how about this one…? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Soul_River_Glider
i already know your answer, yes it’s a gemstore skin, an expensive one too, but gliders are all gemstore items. if they started to make non-gemstore gliders, i highly doubt they would tie it to legendaries.

Change those horrible looking spells. Fix the awkward camera. The game feels extremely sluggish in combat. Eveything has a cooldown… Really?
could you be more specific about “horrible looking spells”? what classes or skills are you referring to?
i’m aware that there’s different tastes, but personally i find almost every single spell in this game well done and very detailled, the combat style isn’t sluggish but actually rather active.
some more insightful feedback would be nice.
there’s not only sylvari that follow the dream or join the nightmare court, there’s also the soundless, sylvari that follow neither the dream nor the nightmare court, they’re just a peaceful bunch of sylvari living in a village on a small island near mabon market in caledon forest.
there’s also people like malyk from the sylvari personal story, who has no connection to the pale tree, the nightmare court, or the soundless. there seem to be other groups of sylvari that we have yet to meet.
the sylvari characters that were made by players are most likely always going to be categorized as “good”, meaning not turning to mordremoth, at least according to the set lore in game.
what you do with your sylvari in your own role playing world is up to you however.
i could also be wrong about our sylvari characters never turning to mordremoth, who knows.

not too boring, not too fancy, perfect fit
What armor is that Mordoc?
winged headpiece,
acolyte shoulders,
illustrious doublet,
acolyte gloves,
aristrocats pants,
phoenix boots,
infused fractal capacitor as backpiece,
royal ascalonian sword + mystic pistol
How can you expect us to take the game seriously.
i think there’s your problem…
hello,
with the recent update, an LoS check for the elementalists underwaterskill “boil” (fire 2) has been implemented.
it is now impossible to hit any structures underwater, no matter from what angle.
below i have attached a screenshot where clearly nothing was obstructing my view, yet i couldn’t hit it anyway. not sure if its an issue with certain underwater structures or all of them (only further tests were done in mt. maelstrom with the same result, screenshot taken in caledon forest), i have no problems in hitting monsters underwater with it.
reward for what? we barely knew belinda, not to mention we kinda failed to keep her alive…
if anything, marjory should keep it and wield it, thus allowing anet to introduce the greatsword for necros (lol), or she gives it to kasmeer so she can summon some iZerks and push us over cliffs with iWave in case her portal magic is being blocked again.
edit: well, i’m glad to see how well the bb-codes work here…sorry for that fail, i’ll add one picture as attachment. if it wakens your curiosity, feel free to click on the link for the others…and yes, the little textlines i added are somewhat awkward, but bear with me, i tried.
welcome to the ascalonian catacombs, traveler.
let me be your guide~

i prefer mix-matching my armor, the existing sets usually have at least one part that i don’t like with the overall look in the end :P
here’s my elementalist…
head: feathered headpiece
shoulders: trickster’s mantle
chest: dry bones garb
gloves: trickster’s gloves
pants: primitive legwraps
shoes: trickster’s shoes
here’s mine, just goofing around :P

very whiney indeed…all they had to deal with was charr attacking ascalon, charr attacking orr, kralkatorrik laying waste to what was left of the ascalonian region…their ways of eliminating their enemies might be questionnable, yes…(the foefire in ascalon, the cataclysm of orr, logan thackeray abandoning his comrades in their greatest time of need), but humans went through alot more than people seem to realize here.
just stay with your norn friends worshipping their oh so great foe jormag then. :P
probably used vortex (spear#5) to pull everything and then surge (spear#2) for the burst…vortex alone doesn’t deal any kind of burstdamage.
ground-targetted skills like the curtain put you in combat if an enemy passes through it or steps into it.
if you threw the curtain and got slowed into combat speed, it is most likely that something chased you and ran through it too…this happens with guardians swiftness symbols too.
i like her eyes, they fit perfectly for her profession.
however, her chin seems overly round…maybe it’s just me but anyway, since she’s probably wearing her mask all the time it’s all fine, i’d give her 9/10.
and here’s my maincharacter, my mesmer Mor Lumînus.
i really like the hairstyle that he’s using, it’s somewhat unique (at least on my server), most human males run around with that long curly hair or that emo-cut…terrible, hate it.
you can apply 4 conditions (from 5 skills) while using deathshroud if you spec for it:
bleeding, chill, fear and torment
i think its fine the way it is and yes, im running a condition build myself.
what else would you ask for? (curious, not trying to bash you)
Yeah…. doesn’t sit right with me. Sylvari are too connected with life and nature to be necromancers imho.
why would sylvari be elementalists then, they could burn themselves easily with their fire attunement.
if i was you i would make a sylvari necromancer, you can make them alot more fancy looking with their cultural armor in my opinion.

you don’t have to to defeat scarlet in order to progress your map-completion for portalclosings, i finished my frostgorge sound map today even though my server didn’t even finish the second wave on it.
you really only need scarlet to be dead for one achievement.
if you insist on killing scarlet in frostgorge i can’t guide you to any server, farmers are likely to be found everywhere anyway….try a more crowded server i suppose.
discussions like these oddly remind me of diablo 3…
some players were complaining about content being too hard while others said it was fine the way it is and the hardcore players stated everything was too easy.
they ended up implementing an option to scale the strength of monsters up or down manually so everyone could play the game on a difficulty suiting to them personally.
adding such an option would indeed be an idea, then again maybe there would just be too many options to choose from… (which fight, which tier, which and how many gambits, what strength of monsters, … no way ^^)
and people make a valid point about achievements being “downgraded” that way, they fought their way through it the way it is now….making it all adjustable, especially making it easier, would indeed devaluate it.
i noticed some rather annoying graphical bugs on weapons too…
after i finally obtained the ghastly longbow (from the ascalonian catacombs) i was thrilled to see it glow with this flurry effect it has, at least in the preview…
guess what, this effect is visible to me for like once every 7 days, and then only if i dont shoot arrows with it…as soon as i start attacking, that flurry animation stops and wont return either, so basically the bow just switches colors from brown to blue at night and vice versa.
next bug is, when i use certain skills like barrage, after i stop attacking the bow would just keep up the animation of it being pulled and released, even though i’m not doing anything at all…can be fixed by using autoattack once, still kind of annoying, happens with other attacks too.
i still like the bow afterall, but the bugs that come with certain weapons (especially the nicer animated ones it seems…) make me want to think twice about getting weapons with fancy effects…
tl;dr: anet needs to work on weapon animations.
i usually try to revive people when i’m up there, even though many don’t seem to care about it and just use the waypoint either way…i can only assume these people are ashamed that someone saw them lose against an NPC or whatever, lol.
i agree with you though, they should’ve dealt with that differently….maybe send us out in (refreshed) downed state OR make the waypoint free of cost….i still don’t understand why i can travel freely everywhere in divinity’s reach except in that certain spot.
people insulting each other over votes on a game…
whoever came up with the idea of this votething did a good job in dividing the playerbase and bring out the “best” in the community…
i tossed my voting tokens after i got the achievements that required a button to be active, thanks for the achievement points anet, not even caring about what the votes affected.
i’d love it if they reworked the signet of inspiration:
- granting permanent 25% movement speed
- removing the random swiftness boon (i guess we can live without it in exchange for constantly being 25% faster…)
- still generates all other boons randomly
i bet its not gonna happen, it was still nice thinking about that possibility though.
nice, i just bought extra slots for my bank for nothing ^^
i’m not complaining of course, just feels like a waste now…had i known earlier…
…okay, i’ll just keep going my 50/50 way and get all achievements before the 2 weeks are over.
nice try though.
you can obtain a quartz-node for your home instance so i’m rather certain that even after the event ended you can still manufacture charged quartz crystals and complete the achievement.
many of the new craftable trinkets and equips require more than just a few weeks to be crafted anyway.
