I was wondering how you take screenshots in this game? I know about print screen but as far as i understand you can only have 1 picture at a time? I want to take more than one without overwriting anything.

Crafting and the Storyline will level you really quick. Leveling 2 crafting profession on a single character nets you roughly 20 levels just by itself.

But crafting is really confusing. I don’t understand how it works. Yes, i have read guides but is still find the system confusing. I just wish it was like normal crafting

Hello. I was just wondering if i will be punished for crafting after i reach the level cap? I honestly just want to level and explore. The crafting system is something i don’t like and don’t understand. But then again that is not just GW2, i usually skip crafting in all the MMOs i have played. But will i be punished for it in GW2? I heard it gives exp, but do i really need that? Can i not level by just questing

Mord the things are pretty simple.

Engineer has the most options (via kits) and largest array of abilities (conditions / boons included) in game. But they require you to have a very good memory for each kit / toolbelt slot so you can piano literally through weapon set / kits / utilities / toolbelt skills.

It has the highest APM of any class in GW2. You won’t spend more than a few seconds in a given kit / weapon set, and constantly switching depending on your needs.

Regarding WvW – you have all the tools (depending on build) you need to deal with anything, your success or failure lays strictly on your player skill vs enemy skill.

Pretty much the only limit is your imagination and ingenuity in utilizing your skills in combat, with good options both at range and in melee (depending on kits of course).

So you can’t play the Engineer casually? It is the only class that interests me, but i am a very casual player. Can i just level using rifles or am i forced to change kits all the time?

-I always explore stuff in areas for my level.
-I do gather mats, but i do not craft…i just do not enjoy it to be honest..sorry AN x)

And about doing high level quests…won’t that make me even more underleveled?

Hello. I have this problem that is quite annoying. I am level 9 and have nothing to do. The next heart is level 11 and my next personal story quest is like the same. Now, people tell me crafting gives good exp, but i personally do not enjoy crafting. I just want to quest, but the hearts skip so many levels between.

So, what i am wondering: Do i have to craft to level? I will do it if it is required, but honestly it does not appeal to me.

I don’t do crafting to be honest…pick up everything but do not make much. Should not be forced to craft. And WvW is so overwhelming.

Anyway, someone saw this thread and talked to me ingame. It seems my focus should always be on events…i always thought hearts were the quests of GW2, but it seems it is better to jump back and forth and do events. Guess i’ll just do so.

So, as the title states i am always 1 or more levels behind the quests. I do EVERYTHING for my level. Every event i see and explore all i can, but quests always seem to be 1 or 2 levels higher. Is something wrong? I heard you CAN visit other starter areas, but it that necessary? Should i not be able to go from 1-17 like the map says?

Right not the quests on the map is like 13 and i am 11.

100% correct. The base game should always be perfect (or as near as perfect as they can make it) before adding new content.

Hello. I am currently in kessex hills. I am level 20, and my next story quest is level 21.

But i cannot seem to find any quests for my level…only 22 and above. The last quest i completed in Kessex was a level 19 quest.

Before you say “go to the starter areas”, do i really have to? I have finished both the human and asura starter zones…

No, please do not add this! It has ruined all other MMOs for me…“lol your gear sucks, noob” etc. Please keep this a casual game which everyone can play.

Still happening. All my other games work great online, but not GW2….tried everything: Reseting router, firewall, flushdns, turning of router and deleting local.dat. Nothing works ._.

EDIT: I should also not that for some weird reason it does not affect my guild chat..can see my guildmates write…

I was angry when i found out about the Elder Dragons. So cliché…one of the most overused things in fantasy…sigh

I like everything else about the story tho. No annoying dwarves. Still, the Dragon cliché sucks :p

I did port 80 a while ago and it did fix inital lag now I made it my default client and I’m always lagging again. <- was I not supposed to do this?

Same issues..port 80 worked perfectly a while but now its super lagging. I switch between the default client and port 80, but both have massive lag and error. 7-11-3-189-101

EDIT: Oh…something weird happening right now…when i try to log into my characters i takes a long while before anything happens…when i enter game i can only move my character but cast no skills…weird o.0

Well there is a renown heart in Metrica Province where you can talk to skritt IQ test subjects. If you are an asura when you talk to one of them you say how all the skritt should be sent to the charr so they could eat them, the the skritt passes out. I can’t remember the exact dialog but it suggested the skritt should be charr food.

That is one of my favorite quests in the game.

Anyway, i like the skritt so much i hope charr don’t eat them. Yes, they are agressive, but cute…in a way.

Sorry if this is asked a lot…i am 1 week into this game and i think i have found my class, the ranger! However, i notice my pet dies, or gets downed quite often. I chose a stalker which maybe was the wrong choice?

Anyway, i was wondering, which pets should i be looking out for? What pets are tanks?

So, i thought this game was perfect…guess i was wrong xD This the worts area in any game i have ever played…after 50 minutes i now only have 2 points of interest left…can somebody explain how the black city works? My maps tells me there is no floors, but that cannot be right o.0

I go to my program files then GW2 but it only says 3 things:
“GW2.dat”
“Gw2”
“Gw2.tmp”

The Guild Wars 2 file in my documents only has music file and local.dat file.

Firstly having to troubleshoot issues with your pc is nothing new this comes with playing pc games…Also if you would have realised the issue is obv. you os image. Did you even google….? By doing a quick google search I was able to find mutiple fixes to your issue. Ill just leave this with you and hope you can figure the rest out. Your windows is most likely throttling your connection to GW2 for unknown reason. Also like Sartori stated did you even try leatrix fix? The most easiest fix ever to exist in existance? ;] Hope you get it figured out! But I would say disable your os’s throttling and you should be golden.

Hm, when you say it like that…could you tell me how to do a harddrive backup? I have never done it before…and i cant get my PC to backup my C: harddrive…i can only backup D, but GW2 is on C:….any help? :P

Mine got fixed, idk if it was the patch/my isp/arenanet or me deleteing my local.dat folder but no lag at all and havent dced in 2 days when it was constant before

I am also getting this error. Started out this afternoon after the Flame and Frost update – about a minute after logging in and selecting a character I’d get kicked back to the character selection screen with this message, and has gotten worse to the point where the client won’t even open into the character selection screen – just a white screen and that lovely error message. =(
