Why doesn’t Tyria ever have open sky? I feel the clouds are a lazy way to make the sky look like a sky. Whatever happened to weather? I barely see the stars. It would be cool to see the sunsets.

Just a suggestion about a most pressing issue.

I’ve always thought the axe after cast was too slow even though it can bounce to targets. I imagine they will change it eventually but soon? hard to know.

I enjoy my ranger. I guess the shoe doesn’t fit all..

Female norn rangers are awesome, Also male sylvari with cultural gear is awesome too (what i have).

The racials on both are interesting but id like the norn ones more because you can kite away easy with the forms, stealth and sprinting far away then a possible swoop is like an easy get away. Both look awesome with the ranger itself and the armor choices they have are great.

I kept throwing my torch at people tonight and got “obstructed” when im literally standing on them, about 40% of the throws tonight. Was wondering if its just a common bug or I’m doing something terribly wrong.

I will be streaming some tonight if anyone wants to watch. WvW solo ranger in t1.

I’ve been liking this build lately in WvW roaming and open world PvE. I dont really do dungeons on my ranger I bring my guard for that, but yeah.

Axe/Torch with Sword/Dagger. Good evasion/poison on the sword combo then swapping to axe torch in melee range for the split blade/throw torch its pretty nice damage, decent survivability all around fun build for me. Good Luck.

Who plays ANY video game with the attitude of “i suck and will continue to suck so what do i need to do to remain bad but still win fights”??? who?! Even 8 year old kids playing the most basic games want to get better at them over time. Thats what makes a game, improving and growing. But the amount of laziness here is something i cannot understand. You dont have to be pro but you can try, at least try.

You want to ask people for advice but you dont want to put forth any effort so whats the point? Why post? Why play?

Thats really just your opinion Tricare, if you want to say everyone from t1 is bad then go ahead I don’t really mind. All I’m saying is there are a few good and alot of bads on every server. Maguuma or wherever you are from isn’t excluded otherwise your server would be alot more well known for having kitten people doing kitten things. I haven’t seen or heard of it so I’ll keep waiting.

Its nice that you do that Tricare, but you are not an entire server of people doing that so Puandro is still right. #of zergs may change but the skill base of the players doesn’t.

Sorry can never take any roaming videos that involve t1 servers serious. 99% of those players are just people on their way to a zerg and don’t know how to fight.

To be honest 99% of the players on any server/tier suck and are on their way to a zerg. in t1/t2/and t3 from all I’ve seen. <shrug>

It can be used offensively and defensively and you guys are here crying or defending it. Lets just call it what it is, its both. Mind = Blown.

hey guys im back home from work. Im heading to JQ BL windmill if anyone wants to come out for some 1v1s. the more the merrier.

about 10 people dueling out at mags windmill now, we need some more FA out here for 1v1s! come on and test your mesmer skills haha

Hey you solo roamers out there, was wondering if you peoples wanna meet up more often at the windmills of any server BL for some fun fights this week. I’m pretty sure the zerging action will be boring so its a good time to have some fun 1v1 fights and meet people from the other servers.

Excalibur the fact that you are defending yourself with no foundation except your “own little world ideas” for at least a day is pretty sad. If you are truly as good as you say and warriors are truly OP as you say… why not prove everyone wrong without typing? Make a video in heart of the mists or level one up like you said and prove it. Anet will like to see and so will all these people “defending an OP build”.

The dynamics in sPvP is completely different and leans heavily on condi spam right now. This type of spec thrives in WvW.

I already said if this spec remains untouched I’ll be leveling my warrior to 80 and I’ll make some roaming videos. Not now, because next patch brings the account wallet which will make things easier.

i run 5man havocs (actually fighting other players) in T1 on JQ and T2 has been more promising TBH. If i were to move servers i wouldnt go T1.

they can match the technology but they don’t want to. they enjoy the zerg ball system they have and i guess they think its the cool thing to do, what they dont know is that in a year, half of those zerg ballers will be bored and will want something with more skill or pretty lights.

I think both builds can be good just depends on the class, build, and the player behind the keyboard.

i actually ran something really similar to your build last night in spvp, the shout was nice cus i had like 1min of regen after a long fight with a thief (he didnt steal it) but yeah i think more builds are stronger but i tend to 1v1 more but in a group setting it could be nice.

sylvari t1/t2 mix is awesome if you can, really goes with the tree look. Go t1 chest/t2 shoulders,gloves,boots. I would link but i dont have the time sorry!

If I wanted to run this based on how I feel with ranger, I would drop the shout because I think with dwayna runes and the boon duration from the trait line keeps me with regen most of the time. That way you could use a different utility if you wanted, perhaps a trap for another combo field with your sword/horn combos possibly more condi dmg.

If you dropped the shout you could go 0/20/30/20/0 picking up Sharpened Edges, and Trapper’s Expertise. The trap you use could be up to you and your group setup as you know.

Armor wise I would run rabid armor with apothecary jewelry, the healing power will still be fine enough for me and give you more crit chance for bleeds or sigil bleed procs if you want.

These are all just thoughts, take what you want thanks for sharing.

i ran with it in wvw last night and it didnt fall short of what i read in the patch notes, it may not be over-powered but that doesn’t mean its falling short to me. just difference of opinion i guess..

Its more rewarding to me to solo roam or duo/trio with my friends. We play to have fun so thats what we do, nobody asks you not to zerg because we dont like it.

theres a difference in zerging and knowing that you zerg and zerging and acting like you are a skilled 5man that truly looks for 5+people to fight.

another good ranger vid, just goes to prove the BM QQ was all for not in the end.

I enjoy my BM hybrid with zerker knight armor/dwayna runes and cleric jewelry, 800 HP is about all i need. the survivability helps you when roaming solo or duo and you are fighting multiples at the same time, sometimes if you kite well and the players dont play well you can kill duos or trios with the survivability. You can do similar things too with traps too but its really whatever feels the best for you.

I honestly think rangers are in a decent spot right now because xsorus and i have played similar builds since the start of the game, the variety for the most part and still both like different weapons or slightly different things. Builds can be different for how you want to play it and can fit your personal playstyle and you can still win fights.

If riot is a “5man guild looking for out manned fights” and considered a legit 5man this is pretty laughable. RIOT and Icoa are quite similar in tactics and skill. I wish RIOT actually faught people 5v5+ but they are part of the karma train and run from my 3 man often.

Players like that are rare indeed, but they do exsist, i think there are more than a handful but not alot on each tier matchup. So we are spread between matchups on our servers so its hard to run into each other. I wish we could would make WvW more fun for everybody trying to find good fights.

If i ran this build i prolly would drop BM to 20 and raise WS to 20, getting the protection on dodge is great and you can pick up oakheart if u want. but thats just me! thanks for posting

I agree its a decent way for a general overview or feeling of how much damage is going on, but the raw numbers are certainly more accurate. I dont have the energy to make a spreadsheet but some people have them created, maybe you could make a post asking for one that way you dont have to do the painful math.

How should i control my pet if those “buttons” are bad. I mean should it just know who im attacking, pull out on its own, go back in on its own, swap itself and use its cooldown ability on its own? Im very much missing the point of this thread.

Sure some basic parts of our f skills are bullkitten but you are taking it away completely and that doesnt make any sense unless its not supposed to make sense anyways.
