I had the same issue. I just had a huge windows 10 patch that I downloaded and GW2 was closing when hitting the play button on the launcher. After closing Afterburner it fired up.
QT says I should use all berserkers while metabattle says to use 2 assassins earrings or assassins GS and scepter/torch. I currently have all ascended berserker items except torch which I need to craft. I could really use some help. My intentions are to PVE open world, fractals and eventually raids. What under water weapons are guards using now?
Thanks for the help. I guess it’s auric basin farming in green for me! Just need the ascended insignia to craft the set. Would you recommend HoT and living story for the accessories? I heard the bloodstone ring is easily obtainable. Where can I get a vipers back item quickly?
I went ahead and boosted this class ( 0 world completion). I have 6 Zojas ascended insignia’s in my bank. Should I craft a zerk set or sell and wait to unlock viper’s. I’m just now coming back to gw2 and this character is naked. I basically have every accessory/ring from fractals prior to HoT. I mostly do PvE content and looking to smash through new content in magguma and progress in fractals and eventually raids. I’m retuning because mythic Nighthold ruined my guild and wow experience. Lf friends as a side note. Lol
Couple of questions hopefully vet engineers can help with before I start an engineer. It’s been about a year and a half so I’m glad to be back.
1. Is there a weapon you would recommend for leveling? Hopefully something that will set me up for success in dungeons/raids in the future.
2. When leveling is there any traits I should get asap. I’ve completed 2 map completions prior to HoT and would love any kind of trait/speed boost tips for map completion.
3. Is engineer wanted in fractals/raids? I hear they have the hardest rotation but the condition DMG is amazing, if not the best in the game.
4. If there are any useful videos or websites where I can learn more about class and the combo fields engineer can use.
I was thinking about making a ranger for a new class. I want to get back in the game even though I have a fully ascended necro and guard. Basically I want to rush map completion asap while also picking a popular wvw/raid class/fractals. plus I crafted frostfang before I left and heard ranger use axe in meta. Do ranger pets keep aggro well? What pet should I use. I went ahead and created the character and gave him 20 slots and food. Is there anything I’m missing to make the experience faster, trying to get into hot quickly while catching up/redoing story. I had a 20 lvl experience scroll that I used to get speed signet spell. What other spells would you use while leveling.

thanks for the feedback. looks like its down to guard or ranger. When I left over a year and a half ago it felt like you couldn’t run high level fractals w/o a guard. Does this still hold true or have druids filled that role?
Looking to play a primary damage build with decent support options. I currently have a fully ascended necromancer and guardian and I am wondering if I should change classes for HoT. I started leveling ranger/elementalist to get back in the grove of things but I am struggling to choose a class. I have Frostfang as well as The Colossus in my bags and would like to be able to use those. Are any meta’s currently using axe/hammer? Thanks for the feedback. As a side note, I would like to get into WvW more as well as raiding.
I just came back after a long break and was wondering if changing the sigil on a precursor destroys the precursor making it not usable in the forge. I remember awhile back that people were complaining that they couldn’t use their precursor after changing the sigil that came in the weapon. is this still the case?
Currently looking to level a guardian and was wondering what the best build is currently available for PVE. Currently play a necro that is fully ascended. My goal is to run high level fractals 40+ and provide my group with as much support as possible without being a kitten dps.
Explain to them kindly why berserker is the best gear, why it is necessary and how they can play their game when they are alone, dont kick them because they have bad gear

The problem is that since the method of acquiring agony resistance (AR) is grinding fractals, the agony in the level 27 dungeon will probably kill you since you didn’t do enough fractals to achieve the requisite AR
There is agony resist on the TP you can buy as well as from fractal relics that are really cheap. If you don’t have the slots for resist then that’s a different ball game.
1.lets bump the fractal rewards up a bit. I have a thousand Pristine Fractal Relics and nothing to spend them on. I cant be the only one with 100’s of Pristine’s and nothing to buy. And please don’t say ascended rings. I have a kagillion in my bank tab.
2. Can we get some sort of reward for the players that run higher level fractals. The rewards need to be better so we can get more people into higher level fractals. Or want to run higher level fractals.
