WP made a video on the weaver where he said it would be cool if we gained benefits from traits for double attuning. I think it would add a lot to the specialization. I wouldn’t do this to traits that reduce cooldown on fire skills because that’s just on fire skills (idk if it does it now but I would reduce the cooldown on fire mix skills too). I would do that for the following traits.
- Pyromancer’s Training (damage aspect)
- Pyromancer’s Puissance
- Zephyr’s Speed
- Electric Discharge
- Aeromancer’s Training (precision aspect)
- Stone Flesh
- Stone Heart
- Soothing Mist
- Piercing Shards
IDK about the next few but I would like to see these happen still
- Arcane Abatement
- Elemental Attunement
- Arcane Resurrection
- Elemental Contingency
- Evasive Arcana
- Elemental Surge
We’ll see how good weaver is once it’s out but this would create more interesting build options and more importantly flavor. Alright now hit me with your reasons why I’m wrong I’m ready cries inside
also I forgot to mention we should be able you double attune on some abilities too.

The forums blew up today with posts about how every single new elite spec (in their respective sub-forum) is terrible and how a bunch of people hate them. I just want to say thank you Anet devs for your hard work. i appreciate it alot. I love scourge, spellbreaker, and firebrand. New specs like the renegade may not be for me but I think all of them have a place in the game. Obviously things need to be worked on and refined but I love what I am seeing so far. Thank you guys. And to the community remember guys its been a day. Take some time to actually evaluate the new specs before saying “this spec needs to be scrapped and remade”.
Anet you need to consider balancing the game again before the expac. scourge at this point is just better at all roles than reaper.
1. Scourge has more health than reaper and they can heal themselves more.
– Since scourge is not in a shroud they can heal from transfusion. and assuming a scourge can keep up barrier on itself it has more health too.
2. Scourge has more ways to survive.
– they have a portal. reaper on the other hand is a sitting duck even with their leap.
3. Scourge has more dps potential.
– with scourge getting burning on torment and the sheer amount of torment on scourge it certainly seems like it will do more condi dps than reaper. reaper wasn’t even suppose to do condi.
4. Scourge can actually help teammates.
– reaper is selfish and doesn’t do as much as scourge in terms of support.
Anet I love your game and your classes but you failed to make reaper into a power spec and now scourge is just an upgrade. please consider making more suitable changes.
at the end of the day idk if scourge will be better.
After playing games like Lol, Smite, and Overwatch I believe I’ve discovered the major problem with Conquest as of right now. I need to preface that I enjoy conquest but it has flaws. The game mode is not too Spectatable and a lot of the time its a numbers game. The winners of the match are usually the ones who out rotate the other side or constantly out number the other team. This is not too different from aforementioned games like league where everyone selects their specific roles and they start out in their lanes or creatures.
This is another problem of conquest Nobody knows their roles or even need to fulfill roles. That’s part of the reason why we end up on teams with 2 thieves or 4 dragon hunters because there’s no incentive to fulfill certain roles. The only thing people need to do is step on a big circle and stay there and force the enemies off.
Stronghold was an Interesting step forward but it failed in emphasizing GW2’s strengths specifically it’s combat. I enjoy GW2’s combat more than a lot of other games and conquest does emphasize the combat of guild wars but now they need to add a game mode that incentivizes roles.
I don’t believe enforcing 1 class per team would entirely fix the problem since I don’t know how they would enforce it in the game. I would like to see one class per team though.

- Conquest has flaws
- Conquest isn’t too spectatable
- winning is determined by outnumbering the enemy team
- There’s no obvious roles in pvp
- Stronghold doesn’t emphasize GW2’s strengths
- GW2’s strength is it’s combat
- Conquest emphasizes combat
- I don’t know how they will enforce 1 class per game
I don’t understand everything and I could be wrong about all of this but this is just my thoughts. Ultimately This is a message to Anet and the community to try and get discussion going and to help improve they game. Thank you for reading.
What if they just changed the formula cleansing. Instead of just cleansing the first condi they could prioritize the most dangerous condis first. for example Burning>consusion>torment>bleed>Poison>Chill>Taunt>fear>imobalize>slow>Vuln>Blind>Slow>cripple. This isn’t EXACTLY how I would do it but I think its a good example. I think it would be a mistake to separate different types of condi cleanse. I think it would over complicate the game and make abilities obsolete and push the game in a direction that is more only one build is viable. I appreciate your idea and I think it could address the condi problem. I think cleanse priority would be best. I would even add stacks as a priority. I would also suggest either buffing cleanses or nerfing application.
to summarize
- Have Condi cleanse priority on dangerous condis
- splitting condi cleanses may be dangerous for games health (idk for sure)
- condi Cleansing sources should be buffed or condi application should be nerfed
on a final note I think power is at a good place it’s just that condi is a little too strong atm. once they nerf that then the game should be at a healthy state. but that’s just my opinion but I could be wrong.
But what about revenent?
In order to buff rev what if each legend gained a passive like….
- Shiro- +10% outgoing damage and +10% Endurance regeneration while in shiro.
- Jalis- – 15% incoming damage and – 10% condi duration while in Jalis.
-Mallyx- +15% Condi out going damage and duration while in Mallyx.
- Ventari- +20% healing and passive heal in 600 radius every 5 seconds in Ventari.
- Glint- groan every 3 seconds in Glint…… JK
- Glint- Increase the effects of boons by 5% in Glint and heal for 30 health for every upkeep skill every second
Now I don’t think this will happen and I’m clueless on what would actually be balanced but I just thought this would be an interesting idea and maybe Anet will take it into consideration.
Honestly at this point I just want 1 of 3 things…..
- Auto attack chain is as fast as warriors or guardians.
- Skill 3 (death spiral) to be a 900 or 1200 range teleport or leap.
- Greatsword does more damage so that its actually good even if its slow.
I would even propose that the soul eater trait just siphons health with every attack again but nobody cares about soul eater at this point.

on a serious note, sorry i disagree with removing something that’s imperative to necro being alive. on another note just have them buff necro it wouldn’t take much for them to be god tier if thats what you want. they’d just need personal active defenses like block or evades or anything with movement. you don’t need to remove things just insenstivize different styles of play. for instance. power necro isn’t viable because it has little condi cleanse, little active defenses, and other classes can do all of this better. I understand what your saying and sorry for being sarcastic but they shouldn’t remove things like plague signet.
I’d love to see Key chain’s or wallets or flash drives. Something that’s affordable but still practical.

Again let me profess; I don’t think these changes are perfect. These are just Idea’s that I would enjoy.
I think a solid way to make ventari better is by just making a tablet float around your character and making you the source of abilities. also when ever you are in ventari The tablet is always out. Here’s a list of changes in terms of skills.
6.(heal) this now teleports/flys you to targeted area and the healing is increased to 1000-ish.
7. This just works around you.
8.This is faster and has a lower cost like say 10 or 15 energy.
9. This is faster and costs about 15 or 20.
10. (elite) this works at your location also costs 30 energy. with 25 sec CD
So these are some Ideas and there not perfect. IMO I think alot of the legends need energy cost reduction like shiro, and jalis. especilly the elite skills. I run condi rev and I run demon and dragon stance and the great thing about those is i can actually use the elite skills. So This is my idea to make ventari better what would you guys like to see.
I’d love it to add new abilities like a war banner heal skill or a necro well elite skill. Also Arena net need to address the base classes vs the elite specializations. While I do think the elite specializations need to be looked at the base professions need to be balance to make things worth using such as banners for war in pvp. what does the community think we’ll be getting. please keep your response reasonable and not “the devs only want our money and they are sell-outs” ty=)
I’ve put around 1,900 hours into Gw2 and half of that into PvP and I PvP frequently. Recently I’ve been playing rev and enjoy it alot but when I lose a match my team will blame the rev like myself. After games I’ll politelty say GG and people will respond negatively to that. I don’t argue with anyone and am as positive as i can be with my team. I understand I can do better but I’m getting depressed over pvp right now and some of the people in it. Especially with leagues that just came out where people are getting really upset at losing a match. The community is getting really salty as of late and I want to know if I should just feel bad for trying to get better or by playing the game.
what’s the problem with it right now? I’m a little out of the loop. I haven’t played in a few days since before leagues started.
agreed but would still require stuff like embrace the darkness needing to be reverted to the way it was. okay its not required but it would add to all that condi pull. also to balance it, it would need to be 2 sec per second or less. This. The retribution GM trait is different in game but same slot. I’d probably switch elder force for soothing bastion but not sure yet. Staff for utility and support and M/SH for offence and bunk. This is meant to be a bunker that supports allies and have decent condi. BTW Love perma resistance. GL my fellow revs!
Shield because personally I found the shield to save my life and allow me to use the already amazing DPS to bust down people while giving me good survivability. If you want full offence i’d go sword axe because of the cc and teleport over sword sword but rev is just out so I could be wrong. but yeah i’d go sword/shield over sword/axe over sword/sword. hope this helped. =) P.S. I just realized you meant PVE sorry I’d go sword/axe then.
Since Anet wants support for the ranger in the form of druid wouldn’t it be nice if you could target your allies with the druid staff skills like the auto attack instead of indirectly healing your allies while attacking your enemy? Just an Idea…
Give this man a metal or at least a cookie. As long as demonic defiance stays the same these are beautiful! The problem with mallyx right now is that it’s a broken specialization with skills that lack the synergy they need. This would make it my new main instantly. Reaper still needs things and the mentality i’m using here is “incentivise me to use it” in terms of skills and traits, so when it comes out and if it is OP (or not) they can nerf it there and then. Otherwise things may never be played no matter how much they buff it.
So ill start with what it needs (for me to use it) in terms of under powered traits IMO.
Augury of death-
-Add a LF% gain on enemy hit, increase siphoning for each hit, or transfer a condi on hit (for allies as well). otherwise the other adepts far surpass this one.
Soul eater-
-Siphon life on all attacks not just Gravedigger and give it a increase GS attack speed like Shiro’s rapid laceration’s. Instead of Siphoning you could go LF gen but I doubt that would happen.
Deathly chill-
-Only thing I can think of is to make chill stack intensity but that could ruin chill in some ways. otherwise increase damage of chill plz.
Now time for skills
“your soul is mine”-
-make this skill generate 20% LF on each hit otherwise it will never see play ever. even if each hit did generate 20% LF I will probably us consume conditions. this would give it a chance of being used.
“Nothing can save you”-
– how much does this actually do? I can’t see myself run this over other skills because it doesn’t do much at all. Either add an immobilize to this or fear because it is weak right now. also make it corrupt more than 2 condis (maybe 3-4).
“Suffer”-
– This was the most useful shout IMO because it chilled and condi cleansed. It just helped. I do think it could apply more conditions though like bleed or torment. Plz make this a stun break.
“you are all weaklings”-
– This was okay. It could have longer lasting might still. otherwise fine.
“Rise”-
– Just make the minions last longer or decrease the CD. In a minion master build it’ll get used but aside from that it won’t see much action.
“Chilled to the bone”-
– how is this better than lich or plague? I don’t see it. maybe if it was instant activation but right now I wont use it over lich.
Shouts in general need to be instant activation and Reaper shouts need 1,000 damage each. It’s a flavor/quality of life thing and I would use the shouts if they were like this.
Reaper shroud-
– It’s perfect do nothing to it in it’s current state. maybe an slight increase to auto attack otherwise it’s godly..
GS-
-As long as it is this slow it will never see competitive play. It needs to have a traited speed increase or a flat speed increase.
AA- this could be faster
GS#5- have this ground targeted and 900 range plz. it would fix alot.
If all these changes took place necro would be great and if they are OP they can nerf them later. This wold solve any problem’s I have with reaper atm. Again this is what I would like to see happen IMO so take it as you will. plz be constructive so that We can all enjoy the game and so the devs can figure out what to do.

Regen stacking intensity could bring ventari on par with druid especially all the regen ventari has. IMO.
Plz revert to old mallyx. I really enjoyed the “Condi me bro I dare you” button. At the end of the day it wont stop me from playing revenant but plz reconsider. Im okay if the elite only copied condis. it just wont feel the same if this happens.

I have my opinions on pvp but I would like to here the community’s and maybe the dev’s opinion on the matter of the current state of pvp and the Meta atm. I would also like to know what needs to be buffed and nerfed and why? Atm I only really see mesmers, thieves, and eles every time I que for a match. so WHY?
I agree completely with signet passive in Shroud but itll never happen unless signet of undeath doesnt work in Shroud. because alot of people would hate that even though I would love it.
Its 2% LF every three seconds (roughly 300 DS hp if not wearing any vitality gear at level 80). DS degenerates faster than that, even with Vital Persistence active. Its like a worse regeneration boon but for LF only. Anyone that would complain about this would be doing so just for the sake of complaining. No one takes Signet of Undeath for the LF generation.

It would in some ways make it op but it would help us manage and possibly use things we wouldn’t usually use. It would definitely help shouts since we would have our shroud to shield us and we might actually use your soul is mine then. i’m probably wrong but that’s just my opinion. comense with the tell me i’m wrong
I like it. I’m not into the whole focus main hand but I love the utilities and Vampiric shroud. Id love to see what you come up with traits? maybe off hand pistol or scepter that applies vampire aoe field that siphons from enemies and heals allies or a teleport shot. love what you did here.
What they need to nerf is revenants just switching leends and heal from 1 to 100% in one skill. having 2 heal skills can be unbalanced.
plz Arenanet make the druid the specialization that makes me love, use, and enjoy playing ranger. plz I pray to melandru that when it is released it is the hallellujah I dream of. plz arenanet………. plz.. dont make me pray to grenth for a peacful end to the ranger.

This beta weekend was great and fun but the reaper still has issues. Here’s a list of issues I came across.
-RS2 sometimes sends me in a random direction on use. I have to stop then use it for it to work when I don’t have a target.
-IDK if this is intentional or not but stomping with reapers ounslaught equiped makes stomping 15% faster which doesn’t stop them from using their downed skill but does stop them from being rezzed that last little bit just a bit faster.
-GS5 barely closes gaps in most fights and its because it’s hard to aim and it doesnt have the range to hit with. this should be ground targeted like gaurdian LB3 or warrior GS3 and increase to 900 range IMO.
-all the abilities are easy to evade but if you do hit it hits like a truck which may prevent arena net from doing much about that.
-the sustain is weak to the point where we arent really pyramid head and more like alien. yeah we hit like a nuke but as soon as we are hit we gotta bale or die.
-CD too long on elite shout for what it does. (90 secs plz or even 70 secs)
-shouts are weak and dont incentivise use. I ran them for a bit and the offense is there but its just better for me to use other thing so I stay alive. I need a reason to use them like if rise summoned minions that didnt kill themselves that would be great (with no 40 seconds CD bs). or if the flat damage was higher on the shouts then I would use them.
- we need more approach options. The whole you can’t escape thing doesnt work because every class has way too many options to escape us. We either need stronger cc or stronger approach. (the cc is currently pretty good so I dont see that getting buffed.
At the end of the day id like GS to get a slight damage buff in pvp or a slight increase in staying in your face and the tools to stay in your face alive. at this point I love reaper its fun but in pvp I think the viability is just out of reach. IMO if we could use our utilities in reaper shroud all my problems would be solved but I’m sure many people disagree with many of my opinions already so. This is my reaper report on BWE2. now to the revenant forums!

Yeah in my personal opinion were less like pyramid head and more like an alien made of tooth picks. I found my self running in and out of fights with massive damage on RS but as soon as they sneezed on me It was gtfo for me.

Yeah GS just doesn’t work well in PvP, unless you’re playing against bad players or people who don’t understand Reaper moves yet. A lot of talks about how powerful Reapers are at the moment, but it’s only due to people not understanding the skills & moves. Once people realize they shouldn’t stand there while under 50% hp and tank a reaper spamming Gravedigger on them, people will realize the damage Reapers do really aren’t all that.
Reapers to me are more about sustain & mobility that necros never had. It was hard enough trying to lifeblast people with a 1200 range homing missile, and people here are trying to say a 170 range attack that takes a second and half to execute is gonna make necros the supermen?
Reapers are good, they make cele signet necros better. But they aren’t some super duper dps machines that some make them out to be right now.
Yeah I know what you mean. Even on a power reaper I was too predictable for good thiefs or even warriors to hit. The Hype train has turned reaper into the specialization showpony of hot and im saying this while necro is my main.

I personally think its OP for the current meta especially with them having two heal skills but I agree that its really well designed and that its super fun. I’m expecting nerfs but that’s just the pessimist in me talking. I think they need to keep the cooldown of one ability when you switch legends otherwise half-decent revenants will literally be immortal.
After the latest Beta weekend Event I came to 2 conclusions/wishes for pvp. Either revenant will be nerfed in terms of heals or all the other classes should get a buff. The revenant demon dragon combo was honestly unbalanced for the current meta. If I fought power builds I just used the dragon heal and healed to full hp. If I fought condi builds I just used the demon heal to full hp. The shield and staff also both offer huge heals (more so the shield). Now I still died, just not that often. So Instead of nerfing this why not just increase the healing of the other classes abilities like necro siphoning or ranger heals for gods sake(ranger heals are pathetic). Idk about the heal skills being buffed majorly but surely give the other classes something on par with revenant healing. Anyway I think in the end the revenant heals will be nerfed because having 2 heal skills is too much and what I’m suggesting wont happen. But hey a guy can dream right?
Does this work with reaper shouts because the the effect removes a condi per ally so is the synergy arena net wants working here?
Shouts and especially the elite are just worse then the other skills.
In terms of heal and support Its good IMO. The heals are solid because of the aura traits. But, damage (condi and flat damage) is low which is what I think they are aiming for. I dont think they’ll buff this much just because ele is at a good place right in all game types.
