In sPvP you NEED not wanted Marauder’s. There is a reason why 99% thieves running it (the 1% are trolls and newbs). Ignore anyone saying going for Zerker’s in spvp cuz that’s just dumb.
In Pve Zerk everything mobs ain’t gonna kill you anyways.
lol only troll thieves run zerker in sPVP. 11k hp is only viable if your name is Ele. Even then, it’s a stretch since Ele needs a little boost with Celes still.
Well maybe if you want to be a unique snowflake since 99% of thieves running Marauders I guess you can say to yourself you are the 1%.
So adding 2 elite specializations with a Shield makes sense? There are 9 elite specializations and 16 weapons to choose from, yet they are giving 4 specializations the same weapons. That really looks unlikely to me. That a elite specialization has been seen with a weaponskin doesn’t directly mean that they are elite specialization bound. The sword the Mesmer holds in the trailer doesn’t look like its only suppose to be for a Chronomancer.
I know it’s hard to accept but at this point it’s 90% likely that Ele will get warhorn. The more you refuse to accept it, the more painful it will be when the time comes and they reveal that Ele is, in fact, getting warhorn.
pretty sure petrify > immob.
To be honest, I think Immob might actually be stronger >.>
they can still attack/block/stuff with immob. petrify forces them to pop a stunbreak if they want to do any of those things.
2 charges of 2seconds immo > 1.5 second of stun IMO. Moreover, Scorpid is instant cast while Basilisk has a 1s cast time.
So far, double sigil is a problem only on Thieves, so…..
Nerf Thief ?
Mesmer also abuse fire/air on their Gsword, so does Lbow Ranger…
Anything with offhand dagger (on Thief) is going to be basically as viable as its opponents allow it to be.
Good video in any case OP.
Sword/Dagger? =)
Highly Telegraphed???
did you even fight asuras?
Lmao this is so true. Good luck squinting your eyes trying to dodge those “highly telegraphed” bursts from min size asura warriors, which is 99% of warriors nowadays.
Temporary bonus from signet and foods never worked with Practiced Tolerance, only permanent stats from traits and armors do. It has been this way since launch.
I think you’re missing something. Larcenous Strike IS a high DPS attack as the article states. But several factors (Including cast time and initiative cost) keep it from carrying the entire weapon to be the equal or better of D/D. Your examples in the article don’t actually speak against it’s validity. because there are simply some cases where DPS and damage are interchangeable. But the issue is a weapon set against another. Not a single attack against another.
The article says it is high DPS. When we look simply at the skill it is. But it is a non-factor when combined with the rest of the attacks and then compared with D/D attacks.
How can you claim it to be “high” DPS when there are several factors that hinders it from being “high” DPS?
You can’t have it both ways. Either it is or it is not.
For the record, I believe that the article is correct when the author wrote DPS instead of DAMAGE.
Seriously why are you even trying to argue about this? I’m pretty sure you know that D/D is hand down the best single target dps the thief has. I’m not saying this is the best weapon set because it isn’t, but it is indeed the best dps.
So I must question your motive by trying to argue this, fooling newbie teefs into thinking S/D is good for dps? Because no veteran thieves are gonna be fooled by your silly word plays and nitpick on a perfectly fine article.
S/D is a defensive weapon set focusing on evades and mobility with #2, always has been, always will be. It can hit hard, but all thieves weapon sets hit hard anyways.

If they do the upgrade for Azureflame, they will have to do the same thing for Aether, since they both share the same skin. Moreover, people will complain about their Foefire’s Essense and Foefire’s Hammer ( dont remember the name) is not fiery enough, and Anet have to change that too.
It just becomes a slippery slope, something I’m pretty sure Anet doesn’t want to get involved into.
wut, check the stat of exotic + the ruby orb inside to the ascended one, the ascended one still has higher stats.
9/10, that hairstyle look great with the face
Kinda funny because my Mesmer looks very similar to your human warrior too…
Edit: got a better quality ss with no UI
