Excellent post, you spoke my mind. Personally, I feel a sense of dread whenever a new content is due to be released because it meant more time-limited content.

2 week events is a bit much in my opinion, with me and my group of friends constantly scrambling to finish the achievements, for fear of losing out on the temporary content. Often times, we curse and swear at the start of the event, and we try to start on the content as soon as possible because we don’t want to be caught off-guard by content that could take a loooooooooong amount of time like the Aetherblade Retreat achievements and Light Up the Darkness.

Most of us (in my group) agree that the LS events are starting to feel like a chore because of how rapidly its being dished out. Just like Xavos.9357, we want to experience the open world content and yet most of us don’t even have time to enjoy that aspect of the game anymore because we only have enough spare time to finish our LS.

I’d really like to appeal to ANet to reduce the rate at which contents are being released, or at least reduce the amount of time required to do these contents. I personally appreciate hard content because they challenge my skill, but like what the OP said, hard and temporal contents really don’t mix. Keep making hard contents, but don’t make them temporary, we want to challenge ourselves at our own pace, not confined with a tiny 2 week time frame. Of course, you can argue that content like the Gauntlet is available for 4 weeks, but realistically, we only have 2 weeks to finish it since new content is always being dished out every 2 weeks.

You could melee her (she’s not a bomb) but it can be quite difficult to do so, what with the AoE and the Visions and all.

Personally, I kept backing up in a circular fashion around the dome (somewhere between the edge and the center so you don’t need to walk as much to the next safe area) all the time while auto-attacking with the Scepter. Turn around and run instead of backing where necessary. I used Smite to get rid of the Cosmo Rifts as well as for extra damage output when she remains stationary.

So maybe you can try level 75 is a reasonable minimum, but I just recommend doing it at 80.

This is kind of sad for me to hear. I don’t expect ANet to compensate any losses due to transactions such as these, but if someone is a serial scammer, they should weed someone such as this from the community.

By allowing scammers to run free in the community without consequences, they are encourage new aspiring scammers to view this as a brand (& legit) new way of making gold ingame.

It shocks me that they will ban people who’d kick people out at the end of the dungeons because of their appalling behavior, but not do the same for scammers.

Happened to me in sPvP once, this definitely needs to be fixed. There should also be a Report option for “Exploiting/Cheating”.

I also think that this method of representing currency helps reduce the number of incidents where someone types one less/extra 0 when placing stuffs on the market for sale, so I like that

1. If its on the same character and within the same day. No. Plus, you will be subject to DR even if the second run happens to be on a subsequent day in-game unless you took 2 hours to play AC path 2 or something.

2. For the same character, when its another day on the server, its 00:00 UTC (4:00 PM PST/5:00 PM PDT updated from RedStar’s post).

3. Only if its 2 hours between runs of the same path. And yes to the second part.

4. Hard to say, there’s once that I netted 30 tokens when repeating and once when I got 27 tokens. But I think that it won’t fall below 20 tokens because that’s what you get when you repeat the dungeon on the same character on the same day.

This sounds a bit like the paragon levels from Diablo 3 and I like the suggestion that there should be a cap for MF. With a passive MF system in place and a cap, people won’t feel obligated to spam MF gears in order to not “lose out” on loot, especially once they hit the cap with passive MF.

Maybe because people are replacing their current 15 slot bag with the 15 slot gift box. Imagine if just 50% of the players who own 15 slot bags replace 1 of theirs with that gift box, then there would certainly be an abundance of supply and therefore a drop in prices?

This is assuming that those 20-30 new posts comprises individual sell orders from individual players.

That’s just my guess.

Hi Guys,

I recently got a Half Eaten Greatsword and I was checking the prices on the TP when I realized that it went for ~60 silver which is an oddity. I tried previewing the item but it looks like an ordinary Greatsword. The stats are also nothing to boast about since it’s a low level weapon.

Does anyone know why this particular weapon fetch such a high price?

Something like this but the Scabbard doesn’t appear from the Relics.

EDIT: Managed to finish the story on my fifth try. I have no idea why the Scabbard is just lying around randomly on the floor and not near the Dwarven Relic I was investigating. I was expecting the Scabbard to appear around the Dwarven Relic since it progressed the objectives.

When picking up the right dwarven relic, the stone sheath will instantly disappear without a trace and the story will be blocked.

I tried 4 times as well but to no avail, I’m hoping that this would be fixed as its a blocking issue.

There is such option, no? I joined many times party member in OF by clicking right button on member and “Join in something something”, it doesn’t say that it’s an OF, just the place.

In order to do this, you need to have at least one member in an overflow you could join in. And if you can’t get one of your members in an overflow, then you pretty much can’t party together (because you cannot join in a main server that’s not your server). Fractals is one such dungeon that requires everyone to be in the same overflow (if you come from different servers).

Hence, it is my belief that the OP is asking for the choice to jump into an overflow server without the need of another player in his party already being in an overflow. In that case, I think it is truly something we need to facilitate partying.

Anyone check if this bug applies to dungeon bandits in CM?

Maybe! I did Path 1 for the first time this week and found myself knocked down permanently by the first boss. I am unsure if that is normal (since it was my first run) but this kind of makes sense now.

Happened to me too! I just thought it was a kitten-hard boss but I guess its a bug.

I just saw one of these rangers in Wayfarer’s, she “teleported” (ranger cannot teleport AFAIK) from node to node. When she disappears, she loses aggression of the mobs that are attacking her.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a lag issue because I saw other normal players moving around just fine.

I reported her, of course.

I agree with you that finding party members for a dungeon in Story mode is a really difficult task and there are very few players who are seeking to do Story mode. Even fewer players who have done the story already are willing to help. Personally, it took me days to find a party for HotW and CoF.

I agree that giving a fraction of the tokens that would otherwise be obtainable in Explorable mode would provide more incentives for veteran players to join on Story mode. A fraction is given simply because the Story mode is typically easier than Explorable mode, to prevent possible exploitation.

Alternatively, we can have people obtain 20 tokens per dungeon’s Story mode (replayed) per day, this would encourage veteran players to assist other players in their Story mode. I would also need to state that a Story mode completion should not exhaust the 60 tokens you get when you complete a dungeon on Explorable mode the first time in that day. It should be an independent condition and reward.

Another possible solution is the choice (of the player who initiates the dungeon) to upscale a Story mode’s difficulty to that of an Explorable mode’s difficulty, this would justify handing out tokens to players who have already completed the dungeon. The choice of whether or not to give tokens to the first timer does not really matter, you can argue either way.

TL;DR It’s tough finding a party for Story mode, because most players are unwilling to do Story mode more than once. Therefore, there should be tangible incentives for these players to assist others in Story mode.
