I absolutely disagree with you. There is zero reason why you need to keep the loot on a >>DEMO<< character. If you want loot play normal.

I’m thinking the other 4 maps are where the size is. This first one seems smaller than some of the basic maps.

I went to find the leaked picture of the map in an effort to try and contradict you but i found you to be correct. It is disappointing, however, it may just be this is the smallest map in the xpac and the others are large?

Spikes are such a cop out in design. It really highlights the short comings and lack of imagination on the design team. This and the trench coat AGAIN. Please no more trench coats. How many more times does this need to be asked?!

Yes the trench coat and for heavy armor users the skirt/dress looking pants are beaten to death in this game. Please, please, please add some other people to the armor design team or give them some direction to branch away from the current armor designs in game. There is so much out there to get inspiration from….

Do you not salvage all your blues and greens? I get a lot of cloth and leather. More than I can use. Never had an issue at all.

This is a terrible change. I get others like it but for those of use who don’t have an entire row of shared inventory slots this looks ridiculous. I have 2 slots at the top all by themselves where the rest of the row is blank. It doesn’t flow what-so-ever plus there’s a permanent scroll bar on the left side now? How does this stuff make it through QC? The best and most well thought out fix to this is what veggies said…

SUGGESTION:
*Add a menu with player options for shared slots:
—(1)Move line to bottom
—(2)Move shared to seperate tab
—(3)Keep Shared slots on top w/ empty trailing slots
—(4)Keep Shared slots on top without space between them and bag slots

Please make this happen sooner than later.

i would use it personally. I dont understand those who say youll miss out on a lot of stuff. You can still go through the maps scaled down but youll have access to all the basic traits so youll get a better feel for the class and how you want to play it. The XP you earn wont go into leveling in the traditional sense but rather will help with getting a head start on your masteries. That for me would be the biggest reason to use the booster.

There’s nothing saying you can go through the maps as you would if you leveled the traditional/slow way. I dont believe you learn a class any better by going slow and being restricted on what builds/skills you have access to. Id rather have it all up front to learn with so Im not constantly changing game play based on what i have access to.

Using the booster only changes where the XP goes. Youre not missing out on loot. Youre not missing out on exploring. Youre not missing out on the story. Thats all still there for you to experience. Also the leveling rewards are not great. Theres nothing youll get that you will still use at lvl80. All of it will be thrown out (you cant salvage/sell it).

If it turns out HoT opens up the rest of our current big map, or opens up Cantha or Elona, and/or gives us playable Tengu, or Largos, or Centaurs, with starting zones for each, and new personal stories (sans level gaps) and anet has craftily kept it all a big secret until launch day, sure. Here’s what’s going to happen. Everyone who is raging about this price and lack of content will come to the forums and post about it. They’ll make grandiose statements about how they’ll NEVER buy the xpac or speak to other peoples intentions on buying it. the forum threads will be condensed into one massive thread and the post counts with get upt to 10k-12k at which time Anet with claim something happened in the system and that thread was lost. People will QQ for a little more but no where near extent like before because everything has been said and people are tired and don’t want to redo everything. Everyone moves on and buys the game, spends a couple gems for an extra slot and enjoys the xpac.

Where do I come up with this you may ask and what “proof” do I have? I ask you to turn your attention to the introduction of Ascended gear.

Why is there only 3 pieces to this armor? There’s no chest, legs or boots. I personally really like the way it looks but I’m not going to spend gems on something where I only get half the look I want. Any insight is appreciated.

To the original question: absolutely not. It is the trinity what bores me to death and to make a MMO game without it was a very good idea. There is a lot of trinity MMOs so possibility to play one without it is indeed a very welcome.
If you want an excellent trinity game, try TSW, if you must have a high fantasy setting, then AOC, even if the latter is rather an unlimited trial much like SWTOR, the failed attempt to imitate WOW

or the new attempt to imitate WoW….Wildstar!

The update coming out on April 15th is huge. There’s no reason to deny it; it is a huge update. You can certainly protest and say that this update does not fix everything wrong with the game, and you’d be right. It doesn’t. But they also never said that it did fix everything wrong with the game.

Huge lol. Some QoL, some new stuff that was supposed to be in the game with the launch and some time wasting stuff that no hardcore / dedicated player cares for.

Besides, these updates are fantastic and I am personally happy about having countless dyes on every character in addition to being able to use an account wardrobe and new traits (not to mention the social benefits from the megaserver system). There are all kinds of players and no single kind of player is a problem, except those that believe that their issues are more important than every other player’s issues. What we need to do is appreciate that a wide variety of people play this game and they all want different things from it, and Anet is doing their best to make GW2 a fantastic game over time. As I said, no MMO is ever finished.

I hope you’re being sarcastic, this update is insulting. ArenaNet has only been catering casuals and non-dedicated players. There is nothing in this game that suits a dedicate or a hardcore player, nothing is actualy hard, nothing requires tactics everything can be achieved by the power of zerging. I can tell you there are alot of people who quit because gw2 dont suit their dedicated playstyle.

Also arenanet has given up on gw1 further production. Gw1 is now a timeless and unchanging mmo basicly its a grave yard with grave stones where you can go and do remember stuff from 2006+

On a side note, you say a lot of people quit because gw2 doesn’t suit their “dedicated play style.” Well guess what, a lot of people started playing gw2 because the can play when/how long/how they want without feeling the need to be “dedicated” just to keep up with things. edit: you state they are “unobtainable”. they are not. it may just take longer for you to get the 2g needed to buy it. being a very casual gamer (how i read it) you should be used to the waiting.

Thank you for the reports, we are looking into fixing the cutscene for future players to view when they log in for the first time. For players who have already logged in, we are working on adding a replay option to one of the NPCs in Lion’s Arch. Please expect these changes sometime tomorrow, 3/19. Ok this seems to come up every time there’s a cutscene…why would you not, at this stage, have a way for people to view it repeatedly already implemented with the patch? It seems like nothing has been learned through this whole LS process.

This ending was, dare I say, worse the Mass Effect 3’s ending. Talk about blah. Again we get Braham saying “it doesn’t matter”. Gee thanks (again) anet. For something that was built up for a year…this has to be one of the biggest let downs of story telling in gaming history and the sad thing is, I was expecting it. Maybe we can get a creative player in this community to formulate their own interpretation of events and share it for the rest of us. Kinda like the Indoctrination Theory for Mass Effect. Anyway, I’ve wasted enough of my time with this.

So i read we get a mini dolyak from the meta achievement chest but I never received mine. Is this something that’s awarded along with the big chest at the end of the season?

Same thing happening to me. Mouse looses focus and I have to reclick the rmb (sometimes several times) to get it to work again. I’m using the G700 and reading this thread makes me wonder if it’s a problem with that mouse. We need a response to this problem. I just came back after a year but I’m not going to spend more money on this game if I can’t play it properly. This is the only program where I’ve had the issue.

I’ll say this right off the bat. I haven’t played this game for 6+ months (prob longer) but I remember before I left necros weren’t that great. Meaning they were underpowered compared to many of the other profs. How are they now? This was the prof that made me decide to play this game in the first place and I want to give it another go. To finally find a game that I really enjoy playing that has (had) no gear grind at all made me very excited. I’ve quit playing all other games in fact. Now after reading this I feel let down yet again. It’s a shame there are no companies out there anymore who will stand by what they advertise and design despite the inevitable vocal minority which plagues every game. I’m disappointed and realize I may have to set out on my search again for a game that is simply fun to play for the sake of playing it. You know, how games were originally meant to be. I go to work every day. I don’t want to come home and “work” on getting some set of gear just so I won’t be discriminated against. I understand that gear grinds are “fun” for a lot of people but those people need to understand that its not for many others.

I hope this doesn’t turn out to be what it looks like but if it is I guess I’ll jump back into the search for a game that I enjoy playing without the gear grind (and holy trinity). Read and reflect on this reaction Anet. Don’t do this…

Like the title says and it happens a lot. Probably a couple times an hour. I looked at the ArenaNet.log and it says crash due to memory. What do I have to do to fix this?
