Yeah…seems to be working ok. Not sure what happened before…i blocked multiple people and could see what map they were on. Does linked servers count for guesting?

so apparently now when you block poeple in wvw you are now able to see what map they are on. Figured it would let you guys know because this change wasn’t documented on any patch notes.

do they still support wvw?

The biggest mistakes Anet did is by allowing under lvl 80 in pvp to join ranked and adding ascended set as reward for new currency. now those newbies are bringing others down.

About them PvE players tho – they are usually easily recognizable. Pve-titles, pve-pets on rangers, pve builds overall (like staff ele and some crazy poop like axe-axe warrior). The main problem is that so-called “players” don’t even want to learn – they never bothered with guides, builds and at least basic training; I bet 99.99% of them are terrible in PvE too and cannot do raids because golem dps check is too complicated and bothersome.

So it is not even “hate”, I just simply despise that low-effort, brain-dead joke of a players.

and i also asked other eles on the official forums regarding the hate i got and I was basically told → staff isn’t bad, people are just toxic

Can you explain to me why you say that staff ele is a pve build thing?

so i am trying out pvp on ele. I have a staff build that seems to be doing ok. The last match i was in i was called a kittening idiot and was told to stay in pve. I had most healing and most revives(they kept dying). I checked out the metabattle site and my build is very simliar to tempest d/f auramancer. Am i really hindering my team that much by using staff instead of d/f?

Just go underwater where consume condition cast time changes to 1/2 second. Not sure why there is a difference underwater.

Will we be able to get the HOT armor/runes with the wvw update with wvw currency? We can get the pre-hot armor with badges in wvw so it would make sense that we should be able to get the hot armor with badges as well. I would also think that because you can’t buy the new runes on the tp and currently only can do the pve maps, that they should also be available via wvw currency.

reapers and druids are different classes which is why they have different mechanics that don’t operate exactly the same.

i encountered this yesterday. I’m in ruby and someone on the other team was grouped up with an amber. I find out today that the amber person is a streamer who has gotten to legendary multiple times with multiple accounts. I guess I can’t really blame the streamer for the bad queue times that legendaries have to deal with but it still kinda sucks when they are fighting people that aren’t at their skill level. Maybe anet will do something about it for next season.

I would use your corrupt boon more often though….its very useful.

the #3 in ds does give stability(for stomping)……you can also hit it again to aoe fear(maybe to help prevent a stomp).

I think alot of it boils down to simply knowing the skills and knowing when to use them which will come with experience. Look at the tooltips and just think about situations where the different skills can be applied.

also another thing to look into for necro is the combo fields you can do in ds. the #5 will put down an ice field that you can leap/whirl finish with which is effective.

Friday please. I would prefer the old time but i understand that might not work as well for those on the west coast for NA so i’d be ok with the later time you posted(this is coming from someone in central standard time zone).

population imbalance…..are there enough people still playing for this to be a priority?

at this point i don’t really put too much stock into what anet says and form all my decisions on what i actually see. At this point I don’t expect any sigificant wvw changes for i’m guessing maybe at least 6 months so i’m exploring other games at the moment. I might come back when it improves if i’m not enjoying the other games i’m playing.

We’ve avoided adding this feature because we don’t believe it would be healthy for WvW. While we can appreciate why some players would want a feature like this, lots of other players only engage in WvW when, upon entering a WvW map, immediately see a commander icon to follow. We try and avoid adding features that can be used to intentionally exclude other players.

The people asking for the private tags are the people who don’t want pugs following them. We aren’t asking for you to remove the current commander tags(keep them as they are so pugs can follow them). I think having pugs follow a group that doesn’t want them might be more frustrating situation for both the pugs and the group than giving the option for squad tags.

Thank you, the Redragon Perdition now looks the gaming mouse for me – they are for sale here in UK on eBay and get many good reviews on Amazon. They even cost a lot less than a used Naga i was thinking of buying.

I use this one for gw2 and i spend alot of time in wvw. It will serve you well.

i took a break from pvp because i was finding it frustrating before. I tried today after the update and first match some pug on my team dcs and doesn’t come back. We lose and i lost a pip. I think i will continue to be staying away from this part of the game until things improve more.

In regards to if anet is ok with esl players abusing the ranking system…..until they actually do something about it I’m guessing they are ok with it(sadly).

In regards to OE, i was in a match against him a couple days ago and he was only a couple tiers higher than I was in emerald. He was streaming and I saw he was only duo queuing and i would not consider this abusing the system.

I actualy agree because ppl from higher leagues are anyway matched up with lowers so whats even point to have leagues? System works basicly same as before now its just make ppl even more angry then before when they lose. Loosing progress isnt fun.

As of Sapphire 3 I have not seen a single Amber since leaving Emerald.

OP: Removing pips keeps people from pushing up divisions with a sub-50% win rate. The entire idea behind the system is that you move up divisions when you’re significantly better than your peers. If you’re only treading water, winning every other match, then you’re exactly where you should be. That’s how the system is supposed to work.

isn’t mmr suppose to match you against equally skilled players at which point ideally everyone is going to be “treading water” no?

I am hoping someone can explain what i’m missing. If ideally you are matched up with people with the same mmr your win/lose ratio should be like 50%. How did anet think you were going to progress in leagues with a win/loss ratio of 50%? Please tell me i’m missing something here because that doesn’t make sense to me.

Before xpac i played on my necro and was able to tag players and get loot. Since xpac i have been playing on my rev and started getting back into wvw and while i am getting xp for the kills, it seems like the loot isn’t dropping nearly as much. Did something change for this that i’m not aware of?

So i get to the blighted pale tree fight and after a couple attempts all my armor is broken. I leave to pvp and go to la to repair(i couldn’t find any other place to repair it). How do I get back in the quest?

I have things usually going on during the day on weekends and my evenings are the time I can play. This will prevent me from being able to enjoy reset.

I know the thing says that “You can buy 1 more at this price” but I thought that was per account. I bought the unicorn finisher for my one account last night. This morning when i switched over to my second account i am getting the “You have already purchased the maximum number of this item” and I did check and it is not unlocked on the second account. Am I missing something?

after not getting a coat for the last couple days of trying, I decided to keep track of my attempts today. So far, 6 tries in 4 hours. They did respond on a post in the other forum. They pointed the finger at everyones ISP. Which is odd since I can concurrently download 11 mb/s from my Newsreader account but yet cant get 1kb/s stable from their patch server. Their updates broke something.

I might be wrong but I think comcast is routing us really badly to anet. I guess i am going to wait and see if this get resolved(and secretly hope anet sees this and complains to comcast) because dealing with comcast customer service blows.

this is a little beyond my knowledge but I found a website that did a proxy trace to the ip 174.35.56.217(i found this ip in my performance manager that gw2.exe is trying to communicate). This might be helpful.

It got my updater loaded and now it is downloading the patch at 100-200 KB/s . Worth a try anyways.

this happens to me alot recently. I just close it and reopen and eventually it goes but it is still annoying.
