If Ascented armor would have new looks, then it could be pretty cool. If it’s just another same with the same look as exotics or legendaries then it would be pretty lame.

My friend is trying to create some traveler’s armor for me (specifically this set http://www.gw2db.com/items/11013-travelers-acolytes-boots-of-strength), but we can’t find how to make it nor how to make Traveler’s armor as there doesn’t appear to be a Travelers Intricate.
Does anyone know how to do this and make Travleler’s armor?

There is a small chance that you may have been caught in a ‘sweep’. In that case you’ll most likely be unbanned within 72 hours as such tickets often don’t need too much time to process. If it wasn’t accidental though, then they need to review the evidence and it may take more time, but they will inform you if that is the case.
Verify my identity to purchase more gems. How?

Seeing as you can still login to the forums, make sure to change your password and see if it works then. I also suggest you review https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security for any unknown IP’s as this may be a sign of as security breach on your account.

hehe, just to clarify how the system works. The original purchase isn’t linking the account to any IP, this is because you don’t buy an account you buy a serial.
When you buy the game at buy.guildwars2 you will receive a serial in your mailbox along with a welcome email.
You should send this email to your friend and then they can use the serial to create their own account linked to their own unique email. Only after they activate the serial, the account will be tied to their region. Before the serial is activated and tied to an account this won’t happen, meaning that there is no need to worry about any of this

I think that this bug report belongs in the bug forum, but for now here is how you can link your account:
1. Go to: https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/account/support/
2. Click on Login Issues
3. Select the Linking Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 option in the dropdown menu.
4. Fill in the details requests such as your serials etc. and it will create a ticket for you. By using this specific system, they will have all the needed information. Meaning that they won’t have to ask you any extra details so it can be connected faster. However it’s a manual process, so due to the weekend it can take up to Monday to be processed.

They don’t have a phone number and ticket support is always slower in the weekends.
As far as your paypal issues go, these tickets tend to last longer indeed. This is because of the fact that while ArenaNet is the developer of the game and thus responsible for game related questions, it is their publischer NCSoft that is responsible for game distribution and other payments.
When purchasing gems you are dealing with NCSoft instead of ArenaNet, meaning that your ticket about payment issues is handled by NCSoft staff instead of ArenaNet’s. While they both provide good quality support, NCSoft support is usually a lot slower then ArenaNet and because they are seperate companies, ArenaNet can’t do too much about it directly for you. Sorry.
P.S. In other words your concern about the account termination ticket not being attented to is thus incorrect since that ticket will be handled by ArenaNet while they payment ticket went to NCSoft.
They only handle critical tickets during the weekend, such as hacked tickets etc. This is mainly because they are lower on support staff in the weekends as it’s more expensive. Gaily Gray for example doesn’t officially work in the weekends, but she is known to use her free time to help around the forums as well. She doesn’t handle tickets in the weekend though and I suspect that the same counts for other employees.

As a security message ArenaNet will hold the name for the player that released it 24 hours after the character has been deleted. This is for players who want to recreate their character with the same name. Meaning that due to this system, no-one will be able to grab that name while they are re-creating the character.
Meaning that exactly 24 hours after your daughter released the name, you (or anyone else for that matter) will be able to register it.
P.S. If you don’t remember the exact time that you daughter released the name, then you can always ask her to register and release it again so that you know the exact time you will be able to use it again. This is suggested if you are afraid that someone else will take it when it’s released earlier then you think.

Support won’t be able to reinstate your account right now, because they didn’t got any money for the key as the original key purchase was fraudulent.
Here is what I recommend you to do above all:
1. Get your money back from that store.
Here is what I recommend you to do to get access to guild wars 2 as fast as possible:
1. Buy a new serial for guild wars 2 at the official store".
2. Once you got the key, reply in the ticket that you got a new key from the official city and give them the key with the request to reactivate your account with the new key.
One of the following will then happen:
Most likely:
1. They will restore your account.
2. They will be unable to restore your account and you have to create a new one. This would mean that you have to start over again, but at least you are able to play.
Very unlikely:
1. You can’t return to the game and the key from the official store will be refunded. Although that seems very, very unlikely.

I just wanted to take a moment to see which tips you guys have for remembering your password. Ever since the 21 Sept. when Mike made his post, I’ve been telling myself that I should change my guild wars 2 credentials.
I changed my associated email in about 2 weeks from that point, but I was always afraid of changing my password since I don’t want to be that guy that forgets his password. Next to that I was also waiting for the password generator that Mike said would be coming soon, although that never appeared.
And I know that it’s a lame excuse to wait for that, but ah well I guess that I just like to keep things the way they are even when it’s unsecure. But well, I realize that when leading a large guild, it’s fairly unresponsible to not have an unique password so that is why I figured that I have to give in this weekend and update my password as well.
However do you guys really believe in this comic?
I mean, as an IT guy I’ve always been told to use complex patterns and never used ‘normal words’, but at least 1 capital, 2 numbers and at least 10 or more letters. So just changing to something so ‘simple’ just doesn’t feel secure to me dispite what everyone is saying. Which is stupid, I know.
So what did you guys do? Did you change your password to a complex one or did you make one using the ‘comic guide’ or did you simply keep your old? And how are you remembering you new password if you picked on?

Changing your name used to cost $15,- in Guild Wars 1, so expect around the same pricing in GW2. As for appearence, they said that they will be working on it. However since ArenaNet works in Valve time, we can’t know for sure when it will be here. Just that ’it’s coming’.
Following up on that the reserved names are being released next week, I was wondering how many of you are waiting for a specific name and what is your reason for waiting for it or are don’t you care as much and simply settle for something else?

Just to clarify something below. The hat from the event is different then the hat included with the witched outfit.
Go to your character select screen and re-log into your character, this usually resolves the issue.

I’m the guild leader of GoT in Far Shiverpeaks and we are experiencing this exact issue as well. The current ‘unknown’ status isn’t something that we can’t relay on since we don’t know that algoritm and with 500+ members this isn’t something that we can easily manage.
If you guys could put something this basic as last login date in GW1, then it should be an easy job to implent it again. Even SWTOR and similar games had it available at launch. You guys have made an awesome game, but these little annoying things are simply breaking the especience for GM’s and officers alike.
As a community we really have to get arenanet to fix this problem. I’m currently leading a 600 member guild and this is just undoable. Especially since the new branches / sub-guilds that are created to pickup the members above the 500 minimum feel like they are empty because they can talk to the first branch / guild. This creates a sense of demotivation for the players, which isn’t good in any game.
If you can’t make alliances, then simply increase the max. members of a guild to 1500 or so.
I’m still waiting for this to become account-bound rather then soulbound for almost all of the reasons above. I’ve quite some rare dyes as my collection currently features about 60-70 dyes. However I didn’t apply even 1 of them, because then I wouldn’t be able to use them again on another character.
The promised us 2 years ago that it would be account bound and I can’t wait for it to actually happen. Then I’ll finally be able to free up all that unused inventory & bank space and begin having dye fun

Can you please review ticket [120922-003259] ? It’s now 6 days old and there hasn’t been a reply yet. This morning I got an email that there actually was a reply, but there isn’t any in the ticket, thus I noted that down.

First up, I’d like to make clear that I’ve no idea what actually will happen. This is only a guess from my side and my suggestion to you!
1. Both the collectors edition & digital deluxe use the same type of key as they both have the same IG benefits. The only real difference is that the collectors edition comes with physical goodies.
2. Once the serial is disabled, the account will most likely still be there (speculation) and will simply rander inactive. This is most likely the same process as with account that didn’t got the retail code applied after the pre-purchase code. Since the solution for such accounts was to simply apply the retail code, this may work for you.
Final thoughs / suggestion:
Once one of the two accounts get disabled, there are 2 things you can do.
1. Wait for ArenaNet and see if they can’t help you out. There is obviously a chance that all stuff gets deleted / can’t be restored, however then either ArenaNet nor suggestion 2 can help you. Or they can restore it and you send the money back.
2. You close the ticket and try to restore it yourself. Given that my initial speculation was correct. Then you can simply restore the account yourself. Aquire the digital purchase code from http://buy.guildwars2.com and apply it to your account. Then (if my speculation from earlier is correct) your account will simply unlock itself and you can play again. Just as when someone would apply the retail code after the pre-purchase code as I wrote earlier. (Or wait for ArenaNet to see if they can do anything, but you may remove stuff with this step as well. I don’t think you can actually, but warnings are always good)
Non-default functionality may be labelled as an exploid by some companies.

It is possible to set a hotkey to instandly swap between townclothes and armor? So that I can switch instandly between them after a fight? I’m asking because I prefer the looks of my purchased townclothes above armor on my low level char.

If the ticket was submitted correctly, then they usually reply within 72 hours. From your ticket-number I can see that it was created on the 4th of September, meaning that it should receive a reply today or at least tomorrow.

I recommend you give it a try. Especially if you have no gems and it works, then there is nothing stopping you. Even if it costs gems, the gem price is low. According to the wiki, it’s not limited yet. So jump over now you can
If you are talking about the mesmer mask, you can dye it indeed or make it invisible in the hero screen.
I suggest that you update your existing ticket since it most likely has all the needed details to remove the ban + it has the history of your account restoration.
Besides that ticket numbers with older dates have a high priority, meaning that you’ll get a faster answer as well
Performing a chargeback will get them to block his account and possible the IP. Meaning that if he lives in the same house as you, then you’ll probably loose access as well. See the ToS.
There is only one method, that is by applying a game code to your account. Such as a code from one of the giveaways and things like that. If you have such a code then you can enter it at register.guildwars2.com and select that you already have an account.
You are then required to type in your desired account name. Most people simply select their former name and will receive it back with different numbers, however I suppose that you might as well just enter something different as well.
It is a work-around however, as there isn’t any official way to do it yet. ArenaNet said though that they are planning to eventually implent it.
They’re part of your town clothes, so you cannot use them when you are in combat. As long as you’re not in combat, you can wear town clothes and thus your aviators. I’m not aware of any key binds that allow quick transition to town clothes and armor.
Well that’s boring. Would have loved to use them anywhere at any time.
