I was playing the retribution mission right before we go back to Claw Island, and I noticed that Carys speech seems off. The screenshots show both Carys and Tegwen’s speech at the end of the mission, and I think they were mixed up. I don’t know if there is already a post about this, but I think it needed to be mentioned.

I will have sylvari and I am debating a human or Norn. In fact I need help deciding, any suggestions? My human would be the descendant of my gw1 character and my Norn would be an owl shaman.

I would love for them to get rid of them, or at least make them look good. Something that would actually fit the magitech armor or something. I would love to burn down mordrem with my flamethrower, but I would still like to see my spinal blade backpack.

Also the shield of the moon and dark moon shield look different…

I think is only one specialization, but multiple new weapons per specialization. So I say we get shield and dual pistols. But yes, I have wanted dual pistols since I saw Ilya and Lyss.

Most player who play by themselves do it of their own free will, if they want to get good conversation or player communities they can just join a guild. I like to play by myself and my friends when they get on, which is almost never. We have a guild and I would love a guild hall, but I am the only active member. I don’t want to have to join some fancy guild just to get a guild hall. It doesn’t hurt anything or ruin player communities at all the way I see it.

I would very much love something like the shadow of the dragon battle, but on a much larger scale. However, I would still prefer it to be solo, or at least max of 5 people. I defiantly don’t agree with people wanting 30+ players fighting him. I would love something instanced.

I don’t see what the problem with guild halls becoming player housings is, I doesn’t hurt the community in anyway, does it?

I would try to get straight to level 80, but I am not sure if making a revenant will work the same as other professions, reason being that the revenant profession wasn’t around lore-wise until hot. But I will get him straight to 80, but still do the main story and living world, main reason because I already have the level 80 gear for him.

Probably work towards the precursor, leaf if kudzu, and then lore, then hang gliding.

Idk, I was gonna make a sylvari male and his story would be that he is the Avatar of the Shadow of the Dragon. But now I want to make a human as the descendant of my gw1 character, but I really wish I could make my Norn guardian into a revenant because channeling legends is just oh so Norn. I really need help. I might make two, I’m leaning towards a human and a sylvari. Only problem being I have six character, five of which are sylvari, and the other is a Norn, and only one character slot.

That may be what it says in the book, but I just went to the area in game and the dragonbrand literally goes right up to the place where her grave is. I looks exactly like it’s keeping back corruption, not saying she was buried in the dragon brand, but in game it certainly gives the appearance that it is keeping back some corruption.

I loved season 2, the only thing I would about season one is that it should be available permanently, like season 2. I hope they continue it after Mordy because is free story, the game with the never ending story, which I love. I just wish their was more missions per episode.

I think profession armor would be divine, but not locked. And while their is good plant stuff now, I would love something new. Norn don’t get anything is this game, they really need like shaman outfits, or armor like in eotn that actually looks like something a Norn would wear.

I don’t think this necessarily goes back to Mordy but more back to the Pale Tree. I never read Ghost of Ascalon so I’m not familiar with Killeen, but we have seen other sylvari deaths transform the land (I.E. Fiana and the revered terebith) it’s probably just strong magic. Also, it is worth mentioning that the area is completely free of dragon brand and it would seem that the magic is fighting. The dragon brand.

Idk if this is a bump so sorry. I looked at screenshots from when I killed the shadow of the dragon, and he did have a tree on his back, not saying this disproves you. And as for what archon said about it not making sense why the pale tree collapsed, she is originally a mordremoth champion freed from his control by Ventari and Ronan(IMO at least) and when the mordrem attacked the grove she would have had to resist mordremoth a control, and the avatar collapsed because the avatar is just a manifestation of the pale tree. Also I believe she said that the shadow of the dragon “tore it’s claws into the dream” and she shielded the dream from its attack, which leads me to believe not only did she have to resist mordremoth corruption for herself, but all sylvari that were connected to the dream and those not yet awakened.

I thought the dragon was getting the dream through nightmare, and that the nightmare was how mordremoth would get into the dream and take back his sylvari. As for the pale tree lying about the dragon being zaihten influence I have three things that could be. 1. She was saying it was the players wyld hung symbol to fight dragons. 2. It may have been a lie. 3. She may have thought it was zaihten because mordremoth technically should have awakened so soon. Idk

Does the shadow of the dragon not have a tree on its back when we kill it? I never really looked. This is a great theory, I just assumed that the shadow of the Dagon meant the shadow of mordremoth, because the pale tree recounts it as coming staight from the dragon (can’t remember exactly what she said but right before it attacked at the world summit). I didn’t delve too much into thinking about where the seeds came from and if they were eggs why they weren’t dragons, once again I assumed that they were eggs, but mordremoth worked very different from elder dragons(which he does).

I would do Mesmer. Niether really fit to me (I would do ele but thats not a choice).

Drakathshier is a cool name, so points for that. Helen doesnt sound very Norn so I give it 7/10. Lokier the Sly is also cool, then sly part is cool so 8/10

My other Norn, Dani Asgierdottir. The niece of Knut Whitebear, and granduaghter of Asgier Dragonrender.

According to this scale, the tallest Norn is 8’7". For the thing about Kodan, maybe at full hight Kodan are 10’ but all Kodan npc’s have severly hunched over necks. I am not sure about the thruth behind this chart though. Because if its right, I am taller than some Norn. Also, Lore-wise, Sylvari are slightly shorter than humans, but on this chart they are the same.

7/10 Cyadni. It sounds Sylvari, and yet a little not Sylvari.

10/10 Vodani. It sounds spot on to me.

I have two.

Ceara Bramble. The reincarnated spirit of Scarlet trying to make for her past lifes deeds.

Freyr Treewalker. His Wyld Hunt is to guide Ceara so she doesnt end up like Scarlet.

Its a cool necromancer name, but not very Norn. I could see it as an Asuran or Human.

Aren Jorasson. Bit of backstory, he is the descendant of Jora.

I would totally opt for more norn armor like in ther first game. That is what I thought as soon as I got the game and made my male norn, “Why the heck is my chest covered!” I would not go as far as to do a hide chest because it would have to be available for all races and gender. It would only fit on Norn guys, at least to keep it T. The actually did not use the armor is the posted picture above but used this.

I used this for my norn Gurdian for awhile.
I am thinking of switching to the second screen now, Or just do Brahams heavy armor.

I don’t see the reason why Mordy really needed to wake up. Obviously not to eats since it was already feeding on Ley Lines. Perhaps Scarlet is just trying to create chaos by forming all the bad-guy groups, awakening the Wurm, Awakening Mordy, destroying LA, ect ect. Or she could be trying to attack the Pale Tree. If we think back to “What Scarlet Saw”, she did think of herself as the thorny vine constricting the Pale Tree. She could be doing all this for the heck of it too. Who knows her reasoning.

I use bear-form for tanking and might, but that’s about it. One of them does fear I think, and that’s useful. I’m just disappointed about how short it is. In GW1 it lasted a lot longer on the Norn npcs.

The probability still sounds pretty low. Hobo-tron is still doing his original programming, being uplifting. I have seen almost no evidence of GOLEMS ever really advancing beyond what people tell them to do. And if they did, what’s to stop them from going against all organic life for bossing them around all these years. This just sounds like someone really wants to play as a GOLEM.

G.O.L.E.M.S. Aren’t technically sentient so they wouldn’t count as a race. This is like saying the seed turrets Sylvari summon get sick of doing as the Sylvari say and turn evil (or in the case of nightmare turrets, good) and become a independent. As if. They don’t have a mind, or a soul, or even a will. All they have is programming and weaponry. It’s a fun idea and I might even do it if I could be like M.O.X. But it would never happen.

You know what I would really love? Heroes or henchmen. Like sidekick you can buy from Gem Store kind of like the team up Marvel Superheroes is doing. You should even make them customizable. Also, I really want Norn Shaman outfits as Town Clothes, same with Human Priest armor, Charr flame Shaman maybe, and More Sylvari plant clothes. Armor sets of people in GW1 such as. Jora, Eve, and even Dervish armor. Weapons like Shiro’s blades from Factions. Kurzick and Luxon armor. More stuff about Owl Spirit. I think a family would be a cool idea but maybe not Gem Store material.

Edit: Another thing would be that you could “purchase” a living story event that you missed and you can go back and do it once. Like I missed killing Scarlet because I was very busy through out that entire event, and now I don’t have the mask which I so desire. Ot just ways to get these item from the gem, obviously they would cost more than the average head piece skin. Also, tonics for the Dervish forms of the human gods and old npcs. These could be Karma merchant items.

Edit: And a miniature Sieran and Forgel. There is already a Tybalt so it’s a little unfair to Sieran and Forgel.

She’s a Mesmer? I thought she was a necro, she looks like one. Oops, my bad. Guess I will do my research next time.

I would love the Bear Shaman for my Guardian. I have been craving these sets for sooooooooo long! I was just gonna use the Kodan armor as an alternative.

I play PvE mostly.

Do you know any good support builds? Or tank builds. Right now I have staff/mace and shield weapons. Utility usually switches with the situation but is mainly Sanctuary, Bow of Truth, and “Hold the Line”. My elite is Tome of Courage.I don’t remember my Traits right now, but it’s my traits and utility I need help with.

I don’t mind it, heck, it adds a cool effect when I’m wielding a staff, kinda makes it look like I have a staff and a shield. I thought it was only visible in combat., I have never seen it when my weapons are stowed. I think it also looks cool on the Flameseeker Prophecies because that what I’m going for and it kinda looks like the book is making a protective barrier.

I did think it was a bit odd but it doesn’t really change anything, he uses caldbolg all the time so it’s more a cosmetic thing. It’s a cool contrast though, Trahearne being all dark and necromancery while the Pale Tree is the embodiment of light. Also, Faolin is a firstborn and she is a Necromancer.

I know about Menzies and Grenth, wich is why I never said anything about Grenth but instead talked about Duhm, and a correction to my previous statement about Balthazar be powered by the mist is corrected to he could possibly be half god like Grenth, father being human and mother being goddess.

About the mutiple religions, I guess what I’m saying is I am trying to make sense about the begining of the different deities, because the bear, the lizard, and the human all had a begging, they didnt just pop into existence someday. Something had to happen for them to be made, be it evolution or God, whatever you believe. So I guess I am kinda of comparing the Mist to God or the big bang.

I was just posting a speculation. One that I have been dying to get out. Thinking about you are right, it sounds slightly dumb and there is no fact, but thats the point of speculation and I jst wanted to get other peoples input. This was mainly me trying to make sense of the multiple religions. I think there was something somewhere about Balthazar’s family (or at least father) being human, wich is why I sais he and Dwayna were human.

This is pure speculation with not much evidence but I need to share it. This ties in almost all of the religions of Tyria. It starts with the mist taking Physical form as Koda and Koda creates the spirits of the wild. Alternatively, the Mist takes the form of all the Spirits of the Wild. The Human Gods are a bit different. Dwayna and Balthzar were humans who gained celestiel powers from the Mist. Abbadon was one of the Demons spawned from the Mist that gained intelligence. Duhm and Melandru are manifestations of the Mist, Duhm being the keeper of Death and Melandru the keeper of Natural life. Lyssa is the twin enbodiment of Chaos and Magic. Mellagen of the Quaggen religion is of course Melandru or possible the twin/countepart of Melandru, she is just given power over the sea, not the land. The Eternal Alchemy is an extension of the Mist, as is the Dream. The Great Dwarf is the collected mind of all Dwarves (this is fact I think). The Luxon demi-goddesses are elightend humans. I think thats about it. Now I want your speculations, thoughts, corrections, ect.

I dont think Melandru would win so easily. The way I see it (some speculation) is that the dream is a extension of the mist, and the Pale Tree is its gardener. We literaly have no idea of the feats Melandru has besides turning those people into plants. Meanwhile, The Pale Tree has the feats of making a race of sentient beings, seeing the future, existing in multiple places at once, cleansing Elder Dragon corrution, and creating a plant oasis. I think Melandru may win, but The Pale Tree will put a fight.

I do not know if they ever will get together, but I ship them. I think it’s cute and outside the box. Because everything everywhere is going with the whole we are making homosexuals because we can, and thats a touchy subject, but a straight, yet different couple like Braham and Rox sounds cool to me. Maybe im just wierd like that, and before you say it, I’m not really into furries but I still think Braham and Rox are cute.
