No, let players decide if they want breastplate or not, make it OPTIONAL, do not force a vision to everyone, expecially if you have already made it.
Also please, can you fix the outfits for female asura?
Expecially the noble dress that is the exact same as male, is awfull, make it similar to female human/sylvary.

I find a workaround that 100% work.
The issue lie when you log-out directly from the game bypassing the launcher, it wont save the settings, however if you simply log-out to the launcher and only after close the launcher this issue don’t happen.
Yes, you have to perform a useless passage but for now is a good workaround to avoid losing your settings.

Hi anet, since with HoT we will have more support and heal specs, why don’t add an option to display pernamently the health of the players without mouse over everytime every single user?
I think will be extremely usefull for dedicated healers having on the screen the players health bar visible for fast support.
Honestly i’m surprised that there isn’t this option in the game after 3 years, i don’t think is so hard to implement and is very usefull.
Please consider this feature before the HoT release, there is still time.

There’ll be more supportive damage for Celestial Avatar by launch… possibly from trait modifications or from skill changes.
An issue which should not be decoupled here is that Celestial Avatar felt gated behind staff use (and troll unguent), which left a ranger with one damage-focused weapon option and one support weapon. I’m making some changes to astral force rate gain to try to address this. Ideally it should be possible to build up your astral force without -needing- to run staff, but running staff should speed up the process by nature of the heals it provides. This would yield the option of running two non-staff weapons while still having Celestial Avatar available.
Celestial Avatar healing is the best available by a decent margin right now. One issue that came up is that the healing coefficients are so insignificant that running with healing stats yields very little reward.
The best healing in the game being available without using any healing power; this is not good for the game.
The berserker meta not be the only consideration requires that other stat combinations be rewarding.
Being able to run two more damage-focused weapons (if that’s your thing) and still have Celestial Avatar available should address some of your offensive concerns if you want to play a bit more offensively as a hybrid. If you want to focus on being the top offense then you probably shouldn’t be selecting the Druid specialization.
That’s all I’m going to say on the subject for now (though I will continue to read constructive feedback here and elsewhere) as there is plenty to be done in order to address these and other issues. /me ducks back to work on Scrapper and Druid.
I appreciate your effort to make the game more dependant on classes and roles (aka the trinity), however balance a system like this is always impossible.
GW2 base concept is “jack of all trades”, every player is autosufficient in a way or another, the game don’t need a tanker or healer since everyone is dps/tank/healer/crafter.
Now a system like this don’t work well with classes but the countrary, a system like this work well without classes, where you aren’t locked to use only some sets of weapons and gear.
Pratically classes is the limitation that negate any balancing.
At this point is better if you remove classes altogether along with gear but berserker and weapon at choice, where weapons determine what skills and utilities you use.
Or, the solution invoked by lots of players, make this game based on trinity and avoid this infinite class balanced.
In this way every gear in the game is meaningfull and balanced and isn’t useless like now where pratically only the meta zerk is balanced, so cleric for healers, soldier and knight for tankers, rabid, carrion, sinister for dot conditiondps, zerker, assassin for melee dps.
Trying to insert roles into a jack of trades system with classes is a hell and you never be able to properly balance something without screwing another, not to mention that all the gear in the game, from cleric to rabid to carrion, to dire to apothecary is pratically useless apart some situations that don’t cover the majority of the content available.
ps: i have 4 characters, mesmer, ranger, thief and warrior, tryed different kind of armours, from cleric to rabid to knight and simply the best gear still zerker is almost every situation, the game is only balanced around maximum dps output because everyone is jack fo all trades, all other kinds of damage, support and tanking are 100% useless, but i guess you already know.

Everything remove the crappy oneside meta zerk from the game is welcome with open arms.
I’m so sick to playe zerker with every character, so boring.
Finally some support roles, so you can play different with different tactics and positioning.
<3 the trinity in themepark games.
Personally, I have a feeling that all these anti-zerker threads will create an overreaction on Anets side, resulting in absurd stats-combos being promoted for both higher fractals as well as raids (has been hinted at). As a result, fights will not only become overlong and unfun, but players will also be required to grind out multiple stats-sets (the account-bound ones say hi) or even grind for legendary armor in order to adjust.
That said, I expect the players who created the anti-zerker threads to be the first ones to cry. Will quote my post accordingly once it happens in a few weeks – stay tuned.
There is no need to prolong the fight for zerkers, they can stay the same as now, they have just to boost the condition damage and healing power, so people can make different builds and be effective.
Atm only the zerker is effective.
Why did you tried a Mesmer Rabid? Try Guardian, Ranger or Engineer. All three are pretty good in condition.
Tried both, also tried condition with my thief S/P but imo, sucks hard. Conditions don’t do enought damage because mobs have a huge pool of HP, and when you have huge HP you need huge power.
Infact conditions are a bit better in WvW where people have normal HP.
Hopefully, 1 healing guardian in a party of 10 will be a decent choice in raids.
However they don’t mention anything about changes that make pure roles more effective.
Also, why go all the way to Clerics? You know you take a more support guardian build with zerker gear so you still make decent dps.
I have already 2 char with zerker gear, isn’t this enought?
Why i have to make another char with zerk gear? I’m sick and tyred of this. I want a different build and be equal effective, not only the same pure dps.
Hopefully, they could add a Condition Damage, Precision, Healing Power gear. That would be awesome since the Power of Sinister only give you like 5-10% additional DPS.
I think is useless if they add gear without modifing the outgoing damage and effectiveness of buff/debuff/heals.

I didn’t notice anything relevant about this issue in HOT, i will wait to see how things will turn out.
There is no way that my 3rd character will be another zerker (atm i have a guardian full cleric but as i mentioned above it sucks hard), seems all my chars do the same things with a different weapon.
I really don’t get this.

Hi Anet, i’m a veteran that bought the game at day 1 back in 2012, i’ve 2 chars at 80, a warrior and a thief, both of them are full berserker equipped, i do dungeons, pve and pvp fine.
But i’m a bit tyred of these builds and i tried to change to make something different.
So i start with a mesmer and tried the full condition build with rabid, but after a while i realize it wasn’t effective at all, long time to kill mobs, people kick you from dungeons, and useless in pvp since everyone use condition removal food and utilities.
Then last, i tried the full support guardian in cleric gear, again no damage, heals aren’t so good as support other players, and in events i don’t get the reward sometimes even if i hit my target because of lacks of damage.
Why in this game only full berserker meta build works and is effective? Why this game is based entirely on DPS?
I remember that in GW1 you can choose the weapon you want and separate skills from a huge poll and make your own build, tanker and healer were very effective in their meta role, the tanker do low damage but was impossible to kill, the healer keep alive their mates and so on.
Then what’s the point of gear like rabid, carrion or cleric if they are worthless in the end?
I know you don’t want the trinity but at the same time i fail to see the point in having different armours and effects if everything work only with full power, precision and ferocity and the inesorable stacking?
Yes, you stack with your mates, all in zerk gear, behind a column, wait the mobs come, kill, repeat till the end.
Why don’t make pure roles more effective? If some people want to specialize more in support, tanking or healing then let them to do so and let them be good in these jobs, without removign the actual builds.
I really hoped with HOT this trend stopped, but there is no mention about it, this is the reason i don’t bought HOT yet, i want to wait that you Anet fix this issue and let people make different effective builds and playstyles.
You soudln’t ignore this issue, i’m really sick to make alts all with the same redundant zerker gear, is start to be really boring and not fun anymore.

ps: sometimes i’m wondering if the guild or the party are necessary since you can do pratically everything alone with the zerk gear, selfheal and tanking thanks to utilities, apart world bosses indeed. Is pretty sad.

Same here, after last patch warhorn sound is broken.

This megaserver SUCKS hard.
When i check the waypoint when i want to port, in another map, this waypoint when i come there is completely unsyncronized because the system transfer me to another server.
How i can suppose to do events if what i see on the map is a “fake”?
Please, at least let us choose if we want use megaserver or not.
yes, it would be nice if armor sets had a bigger impact, but they don’t, you can use all your skills independent of them, so there’s only zerks to go for because damage is always needed.
And this is my main point, only the zerk build is very effective both in pve and wvw, rest sucks because everyone can do condition in a way of another.
Anet should focus more on specific roles and boost your desire path based on traits, skill and armour you want really use, so if you want to be a “debuffer” as a main role you should be able to, without any restrictions or caps in damage per second.
This need a serious balance or everyone will continue to walk around in full zerk gear, everyone will ask for zerk in dungeons or you will get kicked, while everything else still useless or used as a joke.
Hi, what i really want to see in the next patch is a serious boost to condition damage.
Actually go for this build is useless, it take several time to kill foes both in pve and pvp, everyone is in zerk or knight armour ( and everyone demand zerk in dungeons).
Why conditions exist is they are so worthless?
For example i Just bring my mesmer at 80 and go full Rabid condition damage, i noticed how in pve this build is very slow to kill even if i have 2000+ condition damage, then i tryed in WvW and the same, i fill people with conditions (expecially torment and confusion) but they remove all and heal in no time and majority outplay me in the end.
How this is possible? Is really zerk the only real build available?
My suggestion is make conditions skill more powerfull, increase the “tick” damage overtime and reduce CD, to make this build better and more viable to people who want play the “debuffer role” as a primary damage output.
ps: In the end if nothing is done i’m forced to switch zerk with mesmer too, and i have already a warrior and a thief full zerk, very redundant and boring.

Hi, a lot of times (but not all the times) this skill stop the animation and reset (no i’m not moving or do other things).
This bug raise after this last halloween content update patch.

Ok, i start:
1) No GEAR GRIND, instead of introduce more armours/trinkets/weapons where you have to farm and grind to make them, introduce NEW SKINS with the same exotic stats so everyone will be at the same level.
If you introduce new timesink gear you will create a gap between hardcore players and people who have a lot of time to play and casual players that can play only few hours the week.
2) More dynamic and FUN events, stop introducing ONLY story achievements that nobody cares (at least me and my friends don’t give a kitten)
3) Make WwW a big map not 3 separate worlds, make loot if you kill invaders better, at the moment WwW is stagnant, not fun, and not required. More massive events, more conquers, less instances.
Atm, the only thing i do is log-in, do dungeons, for money, buy equip, log-out. No incentive to play on WwW, no incentive to do sidekick events apart of daily achievement to farm laurel for acended (thanks anet to introduce more grind and farm gear progression).
I’m playing Gw2 because i dont have anything to do atm and is the best themepark among mmorpgs in the market, but the game is stagnant and redundant, to keep people more you need to improve and change your game.
Ah i forget, WHERE ARE GUILD WARS? And GUILD Headquarters?
Where are Race vs Race events? And Class vs Class?
Duels and arenas?
These things are what i consider more fun.

Hi, i know is in beta, but please consider to add filters too, for example what kind of class , what level restrict, expecially the latter because a lot of low levels join the party when they shouldn’t and they don’t read description.

Hi Anet, probably already suggested but just a reminder of a graphic issue.
Some weapons are soo dark that they merge with the surrounding landscape a lot of times (expecially in dungeons and level 80 maps), so why don’t use dyes for weapons too?
It would be nice to have a more bright colour for my shield and final rest.

Hi, just logged in and a weird message appear when i try to buy some gems using my gold, the pop-up ask me to upgrade my account to use this feature as u can see in the image below.
Pratically the system recognize me not as normal user anymore but as trial user so i can’t fully use the trading post.
Is an temporary failure or i should open a ticket ?
ps: My account is standard edition and i’m in game since day-1.

Not only this, cause this change now dungeons are heavy under populated because majority do only 1 run a day for 100% tokens reward, more for only 50% less tokens is worthless.
Thanks Anet to mess up everything good you did to dungeons and not care about your own playerbase. This game is moving toward the grindfest that others Ncsoft games are like L2 and Aion.
These changes are unbelievable, for them nothing is worth a mention neither in the blog neither in the patch notes, as an old day-1 player i’m really disappointed by this behaviour, really hope their repair this mistake and redo the ruleset, adjust it, or at least give us the reason behind it with a post in the blog.

Hi anet, i’ve sended a ticket a day ago and you reply me to open a topic here, well.
The issue is the nerf ot tokens on dungeons.
Please redo this feature to the old ruleset, i’ve 3 characters at 80, and when i want to change my skin i always do 3 runs at day with my 3 chars for a total of 180×3= 540 tokens.
Since i’ve limited playtime this feature was very good, and thanks to my efford put to develop 3 characters i can have access to different armour and weapon skins (my main purpose to do dungeons) in a reasonable amount of time.
Now with the nerf i’m force to spend more time playing in the dungeons or wait weeks to complete a single set, a task that is becoming boring and tedious because the reward is now account based and affected by dimishing return.
Also why you do this change now when a lot of people already farm dungeons for almost a year non stop? This will penalize a lot of people like me with low playtime that play dungeons sometimes and not 24/7.
I can see people farm dungeons with 5+ characters for salvaging purpose, but the issue can be fixed easy making these items not work with salvaging, so people can simply do the dungeons for money, drops and armour/weapons skins only, how it should intended to be played.
Thanks for reading, and please consider to revert the change or at least nerf the salvaging but leave alone the amount of tokens for character as before.
ps: also is appreciated if before you change these important features ask you playerbase what think with a pool and explain the reason behind it with a blog post, moreover put in patch notes these changes too.
Oh, i’m not the only one that noticed this?
Is very unfortunate for low playtime players not to be able to do dungeons more time with different characters, having only 180 tokens at day mean that for a full set we have to wait weeks while a lot of old players already did it and have tons of sets make in 2-3 days.
This is very unfair for legit players with limited play time, please Anet revert the change or fix it.
I’m interested in CM full set but in this way it took me so much time, that i’m force to log in to do the 3 paths then log out bored waiting the next day.
Very very bad ruleset.

Is me or the dungeon CM is bugged ?
The first time i do it was ok, but second one with another character tokens return are 50% less, is this inteded or is a bug?
Just wondering because i din’t read this in the recent patch notes.
If is intented is very bad for the game, there is a lot of peopel already do it several times with different chars before, they have full sets while i just start to do it and will be very hard now , and no i wont farm endlessy, i have only 3 chars.
I prefer less money and items but tokens, tokens should stay the same if you use different characters.
190 tokens at day is a disgrace, i’m interested in CM armour + weapon set but in this way is very slow and boring, it took me more then a week to do it, not to mention is hard find people for dungeons nowadays with less people online.
Please Anet fix the bug or bring back the old ruleset, thanks.

NO, because the game is build with a buy to play model in mind.
A company deserve a lot of money and support only when they make fun games, atm this game is fun but lack longevity because end game and fun content are missing (pve and WvW are very redundant).
I’m waiting next big WvW expansion, and hope they discard the idea of gear and tier grind.
I already spent a lot of money and time to make all my 3 char wear Exotic, if they start to add tiers after tier after tier I SALUTE THIS GAME forever, mainly because Anet will be a liar coz they claim that this game has no grind and not gear progression.
I can accept gear grind only for PVE not for WvW, in WvW everyone should be the same with end game gear.
Said so i really hate liars, so i hope Anet don’t fall into the gear treadmill (aka they shouldn’t listen stupid Ncsoft vision, aka WoW vision). Is so hard add fun content and leave the grind out once a time for all?

Same error to me too, i have this error when i try exit from a dungeon using the gate, not only this, dungeons and WvW lags like hell.
Since you already collect data from previous people is uselesss i put in mine, error is the same.
I lag like hell on dungeons, they are unplayable, 15 seconds delay, but the pve outside world and chat is 100% fine. They mess something with guest feature, dunno.

I’ve this issue after today patch, dungeons, expecially AC lags like hell, mobs and other players freeze for 10-15 seconds, is pratically unplayable and i find myself death everytime.

Just restarted the client, seems to fix this issue, at leats for me.
Hope don’t become a huge problem like sound bug where i’m forced to restart the game everytime.
After last patch i notice that i don’t get any might when i perform critical hits using sigil of strenght, and as a thief i perform lot of crits (60% critical chance), is a bug or is intended?
Before i had might always active using 2daggers and 2pistols.

If you bother to make something you don’t like later on, that’s your fault and you’ll just have to deal with it.
Or you can give us a favor, and stop care about what other people do because is not your kitten business, if they want to pay to change a class they should have the right to do so since no one interfere with your game experience. Ok? Thanks.
This isn’t exactly true, but what do you think will happen if people can just change profession from a cash shop item.
Is only a class change, simply instead of a guardian you have a warrior now, where is the issue here? Is just a service for people that don’t like a certain class and avoid to GRIND MONTHS again from scratch. Yes i’m casual and from 1 to 80 is hard, not so easy, expecially now with low people online (is a fact stop deny it).
Also, you keep using the word ‘grind’. Levelling a character isn’t ‘grinding’. It’s called ‘playing the game’. Casually playing, I reached 80 in 2 weeks. That’s hardly a long time, unless you’re a ‘I want it now’ type of person.
Is still grind, i’ve already do the same route 2 times with 2 characters, i wont do it anymore, i’m tyred and bored of pve content, is boring, it lacks fun, is redundant and lot of events are still bugged.
I prefer to pay with gems and swap class, is not a gamebreaking and not an advantage over other players.
I disagree with the profession change, but race change? Fair enough.
I prefer mainly class change overall, for the motivations listed above, race is just a plus.

Though honestly nothings wrong with a guardian or any class for that matter to be so game breaking to not be enjoyable, I’d think somewhere along the line to 80 you would think your bored of this and finish a different one.
Yes, i’m bored of my guardian and i wont waste another month to leveling up from 1 to 80 another character. I want a Warrior instead of Guardian.
A class change is an extra service, something you can buy on item shop for people who have already a capped character and dislike to waste time to leveling another character. Is a personal choice.
I don’t see the issue here and nothing wrong about it, will be a good goldsink (i proposed a 1000 gem cost service to start off).
For race i agree with personal story issue and cultural armour issue so this idea can be discared, but class change is fine and should be considered a good addition.

Money is not an issue, the issue is, instead of delete a class i don’t like i prefer switch to another one without re-grind a month from 1 to 80. i’m a casual player and i don’t take mmorpg like a second job. At beginning was fast because there were lots of people around, now pve is stagnating and people is bored to do pve.
Nothing wrong with it since you pay for this service and help Anet in developing the game.
Not all people like to spent months over months to do the same thing over and over again, is boring.
30 minutes to learn a class? You’re seriously mocking of how complex the professions are?
If you haven’t down syndrome then yes, training a bit on the mist and sPvP is enought to understand this class. If you lack skills and you need more time fine but in my case 80 levels of grind is kitten and boring. I prefectly understand already all the mechanics of this game.
It takes hours of practice to properly use a single profession correctly.

I care because there’s already an overwhelming amount of people in WvW who don’t know how to play their class, adding this in would make it 10x worse.
You didn’t address the equipment issues either. It’s a lot more then just a simple cash shop item.
You care and QQ for an non issue, your argoument has nothing to do with class/race change and make zero sense. If people play bad their class is their fault and their choice, 80 levels of redundant pve change nothing, tell them to train in the mist or sPvP if you want better players for WvW.
Also as i explained above, this help people with all char slots busy or people already maxed that leave the game bored.
More money for Anet mean more resources for new content instead of stupid gear progression, so is a welcome matter.

That’s completely false. Please don’t over-exaggerate.
Also I disagree with the race and class change. If you didn’t figure out by level 20 that you didn’t like your choice, then the fault is your own. The equipment issues are also a major problem and I feel that there are much more things that need to be fixed and added instead of this.
I’m not exagerating, is true, tryed myself (Eu blacktide server).
Also i don’t get why you care since is a cash shop item and only a easy change, this mean more money for Anet.
There are people who have used all slots and have no more space for more race/class combinations. This will help a lot of people, not only people who love grind.
Since Gw2 is a b2p game model there is no need to timesink but moneysink.
Second, i don’t need 80 levels to learn play a class, there is the mist for this, 30 minutes there are enought. Your argouments are all invalid.

Hi, is possible to add an elixir/potion in the item shop for change class or race?
I’ve 2 character at 80 (a thief + guardian), i’m happy with thief but not impressed by guardian (i dislike it), instead of delete it and regrind another char from 1 to 80 (a true pain since there is no people in pve anymore and do events is hard and boring alone) i think is much better a race/class change.
I’m ok if it cost 1000+ gems but please consider to do it, the idea of regrind another char make me feel bad and discouraged.

When Anet put in game guilds vs guilds? This game is called guild wars so make some GvG content.
Yea WvW is only zerg, wins not the player skills or coordination, wins who have big numbers.
VS = old players + arbostone + canadians (nightcappers)
But i don’t care anymore since i’m sick of frenchies and fight outnumbered everytime 2 : 10.
Is a good thing we lose and back to fight against desolation and others in the 4-5-6 position. At least we will fight 1 : 1.
Play outnumbered all the day 24/7 is stupid and make no sence, expecially after nightcapping.
Sayonara and hope we will never see you again. Oh and tier 1 or tier 10 matter zero, you gain nothing and you lose nothing in wvw, pvp in this game is only to kill time and have fun.
OP is right in a certain degree.
I’ve 1 Thief and 1 Guardian, but i use thief for WvW and Guardian more for pve, because of mobility.
Mobility is all in the WvW where there is always zerg vs zerg, with my thief, zerker glass cannon build i kill and survive triple times compared to my guardian full Knight defensive build. Also i made tons of money and tokens with thief, not with Guardian cause their attack are very slow.
This is possible only because thief has escape utilities and great mobility while guardian not, so i realize that in the end no matter how much HP and toughness you have, you will die anyway if you lack abilities to go in and out fast.
Mobility and speed utilities > all, expecially in a game where WvW is limited to s*itty zerg vs zerg.
Yes, is hard to kill a heavy armoured class with glass cannon thief, but again, you can escape if something go wrong, ever, refill and back in action immediately.
ps: Guardian elite sucks too, at least warrior has might, switness and fury that is 100 times better.

The best thing to do is to be there before stating something or to ask someone that was there.
Vizunah always sleep less when their rank “might be in danger”. I think that you saw that they always play safe in their fortress and only seek for points. They did the same night capping plan the day before, but you didn’t notice because :
- Your night force was there and almost as weak as our, but seem like they couldn’t tell you that.
- We did a morning cap, so all what they did in the night has been erased.

Arborstone is mainly composed of players that cant realy play during morning and afternoon just because we work or are at school.I for myself was realy stunned to see that VS managed to make a night capping plan this night and day to catch up and make AS go to the 3th place.
Did we let VS take our building on purpose? hell no we just cant play when we work or sleep.
Did we merged our server together? hell no we dislike each other to much since DaOC.I just have a request for you: Please come back when you got a real clue about was is going on.

Is odd, last days wasn’t so blatant till now… but i guess that today we will see if you lie or not.
And if you are right i apologize in advance since i didn’t know we have a night crew (i transfer to BT just a week ago cause my first and main server (Fair Shiverpeak) is pratically death as a desert.

If the only way to win against Blacktide is for the other servers to band together, it proved that we are insanely strong and if that’s the only way we can be beat, they should do it
Indeed, but is hard to accept this, asking to another server and doubling forces, it show that they have only numbers and no strategy, no strengh, no pride.

Well said OP, the game is going in a direction that it wasn’t the original vision.
Probably Anet is trying to gather WOW players, but the history teach that everytime someone try to copy WoW it will fail hard in the long run. Is already happening, lot of people had leaved the game disgusted.
Really Anet, remove the item progression, there is already a lot of wow clones around, you are still in time to back to your original vision and save this game.
Improve DE, rewamp WvW, ,more content, these are the thing you should focus on, not the redundant item progression that will only hurt the game.
Anet, do a step back, for your playerbase and for people who follow your game since Gw1.

Hi, when you Anet will fix this bug? Is since laungh that is not solved yet.
Everytime there is an event, both in pve and WvW this issue happen, others players and opponents aren’t visible. Lot of times i died because this bug, when i have on me the zerg because they appear all of sudden.
My pc can handle 2 times this game so is indeed a code bug:
cpu: i7 2600k
ram: 8 gb ddr3 corsair
m/b: asus p8p67
Vga: Palit Geforce GTX 560 Ti (1 Gb ddr 5)
Any fix is very appreciated because, expecially in WvW, is pretty unplayable.

Again with the nightcapping? Is Elona so weak that the only way to conquer our keep is 5 am when everyone sleeping?
Why Anet don’t do anything about this issue ? I’m sick and tyred to wake up and see the map with 1 color, ther is no incentive to pvp at these conditions. If nightcapping isn’t stopped a lot of people will lose interest in pvp and leave.
