Wow, the grammar kittens are out in full force today on the forums, obviously I need to be perfect and spell everything out for people on my cellphone that cant understand the OP…I missed an apostrophe, the world shall end!!!
Back on track, OP is not pugging, assumtions were made that the group had a brain cell between them.

Problem is the dagger mainhand and the dagger offhand serves opposite purposes. Dagger mainhand is for dps outside of conjures, and dagger offhand is for burst before conjuring. Dagger focus relies on the defensive utilities of the focus and the good dps of dagger mainhand, scepter focus relies on the good burst of scepter, swirling winds before casting hammer, and then the conjures dps, and scepter dagger is the burst heavy set. Dagger/dagger is a non bursty weapon mainhand with a bursty weapon offhand. You’ll also have less blast finishers than d/f or s/x, and using dagger on a full conjure build is indeed a dps loss over scepter.
Cool, so you have done a full dps test with all these weapon sets to see what the average dps is on each and you have found that dagger offhand comes out less. If your looking at it from a solo point of view, it has less finishers, but in an organised group you dont need to do EVERY blast to cap 25 might and are you honestly expecting every boss fight to out last 2 LHs and lets even throw in an ice bow there for fun…in that case, what weapon set would do more DPS…before you answer, the hint is, your not attacking with the daggers…
Eles have 3 good specs for dungeons:
Dagger/Focus – PUGing, hard content, casual runs
Scepter + Lightning Hammer – Great burst and sustained damage, permanent blast finishers, best might stacking
Fire Staff – Best sustained damage in the game, permanent fire fields
completely missed the point of the OP. An ele doesnt need a scepter to use a LH, OP assumed there was a staff ele in the group, other ele was either s/d or d/d both using the same build…once might is stacked, LH down, who does more damage. Those guides never mention maining d/d, though its fine to if you actually understand what weapons do what. Just using “build becoz build” does not show knowlage of a class, just using what others have told you to use.
Anyway… back to the real topic…
The math I did a month ago that put them at 550 gold and 500 gold, respectively, was incorrect. I goofed with how I did the Thermocatalytic Reagent calculation. It was actually 478.26 vs 391.23. As of this morning it was sitting at 467.92 vs 374.58.
I did some math to, that 550g and 500g was from another topic, but that i quoted from someone else, so my results with nothing more than the Bolts of Damask, Deldrimor Steel Ingots and Elonian Leather Squares, for Heavy armor i found it to be 334 gold, nothing else except the cost price to make those materials, 16 ingots and 25 bolts. Then worked out cost price of light armor, just the ascended materials, not the thermocatalytic reagent or insignias, for light i got, 424 gold, thats 36 bolts and 6 squares, in total the difference between the two armor weights came out at 90g…regardless, if 90g is a problem for just making the ascended mats then they wont enjoy this game regardless. Goals are there for a reason.
And my calculations are close to yours yet yours are more detailed…still just around the 90g mark…
I believe it was worked out that heavy ascended armor is around 500g to craft a full set, light ascended is around 550g for a full set, thats just a 50g difference. Heavy armor uses mithril, this crafting mat is also used to make rare weapons to throw into the mystic forge, please tell me for what other reason would anyone want silk for? Its only sorce of value comes from making ascended armor. As John Smith has said, it was on purpose. Stop looking at the cost per damask and look at the over all cost, its relatively on par.
They should have already put the silk recipes back to match the others. It will still be the most expensive mat since it used in more than everything else. It just won’t be grossly overpriced. The people that defend this are just the guys that are making tons of money off it. Those same people would make money with the cost to make damask equal to leather and mythril counter parts. They just won’t make as much. So they are trying to make it sound like its a bad idea.
I’d look into silk more before making assumptions like you just did. Silk had zero demand and sold at vendor price until ascended armor came out. It is only really used for the creation of thread for damask. I don’t believe you even know about crafting as it’s obvious other components are used more. Just look at ore.
How do you make money off of silk? The margin between the buy and sell orders is too small.
I suggest you look into research demand and supply. It will show you why prices are what they are and why they will never be equal to metal and leather. Also, reducing the quantity of silk required for damask will increase the demand for damask and increase the price of all of the other cloth components. You’re not really putting yourself in a better place. Also, the different between heavy and light armor sets is only 50 gold.
I dont think you understand, its best in slot so everyone that doesnt have it NEEDS it or they will QQ because math too hard. 50 gold difference and we get white knights of silk demands…let them have their QQ because as we all know, ascended armor makes you a better player.
I don’t even know what guild TS is. Nevermind!
Sorry that you had a bad experience. I only kick people if they either skip Lupicus, don’t read my LFG posts, or actively go out of my way to **** with me.
You know, it gives me strange reassurance to know that maybe I just had some bad luck (I should have known it’s not my day when everyone in the map dced 10min before Teq) ran into this one particular person that bothers a lot of people. So maybe it’s not as common as I thought it was and lfg can still be trusted (to some degree)
Of course I’m still going to try to play Arah and perhaps learn things from this forum. Again I would like to apologize to the real hard working people who put in effort in soloing Arah. I was being too sour and shouldn’t make topics/comments like that when my head wasn’t clear. It’s sad when you deserve your just reward, some cheat to get it and ruin your reputation.
Bro, if your on NA im taking friends to get their Lupi solos, so if your interested in practicing and dont mind spending a fair amount of time in arah ill hit you up. Just download TS3 and ill give you the details you need in game. Then you can solo lupi and kick that moron next time you see him!
Ok, so you want a level cap to only let players up to level X do that dungeon to give lower levels a chance at them…so what im actually seeing is level 80s are only able to do COE explore, HOTW and ARAH explore and i need to buy a new char expansion slot to level up to say 35 just to do AC so i can make twilight with the gift used with tokens. This sounds wonderful, Anet makes more gem sales and players already at 80 get to do less content even though the current system allows any1 from level 30 to make groups and do the level appropriate dungeons.
In regards to me bringing up the treadmill, this game is linear, youll only get better items and end game gear as you play, you wont suddenly have worse gear tomorrow, youll make more gold have ever it is you play which will eventually lead to making your next goal. You can only lose money if you throw it away in the toilet or waste it on stuff you dont need. So play smarter not harder…once some1 gets to 80 he works towards exotic gear, after that ascended…its forward progression, not backwards progression, you are never stagnant like on a treadmill, you move forward with each day.
Ok, heres my question as it was brought up that there is an endgame treadmill. Why do you NEED ascended armor??? Unless you are doing level 50 fractals the only thing you gain is a slight defence boost, if you are relying on that its not worth it. You can easily do fractals with trinkets and just weapons up level 49. If you are looking at just having the best its considered a goal, not something you get over night. So please explain why the need to have that ascended stuff, exotic gear will do as much good, weapons will be a 5% increase in DPS so those are worth it, and yes i know they are cheaper, but you will only ever gain from armor in fractals. Set goals, work towards them and achieve them.
“I know that dps guardian is much more useful than the support one”…
If you play pve (mass events, exp, farm) it’s ok, dps is always better. But if you play dungeon or pvp there’s nothing better for a guardian than the support/bunker build.
That’s why no one want a dps guardian in team for medium/high rated dungeons (arah, fotm, etc).
Um…have you never heard of Obal or Sharpclaw Swiftpaw??? Might wanna go look at that link Maha posted.
Good idea to start with, but lets take it one more step, account wide bag slot that you buy for say 1000 to 1600 gems, this can be any size bag you put in this extra bag slot but any chr. can use from it with things like potions, harvesting tools, ascended armor/weapons. Then to make it just a quality of life item we are only allowed to buy 2 per account as not to be too over the top.
This will make fractals much easier to have your ascended gear for classes of the same armor type, dungeons easier as i dont need to take up over 12 spaces for each chr. with potions. Creadit due to the OP and guildies who mentioned this in TS.
TS3:
We communicate during dungeons and other activities on Team Speak 3, it is required for all members but having a mic is not. Just be on to hear what the rest of the team is saying or joking about.
Trial:
We do trial each person that wants to join, this mainly involves making sure your gear is up to scratch and that you have the potions needed for each run. We then take you on a few runs just to see how you handle yourself. You cannot trial on Warrior as we want those who are proficient on more than just a Heavy Class. Once we see if you have potential you will be added as a "student” member where you will be monitored a week for active participation in dungeons and repping as well as skill in all dungeons. If we feel after a week you arent showing a lot of interest in the guild we will let you go.
Recruit to Soldier Rank Criteria:
-Competent in all dungeons with a 5 man party(esp. Arah)
-Active in Guild activities, TS/chat
-Positive attitude and friendly
Soldier to Centurion Rank Criteria:
-Proficient in all dungeons with a 3-5 man party
-Proficient in Arah with a 2-3 man party
After that the ranks are for Primus which is an Officer rank.
So why join [ZERK]?
We are a bunch of good players that what to have a relaxed environment with others with a like mind of playing smarter, not harder but also wanting to joke about but not at the expense/frustration of others. Play with great people and have fun at the same time.
Message me to book a trial or for more details.

ZERK – Power Overwhelming
We are a meta speed clear guild that gets dungeons completed in an efficient manner and focusing in on getting people who play on oceanic times. Want to start dungeon formations from around 5am Server time. Berserker armor and weapons are expected. So you know im trying to keep this small and tight knit so dont expect large number here, i want quality.
We are based in Sanctum of Rall (NA) but members are on different servers in NA. We have guild bounties unlocked so far and working on Guild Challenge.
Repping is highly encouraged as we want to build a community not a LFG. So repping will be expected at least 90% of the time as we want to be the main guild you are in, we want to be able to talk to you without needing to whisper all the time.
Lastly those that need help in Arah are more than welcome to join as long as you can pull your weight in all other dungeons.
Requirements:
We do dungeons fast but there is no reason to belittle others in your party or be condescending. This will not be tolerated in the least. Helping others and being a team player is the backbone of this guild, no one is here to play with those who have bad attitudes. If your on an american time can you join? Short answer is no, as we do want people to do activities at the same times and to promote a tight community.
Expectations:
Im keeping the guild small with the goal of 20 active members so that way a certain standard can be met and maintained. These dungeons will be expected.
AC: P1/2/3, TA: F/U, SE: P1/3 ,COF: P1, COE: P1/2/3, Arah: P2/3.
Classes:
Have at least two classes at 80 as follows as they are used in every dungeon:
Warrior, Thief, Elementalist, Ranger (Yes we want rangers!) All in Berserker gear.
The only other two that get used for certain dungeons are Guardians, Mesmers and Engis. Necros are not used.
Trial for Warriors is closed. So for trial you will be tested on a class other than warrior. So please have more than just a warrior and guardian.
Runes/Sigils:
For each class you have you will need to have a Night/Force set of weapons e.g:
Thief will have Dagger/Dagger with night force for boss encounters but have Sword/Pistol with Night/Bloodlust for trash mobs to gain stacks while maintaining high dps. Also have an Undead Weapon set for Arah as you will be taken in there.
Runes preferably would be Scholar but Flame Legion runes can be used until you have enough money to buy scholar. Ranger runes and strength are fine as long as they are on a class that it makes sense on.
Potions and Food:
We use food buffs for all dungeons, these are fairly cheap and can be bought for around 1s. Please stock up on them for each class you play on. They include:
Plates of Steak and Asparagus
Hardened Sharpening Stones/Quality Maintenance Oil
Powerful Potion of Dredge Slaying
Powerful Potion of Flame Legion Slaying
Powerful Potion of Inquest Slaying
Powerful Potion of Nightmare Court Slaying
Powerful Potion of Outlaw Slaying
Powerful Potion of Sons of Svanir Slaying
Powerful Potion of Undead Slaying

I clearly see sploits, skipping optional events, skipping trash, using stealth, using an ice bow instead of fgs
jokes aside, good job guys, watching the lovers room never felt so long until now!
As Saint has said, its mainly for trialing as its not fair to gauge skill of a selfish class with two health bars and determine from those runs the skill level of that player…put them on an ele or thief and im going to see if they are team players and know what they need to bring to the table. Once they pass their trial i some times need to convince people to get on their necro just because of the anti necro thing going on.
@Purple Miku, lol, no dude, it was in no way directed at you, saying i agree that pugs blame a class for being bad, its not the class but the people playing it. Wasnt saying you playing that class sucks LOL, id be sticking my foot in my mouth if i said that. Please excuse my English, its my 1st language :P
And ofc ppl arent as good as others and somehow engineers, rangers and necros are moslty those noobs that cant control the class for some reason but still would you take good necro over good warrior in your team in CoF or TA for example. I would say about 80% of ppl will pick the war….
Yeah id still take the good necro…if i had doubts about the person playing necro i wouldnt have him in my party regardless of class. Thats why i duo’d Arah with a guildie playing necro.
To be honest I almost always prefer other classes to pug warriors these days. I’m too used to seeing rifles and banners of defense or people camping dolyak signets, so I agree with you and I’d much rather take a necro if I was certain that the person playing it was going to be using everything that’s available to them to perform at their best.
People are very quick to blame an entire class for being bad but they dont seem to understand that the finger should be pointed at the person behind the keyboard itself. A bad Ranger/Necro/Engineer/Thief is going to be bad on Warrior aswell, fortunately for that player Warrior is forgiving and you can roll your face across the keyboard and stuff will die. But find me a GREAT Warrior among all those pug groups and it will be hard to find. A good player will play well on any class after a few hours of playing it, a bad player will be a bad player.
And ofc ppl arent as good as others and somehow engineers, rangers and necros are moslty those noobs that cant control the class for some reason but still would you take good necro over good warrior in your team in CoF or TA for example. I would say about 80% of ppl will pick the war….

I was hoping youd post on here Guanglai, but im sure gabbe doesnt know who you are so it really makes no difference.
Im not going to read all the comments that ive read so many times before, so if my messages seems out of place then so be it. But in regards to the OP, flipping takes work, lots of it to make any good profits and that time could be spent playing…but this playing we speak of, is that not determined by the player as to what they consider enjoyable? So if playing the market is their definition of playing stop shoving your ideals down others throat. So you know i dont flip but i understand that to be successful at playing the TP it takes more than spending 5 minutes placing buy orders. Play your game how ever you want and let others play the game they paid for have fun the way they want to. Good day!
(edited by Scorpion Over Lord.9036)
Oh, i missed that, the part where thieves, rangers and engies lack DPS…bad rotations, wrong weapons and horrible builds cause that, not the class. Id take a good necro over a bad ranger anyday…so its not the class id stay away from, its the person playing that class. PHIW FTW. YOLO SWAG.
Im sure theres a bingo in here somewhere
As to the OP, see above…Cotser covered it.
Well im still game to do it at some point, im sure alot of the guildies would love to do something different, id go as far as to ask Lilith to join and for us to RP the dungeon, that immersion bro!
Ah, i thought you ment at some point, i would have been up for it had i not needed to work. Another time then! I call for a rain check!
Bro! That sounds fun! Not because i dont like stacking, just because i cant remember the last time i did arah without using meta strategies! Count me in, im sure i can get Saint to come aswell! Even Iris would be up for that! We MUST DO THIS!!!!
If you are farming world bosses you should be swimming in ectos. Most rares should be salvaged. Greatswords, swords, hammers and staves should be either sold or thrown into the mystic forge in sets of four of the same type. Salvaging ectos for t6 dust is not cost effective in terms of gold, but if your MF is hovering at 100 or less consider doing it for the luck. If you are going to salvage ectos do it early because that way you have the magic find working for you for longer.
Consider some of the event chains in cursed shore. For some of these you get a phenomenal number of bags dropping.
For lower level dungeons use your tokens to salvage exotics for inscriptions or insignia that can’t be crafted (magi, soldiers etc.). For higher level dungeon tokens (CoF up) buy rares with your tokens and salvage them for ectos.
Thank you for the advice. So far I’ve been doing okay for Ectos (and any rares I get that are worth more than an Ecto I’ve been putting on the TP). Sadly, my salvaging luck has been horrible recently, even when using Black Lion salvaging kits I’m regularly getting nothing. I’ve hit a stack of 250 already and I’m trying to get more to finish off my clovers. Once I get all my clovers, I think I’ll start to salvage Ectos then to get the dust.
Buying rares from dungeons vendors could be worthwhile for the Ectos I’ll need for dust, so far I’ve been saving up enough to get 4 exotic weapons to throw them in the forge and selling the resulting weapon (maybe even getting a precursor in the process, but sadly, I, and a friend of mine who’s been doing the same have ended up with level 75 weapons out of this process).
As for the cursed shore farming, I’ve been doing that too when I can. I don’t always have the best of luck with bag drops, but it’s probably the best I can do when it comes to acquiring T6 mats without grinding one small region.
Thank you for the advice, though. It’s nice to see that some people are willing to offer something constructive on here.
Complaining in the OP aside, what Cormac said is right and as to what you said you are doing seems to aid in your money woes. Yes, throwing in dungeon exos gives you the extremely slim chance at a pre curser but you are throwing money away that could be used to save for the pre. Use mystic or masters salvage kits on exotics from dungeon tokens as Cormac mentioned, you dont even need a bl salvage kit. Dont waste money on ANYTHING, commit to only using your money to save up for the legandary, nothing else, luxury items add up and it hurts your savings over time. IMO the 1st thing you should have worked for was the pre curser and bought that as that is one of the hardest things apart from the t6 mats. Once you have it you know everything else can be gotten over time and prices of mats wont go up as much as the pre cursers did, i re.ember when abyss dye was 2gold when the game launched and thought 2gold for a dye was crazy…let alone 10gold to just buy the krecipe (k is silent) for the gift to make a legandary…please forgive my spelling, english is my 1st language.
but as said before, keep doing dungeons and make money from dungeon tokens…saving is key.
snip
Kind regards.
thanks for seeing our side dude, as stated before its rare to see some1 to do that.
now, in regards to your video guide idea, it wasnt completely bad…it would be great if there were full video guides but there lies a few issues which would that a lot of time. 1st is if in any patches they change something in a dungeon or change utilities the guild for a dungeon path changed needs to be redone. Different guilds/mentors use different strategies/group comps so id imagine people ripping apart minor things that still work and achieve the same end goal. These strategies would also then be based on what the person recording it suggests as builds/stat sets. Biggest problem, pugs dont always make good group comps and one cant always be trusted to do what needs to be done.
now if it were to happen juat making a thread here with mentors uploading links of the runs on youtube should be more than enough for those willing to look.
but heres my pure opinion…i loved during my “honeymoon” phase of the game learning how to do dungeons on my different classes and learning to play by experiance not guides. If everyone were to just watch videos instead of actually play wouldnt we be breeding players who can only do what they saw and if it goes bad they just wipe and repeat instead of developing personal play and figuring out ways to win, not kind of seeing it done and half doing it right. Yes, the guides could be really long and involve absolute explanations of every fight, but how is that fun as some1 who is new. I made my own groups in my pvt armor on my necro and i ranged till i was comfortable with different ideas in fights and saw tells of bosses. New players are coming in with those that are comfortable and they feel left out, but they to need to start at the bottom as we did since beta.
its a good idea, just too time consuming in a game that has updates and 8 classes those dungeons could have a pov to show from. Even just a general video could make this easier, but i loved learning myself and i think people should take more pride in experiancing dungeons for them selves in their guilds and with friends. That immersion bro!
if any of the dungeon mentors felt like we should do this id make a plan to upload some more difficult dungeon pugs struggle with. And Lilith is right in saying we get on and need to see to the needs of the many before seeing to our own needs. Im sure Lilith would join me in making a video for those that need it…fasionable asurans only though
“please share some constructive ideas about how to improve this”
I’ll bite. Has anyone considered: a separate website. Where all the tutors can put notes, videos etc. On to this website. Make it attractive as possible. Have the GW2 FB mods to link this up from their site. YT channel, clear HD videos. With each one, giving a basic tutorial on dungeons (yes I know your competing with other users that post the same thing) if all the tutors do this on one channel, it makes it more accessible. Visual presentation goes a long way. Have the websites url as your signature. Twitter etc. All this requires time and effort of course.
so you are saying that those of us that spare our time to teach need to pay from our own pockets to made a site to add videos that we record also on our free time to show how to complete simple dungeon paths for those not willing to put in the effort to google “gw2 dungeon mentor” ontop of the DnT guides already out there after every new patch? So instead of people spending some time actually learning to play for themselves they need a video explaining in great detail how to dodge and press 1 to win?
who is going to pay for this when some of us are already paying for TS for people to come on to have a 1 on 1 explanation of how to play as a team. IMO this just sounds like spoon feeding those who are too lazy to put in any effort at all when help is avalable and free.
Can some1 please post the NOOB thread here for me please as im on my phone just so we can make xallevers point clear that there are resources there for those who are new.. Its even on the 1st page of the dungeons forum, it was stickied there for a reason…and yes, there are PLENTY of people willing to teach on THEIR free time vs making money for themselves.
All good if they frequent / come on to the forum. What about those that don’t?. By all means spam mail them the link, if it helps.
Ever gone on the official GW2 Facebook page? If you ask there for a good guild a moderator will advise you come and look on the forums for a guild and gives you a link to the Looking For Guild thread…this means that ANYONE that uses just Facebook alone can find a way to get help. Those that actively make some slight form of effort will be rewarded…
focus on tanking hits until the point when the enemy is vulnerable(or at least finished with his special attacks), then striking at all hell with high precision damage. That is the goal.
There is no such thing in GW2.
I don’t want to play one build over and over, I want to enjoy the game over and over, each with a new strategy and technique
I run zerk gear but different traits, utilities, and even weapons on almost every fight throughout a dungeon run. This Apr 15 patch opened up more build diversity that you think. You are just not looking in the right place.
I do believe a troll is being fed. As much logic you try use here it shall be over looked and replaced. I say we leave the troll under that bridge to starve…though, my lunch breaks have been more entertaining due to mr troll.
Thank you for that. Ill need to add that on my signature when i get home from work, but before i do all any teaching runs or ill never get to adding it in :P
Can some1 please post the NOOB thread here for me please as im on my phone just so we can make xallevers point clear that there are reasources there for those who are new.. I’ve been using something similar since the update, and it seems to work well enough to keep toying around with it.
It still feels “stupid meta zerker” enough for the damage output, and lets me change out weapons and utility skills to feel like a guardian still also.
I have a total of 3 paragraphs in my comment, the 1st is a response to the OPs 2 builds he posted. The second is a response to this build that you posted as being “stupid meta zerker enough for damage” so id take that as PVE as the OP also said “all around PvE build that I run with” before posting his build, so that to me means hes going for a dungeon build, so if your saying you use a similar PVP build:
“my build is for pvp only and I also use hammer at times, and rune of the Forgeman, not flame legion. I don’t quite know how you saw my bunker setup and thought i’de use it in pve lol”
But first say it was “stupid zerk meta” im confused as to what your saying.
To sum up, my 1 paragraph was to the OP, the 2nd to you and in the 2nd i never mentioned hammer once. The build you posted as quoted contains flame legion runes with sigils of energy on the weapons or was that post 9 days ago wrong?
Either way its as i stated before, those runes for PvE arent good and the sigils are a big dps lose with weapons that only work well solo against bosses with big hit boxes.
Ok, in that case where do i begin.
So unless its fractals and your not used to melee, scepter isnt going to do you any favors in dungeons for dps or the skills they provide. Save yourself isnt a good utility even at a 48sec cd as it only give those boons to yourself and its not removing any conditions. Hammer isnt much better in a dungeon group unless its high level fractals as the fights in dungeons are too short to justify the protection up time and it also ruins fire fields. The traits in Honor arent necessary, if you are still practicing on a squishy guard, you only need 1 point in Honor to gain the minor trait vigorous precision. Scepter Power is also a wasted trait as in dungeons you should be close to the group to gain the boons aswell as to help res and keep the foes grouped together…this is team play…not play how you want, its a 5 man party, not a Rambo moment where you save the day from the back with a ranged weapon. Grab power of the virtuous in Virtues to gain 1% more damage for every boon you have on you…in a dungeon party you should have might and fury, thats 2% more overall dps vs extra vitality with a trait that really isnt necessary in a dungeon environment. The runes arent going to help your cause either as a boss fight can end in 2-4seconds with a half good group, so needing to keep your burns up for another 30% when you have a 6.5second burn with virtue of justice and it refreshes everytime you kill a foe with renewed justice. Also use full zerk trinkets on your right hand side of your equipment panel, you dont need extra vitality if you can dodge.
As for megastorms build hes using both scepter and torch as a set, thats a close combat off hand weapon with a ranged main hand weapon…for dungeons this is a big no no. He also has sigils of energy on his weapons for weapon swop, so that means hes losing up to 10% more dps for himself aswell as the over all party as he either doesnt know boss tells very well or just dodges when he has enough endurance. The runes of flame legion arent really good either, thats also sacrificing dps for burns that take longer to finish ticking off than a boss fight actually lasts, so that burn duration is not going to give the team or himself anything beneficial and hes traited into the toughness tree for only one beneficial thing, that being extra precision when its not needed as there should be fury in the party giving another 20% crit chance, banner of discipline and if he used scholar runes hed have 100 more ferocity.
If anything what you should take from this is that you dont need to burn to do damage, a guardian fully buffed deals more potential damage than a fully buffed warrior, its not through long burns, but pure dps from damage modifiers. The modifier that gives you 10% more dps on burning foes is enough against boss fights that last 6s with organised groups and if your fighting mobs you will be able to refresh it every time you kill something. Until conditions are buffed the burn wont help and increasing its duration for the damage modifier isnt improving your over all dps if you had scholar runes that give 10% more over all dps when health is above 90%, which should be over 80% of the fight if it only lasts 6seconds.
(edited by Scorpion Over Lord.9036)
Just so im clear, these are WvW builds?
Good idea, but i do feel you left out some stuff needed for the bingo unless you added the things only you needed to win…or am i late on this topic rendering my comment moot?
Does any1 have a stick and dead horse lying around for the OP?
2 eles so the group has 4 fgs’s, might stacking, fury and vun stacking.
1 thief for vun stacking via sundering strikes, stealth and smoke screen to absorb projectiles.
1 war to bring 2 banners and empower allies for 150 power to the group.
5th can be either a 3rd ele, guard, ranger…mesmer for cof and arah. Guard is good for some dungeons but is not totally nessesary for all but can help when a group is still learning parts.

Bump…same issue here, please fix soon guys
I know about the buyback tab, the problem is that if you do sell something by accident due to a lag spike, DC or just not seeing it and leave the map, do a dungeon or empty your bag after its full again its gone. So i’m not really asking about the obvious things someone thats been playing for a week doesnt know, but more a case for the guys that have been around since beta and found that they lost things that they honestly should not have. Like i did a test, my dungeon armor and weapons will not show at a vendor when selling, but crafted weapons will, generally a lot of the crafted weapons are expensive for example: corrupted weapons, destroyer weapons etc.
During all these meta events and event trains, one needs to sell quick, so if you swap out a weapon during something like that it can end up in a wrong bag (yes i know you get equipment bags, if not using it does) and you can easily miss a weapon when selling with team mates waiting or starting a new dungeon path.
Could an implement be placed that when selling an exotic at a merch ping a message the same as when you try salvage anything above Green if you are sure you want to sell that item? Would this be hard to add into the game, thus giving a person a chance to reflect on whether they really want to sell the item at a merch or if this is a mistake.
I don’t really think that the argument “you have equipment bags, invisible bags and a buy back tab is sufficient” when a simple option can be placed asking if we really want to sell said item or not. To not make it irritating selling, it only needs to be exotics that ping such a message as having to sell greens would really be frustrating.
So i need to know if others have experienced this as I have as well as a friend selling his Vision Of The Mists at a merch in Mount Maelstrom by accident.
I have to sold soul bound weapons as well but not something that was worth so much and had so much work put into getting it. After reporting it in the Account Issues forum the response was:
“Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team.
While I would like to replace or restore your items, the Guild Wars Support Team is unable to replace individual items in the situation that you have described.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Regards"
Now if I had sold a legendary or 200 gold weapon i would like a bit more than “Is unable” as time was spent in the game we pay for and would at least like some security with the things we work hard to get.
Is this just something that some experience or is this just an over reaction? I know we can have invisible bags, but should expensive weapons, soul bound weapons be sell-able? Could we not let them just be salvageable for sigils and rare materials if we no longer want them? But to let them get taken away so easily seems very wrong for the most part.
Please leave a reply if this has ever happened to you or if you have an opinion about this at all?
Also missing my mini, thanks in advance
Must agree with everyone here, got to the last level before the Maw, and it was the Ice Boss…needless to say we couldnt do anything about it and we couldnt get to the Maw and finish our daily on level 32…so no new level and no chest…awesome!
I was thinking about this same topic, but i have a suggestion that may make it a little more convenient for all those who do dungeons often. Instead of having the tokens in the form of an item, would it not be possible or practical to convert each one into there own form of currency such as gold, and how you deposit gold in the bank, this eliminates the problem of having to keep multiple stacks in the bank and on other characters.
Not sure if this would be easy to implement but being able to go to the bank and deposit 1000 COF tokens without messing up ones storage for other collectibles would probably make it a little more comfortable for all players saving for weapons and armor.
