I am really disappointed to new trait system.. Takes lots of the fun from game, specially on early game when you can’t play with traits. And really even before the early game wasn’t that fun until you got to master traits.. and the early leveling is so sloow (well perhaps not slow but feels like it because don’t have any fun stuff to use.).
also unlocking traits forces to take cookie cutter builds until you are capped, or then yous pend plenty of time trying unlock traits or have to go without skills to use as skill point cost of traits makes sure you won’t be getting any extras.
on my capped character change does nothing, so i can’t really understand how this serves anyone. Kinda feels it is just to kick new players away.
For me number one problem has been lack of mouselook toggle.. having to constantly press right click down sure eats tons of gaming fun. and targetting overall is still too much of old generations one .. really would wish it would be more like new generations action mmos
quest hearts to 100% the map, these are just boring to do. And in the end make game awfully grindy with slow progression on slow levels. hearts are are step forward from quest hubs but being forced to do them for map sure is pain.
these were biggest problems for me. i think.. there are minor things like autoslow when you get hit and are forced to fight..
you can get nice army of jaggeds now.. but yeah they still reach kinda slow time to time and take their time to get to enemy (would be great if you could trait for swiftness for summons or some sort charge at start of the combat. )
but the one weakness that makes them completely useless in dungeons is still there. They die instantly when aoe damage starts.
ahh if only they had made death nova have burning condition instead of poison…
Blood fiend does good on most pve where you don’t really need that much healing.
but there are situation (like places with heavy aoe, bosses and pvp ) where summons just get gunned down fast and you get lots of damage, then consume conditions is better choice. and wells are nice when in party.
surviving, keeping thigns going, condition control, chill/cripple/blidning, healing and constant dps bit everything.
you forgot necromancer. staff #2, dodge mark then getting traits so exiting death shroud heals and life leech heals people around and then wells to heal and turn conditions to boons.
all damage sigils seem to have cooldowns so grenades can’t benefit much from them but healing sigils (on kill/on crit) don’t seem to have any. so i would presume those would benefit most.

and on 1 vs 1 you shouldn’t be using grenades anyway. grenades are for masses
try out between different builds (power/condition) before level 80 as it is easy to change gear before you start to gather exotics/legendaries. condition isn’t that great at first as with low stat changes it doesn’t gain much. (20 condition damage = +1 damage per bleed stack and at first you get like +5 or so per item.)
and even minion master can work in dungeons, though time to time you might want use more beneficial skills on some places.
minions don’t do that much damage and true have those ai problems so it is good idea to boost your own offensive stats too. then good amoutn toughness and vitality and you are fine.
I haven’t find healing stat that important. most minions can be summoned pretty soon after death anyway
as MM i tend to switch between shade and wurm depending situation, how fast melee minions die. for example against bosses/www/dungeons wurm. for normal exploring shade.
and of course using minions on every slot.
necro centered wells would be great for trait. At least for dagger MH.
One more i liked to added to minion list would be:
- ability to pick up flesh wurm for faster reuse.
same way like engys pick up their sentries.
I haven’t had that much problem getting party (at least on overflow server) but keeping it together.. people rage quitting to first death and then there is that still haven’t got party where all would understand same language.
I have bit tried different things and personally 20 spite, 30 death, 20 blood has been most to my liking.
in www i would recommend using flesh wurm as you can choose where it appears so you can put it down or up the walls to attack things or then behind you to provide you quick escape/stun break
but don’t be afraid to try different things yourself, it is not that expensive.
well shorter waiting times to www for those who didn’t leave.
ahh if only could put flesh wurm to all utility slots,, would be really nice in www.
There are plenty of servers and server transfers are still free so moving to less populated one might be good idea.

if you havent yet got the weapon from doing personal story line (the one you fetch from fort trinity in instanced area with ticket ) that staff is pretty cool looking. worth checking.
Tried it somewhile but after it coming clear that it was pretty much impossible to do with so many people around and not being able to see where my char was or where to jump exactly i decided try later.. never returned.
other than not wanting to have other players around while doing it, it was fun what i managed to do it.

And like losing golem wasn’t enough the skill that comes replace it destroyes the rest of minions when used. hurray -_-
well necro seems pretty effective in www, at least against enemy zergs
when you put well of darkness and corruption (maybe add suffering too) it really slows down people trying get trough and makes easy for your group to counter them. (plus of course marks to keep people away. .. that chill on blind trait is awesome here. )
taking cooldown away would make it pretty great trait (though probably some 3-5 jaggeds max at any time. )
seconded too, it would be great addition.
There is plenty of extra skill points available and at 80 everytime you ‘level’ after that you get skill point. (something 240k exp per level which is pretty fast, )
though with elite skill i would look them bit before hand as 30 skill point can take some while so its good to have one you like first.
keep eyes open , that is pretty much how to do it. usually circle area around vista on you should figure them out, most of them aren’t that bad.. some are bit trickier but there is quite simple way .
even for minion master lich form can be better time to time.. like in www when enemies are behind wall where golem cant get without you going there too, or dying to mass aoe.
I have wished somethign like that too. It would be nice to have 3 flesh wurms in www because rest of the minions cant get down or up the walls unless you go there
well ability to target summons/better ai would also work, but in some situations some minions are just useless , like melee minions vs aoeing bosses.
fire, explosions , odd mixtures turrets , crazy gadgets, what more you can ask from one class?
minions are good , they are very fragile until you get the traits for them but with mark of evasion you can help them survive lot longer (and mark of blood when you use staff. )
when there aren’t many enemies that cause conditions i would suggest focus to off hand, it gives some extra with vulnerability on #4 (and healing) and chills are always nice.
with necro you could also go glass cannon build and still be quite tough thanks to death shroud and good hp. specially if you have minions take some agro. but it is your choice.
it tends to come quite a mess if everyone speaks their own language and no one understands each other.
at least that is my reason why i use english in map chat instead finnish.
I liked the first gw a lot and since gw2 was fixing the problems i didn’t like it (like open world) and didn’t have subscription i knew it was worth the price. also all the videos in youtube i saw from it were promising.
using same email on some other services that might been hacked? Hopefully you have unique password at least. There was good blog post where dev spoke about getting hacked but cant find it now. but anyway the hackers probably got your email and maybe password (if you use same passwords in many services) by hacking some other game, fansite or something like that.

blood fiend is nice choice on easier areas where you dont need heals, but in dungeons or www consume conditions is lot more reliable.
yep old problem. been since game came out.. if not even in betas
try stay areas couple level higher than you. Makes game lot more interesting.
and eating cookings can help a lot in long run.
Yeah MM is great on pve (except in places with heavy aoe damage) I have no problem soloing with my 80 MM necro on level 80 areas and its easy to solo melee champions with veteran adds like champion troll on 70-80 ice area cant remember the name for now, in labyrinth near dragon event.
Sure minions die fast when they get targeted but you can summon most fast again. and if you are targeted then just kite while minions leech hp for you and use ranged attacks.
but still wish that minions wouldnt spend so much time staring around or attacking wrong targets. that would surely be huge boost for the build. (and maybe something to make minions withstand damaging areas bit better. )
By fighting monsters around 5 levels higher than you are. At least for me it has kept things interesting most of time. of course once you get to 80 there is no place for that.
in arah my minion master worked well but in cof i think there was some aoe bosses where minions were useless, so for them its good idea to switch other skills and traits to use.
because you like playing it. If you don’t then don’t play. simple as that.
They better fix pants looking like gloves before they add duels. Otherwise it may get rather awkward.
an +1 for auto decline duel option.
Then again when you have meatwall of undead creatures in your disposal, why would you pick up dagger or axe to melee your enemies ? Many would choose best possible ranged weapon in that case and bows can be tricky to aim.. but guns, pistols and rifle again.. strong weapons that are relatively easy to use to make sure you have dead bodies coming up for your use.
i would love more weapon choices for necro (with old ones made more comparable to each other and other classes. )
nothing forces you to use staff if you want so.. but in www specially staff is very handy to have, but of course not must to have.
making sure you have option to have always enemy names on , that helps at least bit for the rendering problem as name usually pops the moment thief comes out of invisibility.
