Does anybody have pictures of all of Deborah’s appearances (Ascalonian, Krytan, Canthan, Elonian)?
I want to make sure I match my choice to my appearance as accurately as possible.
Please bring back this wonderful mechanic from Nightfall and give them to Guardians!
Are there any plans on fixing this problem? Guardians and Rangers deserve to be heard just as much as Warriors are!
Weapon rarity has no affect on stats in structured PvP.
Thank you for the clarification, but this hasn’t been made clear in-game. How will players know when they’ve entered with exotic weapons and the weaponsmith sells white-grade equipment?
While I appreciate different levels of gear as much as the next person (PvE), one of the things I enjoyed about PvP is that no matter what level you were or what gear you had, everyone was on a level playing field as soon as they entered Heart of the Mists. Now I have exotic weapons and my guild mate, who doesn’t have an exotic staff, is either forced to get one from a dungeon with the stats that he wants or has to use a white level one from the weaponsmith. Gone are the days where we could put together the one we want and go forth.
Why did the team make this change? I appreciate it greatly in PvE, but this implementation in PvP has resulted in a Great Divide where loot and PvE time has now directly influenced advantages and disadvantages in PvP and that isn’t fair.
With the new trait system being implemented, please give us the ability to save builds to a file and load them à la Guild Wars 1.
I hope this small suggestion is strongly considered.
Does anyone know if this bug has been fixed?
What should I do? Can Anet send me a free Sigil of Renewal or that item kit that doesn’t destroy items that upgrades are removed from so I can hold on to it and use a different Sigil until the bug is fixed?
Yes. I’ve waited up to 15 seconds in my tests. Swapping in the same conditions has been successful in PvP and with different weapons in PvE, so I know it isn’t my timing.
My mace has a Superior Sigil of Renewal and my shield has a Superior Sigil of Energy, as well as my greatsword. When I switch to my greatsword while in combat, I gain 50% energy but I do not when I switch to my mace and shield.
I have tried the same shield with different main-hand weapons and I am able to gain energy successfully. I have also tried the mace + shield combo in the PvP lobby against golems and my energy also restores successfully, leading me to believe that this is a PvE problem specifically with that sigil + sigil combination.
To reiterate: A superior sigil of renewal on my mainhand and a superior sigil of energy on my offhand does not result in energy gain when swapped back to this set.
To be clear, this is meant to apply only to shouts that affect allies, such as “For Great Justice” and “Stand You Ground”; NOT shouts that affect enemies such as “On My Mark”
In one of the most recent patches, several of our skills including Hallowed Ground and Puring Flames were also given buffs of the same name.
I would love it if the trait Vigorous Shouts also gave a buff to all allies affected in its radius (Kind of like Battle Presence) which was along the lines of:
You are healed by shouts that affect you.
This opens up an entirely new form of synergy between Warriors and Guardians. A Warrior can bring the trait which allows allies to be healed not just by warrior shouts, but all shouts that affect them in general. This also increases the Guardian’s effectiveness and would make for an amazing Warrior-Guardian shout setup, or even with a Ranger if a pet is under the effect of the buff as well.
Perhaps the healing power modifier for this trait can be modified in case some people think it’s OP, but I still hope that it is considered for implementation into the game!
I’m a Guardian having the worst luck in the world with this achievement. Any strategies or tips?
I tried posting this in the Twilight Assault forum but it wouldn’t let me.
I thought I remembered Kiel talking about re-exploring the Molten Facility if she wins the election. Is there any news about being able to return to the Molten Facility or am I mistaken?
Thanks.
Couldn’t this have been made into a combo field?
I was selling to a karma vendor when I curiously checked out one of the items she had for sale and I read the special little quote as part of the karma weapon:
“We reinforce these with our own special techniques.”
—Warden Gemai
It would be a fantastic idea to allow players who are crafters (such as a Weaponsmith or Huntsman) to write their own little blurb, quote, or whatever personal touch message they want on an inscription that they make, so when they fuse it with a weapon it gets that little quote when someone else reads it. Just a little extra feature so people know that I made that weapon; the handiwork is mine.
The quote should be typed in when crafting an inscription or perhaps a dialogue box could pop up at the end of crafting a finished product (such as a sword, hammer, or bow).
I’ve included a picture as an example. While this is a small idea, I think it’d make crafting more enjoyable and personal for the crafter.
I understand the reason for implementing a fee for switching home servers, but I am currently in a position where two of my guild members who are not on my server want to switch, but won’t until “it becomes free again.” Which, let’s be honest, I don’t think is going to happen.
Therefore, I propose the idea that switching servers should be free if a guild member invites you to their server. Or perhaps when you want to transfer servers, you have to pay as you do now but if you have guild mates on other servers, transferring to those servers only could be free. This promotes guild members coming together to build a universal pool of influence without needing money to unify their efforts.
Even though guesting is free, shouldn’t Guild Wars 2 be about bringing players together in every sense of the word? That should include allowing everyone on the same server to build Influence.
Two words: Sentinel’s Inscription!
If my guild drops a karma banner for other people to use (or any banner for that matter), does our guild get more influence back for each person that uses it? I’ve always wondered if there was a return on banners or not.
Please consider adding a “Guild Rename Contract” similar to the Name Change Contract!
Is boon duration for this armor set now, fixed? Can anyone confirm?
Has Giver’s armor boon duration bug been fixed yet? To be clear, do the appropriate stats carry through now and work properly, or is it still non-functional?
I remember Guild Wars 1 having free 24-48 h keys you could either get for free or buy for like $2. I have a friend who wants to try GW2 and I was wondering if there was a way I could give him a trial key or something for him to use.
Otherwise, when is the next free weekend?
Turns out it was in my inventory. Please delete this topic.
I accidentally dropped Majory’s Tassi box during the “Investigate the Dragon Bash effigy site” mission and can’t get a new one, even if I leave and re-enter the instance. Has anyone else had this problem?
My character just keeps saying, “Not right now. I’m busy.”
I should know this but what are “procs”?
Seeing as the “Honor” trait line specializes in both Healing Power and Vitality, I thought it’d just make sense to switch from Cleric’s to Magi’s to fully utilize the bonus stats given by that trait line. I tend to go 0/X/X/30/30 with either 10 in Valor (if running Cleric’s) or 10 in Precision (now that I’m trying Magi’s) – however I feel like without any toughness added to my base, I have more health but I’m losing it just as fast. I’m wondering if I should compensate my lack of Toughness with more Toughness-oriented gear, or if I should scrap what I’m trying to do all together and just stick with Cleric’s.
Boon duration is also important to me, but I already have a P/T/V set with 2 Mo/2 Wa/2 Maj Sct so I’m thinking of investing in 6 Sup. Monk to give everybody Aegis, 6 Guardian to compensate for no toughness while also boosting HP, or 6 Mercy because I always like to try and revive people mid-combat.
Any pointers would be much obliged.
When a warrior shouts, everyone can hear it. Anet, please implement the ability for others to hear when Guardians use their shouts! I play with others in a room with my sound off sometimes so I can attest that Guardians cannot in fact be heard!
How effective would this build be on a full Magi set of armor?
Why can’t I enter Memorial on the Pyre with friends? When I’m in a party and I want to enter, it automatically sends me in alone.
Isn’t it redundant using “Save Yourselves” with “Contemplation of Purity” though? Since SY gives you boons, CP is really just ridding you of the conditions since the boons it applies you’re probably already getting from SY anyway.
Perhaps this skill can be reworked to function similarly to Light of Dwayna.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I’m a Guardian and I figured using it with a short cooldown healing skill such as Shelter would be beneficial. My main concern was whether or not people thought this was meant to be a supportive setup or a solo one, so I’m thankful for your insight.
I wanted to discuss this armour set with most of you. Do you think this set is most ideal for a healer setup, or would some of you vouch for Clerics armour with a different rune setup?
In PvE, if I click on “Deposit Collectibles”, where do my PvP items go? I had multiple staves, daggers, etc. and I’m not sure where they went and since only one of each type can be placed in my locker. For example, my second staff, the “PvP Staff of Force” I got with tickets, has disappeared. Where did it go?
Reminder: I was in PvE when depositing my collectibles and I am inquiring about PvP items.
According to Guild Wiki the +15% Protection Duration stat is bugged. Can anyone confirm if this is still true or if it has been fixed?
Are the Superior Runes of the Monk able to be substituted with Superior Runes of the Grove? The healing stats seem to be the same.
EDIT: I’m guessing it’s because of the boon duration stacking between the two different sets of runes.

I just tested it on my own. For future reference with anyone else wondering, the answer is yes. I recommend that the tool-tip be revised whenever the appropriate trait is equipped (Just like the recharge rate of skills is properly changed when certain traits are used).
Does the “Vengeful” trait (increases retaliation by 20%) work with “Stand Your Ground” on other allies? Or does it only count with retaliation gained in other ways?
IF this is true, which there is no evidence of it… it could also have been for 2 others reasons. A) NCSoft wanted to shed the image of this being a primarily Asian MMO for Western audiences, so they figured dropping Cantha would help that OR
They weren’t overly thrilled with how Cantha was portrayed in GW1 and didn’t want a repeat of it. I mean, at the end of the day, the Factions story was good but I can’t think of too many players off the top of my head who ever said “Cantha is my favorite place to go!”.
Cantha is my favourite place to go!
I’ve been searching in my achievements list but cannot find any reference to the Combat Healer title track.
Can anybody tell me where I can track how many revives I have done which go towards this title? Thank you.
Ever since I started watching the progress of this MMO around 1.5 years ago, I got the gut feeling that this MMO was specifically about “the climb” and not the “end game scene”.
Guild Wars 2 should stick to their “the climb” approach while also including the grinding “end game scene” that more traditional MMO players expect – doing so keeps the best of both worlds in check.
I’m not at end-game yet but a friend of mine is and he was speaking to me about some of his concerns. He still had these concerns after I referred him to this article.
His exact words were:
1. “So… there really is no end game in GW2, and that’s a bad thing. I don’t want to do the same Zerg fest events over and over and over until I get enough karma for gear that doesn’t really matter because I don’t need gear for anything after I beat the game.”
2. “The instances are fun but the story-mode versions are generally harder but you don’t get any reward for doing them, whereas explorable modes give you tokens that you can put towards gear; but again what do I need that gear for?”
3. “Most MMOs have a gear check phase at the level cap where you have to make sure your gear is up to snuff to do the next set of content. GW2 stops dead at level 80. There is absolutely nothing to gear up for because the game doesn’t have anything like raids.”
4. “Events on Orr are a Zerg fest. Trust me. When you get to the end zones all there is are events, no hearts. And you just end up in this group of 40 people just AOE spamming everything in hopes that they do enough damage to get a gold participation. Not fun.”
5. “And then there are the boss type enemies who just one-shot everyone and your only option for success is to have enough people there to revive people so you last long enough to kill it.”
I don’t have much of a personal opinion because I haven’t even reached 60 yet, but that doesn’t sound good. What are the thoughts of some of the other players out there who have already surpassed endgame?
What are the ideal values for an AMD Radeon HD 6670?
Whether I’m exploring deep in the Maguuma Jungle or running to the sunny horizon of Divinity’s Reach, whether I’m talking to a gruff, bury Norn or the most tranquil Sylvari, every Armor Repair NPC says the same darn thing:
“Good as new! Unless you start up bear-wrangling, this should last you a while.”
Repeated speech in such a common NPC all across the world really takes away from the individuality of races, areas, and the immersion of the game as a whole.
I understand Norn talking about bear-wrangling, but an asura? A sylvari? And every single Repair person?
Please implement varying or unique dialogue responses for the Repairs NPCs – just like the rest of the NPCs.
