In PvE rev has much better healing than warrior? Not sure where “sustain” comes into the picture.
I’ve never calculated it out for the Rev… but for the Warrior:
At 0 healing power, with Healing Signet, 3x Adrenal Health, and Banner Regen:
=382+495+130= 1007 health per second.At 1k healing power, with Healing Signet, 3x Adrenal Health, and Banner Regen:
=432+555+255= 1242 health per second.And that doesn’t take into account possible shout heals or stun-break heals.
Does the Rev actually have better PvE heals? I’ve not bothered with the Rev much at all, so I honestly don’t know.

I made this video for fun. It was originally intended to poke fun at how wars were terrible in pvp before we got buffed but I never got around to making the video until recently >.>. So yes its a for fun video, don’t take it too seriously and enjoy.

I find that this bug happens when you lose target right as you start your 100b. Easiest way to test this is to have someone stealth right as you 100b, 100b will go on a forced cd with it showing you swinging the sword once and then stopping. This bug has been here for ages already, don’t even remember when this was introduced.

I like the new speed. It lets bases fortify in a more reasonable amount of time than before. Don’t want to deal with the forts fortifying? Take them out early, or go for the camps (And eat my ballista)
Well speaking from a roamer perspective, specifically for the SW camp supplying bay, its actually difficult to kill the yak when speedy yaks is active IF you are by yourself or the ppl killing it lack movement impairing condi. And if someone is walking the yaks too, its almost impossible to kill it due to the sheer speed of the yak and the increased def.

As you can see in the video, the skill is bugged where the actual aoe radius is smaller than the green circle. Only golems closer to the centre took damage while those further out in the circle didn’t. Please have a fix for this by HoT

I agree with this. Our current adept or tier 1 traits for strength are all incredibly situational, first one for jps, second for stacking night in pve perhaps, and third for wvw and spvp rampage and bulls charge. The problem with the line is that the master and grandmaster lines are too good to miss out on, forcing us to use a sub-par adept trait.
Speaking from a wvw perspective, I rather not take bulls charge since it seems to miss 90% of the time by overshooting and whatever other bugs you ca think of; and rampage is pretty strong especially in team fights with the cleave it provides, but I prefer sor in solo roaming. But in order to make full use of my traits, I would usually end up having to slot one of the two skills.
In general the adept traits just feel like some dev just threw all the leftover traits they couldn’t find a place for in here. Perhaps restorative strength could be swapped with empowered (if I remember correctly it’s the trait in tactics that grants 1% more damage for each boon on you).

Pve>wvw since no one plays solely wvw. They must protect the pve aspect of wvw to keep drawing players in.

+1 Same issues, pvp and wvwvw are unplayable for me right now, PVE, can get by but the spikes really kill the fun. Location; SEA.
yeah same, im in SEA too and the lag has been unplayable lately. ping is 200+ for me which i can get by with usually but now it feels more like 500+ ping with the constant random skill delay. strange thing is this lag only started recently and not immediately after the big patch

Not sure if this can be replicated but this happened to me and another warrior while dueling. Endure pain was up but arcing slice simply just cut through it and did damage still. And no it isn’t a lag issue as other people confirmed they saw the skill proc for endure pain with icon and it went on cd. Both times the warrior with endure pain was around 5-7k hp/20% or so and the warrior doing arcing slice had berserker power trait as well.

Sorry I haven’t been on much so a very late response here. I think there are some very valid points here so I will try my best to discuss them.
1) Changing/losing the password:
With regards to changing the password, I think that the old system of having to input the password first before you can change it should solve most of the issue. Ideally, only the guild leader should be able to change the password, then he/she can choose who to give the password to. This password will then give whoever has it, full access of the bank. So if the guild leader is careless and gives it to many people and results in the guild bank being trashed, that is the result of their own negligence. The guild bank password is to protect the collective efforts of what the guild has decided to deposit. With regards to password being lost, I honestly don’t have a good suggestion for that but I think custom arenas are also the same?
2) Access:
As mentioned, I think that the password should give full access to the entire guild bank. And it will only apply when you are trying to withdraw items/money out of the guild bank. In the ideal situation, you just have to key it in once per login but I’m no programmer so I don’t know what is the best way to go around programming this.
3) Why have guild bank password when you don’t protect your own account? It’s your own problem!
I think its a good point. But sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and result in information being compromised. And personally I think that have an additional safety barrier is better than nothing. It is easy to tell others that they should have done X but sometimes they just don’t expect it to happen to them until its too late and this results in not just the hacked account in losing items, but also people who invested in the bank. At least with the guild bank password, it would limit the damage somewhat.

A while back, my guild leader got hacked and the entire guild bank ended up being cleared out. Though the account got rolled back, the guild bank wasn’t for understandable reasons. However, it got me thinking of what if we were allowed to put passwords on guild banks as an additional safeguard to protect it. One can argue that limiting the member’s position is one way of protecting the guild bank but as stated, what if it was the guild leader/high ranking member that gets hacked? By adding an additional password, hackers will have a harder time destroying the hard work that guilds have built up in their banks since the password of the bank will probably be different from the password of the hacked account.
The way that the password would work in my opinion, is that you just have to key in the password for the first time you access the guild bank in that day. Or whenever the guild bank is accessed.
So what are your thoughts about this?

- Updated condition damage. Previously, a condition that had a fractional remainder of time after it dealt damage would not inflict the rest of its damage. For example, a 1.5-second burn would deal 1 second of burning damage, then fail to inflict the remaining 0.5 seconds of burning. Conditions will now deal this fractional damage either at the beginning or end of their duration, depending on when the next damage pulse would occur and their remaining duration.
I think conditions are still broken. Etc burns from my guard are ticking inconsistently at times still. Would be helpful if someone can post kitten of this happening cause I didn’t ss at that point ><

One does not need be a lifer at the game to see the Warrior mechanics are failing and cannot compete at the same level as the other top classes in pvp. The Warriors greatest defense was his ability to pressure his opponent with dps, now they have far less DPS and no real defensive abilities and low healing.

Really appreciate this as someone whose been playing Sw/Sh + LB recently. I really need to save up for Hoelbrak though. Been playing with Melandru from when I was playing GS/Hammer and it could use some more Might.
I think melandru is a pretty powerful rune set as well but hoelbrak definitely works btr for sword/shield+longbow as there is multiple source of might: from swap, blasting fire field and fire shield combo from leap. But the build is pretty flexible and can be changed and adjusted easily to meet your preferences, hoelbrak isn’t a must to have for the build. It just complements it and makes it more powerful in a sense imo (I think I’m contradicting myself here lel but w/e I’m slpy ><)

So recently I’ve been thinking about the build I use in sPVP. I could use some critique, advice or simply some opinions on it.
I personally think it’s a pretty good build and I’ve managed to engage and slay successfully pretty much anything out there excepting some bunker eles and turret engineers ( which I have a high amount of difficulty with for obvious reasons – turrets and many condi clears).
What are your thoughts?

Note : I did not come up with this – I found it a while ago posted on these forums and changed a few things.
Imo, u shld take 2 points out of arms and drop it into discipline line and get burst mastery for btr synergy with the longbow. Also running doom on 2 weapons is unwise and a waste as it has a 9s cd and u have 5s weapon swap, u can juz run it on one weapon, freeing up 1 sigil slot. Also try using sigil of torment over earth, giving u more variety of condi pressure since currently u only have 3. An energy sigil can also be used for more active damage mitigation since you don’t have vigor or endure pain. Deep strike isn’t rly a good trait imo, furious reaction is a much btr choice again imo.

To help/answer your question, it would help greatly if you told us what exact game mode you are speaking about (I assume its mostly likely spvp since u mention turret engi, also turrets technically aren’t living things to answer the cc/condition question) and link the build you usually run so we have an idea what you use.
Based on what you say, you say die quickly so that seems to suggest you are wearing/traited not in tanky aspects which means you should be doing damage. And yet you say you hit like a wet pillow. This is confusing and hence, why you should link what you run so we have a better idea.

I’m happy with the fix but I hope they will fix Bull’s Charge too. That utility is so vital for my build and it either misses or over-extend after the knockdown. Again, thanks Arena for finally fixing these issues.
PS: I hope Greatsword #4 Blades trail should get a speed update just as thieves got speed update to dancing dagger. This skill travels way too slow to tag a fleeing enemy.
Yeah I agree with fixing bull rush and gs #4. Heck I was standing still in wvw and some warrior tried to bull rush and overshot, couldn’t help but juz laugh lol. Imo, this ‘balance patch’ feels lacking and underwhelming compared to the previous patches.

So as the title says, will there be public testing for the map like what was done for EOTM? After all I read somewhere that at PAX east players can try out the expansion or something. And good groups don’t want warriors more than thieves in dungeons. Pugs do.
Most inconveniences that cost time in dungeons can be resolved from stealthing with thieves or porting the party with a mesmer.
Warriors have some of the lowest personal DPS out of all classes, but some of the best offensive support. In other words, they do trash damage but make everybody hit better.
You are full of it. Most of the warrior’s skills damage coefficients are at or above 1.0. A good chunk of them are around 3.0 and they have the highest coefficient of any profession skill in the game at 5.5 total.
And on top of these neat little numbers, wars have:
- Highest HP and armor tier.
- Most weapon combinations.
- Rivaled in best mobility with thief
- Most access to control effects. Total available is 21. Max amount of CC access a warrior can have at a time is 15 control effects with Hammer, Dual Mace or Mace/shield, Bull’s Charge, Kick, Stomp, Death from Above and Rampage. (Earthshaker, Staggering Blow, Backbreaker, Rifle Butt, Skull Crack, Pommel Bash, Tremor, Shield Bash, Repeating Shot, Whirling Strike, Bull’s Charge, Kick, Stomp, “Fear Me!”, Kick while drowning, Hammer Toss while downed, Death from Above and Rampage. Rampage has Uppercut, Kick, Throw Boulder and Seismic Leap.)
- Most access to stunbreaks. (A warrior can have access to all of their stun breaks at a time by equipping Shrug It Off, Defy Pain, Last Stand, Stomp, Dolyak Signet and Frenzy. Guard comes in second with their 3 utilities and Shielded Mind totaling up to 4 maximum at a time.
- Best “Burst Heal”. By that, I mean how much HP is healed in one go, not healing over time. (Healing Surge)
- Best Weapon Swap traits. (Fast Hands and Brawler’s Recovery)
- Most access to passives. (Dual Wielding, Berserker’s Might, Burst Precision, Berserker’s Power, Dual Wield Agility, Blademaster, Adrenal Health, Dogged March, Cleansing Ire, Empower Allies, Empowered, Slashing Power, Attack of Opportunity, Short Temper, Precise Strikes, Critical Burst, Deep Strike, Furious Speed, Furious, Rending Strikes, Last Chance, Thick Skin, Sure Footed, Vigorous Return, Cull The Weak, Defy Pain, Spiked Armor, Leg Specialist from spear auto, Desperate Power, Stronger Bowstrings, Shrug It Off, Phalanx Strength, Thrill of the Kill, Warrior’s Sprint, Destruction of the Empowered, Heightened Focus, 6th Signet access (because everyone has 5 save one profession))

And as for your points above, I’m just gonna say that while they are true somewhat, you can’t have most of them at the same time or it is simply not viable to run them. Like who would want to run a full cc warrior besides for that one boss in coe that has to be cc permanently for speed runs?

Definitely a bug on Green BL on the EU servers. We haven’t had a dolly spawn to go into north hills since the matchup began.
This does not seem to be a consistent bug, cause ytd when I logged on my home bl (red), blue capped hills and had the NE camp while we owned garri and a yak spawned from the camp and went towards hills. Could someone confirm with me if it is only the home side that doesn’t have yak spawn but when others cap the yak does spawn?

I decided to make this topic to create more attention for bugs currently found in WvW and to create a place to consolidate all the bugs in one place so the devs can have an easier time to find them as well. Note that what I am going to list is not exhaustive, only ones that I can currently think of. If you can think of more, please do leave a comment and I will edit them in as well.
1) The watergate of garrison is still weak and practically paper even after having the reinforced gate upgrade. This was even after it was said to have an increase in defense in March 2014 (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-March-18-2014).
2) Thieves can endless cloak and dagger off walls. This was briefly patched a few months back but a subsequent patch broke it again.
3) Not getting credit for capture of objectives. I don’t know the cause of this but this can occur even when you get credit for destroying the gate/wall+lord kill+being in circle.
4) Garrison permanent upgrade progress bar. Somehow this event bar doesn’t disappear during some upgrades, even showing after garrison has hit max upgrades. Again I don’t know the cause for this.
5) Yaks having an increased run speed when returning to camp from a tower which is not consistent with their character speed on map and on screen, causing the yak to be actually much further than what it shows on map and screen. This seems fixed somewhat recently but I think I still see the bug happening sometimes, I’m not sure. (not confirmed)

And yeah I actually used this build when celestial first came out due to the high crit dmg it gave but after the nerf in april, I went back to axe/shield+gs. Then sept patch came and kittened up bull rush and mobility skills in general so I went back to longbow/gs. This build is more of sustaining vs the condi builds but yes axe/shield would work as well. But when the evis can miss when u are rite in their face, i rly dont know whether i shld even use it anymore like bull rush. Its like a waste of burst/skill.

Well looking at how majority of the WvW community was against siege disabler and Anet still implemented it and what was the result? “I told you so” response from the community and they changed/nerfed it slightly months later. Likewise, the removal of white swords will probably be the same. Jan 13 can’t come fast enough

I was looking through some of my screenshots of gw2 and found some of my old screenshots okittenward poses/statues that occur after being hit by basilisk venom while casting a skill. So I thought why not make a thread to show all the awkward poses we all encountered at some point? So share your pictures and maybe have some laughs!
As a side note, I have no idea where this thread should be but figured profession balance is best since it technically affects all professions.

Alright so to clear some things up, there are 2 reasons why I put that mes ‘fight’ in the clip. First is to make fun of how PU mes relies so heavily on the opponent literally killing themselves that when a war just stands still, he can just outheal the scepter attacks. Second, I personally dislike/hate PU condi mes or any condi class in general cause imo, its cheesy as kitten and really I don’t see much support for condi classes beside those who play it but that might be just me. Nothing was targeted at the player itself, my comment was targeted at the class mechanics. Now any further and this will completely derail the thread so I’ll stop here regarding that.
Yes for the necro fight I made mistakes, but that is my point, I am no perfect warrior as I said, at most I consider myself to be an average warrior, heck I never once claimed myself to be a good/best/great warrior did I? But I want to show that even though I make mistake, I can still recover from them and try to turn the fight around. And yes I do not have much experience fighting condi necros which is why I made so many mistakes, I was just focusing on avoiding the signet of spite mainly.
And if you call my intro cheesy, then feel free to give a feedback on how to improve it instead of just calling it bad since you obviously think it can be better. And for a person who didn’t bother to watch the whole video, I’d say you are judging the book by it’s cover. I make videos so people can enjoy them, you don’t like it, then thats your choice. For the others who posted here, thank you for your more polite feedback.

Painful to watch, lol. I watched you pop all your CDs against that necro immediately, miss multiple skills for no reason and then miss your hundred blades even after it was apparent that bulls rush didn’t land. I stopped watching when you tried to bulls rush that Ele with stability. Ugh, gross.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And yes I show my mistakes and I am not afraid to put them in my video, after all, I’m not a perfect warrior, I will make mistakes from time to time. And making a mistake simply makes the fight more challenging for me and if I can pull off a recovery then it’s good is it not? But still, thank you for your feedback

Edit 2: now I even went back to rewatch my vid, I’m not sure what you mean by missing multiple skills? I am assuming you are talking about the necro fight here so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. If you mean dropping my longbow burst and blasting it with skill 3, I’m using it as either a guaranteed quick cleanse or might blast. If you mean firing my longbow 2 while blinded, that’s because it’s the quickest skill to cast to remove a blind as even the AA takes longer than it to cast. And I use 100b after bull rush combo still cause you never know when it might actually land with how buggy the patching is and I can always cancel by using gs skill 3. Against the ele fight which I assume is the 1v1, please tell me how I bull rush that ele with stability because he clearly evaded it, and the only other ele fight is the 2v2. And I even watched the 2v2 and couldn’t find 1 instance of me bull rushing on stability so please tell me where you got it cause I’m really curious if I’m blind or what

Well imo in wvw, hambow doesn’t rly work as ppl are not gonna stay in a circle and eat the aoes plus mobility is king in wvw. But with the mobility skills being so bugged out rite now, it is pretty kitten annoying >.>. And personally, hammer always felt too clunky for me to use ._.
