Everything in the new update are things that I don’t even care about at all.
But, what I would care about is a new story/area, like in the Lost Shores.
Is this what they’re doing? Because to be honest, everything else they implement is barely worth mentioning.

They removed it cause of “clipping issues”, implying they actually believe there isn’t already an insane amount of clipping issues in the game
I had so much fun with it in the beta, I spent most of my time with my Guild in it. Even with my old crappy card that would run it at maybe 20fps, I still had a bit of fun.
I guess that was because it was actually balanced.
The two main things I’ve come to notice is how Gear based this is. It was supposed to be this thing that Anet talked about constantly: “Hey! you don’t have to PvE to level up! You can get XP from WvW.”
You can get XP in WvW (At an incredibly slower rate), though even setting foot in Wvw without max level or best gear is treacherous.
The second thing is the players popping in. I don’t recall this ever being an issue in the beta, but it seems Anet has leaned towards the “Hey we need to make sure everybody can run the game perfectly on horrible computers.”
And in doing so, you f’d it up for everybody.
Combining these two elements, I literally just got killed a few minutes ago by some character who took out over half my health without me seeing him. Then when he popped in I died nearly instantly because he is lv80 with max Arah gear and weapons, and I am a lv30 OF THE SAME CLASS, and got slaughtered.
You wonder why so many people haven’t been playing, spamming your Facebook with links to websites talking about “What to do when you hit level 80.”
I haven’t played in a month before today, because to be frank it got so ridiculously boring, this idea grows exponentially because none of my guild members play anymore. You literally tore the guild’s interest with bad game design.
Just fix it, honestly. The players popping in infuriates me more than the gear-based combat (Which you claimed wouldn’t exist in the almighty GW2 because that’s so primitive!). I feel as if I rant much on this topic, so don’t get me wrong, I am a Gw1 veteran, played for 5 years, but at least GW1’s PvP worked. WvW just doesn’t work.
Essentially, you took the whole reason I bought this game, and threw it in the trash. Won’t be getting any money from me any time soon, there are better games to play in this moment in time. Even giving it another chance, I did play with a few guildies in WvW, we got so bored so quickly because of the imbalance and invisible players that we were getting very angry while on Teamspeak and ended up just cancelling the whole thing.

In this area, the players get to stand up in towers and activate traps, and vote to decide how the bot Characters die.
After they die, the accounts are banned.
Once I heard of this I thought this would be an awesome idea for Guild Wars 2.
There are already many player activated traps in the game, so I know Arenanet could easily do this. It could make this whole problem a lot of fun for players and developers. I want to kill some botters…
They should have just kept capes.

The guild armor just looks so awful, it’s like a level 1 armor with a crappy bright emblem on it. It’s just horrible, nobody wears them.

Guardian plays no way like dervish.
Everybody thinks Guardian is like some huge tanked dude with tons of buffs that never dies.
Guardian’s only buffs are the virtues, really. And then, they suck.
Guardian is moreso Paragon, with the Shouts as buffs to allies.
This angered me so much. I was forced to go to a Data ripped site to view what items actually looked like…
Look at item.. minimize, search… go back in game, look at item.. minimize.. search…

About the whole “Everybody will be 80 with lots of money” thing…
I actually make and have more money on my Lv30 than on my Lv80.
This is because you (pretty much) still get the same amount of money from lv25-80, yet everything costs MUCH more on a Lv80. The curve is way too dramatic.
Dervish was my favourite class in GW1. I remember when they didn’t announce the 8th class, I crossed my fingers for Dervish. Nope, stupid Mesmers.
Nobody liked Mesmers. I still don’t think people really do.
Makes sense though since Gwen was a Mesmer.
Paragon would be epic too. Nobody likes Paragon either, but it was just too awesome.
Though spears are now being used for Underwater…

Backstab is a skill that doesn’t get used often, if ever. The point of it is to do lots of damage ONLY from Stealth AND by hitting in the back. You can’t whine about that whilst you get that 2-2.5k ALL THE TIME.
I played an ele in the beta and I didn’t really like it because you can’t swap weapons. Sure you can swap attunements but they’re all basically the exact same thing minus the DoTs that you put on them. It makes Daggers so useless, although they are cool, because you can’t switch from being Close range to Long range. So you just end up dying all the time if you use daggers.
Just… just go away.
The Controls in Guild Wars 1 were horrid.
This Suggestion would imply that they need to revamp EVERYTHING in the game. No, literally, EVERYTHING. No kiting anymore, no jump puzzles, no dodging etc.
This may be the worst suggestion I’ve seen, besides “We need to put eroge in the game”
Let’s take a useful ability and make it totally not unique by giving it to every class.
You know what? I’m tired of my guardian only being able to summon Spirit Weapons. Let me summon a Flesh Golem!

Ingenious idea.
It is not possible to reach these items because the area is filled with enemies… is that what you are asking?
So let’s ruin WvW by removing ALL NPCs so that people who aren’t even there to WvW and help out can get their stupid 100% completion a little more easily.
Also, if I see another fricken thread where someone is complaining about achievements that require them to do an activity they don’t like, my head is liable to pop. It’s an achievement. You are in no way shape or form compelled to complete it.
This reminds me of my real life friend who would rather play 10 hours of BS gameplay and repetitive tasks to get a OMGLOL IM 1337 Trophy on PS3 instead of actually playing the game and having fun.
The only reason Mass Effect does this is because if they don’t, their fans will whine about it because HxC Mass Effect fans are losers.
This isn’t a Japanese Eroge game.
Creating a bot that can click on a certain “Location” in programming is extremely easy to do, and therefore this wouldn’t work.
What good is a shield that doesn`t block? what good is a shield that doesn`t increase your defense by a good amount? Why in the world would they put a proctection buff on a shield instead of an aoe block? Would kind of make sense to block 3 attacks with your shield over seconds instead of just reducing damage by 33% wouldn`t you think?
That would be along the lines of warriors being able to equip a gun but only use the knockback skill with it. What`s the point of a gun if you cannot shoot it? what`s the point of a shield if you cannot block with it?
Give the shield a significant def boost and trash the protection buff for the focus block skill with an aoe effect. Then it might start to seem more like what a shield should be doing.
You need to think metaphorically and less logically.
Guardian: Guards people
Shield: Protects things
Therefor, the Guardian using a shield protects his allies, by putting “Protection” on allies, and by using the 5 to protect them.
The warrior’s shield blocks things, because they do not guard others. They fight for themselves, therefor they only block for themselves.
The Shield is fine, you are not supposed to spam those abilities anytime you see your allies being attacked, you have to carefully use it whenever they are facing a big attacks.
You are also not supposed to protect your allies all the time, this would make you something like a tank, which is clearly not intended. The guardian is the best defensive support in the game, that’s really enough.
10 seconds might be a little excessive. Maybe 14 or something. Most definitely not 40.
My Guardian is 80, and I play it a lot and I can say that most “Heavy” attacks don’t even count as projectiles, so the shield won’t block them. Things like traps in dungeons that launch PROJECTILES at you.
Besides, Arenanet admitted themselves they don’t like the way any of the classes are playing, and said the only one that “feels right” is the Warrior.
You can’t disagree with Anet.
All of the Avatars in GW1 would literally transform you into that god, or at least a representation of them (IE Avatar)
ALLof the human racials SUCK. Absolutely SUCK. Boring, weak, useless.
They should make them like the Norn abilities, and bring back Avatars.

Guardians don’t really work as intended because the Cooldowns on these shield attacks are WAY too long. 40 seconds before I can protect my allies for a few seconds ONLY from Projectiles?
With the way the Shield works now, the 5 needs to have a 10 second cooldown, and the 4, roughly a 8 second cooldown. Then the Guardian will truly be a Guardian.
The whole thing about the shield is that the shield represents Protection, and that the Guardian protects people.
Therefor shield Guardians protect people with their shields.
Arenanet got that part right, the whole metaphor, but the shield is nearly useless.
I don’t feel like a Guardian, and I find myself pulling out my Greatsword to just DPS
instead since the Shield is almost useless due to unnecessarily high cooldowns.
I picked Guardian because I wanted to protect people.
I wanted to help out those in need, and protect my friends.
But what I’m left with is no way to protect them at all, forcing Guardians to roll DPS.
Guardian is exactly what it says. A Guardian protects people.
The 4 gives Protections to your allies.
The 5 knocks back all enemies in the area and creates a bubble that lasts a good amount of time (If you time it).
This bubble then reflects all projectiles from entering the bubble.
For example, my guild loved me to death when I found out that in Ascalonian Catacombs Explorable Mode, the first Boss’ attacks can be blocked as he throws projectiles which pull you into an instant kill.
So we timed everything perfectly and I PROTECTED (Hint word protected) then from the attacks with the Shield of Absorption (key 5) and nobody got hurt.
The shield works great, HOWEVER for some reason the cooldowns are WAY too long.

It depends what race you played.
When I went with a friend to do their Norn personal story, I instantly hated everything about the Norn. Besides just being big humans, they’re just such horribly written characters with terrible scripts. AHA! I KILLED THIS BIG BEAST! I AM GLORIOUS AND HAVE BUILT MY LEGEND! kitten SVANIR!
I enjoy the Charr, although it is kind of boring when it’s just “Hey bro I can kill you faster and better than you can kill me.”
Asura is funny. Oh Shrieksy… you cute little raptor.
Sylvari I found was kind of boring, until I got to Charys. She’s so stupid that’s it’s funny.
Oh and Caithe is a lesbian
Human I find kind of hard to like just because I think Logan is a little b**ch, because he is. Though they are easy to relate to because we ourselves are humans.
GW2 wanted to remove the need to kick players from the guild, as you can be in as many guilds as you want at once.
The problem is with a player cap it doesn’t really work, so I vote for this suggestion.

People need to get out of this hoarding mindset.
You don’t need every super cool looking weapon in the game.
Get one and be content with it.
Legendary is what it is : Legendary. Do you know how stupid it would be if anybody and everybody had one? They wouldn’t be legendary. They would be the norm, and would lose their epicness.
I don’t really care about the requirements for them, because I don’t want to get them.
I want to enjoy the game.
That’s really the key thing. An absurd amount of MMO players forget that games are for fun, and instead want to fill the hole in their hearts with ingame loot.
Just have fun for once.

Literally every item you touched on is a really crappy component in World of Warcraft.
Get with the times man, WoW is dead, old, and GW2 is great and the new route of MMOs.
They need to modify or either remove the Orbs of Power. It seems a server gets propelled to victor just by having them, and obtaining them really isn’t hard at all. It’s easier than raiding a Keep actually.
The issue is nobody playing due to lack of morale. Having a giant pie-shaped thing saying THIS IS HOW MUCH YOU’RE LOSING BY YOU ALL SUCK is not very motivating.
They should have a sort of “cap” like you said, but with what the player sees. The overall points will remain hidden until the Leaderboards come out, and every time a server gets to 5000 or so points (whatever this cap is) the server’s score gets set back to visibly be 0, and 5000 points is added to the Leaderboard’s database for the server.
This will encourage more people to play all the time. A lot of the time actually I decide not to play because the pie shape is hugely in another servers favour and they’re ahead 100,000 points.
That, and that stupid glitch where people won’t even appear. Getting killed by invisible players is SO fun. I got a new graphics card for a reason, Arenanet.
I like that idea… it keeps you focused on actual combat instead of trying to hit every enemy at least once so you can gain charges.
After more testing I’ve realized that the charges CONSISTENTLY get glitched out and never get added, with no rhyme or reason.

At first, I had no idea it existed. The patch notes surfaced this for me. The idea sounded cool to me, summon a minion that is unique to this Sigil.

What I came to find out was the horrid execution of how this sigil works.
1. The time it takes to build up 26 stacks of the sigil is WAY too much. It simply does not activate enough. The complaint of this is related to…
2. .. The damage is alright, but on the flip side of this it dies INSANELY fast. If you’re fighting a group of enemies (which you should be to be able to even get 26 stacks fast enough.) the most common execution is you hit 26 stacks then it gets summoned and dies extremely fast due to AoEs.
3. It “unsummons” itself after roughly 1 minute. It takes an extremely long time to even summon it. When it does, it usually dies extremely fast. If it doesn’t die, it lasts a minute. Really? This Sigil started out sounding interesting, but after using it it is so useless.
4. It is glitched anyways. After summoning for the first time, it will never count charges up again until you rezone.
The 26 charges aren’t needed. The only reason I see this to be this way is to avoid some sort of manipulation by summoning a huge army of these things, which is impossible anyways because they die after 1 minute.
So, a few suggestions.
1. Much larger time limit. Maybe 10 minutes. All this needs to be is a failsafe to prevent abuse, not something to make the sigil near useless.
2. Lower charges needed. 26 is WAY too excessive.
3. More health. It’s pointless if it dies right when it gets summoned.
4. Needs to be fixed (glitch I mentioned).
5. I heard the PvP version removes the charges on weapon swap… WHY? You’d think since you kill much less people in PvP you would lower the charges, not make even more ways to remove them. You also go down in PvP all the time…
Fix this Sigil, make it not so useless. Any and every other sigil is better.
