This little gem and the whole area that comes with it.
It’s okay to have 6 Guardians/DH
It’s okay to prefer traps and longbow to scepter and sword/torch whatever it is now dps wise
It’s okay to spend your hard earned money from your day job on fun things like gems.
It’s okay to like playing support or in-between instead of DPS (I’m looking at you random meta-guard who told me I was a bad player for not being full zerker guard and solo’ing fractals as a zerker instead of plodding along at my meditation build pace)
It’s okay to devote yourself to one guild.
It’s okay to play with many guilds. (Wow that sounds a little weird).
It’s okay to go a little batty and make spreadsheets for all the legendary recipes and precursor collections. I’m positive someone else out there does it too.
I’ve donated roughly 2500 lanterns to the guild hall so far and I’ll just keep going! The only thing I want out of all this is the ability to buy more than one at a time and to be able to salvage a stack or unit-stack (ie any stacked item like ectoplasms, either 2-250) in one go via that right-click and select (or click on it with the salvage tool active and it’ll ask you if you want to salvage all yes/no).
I’d post a collaborative effort of snowball transformations and poly infusers, but it’s a tad inappropriate for public forums.
It was highly entertaining to observe in Noble’s Terrace, however.
However there was one single screenshot viable for public viewing.
I find it is more interesting to go to GW2 efficiency and look at what value they assign to my account, and it measures it next to other accounts. It is a little side game to see if I can bring up my account value relative to other accounts. Every percentage point feels a little bit like an accomplishment. Making legendaries can really drain your assets, but it doesn’t feel as draining when you see your account value go up.
Ugh it’s like an obsession trying to boost that value is it not? My goal right now is to average above 100k, but as you see I only hit it twice so far. I’m a little obsessed with Legendaries and Ascended Backpacks.

The Dutch are weird.
Multiloot, oh Multiloot. As your time ticks away I can only wish you goodbye, my friend.
You were fun. You were frantic. You were lucrative.
You were hugely entertaining.
You brought together players from many walks of life.I’ll miss the superbly organised ones.
I’ll miss the chaotic ones.
I’ll miss the random ones.
I’ll miss “that guy”, who never quite grasped the concept and entertained us all in chat.
I’ll even miss the ones where the comms went mad with power. Kick, kick, kick.Multiloot, you were my fool, my friend, my lover.
Well, OK, maybe not my lover but I’ll miss you anyway. <sniff>And where will I get all my stuff stuff stuff now????
You do realize there is more meta events besides AB multiloot, right ?
you do realize where the multiloot was the only place where people bothered to communicate
You should try raiding
- Raiding with my guild: good communication
- Raiding with pugs:
what’s this, what’s that, there’s dead bodies everywhere. what’s this, what’s that, why is the boss still here.
What’s this, what’s this, there’s something very wrong
What’s this, there’s teammates fighting wrong
The raids are lined with corpses and everybody’s health is red
It’s wonder that the boss after all time isn’t even close to being dead
Everybody seems to think they’re in a different raid altogether
What’s this?
I sang this.
This might be beating a dead horse, but constantly improving my guild hall of [Cirq] is one of my passions in game. This Lunar New year I’ve made over 80 Lunar Arches, definitely over 80 Firecrackers, 60+ Ascalonian Trees, 15+ Gold Walls (oh lord do I HATE making Gold Walls) and the list goes on.
My only requests/suggestions/questions revolve around these:
+Area decoration limit. Why do we have this? The rumor that was passed onto me was in order to preserve other player’s processing, therefore you can’t have too many in one place.
+Decoration Cap. Why is there a cap? 2,000 may seem like an unending limit, but we’ve constantly had to monitor. About every few months one of us has to sit down and catalogue all of our decorations and math-out what’s out and what isn’t and what we can remove and preserve everyone’s pride/sensibilities for the areas they’ve decorated.
+Lunar New Year Decorations. Gong Xi Fa Cai! But why so limited? I’d love to make that GIANT Festive Arch that sits around the Asura Gate in Noble’s Terrace. I want to string Festive Lantern Strings (without placing 10 individual lanterns and finagling weird decorations so I can make it look like the strung lights) between all my arches and walls!
+Event-specific decoration bases. Clouds are only available during SAB, Pumpkins even though Candy Corn is available probably infinitely via TP is only available via Halloween. It puts a lot of pressure in a short time period to come up with gold to buy the necessary items or bribe someone else to donate or the time to farm. Why not make these available year-round, even if we don’t have SAB baubles to buy clouds? Maybe someone else does and we’re happy to pay them 25-50s a bauble to donate to the guild.
Now I don’t follow forums that often, so if this has all been addressed definitely and no-can-do we’ll just deal with it, but I feel that Guild Halls have so much room for expansion (especially if they can fix that "Close in 5 minutes gtfo to a new Guild Hall map).

Locations of the Tablets of the Unseen. Unfortuantely, we only have 8 squad markers, so the other 2 are myself and the personal waypoint.
He had it coming.

He only had himself to blame.
If you had been there. If you had seen it-
I BET THAT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME!
Because Mesmers just HAVE to be purple-pink and every time I look at my utility skills I blind myself. Yes I’m aware this does not include re-coloring the actual skill icon, but I can dream.

I’ve seen a lot more whining and kittening from free-to-play MMO on down times so I’m not at all annoyed by the whining and begging- it’s really minuscule compared to some others I’ve seen over 2 hour down times instead of all day like this one.
Good lord, I’ve been watching this thread since it started and only now have I been able to log in to reply.
As for the comments about GW1 down, I was on it all day-ish, so it definitely wasn’t completely connected.
Wow that was long and way too much backstory. Just make sure to put a preference for a “mode” in LFG, otherwise you’ll basically just get speed runs.
someone dropped venom wells on the servers during WvW reset, does anyone else see the ironic cheese in this?
Cheeze, and Whine. I am complete
Apparently, there’s a thing called Blue Wine now.
All of TTS went boom not 2 minutes after decap, so at least we got that!
Apparently reddit has 200+ posts inside of 3 minutes on it already.
Crash. Yay. All gather here and whine.
Forge the shards, there’s like a 1 and 50 chance of getting 50 shards in one go. That’s how I finished 2 spinal back pieces. Watchwork mining pick goes a long way to helping.
I’m saying she stayed online using no skills, only pet skills for far longer than an hour. I occupied myself with anime.
She timed out only for mob-breaks (usually in which she accidentally moved down the tunnel out of range) in which the afk-timer worked exactly as it should, which I guess I didn’t state clearly above.
I can verify personally that a ranger can AFK with just a pet, and not have Pact Commander completed and stay on for an indeterminate amount of time. I sat and watched my Ranger on another account with a freshly bought HOT, no auto-loot, stay on so long as mobs hit her and her pet could kill them.
She only logged off when there was a gap of time where mobs did not hit her. The auto-loot is not the main underlying cause. It could be damage in general. Furthermore, your pet’s damage in “Combat” system messages reads as such:
“You hit (x mob) for 240 using [Bleeding]”
“You heal (x pet) for 94 using [Natural Healing]”
“You critically hit (x mob) for 460 using [Maul]”
The cause of the AFK timer is not Auto-Loot, it’s skills via minions/pets. Pet damage is not showing as “Jungle Stalker critically hit (x mob) for 460 using [Maul].”
Edit: Both could be causes, but it is far more likely that the main cause of AFK timer disruption is skills, not Auto-Loot.
For me, it is Eternity.
It is a cost of 2 legendary, a uncontrollable skin change mechanics and a glowing handle.
I preferred to keep my Sunrise and Twilight instead.
Besides, I also vote for Moot and Quip. Mace supposed to be more like a Paladin weapon to me, Moot looks like a joking weapon instead. Same goes for Quip, its looks like a toy than a weapon. I just prefer more serious looks.
That’s why I made Twilight and Sunrise, unlocked the skins, made Eternity, then sold Eternity.
If you use Guild Hall, sucks to be you if you have Lost Precipice, and you didn’t unlock Glider first!
Or, self-insure your own guild bank by not inviting anyone. Sure you have 500 limit a week but plan ahead accordingly like adults do in real life and you should be fine.
The platforms are a huge must, there’s no other item that works as a large flat surface.
I think, 18 Platforms, 9 Ramps, 1 Super Tree, 1 Super Rock Wall… we didn’t plan it out it just kind of went on organically. Each decoration uses 32 Super clouds I think. About 928 Super Clouds in the bigger pieces. Rough idea anyways. We have 761 Clouds at the moment with 667 placed which comes out to 1689, so I think there’s a few more decorations somewhere… That I can’t recall at the moment. I’ve made myself a nest in the guild vault and got another gigantic staircase that goes from the Central Hollow Waypoint and ends about third of the way up the Heaven staircase (you can glide from one to the other).
Well, we got a bit obsessed with decorating our guild hall. And then this happened. We used over 1700 clouds and various other decorations to create our Sky City! It’s a bit of a work in progress but the groundwork is laid.
It originally started out with our “Stairway to Heaven” and morphed into “How high is too high?” The statues of Dwayna and PvP are as high as you can go in the map. It’s roughly 28,600 feet from the top of the map to the Central Hollow Waypoint. Currently Mister’s working on a jump puzzle around the platforms!
Most of the placement, production and tedious hours were done by MisterSinfully and myself, MissSinfully. Generous contributions of clouds and materials by Gammapulse, Hex Blackthorne and more guildies!
We’d love any other ideas you have! We’re kind of low on clouds, so inventive is good!
We would love to also have the restriction of decorations in an area to be removed. As I’ve been told, it’s in place because it would inhibit other players’ frame rate to have so many decorations, which I don’t think is fair to the rest of us.
Screenshots from Lisith (MisterSinfully).
Edit: Actually I think I see why you flew off the handle. You probably read my second post as being sarcastic, but I was being genuine. You really can just stand in front of any non-boss enemy and go make a cup of coffee. I’m not exaggerating! I honestly think you could win with autoattack if you were completely naked with no armor, but I haven’t tried. Would be an interesting experiment.
You really did come off as kind of a kitten-kitten. Just saying.
I would suggest thief or guardian.
For Guardian, “Retreat” (Shout type, utility skill, will be a 7,8,9 slot skill) is around 25-32seconds depending on your build and boons, and has a comparable cool down. If you lug around a greatsword, 3 is a good leap to cover ground.
——-For Retreat “early” train Shout Line first, it’s your second skill.
Thief using short bow, can use the 5 skill and your utility skill “Shadowstep/Shadow Return” to leap forwards. I like to change my General Settings to “Lock Ground Target at Maximum Skill Range” to enabled so I don’t have to wait for the circle to turn green from being “in range.” It will automatically stop your cursor at the farthest point you can take the skill. on Shadow Step, don’t actually USE Shadow Return unless you need to go backwards.
——-For Shadowstep “early” train Deception Line first, it’s your second skill.
(I do not agree this is a lousy way to get around, you just need to aim well, just don’t land on a mob).
I love looking at this game. I love running around and seeing every little nook and cranny and beautiful little hole they built into it. I’m also a big believer in moving fast. My Retreat is 32sec duration and 32sec cool down, basically I can have infinite swiftness without swapping to staff. However staff is also an easier way to stack swiftness with Retreat- but that’s the only reason I have a staff, for Silverwaste Chest runs. I don’t use it for any other reason.
I don’t agree that every class is equally mobile. Mesmers bug the crap out of me. Even with Signet of Inspiration (utility skill), your Temporal Curtain (focus 4) is 12 seconds of swiftness. With my Retreat, I have 32 seconds of 33% swiftness. If I choose to use Staff to augment, I have 26 seconds of 33% swiftness (non combat of course) with 6.5seconds of swiftness from Symbol of Swiftness (Staff 3) initially. However, should you STAY in the symbol cast by the staff for the duration of the symbol, your swiftness will stack to 27 seconds (6.5 seconds of swiftness for every second the symbol is there, which is 4 seconds unbuffed). 39 seconds from staff if you use Honor Line > Writ of Persistance. But this only applies if you remain in the symbol to stack the swiftness. If you’re on the move, the initial 6.5 seconds is plenty long enough to recharge Retreat. And you won’t have to change your build to use Writ (I prefer Pure of Voice, affects all shouts, including Retreat).
But don’t let me get too technical on you.
I don’t know about homosexuality, but a friend once pointed out he knew of a Norn and Charr couple npc in the game somewhere. No idea where they are though.
Actually, now that I see it’s a sharable slot between characters, I’m super excited. Silver-Fed Salvage-O-Matic between all characters? WOOHOO!
Build up karma, and purchase 1 or 10 at a time from “Cathedral of Glorious Victory” in Straits of Devastation.
Or farm Bandit Chests in Silverwastes. I tended to get 15-30 shards per run just opening chests.
God just looking at that link makes me feel creeped out with all those nonsense domains…
Is anyone else wincing at the phrasing of “Katana Dagger” and “Katana Sword?”
It’s like saying sword-sword and sword-dagger. A dagger in that style is a tanto and the sword, depending on length is a Wakizashi or a Katana.
Belinda’s Greatsword on the other hand, is more resembling a “Zanbato” which is a fictional/fantasy sword that’s uber long. Translates to somewhere around “horse-slaying sword” or “horse-chopping sword.”
Zanbato swords are most commonly seen in fighting-style anime, highlighted most especially by Bleach.
Anywho, just wanted to know if anyone else winced when they read that.

One of the problems I have, coming from a large guild, we’re at level 25.
I can’t even use the basic chair I bought to make a Fancy Chair (‘cause kitten I want a Fancy Chair to put in a little corner and sit in dangit). You need higher-officer permissions. A regular member can’t do it.
I think that’s a little silly (that you have to arbitrarily decide who can advance Scribing). So I’m sitting at around 140something.

It took me a while, but someone helped me out. Turns out the turn into the mini-jp was above the cavern you swim into and that’s why I couldn’t find it. I felt really dumb when the guy who helped me find it just swam up and over after I spent 10 minutes swimming around in circles in the bottom section.

So I just ran around the giant tree with the flax up top, I glided in from the beginning of the map, so I wanted to see how I was supposed to get up there, so I jumped down the mushrooms, but I have no idea how you get to where you were o.o
Sorry for the slightly necro post. =x
Love seeing stuff like this. I think the translation was pretty good- people saying it looks “nothing” like the in game versions are nuts.
While I have esthetic issues with a lot of armors there are enough that catch my fancy. Ascended heavy is one of my favorites, minus that ugly helmet. Carapace heavy is also great, minus the skirt. NO MORE SKIRTS!
But skirts are great for peeking feeling feminine!
Oh yeah .. please let after every 5 seconds fighting spawn some portals for 5 minutes
that would really be much fun o.O
Did someone say Shadow Behemoth?
You can buy an extractor inside of Fractals on the second island to take out current infusions before you Infuse/Attune.
Conversely, I find a lot of people are annoyed that the Mentor tag resembles a Commander tag so much. If it was an apple on the map like it is above your head, I think it wouldn’t be as annoying. Has to do with grinding out the gold to afford a Commander tag and being assumed to know what you’re doing-
And considering you get a Mentor tag for only one mastery level, it’s really not hard to get, and that I think is also part of the affront some people find.
There is a bug where humans will randomly say “Lyssa Confound you!” And you know what? They’re right, I am confounded as to why they said that.
It’s not a bug, it happens if you use the Prayer to Lyssa skill.
Mm I never ever use Prayer to Lyssa on my characters. I hear it out of my Dragonhunter’s mouth every 30 minutes.
Dude you have no idea how much I want a Largos character.
Just the one Birthday Booster! I just celebrated my first year on this game =)
I think you should be able to customize however you want, whether it’s wannabe Drow or not. There is a very very dark practically black skin tone for humans though. You can get yourself a Make-Over Kit.
Actually, in the attached picture, if Drow is an aspiration, Dark 5 as a skin tone is more natural looking than a flat black like your glitched out picture, and Lily as a hair color is more natural-appearing than say, Celestial.
