though epidemic works great with wells too. with my human necro i usually use focus #4 then drop well of suffering and let them stack and then boom it around with epidemic and switch to ds to life transfer or smacking them down with dagger. just need to get blinding well to stack blind too with it.. or perhaps blood is power.. not sure yet which should i take for third utility
Seems solid. I run quite similar setup though with that 30% damage from spite and death nova from death. though not sure how i can leave sceptre dagger behind for daggerfocus event though on my alt necro i level using them and it has been quite good though risky.
well guess minion master with scepter/dagger and staff would be change? 20 to death so you get +50% hp to minions and then which ever you prefer 20% faster minions/marks or big marks. and then start going blood line to get mark of evasion and on level 50 for minions to siphon life for you.
after those probably spite line for 30% damage for minions.
for equips i liked carrion equips them giving cond damage, power and vitality.
but be brave and explore the different choices and make build for your own taste. they are easy to change if one doesnt work. (well except gear can get expensive on level 80. )

what kind of build you want? MM? wellmancer? condition master? what weaposn you prefer use?
are you suggesting they have some kind of.. swarm stupidity?
must be some bug. description only says it bleeds not anything about it causing bleed.
It would be nice being able to customize DS skills somehow at least. It really isn’t one size fits all currently. Though with some builds you can’t just afford the needed DS traits currently to make it good.
many of those suggestions seem really good. may be even game breaking once necromancers learn to play and use DS effectivly.
for blood magic i would rather take mark of evasion and faster wells for this build
for death switching between larger and faster marks depending if you are fighting multiple mobs or one strong one. personally i like fast marks bit more.
curses, terror is bad 44+power only. .. rather take enfeebling blood on shroud. or something.
Those are the changes I would make. ahh and little wish rather link to skill builder (plenty of different sites that let you link your build-) makes it easier to look what you got than trying figure out what number was what trait.

it is good idea to visit other low level areas to atleast fetch the extra skill points from them and do events while at it and why not explore.
and there is little point save the exp boosts as time per level is pretty constant. actually for me the last 20 levels went really fast
1: there is actually great mobility buff spectral walk. You can prevent teleport back as skill flips when you use it to make it break the bond. 36s of swiftness is pretty nice. though i admit it is quite hard for necro take utility that just is utility and not damage, but in www it is worth it.
2. yeah could use some more cc, personally would like more fears and bit more useful fears so they aren’t just quick bluffs.
3: flesh wurm is quite close to this, It would be great if its necrotic traverse would be stun breaker so i could have one when i am minion mastering. it works with immobilize though. also could work bit more reliable in uneven ground.
yeah damage might need some boost, though with so many things broken currently that it is hard to say if it is huge or minor problem.
against objects there definitely is problem. dagger is pretty good for inanimate objects but otherwise not really worth keeping on loadout.
it isn’t great skill but for real level 80 in rare+ gear (with some power) it does atleast double that.. something 1.2k if target has few conditions atleast.. not superb but bit more direct damage than other attacks on scepter.
first i think that axe synergies better with focus for stacking the vulnerability, but to question i think it is pretty decent for getting life force. sure dagger has that but melee is dangerous for light armor user and staff has some but it is slow.
So i think axes duty is to reap the life force.
i think necros consume condition and blood fiend (when MM specced) are quite equal.
while consume condition is waiting there when you need it and helps you get rid of conditions the blood fiend will constantly heal you bit and help you do bti extra damage, but same time not so reliable as it needs to be alive for you to heal yourself quickly.
well of blood again has twice as long cooldown which can be sometimes trouble some. with other two you can pop heal and go DS and when you get back out heal is almost ready to use again.
yeah shame it was changed, now it is more like bluff, making enemies briefly look their back
2. seems bit too much power for one class to have. what other class can turn tides of battle with only using one skill?
i can see how this goes to that stonemist will be having dozen of afk mesmer alts hiding around in it in case it gets captured. with invisi consumables (though i too would like to know where tog et them. might give my necro chance to escape. )
some classes also have traits to promote offensive dodging like necromancers mark of evasion that sets mark of blood when you have dodged.
yeah this would be great. Somehow i think it would specially fit for charr .. would be nice to see huge train of charrs (and why not other races too.) walking around doing that animation
So, necromancer is the only profession that hasn't received a single change (fix or balancing) from the release

oh but this one had change for necro. Necros can get retaliation with trait& death shroud or axe.. so with retalitation fixed (and nerfed in sense it now isnt effective way to destroy siege weapons.) necro got one fix/nerf. hurray ?
yes i would like them being able to either to regen their hp outside combat or then there being option to easily replace them with fresh summons without waiting minute for cooldowns after their death.
yeah condition control is fun too. specially in coordinated team.
yeah i have had pretty fun on www when there has been good fights where both groups had quite equal chances of beating each.
today i had plenty fun on my alt necro which i took spectral walk and then with it i run middle of enemies to drop my wells and death shroud to use life transfer (but sadly time usually goe sup before i can take all out of it. ) and then spectral walk returns me to safety. then i wait in distance (of course attacking enemies that come too close ) and do it again.. it did couple times force enemy to retreat even that wells really do not do much .. of course with higher level necro could have got target wells for more efficient welling.
dagger is okish on pve at least. But if you plan www then you want more range . scepter/dagger and staff are common choices. though with my second necro i have gone axe/focus to make things vulnerable and it seems work ok too.
Calysto. yeah that one is quite bad and unreliable. if you go all minion then usually other minions take agro instead it but otherwise consume conditions is more reliable.. but then again blood fiend does some extra damage and on each hit it heals you bit.

The traits change quite a lot. specially when you get second tier major trait.
or then he had run for skill challenges to get enough skill points to open second tier utilities. They are not slot specific but openable by getting 5 of previous tier. the slots are just how many different ones you can have active at time.
in www i have seen people getting goomba stomped when defenders just jumped down and ended up killing attackers with those effects (well guess they threw aoes same time too. )
i like scepter in www, (well 900 range is the bare minimum to be useful ) while people are quick to start dodge when they get big hits , with sceptre you usually can stack nice amount of bleeds and poison to target before they try escape.. and quite often too late.
but as said spectral walk and wurm are great skills. with bit sneaky placement on wurm it can shoot enemies for surprisingly long times. or then you can but it behidn you for fast escape. or summon it middle of enemies if you have death nova and poison them all.

+1 yep got so used to it on my last mmo and now the old style mmo gaming feels rather clumsy
It is not that hard area, but i really am annoyed how you have to constantly fight from every meter specially when you just want to get some place. No time to look around like other maps. I kinda like the looks of place but hard to say as there is so little time to look around
i just tried bit www with my level 12 engineer and felt like i was doing so much more than with my level 80 necromancer. My grenades were destroying the enemies on walls and their cannons and oils and so on. and once gate broke just go with mass and set everything on fire with flamer. and the burnign damage wasnt that much behind what 10 stacks of bleed would do even my necro has carrion gear (mix of rare and exotic still)
you can always go gather more skills from maps you haven’t yet collected them. UIt is pretty fast specially if there are lower level ones.
It looks lot like what my asura necromancers eyes look when i keep demon mask on and head gear visible. Perhaps same thing?
and toggle mouselook so we dont need to keep pressing mouse button all the time !
Axe/focus might be good choice for mm, making target vulnerable helps minions to deal damage, with staff for burst damage traps or to heal/transfer conditions to enemy and in www its 1200 range is great. .
personally though i love the scepter/dagger setup. so much bleeding.. in www it is specially nice as at the time people start to consider retreating the bleed has been stacked and they dont get away.
personally i would say dagger is awful. autoattack is melee and third attack very slow leaving only the life siphon to be nice.
i have to say that level 70ish set i have/had (still trying get lvl 80 exotics) was rather horrible imho. But the other one from around level 50 is just great!
well can’t say about build but have you tried axe/focus. They seem to have more synergy than axe/dagger?
helps to get lot vulnerability stacked on enemy, give regen and then has chill to keep enemy from escaping too easily.
from todays experience from arah its pretty much reviving the four glass cannons on your party while summons keep boss busy enough for you to have time to do it.
it was quite odd to see how other fell down from one hit while for me they hit barely half my hp and as i could dodge most didn’t really have problem getting sometimes hit.
the weapon skills are quite nice but death shroud and utility and elite choices are just awful. I dont see why well (as orb where it was casted or with targeted trait to appear on targeted enemy. ) couldn’t work in water or flesh golem to swim
Mouselook toggle so the game could be played similar way like third person shooters. Giving better control of character while fighting and jumping.
i would like to add that it would be nice being able to target where summon is summoned like with flesh wurm. So i could throw them down the walls (specially those explosive ones ) or then even up to wall

2. turn shroud on
3. dark path to enemy middle of enemy group
4. life transfer until spectral walk pulls you back to ‘safety’ , perhaps with flesh wurm to give second jump back
it is ok in pvp where everyone can heal themselves.. even not for much but still. but yeah wouldn’t make build completely around for poison only.
but in pvp in www and so on people can heal something 6k+ that reduced by poisons -33% saves some time killing them.
i got 2 salvaging level 80 rare armor with the best salvaging set silver can buy
yep they are double stacks
they all have same dps.
just follow the hearts, and do dynamic events and try talking named npcs, they often start events.
trade gold -> gem and with 400 gem you can get extra slot,

necromancers can only use plague, which i guess is decent for blind spam for 20 seconds..
but as minion master it is annoying how my flesh golem dies instantly when i touch water.
