline you will have 10% LESS damage. So at three bars of adrenaline you will have 30% less DPS then when you have no bars of adrenaline. This way you are forced to USE your class mechanic instead of just letting it stay full for max damage.

Mesmer: Class mechanic Clones: Mesmer’s start of with 100% damage, for each clone they release they lose 20% of their damage while the clone picks up 10% of that damage. When all three clones are up the player will be doing 60% less damage but it’s covered by the 30% damage their clones are doing until they shatter them or whatever.

Thief: Two class mechanics, stealth and initiative: While stealthed, thief will deal 30% less damage on their next attack and will not be able to heal while stealthed. While breaking out of stealth initiative will regain 30% slower for 30 seconds. Thief can only enter stealth once every 30 seconds.

Seriously, this is what the other classes would look like if they had the same handicap that we have had to put up with for the last year and a half.

But you know what, I take a step back and have been reviewing previous posts from dev’s and i’m looking now at the timing of this thread and the statements the dev’s are saying on this thread and have come to a conclusion. This thread is more of a marketing scheme then an honest attempt at trying to fix the class. They have ESO coming out in a month and they know there will be an exodus. They think that if they do this and show an ‘attempt’ of trying to fix the class that they could slow down that exodus from GW2. I love this game and don’t really want to leave but if they do not either fix pets or give ranger’s 100% of their damage back, I’m gone on 4/4. And no, you can’t have my gold because I will not allow my hard work ingame going off to someone that will continue to support the people working in Anet who, up to now so far, for the last year and half, have done nothing but dangle a carrot over our heads promising us everything if we wait till ‘the next patch’. They know pets are broken and with serious trouble yet the nerf the pet damage? yea, that really seams like they care about us. Longbow is lackluster against the shortbow so they nerf the shortbow to make the longbow look better. Yup, feeling the love there aren’t we!

Warriors gain extra dmg and crit if not use adrenalin. Eles also gain something if they not changing attunement. Necros can use the class mechanic as a panic button as thieves. Guardian f1 do the same as our pets mighty roar just instantly and deal extra burn. Enginers F skills are just a little more extra, makes utilitys more stronger. Etc…

Do you want high risk low reward? Play wvw

I care about 2 things. Rangers and wvw cdi. And what happened? Nothing. There is no 2 way communication.
