1) for the most part, it just comes down to the luck of the draw when it comes to the matchmaking system it tries its best to give competitive matches, but the system was designed for a much higher active population than what is currently available.
2) A lot of their wins were against higher rated players than a lot of your wins.

One of the past patches removed the ability to change classes once the match has started, but you still can switch classes prior to this.

if a player doesn’t meet the required minimum required games played for a given week they won’t be displayed. The reason why it has worked in the past is either it was before they implemented the weekly minimums or they have met the requirements.

Finding the most suitable hours for players is wonderful but why have it as a daily in the first place. There are more than enough PvP dailies for the automated system to pick from even with the removal of the class specific ones that this doesn’t need to be there. If you look at any other dailies that are available they all either have a set timetable or none at all.

for the most part, the in-game reporting system doesn’t amount to much unless they do something extream and blocking them doesn’t make a difference when queuing there is always a chance they will be on your team. The best advice I can give would be to add them to your friend’s list and try not to queue when they are in the lobby when possible.

Mostly likely the ranger was running the bunker druid build most likely with the magi amulet hard to say it was this exact build but it would be something based on it.

I am by no means a warrior export but this is the build I used when I was leveling and it worked for just about everything in the open world (PvE) you won’t be invincible and some of the harder skill points you’ll need more people but this will at least get you started.

the two open skill slots can be filled with different skills depending on your needs. And if you want to you can swap the defense trait line for discipline trait line for the burst mastery so that you can use your burst skills more often.

profession locking could work if somethings would be added alongside it especially if the locking happens at the time of queue.
– A quick way to switch builds while waiting for a match to start (60 second isn’t quite long enough to set everything up.
– To obtain a profession MMR then said profession would have to go through placement matches.
– Tournament rules need to be enforced (no class stacking)
– Possible mirror style matches ( could be boring but it would come down to more skill rather than profession type)

went to see for myself and tested on some dummies not accurate tests but tests non the less with out might to a heavy arcane wave hit for about 1640 and to a light 1978 and with might to a heavy 1863 and light 2089 on average. Didn’t get to test out the shield Never really payed much attention to values before

By no mean am I an expert with the elementalis. But I came up with this http://tinyurl.com/o9u9vb6 set up traits and what not can be easily switched around to fit what you like but it has a mix of celestial and zerker’s gear not sure how well it does as my ele is only level 40 but I think it would work well for dungeons and open world.

Nothing is written in stone as to what this “balancing” patch may include but with the current pvp meta being focused on conditions one would have to say that yes a nerf will more than likely will happen and necromancers, engineers, rangers, thief, and to an extent warriors will be hit rather hard. I really would not get my hopes up for our upfrount damage to get buffed in some way since when they nerfed conditions the first time around they did not give us any boost to our damage to compensate for the loss of conditions damage. Granted the balancing team may have learned from their past mistakes but again I wouldn’t get my hopes up for that either since in their eyes they don’t make mistakes. But whatever comes down the tubes I enjoy playing my engi and will continue to do so even if all I can do with it is farm mats for my other characters to play with.

First: I am sure this has come up as a suggestion before and it would be rather unlikely that it would not have come up during the development of the game or during the planning of the game. The idea would be to separate the game in to their respective arenas so that when a player would enter a given area of the game whether it PvE, PvP, or WvWvW. This would give the developers the ability to tune the skills in the game to that given area without the worry of a balancing fix having any of the ill effects of the current balancing methods. I do realize that this task would be difficult to implement into the game however, the developers did implement a separation of the skills in the game with GW1 I also realize that this may bring more work for the developers of the game but it is something that really needs to be done.

Second: The second idea would be to potentially revamp crafting in the game to allow for a greater ability to craft ever available stat combination in the game some of which are currently unobtainable without some mindless grind for karma, dungeon token or gold all of which have a diminishing returns if farmed. A question that may arise will not implement this ability to crafting make the karma vendors and dungeons currently offering the missing stats that cannot be crafted useless. No, it would not render the current acquisition methods useless since they do offer unique skins for said gear that is highly sought after it would simply give the player base a different method of acquisition of gear.

Third: I do love the aspect of the living story as short term content but why does this content have no effect of the world itself. For example, the last part of dragon bash event where there was an attempt on a nobles life and an investigation into who it was commenced. If either people missed it completely by not being able to play during the event or just simply ignored it their story is no different world is no different than they even got a pat on the via in game mail for helping find the people that put the hit out on the noble. Another example is flow of refugees to Lion’s Arch and other major cities around the world but after the event was completed where did they all go they vanish and no longer are seen anywhere. These events should have some lasting effect on the games world to make the world seem more alive and less stagnant that it does now. I see the living story as an somewhat of an interactive story book. And in these types of books or any book for that matter when you move from chapter one to chapter two the events that happened in the previous chapter(s) do not simply vanish like a fart in the wind. But are layered and build upon leading up to some big conclusion or leave off on a cliff hanger to be solved at some later date.

Fourth: The personal story is an interesting addition to the character development scheme. However, it has little effect on the world around you if I choose to answer everything with force and gain a reputation of this power monger it has no effect on the world around me. I walk into town and go up to any vendor or towns person and nothing they all interact with the same as anyone else none of the npcs run from me or cower in my presence it is as if the chooses I have made during my personal story mean nothing. I do relies at this point in the game it would be rather difficult to implement something that could change this but perhaps something could be put in like unique vendors that have something unique for those that have chosen a specific path or flavor mail sent to you. It would make the world seems more alive and the chooses you have made threw the life of your character actually matter beyond a simple icon on your character sheet.
