Lets hope they can balance the class and not nerf the class.

This is why we will never have nice things, the QQer’s do there crying, the devs knee jerk react to the qq, fire off nerf after nerf, ruin the game for the players that just want to play, once the game is ruined by the whiners the players leave.

In the last 8 years I have been burnt too may times. MMO_AAAomgIT’sDashet is being developed, everyone is saying we are the cats play me. Then once the game is released the original vision gets tossed months after launch and attempted balance becomes nerfs because they are listening to the qq and not following the original vision.

That is how I have witnessed MMO in the past, I’m my biggest enemy. Every time I tell myself this is the last MMO, your done. Then the carrot gets deployed and I bite. The only game on my horizon is EQ Next but I’m apprehensive, and it’s still a long wait till it comes out.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used lightning flash to set off churning earth/earthquake/ring of fire/arcane wave in the middle of an enemy zerg. Likely before I’ve even rendered. The sub level 80’s drop, the glass cannons have 20% health, burning, and 10 stacks of bleed. The tanks are usually alright. Still it’s a great spearhead attack combo.

Other classes have skills that I would love to have, but I’m not going to attempt to call nerf to another classes because I want my class to play like theirs.

Next time you see a Ele fighting near a tower portal maybe pull him away before finally killing him.

Take mist form away but I want medium or heavy armor as a replacement.

I enjoying playing a bunker D/D ele, you get high survivability so I can keep coming back, I may not down or kill a lot, but I do manage to get under your skin. This keeps the enemy focused on me while the rest of my party can focus you down. It’s a high speed tank, in a way.

It’s the next best thing to a EQ Bard.
When people come and complain about bunker ele I know I’m doing my job.

Guild server transfers is an animal Anet created, so lets not get mad at the players for using a tool that was created by the game developers. Lets not give them the satisfaction as to argue with each other for using it.

They could never prove if you are multiboxing. A lot of families play together. So that also mean they are probably siting next to each other.

So if your partner gets up to go to the bathroom and you start to heal yourself via your partners comp, that could be deemed illegal?

I have Muitboxed in EQ, and Vanguard. I’m at the keyboard playing the game with out any third party program, the only thing needed was the /follow command and some in game macros, just to save some keystrokes.

The reason for I did it was to get more done in my limited play time. Sure you are at an advantage but it comes at a price. You have to buy two PC, two game clients and for a monthly paid game two subs.

Example I can go buy two copies of GW2, install on two separate PC’s. load both them up, now if I have the ability to control both characters manually, what is the harm in that.

I don’t see GW2 as a very friendly multibox game due to the lack of macros, so I would never do it. But if someone wants to, I don;t see how it could be considered illegal.

If you log out or change the address from /page/2 to 1 it will bring it back.

The Ele class really is a diamond in the ruff. I’m just reaching level 40 and I’m already in love with it.

It is what is happening all over society thanks to instant communication we have today. Everyone has an opinion and everyone thinks they are entitled to have that opinion, regardless how crazy it sounds. If you tell yourself something enough you will start to believe you are right.

One person comes up with a crazy idea, others say, Hey! YA I feel dissatisfied to. Lets go protest on the forums. Then 100 pages later they finally get there way. Then the viscous cycle of mass madness continues.

It is rather sad that this topic has gained so much attention. All it does is so others that they too can get there way by QQ till it happens.

It’s a hat let it go! 100 years ago the worry of the day would be where is our next meal coming from. Now it’s about a virtual hat.

Just explain to the person I use it so guild member’s can find me during events.

Anet should add an option to the Commander tag. Toggle either guild, party, or all.
Then the player has options, when doing PvE events with his guild he can have it set to guild. This way a simple blue icon can not get you bullied for using it.

It is rather said that some can’t control themselves, so they feel a need to PM a person and belittle them over a silly blue icon.

Dungeon Finder is never a solution to create a social game. If you want a social game, get rid of the instances altogether. Instances do nothing but isolate people from the game world.

Also, if you want a social game, you want an ecology within the classes/professions. Things a class can do, that others cannot. Everquest had this in spades, which made it a very social game. A Druid and Wizard could teleport, an Enchanter could give you mana regeneration, a Necromancer could summon your corpse, a Cleric could rez you, etc. I am not sure why MMOs try to get further and further away from this.

The social aspect of your game is based around the granularity of your game design, not surface level stuff like whether it has guild options or not. If you present your world as a world that people can get lost in, instead of an amusement park with every little thing pointed out on your map, you will have a more social game. If you have a reason to interact with others because other individuals offer things you want that you can’t get yourself, you will have a more social game.

The thing with raids is I could go out and one or two nights get a gear upgrade, the way it is now I have to do dungeon after dungeon to get anything.

Added the fact that dungeons are instanced kills it for me. I come from a back ground of rallying to a zone before another guild got there to clear to target.

I like grinding, don’t get me wrong but doing the same dungeon over and over is mind numbing and it just feels like a hamster wheel to keep you playing till new content is out.

WWW is the only raid feeling I get from this game, but the rewards for doing WWW are not up to par with PvE.

To be fair, it’s only been 2 weeks since the Lost Shores patch. A lot of people are rushing to snap judgements that I don’t think are accurate or set in stone. Most of the game is fun, they’re working on issues and they obviously responded quickly to this last patch’s biggest issue. I’m looking forward to Wintersday, and the next few patches after that will hopefully address some of these things (including a new QA process, please).

What he says is very VERY! true.
If we had these problems a year later after launch then I would be worried.

You only had to pay to buy the game and they have given us 3 free content patches.
You don’t get that with sub based games.

Just need to relax and understand they have find the problem, then come up with a fix, then patch it. That does not happen over night.

Been on Darkhaven since launch. Love it.

It does suck because half the time you are on the move. I now try to stop when I see I have received XP for something.

Auto loot or even an escrow at the way point. So if a bag despawns after it’s allotted time it can go into an escrow for you to pick up later.

How many get greedy; know you are going down, but do a suicide run to grab that bag before you take a dirt nap? Good times.

I look at this way. I don’t pay them per month so whatever. If I walk away for this game I don’t feel like I’ve lost anything. I enjoyed the game and got more then my $60 worth.

He is very small tip ANet. Get some good players that know each class and see if they would like to be a class leader. They can rely important fixes to the dev team.

Great week, best ever. Last night in Mag BL I think we had 5 golems + the zerg knocking at there water gate, they came from behind and wiped us in under a minute.

If that wasn’t them teaching us a lesson I don;t know what is.

Good job to all three servers. Fights like this keep the game interesting.

Most of the folks in this thread simply want Orr to be less annoying so they can farm with ease and faster. It’s pathetic really.

Orr is one of the best zones I’ve ever seen in an MMO and I’ve played about every big one since Meridian59. The zone is a hassle and it was designed to be so.

I’m with kineticdamage.6279 – This is the best zone in this game, and any other, by far.

This is just another case of people whining to whine. if it was toned down or the respawns were slower, the zone would lose all of it’s appeal. Then you would have people complaining they are bored.

You are 100% correct, I do question if spawn rates are bugged. Is it intended that mobs spawn immediately after they die?

I ask this because it only happens sometimes. Some take time to spawn again and others spawn right away.

I will have to admit that Orr is one of the most annoying areas in GW2. The seemingly endless waves of risen who impair your travel and exploration (with their CC abilities), the contested waypoints, the hazardous water travel… they all get old after a while.

Although, I can’t help but try to imagine what the developers had in mind when they designed Orr. I think they wanted a wasteland… a non-inviting place, where the undead seemed unending and there was hardly a friendly soul to be found. Orr is the undead’s territory. We have to take it back from them. In that area of GW2, we’re playing by their rules.

So the real question becomes. How do we keep the essence of Orr while making it just a tad less annoying?

Allow it to be clearable. You finish with 4+ mobs with 15% health left then POP the 4 you just killed have re spawned.

I finally got frustrated with the Orr area yesterday, the mob density I really like. What really grinds my gears is the spawn rate.

Please tell me the spawn rate is bugged at the moment.

You have obviously never played the first guild wars which went years without any sort of outside payment things like costumes. They went purely off game sales. Right now guild wars is still completely free with only costumes and things like name changes costing money.

All other mmos charge for server transfer because they are cheapskates trying to milk more money out of you even with making you pay monthly fees.

I guess I’m old school I have always played on one server, gotten to know people on and felt at home on one server.
I always thought the reason for the 24hour server transfers was so people could find each other after launch. Now it seems people use it as a game mechanic.

It was great, till the servers came down for a new build.

Yeah, it’s a little rude. The other thing I’ve seen is people waiting and running behind you if there’s a crowded bit of mobs, like I’m their personal fullback for blocking. It’s the way of the world, everyone sees themselves as a privileged quarterback.

It sucks but some have come to accept it, and can react when it happens. Gives the game a little more danger.
