Why not make GvG a thing(this is GUILD WARS)? Earn legendary armor through that and satisfy a large part of the community (most who have already left). Then WvWrs will be happy since a large part of the skill groups also GvG. The sPvPrs will be happy because they could have a 5v5 gvg.

Make it a staple part like it was in GUILD WARS 1

Skip this game and go to a different one honestly. I’ve been playing since beta and the devs, while they have gotten better at listening to the player base, still suck at listening to the player base. WvW has largely gone untouched from what the community has asked for. PvP has gotten so much worse now that teams can’t play together and what not.

If you ONLY like PvE this game is 150% worth getting. The dev team gives an A+ in effort to making PvE an enjoyable gamemode. BUT if you want to play PvP and that’s your main enjoyment, pick another game.

GvG can EASILY be brought back. Make it a focus with game announcements about who won and what bonus they won their server like it was in GW1. Give them special guild hall decorations.

The new changes are interesting but stale. Over used. Abused. WvW Skill lag has been a problem since beta and they’ve yet to address it. GvG (WHICH LITERALLY COULD BE YOUR GOLDEN SPOON ESPORT) is still being ignored which has been asked for since beta. The only reason I continue to log is because I like the people I play with. Which has been true everytime I’ve started to burn out of GW2. Outside of PvE GW2 is largely the same that it’s been since original release… minus the stuff that most of the OG community didn’t want added in the first place (Linking, seasons, WvW Trait lines, hammers, weird kitten BLs) Just fix the core issues that you’ve had with WvW and you’re golden. Make GvG a thing like it was in GW2.

Yall just had a big meeting about how profits were down and you were going to start releasing xpacs faster and have more and more sales to make up for it… Why not fix the issues and add the kitten the community wants and bring back old players, who in turn will buy more gems, ect…ect…ect…

TBT, a brief history:

TBT started on AR as a break off from a PvX guild by El Cid who wanted to get more into WvW. After getting established we transferred off to a handful of servers trying to find our home. When archeage came out TBT took a break from GW2 and swapped games, but the true love of the guild never stopped being GW2. We’re currently on Tarnished Coast

With all the guilds out there, why join TBT?:

After playing this game since launch, running my own guilds and guild hopping. I can honestly say that TBT is the only reason I log and raid everyday. The bond and friendship in the guild is unreal and it really makes for a fun night. From joking around to getting serious about fights it’s a very friendly atmosphere that remains competitive in spirit. We can offer help to any player whether their new or experienced with: staying up with the meta, build tweaking, ability cast sequencing or whatever you need to succeed we can help you get there. Okay, now defend it in WvW. It’s still playing your prefered game type and earning kitten. Same should be available to PvP players.

I’m not asking them to be given. I’m asking for the opportunity to earn them.

We also get Tomes in PvP, why not HP? or PoH? PoH are easily earned in WvW, you just gotta level up your rank. 10 PoH = 10 HP.

Why shouldn’t I be able to obtain them in PvP? It doesn’t matter if they’re automatically unlocked. If I decide to go do a raid or go roam in WvW after playing 4-5-9-12 hours of PvP why should I have to go and zerg in WvW or do mind numbing events in PvE?

The answer is still very simple, add a reward track in PvP.

Hero Points are made to unlock all specifications in PVE and WvW mode, unlike sPvP, where you have straight away access to all those features. So you are not lacking on those.

Some features were added to make a mode attractive and challenging, so they had to be adequately modified/implemented.

Should you desire those specifications beyond your preferred play mode, you should enjoy the original way to acquire them.

Why would you want them in the first place? PVE content? Running some PVE metas to get Hero Points is done so easily and is actually more fun than waiting for a sPvP Q to pop.

“I don’t want to do PVE to get PVE items/features” but why do you want them, if sPvP does not require them?

Oh yeah, AP Achievements, and we are back at PVE.

Honestly, most current sPvP matches feel like a mix of PVE and “groundhog day”.

Because SOMETIMES I get bored of PvP and I want to go WvW(Roaming) PvE(Raid) and I can’t do it as effective as other players because my game mode type, unlike others, doesn’t allow me to earn HP. I’m not askign them to be given, I want the same chance earning it playing my game mode as other players.

You also don’t need levels in PvP, yet we get tomes.

A way to get hero points is the next logical step.

Many of us here may primarily be PvPers, but we also play other game modes. A PvEr or WvWer can come to sPvP and not be disadvantaged. They don’t have to worry about levels or gear or elite specs. At worst they might need to unlock an amulet/sigil/rune. But those are unlocked through gold which can be earned outside PvP.

PvPers wanting to get into the other game modes? We have to worry about levels, gear, and unlocking elite specs. But we’re not asking for those things to just be handed to us. We’re fine earning it. Just let us earn it in PvP.

Except playing PvP isn’t earning HP at all. PvE players still have to go out of their way to earn their HP, they aren’t just handed out. You should have to do so as well

We’d have to go out of our way too with reward tracks, the same way PvE/WvW does. It wouldn’t be instant give mes. They’d be earned. Why should I have to go do mindless PvE stuff inorder to raid or be effective in WvW? I already did all my PvE/WvW in the first 4 years of this game. I don’t really want to PvE on maps anymore after a couple map completions.

I’m not asking for the world, I’m just asking that HP be added as a reward track 10-20 per reward. That way all is equal across all game types.

To be honest you can get all the hero points you need to unlock the Elite Spec in a day.

I hate grind but even i gotta say its not really that hard or takes too long at all.

Yeah, but why shouldn’t I be able to get it in my prefered game type? The other two get it, why not us?

The quickest I got all HP was 1 day… running with a guild group who was doing HP trains and knew every single one.

Also most PvE HP cannot be obtained by just 1 person because they spawn champs. Getting my PvP buddies to do PvE… ha…ha…

It’d be super easy to implement.

We can earn hero points in both PvE and WvW. Why can we not earn them in PvP? As a mainly PvP player who sometimes ventures out into WvW and… even… PvE….(gasp) on a slim occasion, after playing PvP I don’t want to climb to hard to reach places in convoluted maps or play endless hours in WvW for hero points to use the new classes.

My solution is this: Add a Hero Point Reward Track in PvP. 10 per completion. Boom, now it’s still a grind like in PvE/WvW but I don’t have to go do endless hours of PvE/WvW if I want to go roaming with friends or do a raid?

Before the start of the game on a lot of maps there’s areas that you can stand or run into that wont reset the enemy and let them sit there right out of the start of the map. Devs overlooking this? Seems like a pretty kitten simple fix. Completely destroys the quality of game when you have a premade sitting in this no reset zone. lol.

Returning vet. Working on PvE stuff. Use to be heavily involved in WvW and running skill groups burnt out on that and left the game. Came back for the expac a couple of days ago and really liking it. I use to run a guild where I helped new members/players with the game. Looking for that kind of vibe again to get me loving this game once more.

Bumping for an explanation on server populations. This has been a sore spot for us since the game launched with few explanations. I would like to see an in-depth explanation as to server population and what counts towards it.

EDIT: I’m guessing this issue will never get cleared up as it’s been ongoing for years. Anet wont drop down populations because that wouldn’t make their game look as active to players. I really feel bad for the players who joined servers like Devona’s Rest/Anvil Rock/ET or any of the lower servers because when they enter WvW they’ll never get to experience the true glory of the game mode. Just a baron wasteland.

About me:
I’ve been playing GW2 on and off since beta. I’ve been hardcore PvE/WvW and PvP. Currently finding my balance between PvE and WvW. I’ve lead several GW2 guilds across a few servers: DR/DB/SBI in the names of BLUE/WoS(300)/BEAST. Each guild I’ve been apart of has helped me learn and develop both as a player and a leader. My old core group has long since burnt out of the game, but no other game still feels like home for me like GW2 does.

As I said before SGN is a sponsored multiplatform gaming community currently across all major platforms (Xbox one, PS4, PC) So even if you need a break from GW2, chances are we have you covered. Our motto is come for the gaming, stay for the community and it’s something that we strive and shoot for every single day. TBT is the only guild I’d consider joining if it wasn’t for reforming my old guild.
They have the desire for success.
They have the drive to constantly do better.
They have leadership and drivers that demand your best and will except nothing else.
They also know how to be serious and have FUN in the teamspeak while they’re not fighting.

Augmenting with Zerker is very popular and works quite well in skill groups, roaming and skirmish. Zergs tend to shy away from it but that is because they don’t run constructed parties most of the time.

is one too many? i’m seriously getting annoyed at being the last one among a 40 man friendly zerg and sometimes the only one to be killed by the enemy simply because i’m a necromancer. how long do we need to demand some kind of escape method in order to get one?
in my experience, DS only prolongs my death, not prevents. i’d say this is the case at least 70-80% of the time. you know when guardian has more mobility than you, your class is in a pretty kitten state.
EDIT: i do realize that if we get an escape it will most likely be in death shroud, and at least a 30 second cooldown. or i could be optimistic and hope we get a melee weapon with a leap.

I never die in zerg fights. Learn how to position yourself correctly.

Could it be that your sample space is just small? I haven’t ever really noticed this not working, though sometimes I go 3+ hits without critting, even when it’s supposed to be at 75% crit. The odds of a chain like that are low, but it can still happen.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

In our down time we are found in tPvP or roaming in WvW. We’re also getting more into the GvG scene and need skilled players who want to dominate in this field. Please keep in mind that this is a WvW/PvP guild we do both and have nightly WvW runs that members are required to join. If you come from off server we will set up a tryout time for you in our PvP arena.
