Sorry love, I disagree with moving it. At first I was frustrated then I saw the viewpoints of those who love WWW but hate the PvE aspect. If they have to suffer with exploration, we should have to suffer with WWW.

Hold up, use a cat or mini potion (endless if available) I swear it helps. I use a mini cat tonic. It makes it SO much easier to see and jump. That or get the experimental rifle. Use it with a mesmer/chrono and portal your way up.

I am curious about the Lake Doric one, when I do my dailies, especially regarding the unbound magic, for me its darn near impossible to find unbound magic.

Going to the peach tree is the easiest considering you’re going there already for another daily.

That the one where you kick trees repeatedly and spiders fall out? Got frustrated with that.

Eh, not really feeling the whole “God” thing. Dragons yeah, but human Gods, then you have all these other races with no gods, just doesn’t add up imo. Asura, Charr, Sylvari, Norn don’t worship human gods. So throwing it into the mix now is just a tad bit of overkill imo. I am sure the Charr are going to be like “Oh THIS is the idiot that wanted us to be terminated? Yeah….not our problem”

My request is this. If we do use oakheart essence, please if we decide to gather anything (wood, ore, plant, etc) don’t disable the remaining uses of the oakheart. Kinda frustrating.

Hands down for me: Bloodstone Fen. The mechanics, the attacking while gliding, everything about it is fun to me.

I hear ya. But I see the pvp plight as well. Gear up a gaurdian, make it a dragonhunter, eat your veggies amd oil yourself up, throw a couple of boosters on and wallah. At first I fussed about it but 3 weeks later I have 10 gifts of battle on my bank. I just now have to grind out 8 gifts of exploration. Use your proof of heroics that you earn to get all the vistas complete and badda bing badda boom you have the hardest part done. Hearts are easy, and running around is tedious but doable.

This is more of a QoL idea for some,

It seems recently I have been making more and more friends in WvW but they are on the opposing teams. Currently you cannot click on the player and right click their name and “Add Friend” but instead you add them to the block list, grab their ign and then whisper them/add them (after you unblock).

Seems a bit if a hassle to just friend someone who is on another server in WvW so…why doesn’t Anet just make it as easy as adding some random person in PvP/PvE? Where there is a way thats technically more work, no one can say that its to prevent salt (as ppl will whisper you anyway so using this excuse is bogus)

Its not a huge deal, but seems like something so simple made a bit more complicated.

Thoughts?

I actually instead of whispering said player, I send them a in game message. It’s always a considerate message, praising them on their technique, etc. I refuse to ever whisper/msg a player just to be a butthead. Made more friends being impressed and kind, even if they are on the opposing side.

I do think the current way of getting the id is the best way, because if it was easier to msg an opposing player I would assure you it wouldn’t be in kindness.

I have to agree with Ni In. You can set your squad to where the squad leader can invite only. Or once you get your members in, set it to no one can join. As a Pug myself, I see a group, I tend to follow but not engage.

it’s actually a lot easier to get participation and maintain it in the lower tiers. You won’t find zergs running over you while trying to cap a camp.

You don’t need WXP for Gift of Battle, only participation.

Which server would you recommend? I can’t run in zergs as my computer internet connection will not support it. It’s painful but about the only thing I can do is roam as it is. Went from TC to YB then to Mag but haven’t really found a good server to do what I am trying to accomplish. Just sucks yanno?

Edit: Left TC when it was a T1 server. Couldn’t get ahead on my track rewards. I know it sounds selfish but in a sense it kinda is.

I actually like that idea. After last night, I was exposed to the beauty of GvG in ObS. Either that or make another map for GvG’s. (Kind of like custom arenas in sPvP)

Throwing an idea out there, can a code be implemented like RIFT had where you could hide people by pressing a hotkey? They had that problem with vendors, banks, etc where you couldn’t get to the object or merchant.

Took a week off from playing to play a few games on PS4. Came back and fired up GW2. I keep getting this error and the game crashes. Have not changed anything on my gaming laptop or downloaded anything that would warrant getting an error code. Any idea of what to do to fix this?

Also adding the following: ROAM will never have a TS. Reason being is because even I can’t run TS on my bad connection. Which is good because others will not feel they have to manage a TS while playing. The goal of ROAM is also to help keep a lookout for squads that are on the map you are on. Keeping them informed of where the “action” is at via mapchat helps them navigate around or into the fray, yet also helps other roamers avoid the blob.

Sometimes you just want to run solo in wvw, but get the feeling that you just aren’t understood? That you wish to find other souls like you? When you hear the commercial for Farmers Only, do you wish there was a place for Roamers Only? If so, then you need to look no further! [ROAM] Roamers Only is a brand spanking new guild (seriously just me atm) that offers kinship to those that have been bitten by the Roaming bug! Sure it’s just a tag, but its a tag worth displaying stating that you don’t follow the crowd, that you will take the lone roads to that camp up north.

Sure [ROAM] doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a huge guild, probably never will, but I hope you will take it into consideration and join [ROAM] to proudly show you are a lone wolf, not to be messed with! If you are interested in Roamers Only, feel free to msg me or add me to your friends list. Sinfullysweet.4517 There is no Rep requirements, no demands, just a tag. I was wondering: I can check with the team, of course, but perhaps the “free play” period was designed to allow people to get into the map, choose their location, and be ready to start a round of songs. If that was eliminated, might there be complaints about how we players are always joining in the middle of a session, which means we’d lose the ability to get maximum rewards? I’m just speculating here, but it crossed my mind.

That looks like a confession to never having completed a single full session of Bell Choir in the 4 years that it has been around…

try to pull from the top of the chat box (close to the right corner) and drag it up to the top of screen. Squad stuff now at top of screen……do ur options and what not, then drag chat box back up. if its locked still try in options, something there might be locking it (although i doubt it). More likely ur mouse or someehting ingame causing the problem.

Won’t rule out its a glitch though….I mean I get my minimap screwed up when im commanding so i can’t pan it and instead it beacons everywhere which is infuriating.

I wish I could say what happened, but after restarting my pc, and giving it another shot, it crashed one time then about 60 seconds later came back up and started downloading.

Sorry I don’t have more information or more of a “fix”

Good afternoon!

After getting the message this morning via facebook, I loaded up my GW2 launcher to begin the update. It downloaded a bit, then suddenly closed. Since then when I open up my launcher it continuously closes with a popup wanting me to send the error to Anet.

Any clue as to what to do?

At first I hated it, it frustrated me to no end. But once I got the jist of the fact you really do need a small group to complete. That is very easy to do as well, many commanders more than happy to help.

My warriors, I didn’t have a Charr character, so I ended up making two. One flower girl and other beast boy. I also have a massive OCD regarding the way they look. Also had to take two photos, because at the login screen my Charr was too massive.

Then I feel it may be best to take another break again, I truly love the game and what it has to offer. It has so many things for so may types of players, and that is a wonderful thing for a game in this day and age. I am probably in the need of something more ezmode atm and I wouldn’t dare ask for that to be catered to me since that would diminish another players enjoyment. With all the years of MMO’s under my belt, I am probably experiencing a huge burnout against difficulty of any type. I was hoping that wasn’t the case. I still have a huge collection of games that I need to complete on my xbox (ack! dont burn me at the stake!) and games on my steam account. Always been a single RPGamer at heart, and love the fact that you can interact with other people now in the RPG games of today, so I know I will be back at some point again =)

Just wondered why low leveling seems to be much harder now than what it was before. Especially if you are higher ranked than the area you are in.

I don’t really understand that either. For example when I take, say a level 15, to a level 5 area I’m almost 1 hitting everything in my path. Then I take the same character, now level 25 or so to the same area I’m not getting beat up but it is like I have to hit them 3 or 4 more times than before. I’m sure it is just some game mechanic that I don’t understand but it does seem odd. I’m aware of the down leveling but it seems weird that a 25 down leveled would be worse than a 15 down leveled.

I just started doing a personal story with my 36 and almost got killed by a group of 6 level 5 mobs lol.

That’s exactly the same scenario I am seeing myself and kinda baffled by it. I could understand downleveling to the correct level, but it seems like the damage is off on the downleveling. As if I could take a level 15 ele to a level 15 area, and rock the area, but if I take my level 43 it doesn’t scale right comparably for some reason. Today was a head scratcher for me.

I find ele rough to level. I’m not sure if it really just how I try and play them but I just suck at it. I’ve deleted two and just made another because my daughter missed one of them (the colourful sylvari) so I’m going to try again.

Why would you uninstall?

I have it installed on my laptop and my gaming computer. I spend most of my time on my laptop (couch is so much more comfy) but if I find myself not playing a game as much, I designate it to the gaming computer. That way I don’t bog down the hard drive on the laptop with unnecessary applications that I find myself not using. I came back after a long 6 month break, so if I have reached the non fun point already so quickly, I might just uninstall it on the laptop, and if I get the itch every now and then go and play on the big boy gaming rig. (I let the kids use it) Just imo, I wouldn’t think a level 43 should have a huge problem in a lower level area. I am sure it is the player not the game, which is disheartening. Makes me laugh a little, perhaps my kids are right, I am getting a little old and to slow to keep up with the games now a days! XD

I don’t play to be the best player out there, or have the most achievements, or boast about kills, etc. I just log in from time to time, to have a bit of fun, and I find myself not finding that “fun” feeling anymore. Just wish I knew where I lost it at. When I find myself getting frustrated, I know I have lost the spirit of the game. That alone is depressing.

Try taking a break then. I don’t mean that in a smart allec way. There isn’t anything wrong with that and you don’t have anything to lose. There is no monthly subscription. So that shouldn’t be an issue. I play very little compared to most people and when I find myself getting frustrated I just shrug it off and find something else to do.

I have been doing only PvE and my highest level character is only 36. I have an alt for every profession though. I have found a few areas tough for PvE but I go do something else, play another profession or what not and when I come back for a fresh look I usually find a solution. I thought rolling into a starter area with a higher level would make it easy but sometimes I’ve found it more difficult than when I did it with a low level character.

I promise in advance that this is not a bashing post what so ever. I am not the greatest player, I will admit. I have three level 80’s, and realized that not one of them was leveled via exploration. So I decided to take my level 43 elementalist out for a tour of the world in an attempt to level via exploring. I started off in a lower area, and even with being specced vitality/toughness for surviability, I was having my rear handed to me repeatedly. Tried D/D and Staff. Neither was a no go. Hopped on my mesmer, again, correct level zone, still struggled to the point of frustration. I ended up logging out to play some games on steam. I can hold my own on my Ranger/Engineer/Guardian in WvWvW and in PvE but they are maxed out in level.

I don’t remember when I began leveling when the first game came out being this difficult or frustrating. Perhaps it is just me. I notice even being on a T2 server most zones are bare, making heart completions even harder. I did take a 6 month break for a while to tend to real life affairs, did things change drastically? Or have I become rusty? Please don’t think I am bashing the game, I have gotten a lot of fun with it, but perhaps I am too casual of a player now, and the difficulty of the game is above my skill level? (And I can’t afford to spend real life money into the gem store to gain boosts) Does it sound like there is help for me? Or should I just hang in the towel for now before I become totally frustrated and uninstall due to not having fun anymore?

Nono, if I know I am on the verge of dying or outnumbered (I roam a lot) I will gracefully emote /bow before the last blow is struck against me. I know when the better player has beaten me, or when I have foolishly walked into a group.

From myself, being from the TC server, I am personally rooting for SoS. Bring your A-game. Don’t get discouraged. I promise to always /bow or /salute if I get killed or kill someone. Remember this is a game, we all are people on the other side of the screen. I look forward to glorious battles, from both FA and SoS. So from this little insane asura ranger, I wish for SoS not to get discouraged but fight against us like the tigers I know y’all can be!! I know y’all may feel as if you are getting backed into a corner, but make sure to wound us and leave our troops bleeding. Much respect to your server and love.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Oogie from DB I believe? Me and him went round and round on my ranger, and we both came so close to getting each other down, but he eventually won. He even bowed afterwards, so I invited him to a party, and thanked him for such a great one on one. We chatted a bit, and it was really nice! So DB if you ever see a little asura ranger try to party up with you, it’s always to thank you for a good time. =)

Not sure if playerbase is declining, perhaps they are busy IRL. This is a game you can always come back to no matter how long you have been away. Normally I get on everyday, but doing remodeling so been putting off gaming time.

Now, if someone wants to come finish the remodeling, I will HAPPILY go back to gaming!

Are you a person that would love to have late nights in mumble laughing about various food products as you slay monsters? Yes, Yes you are.

Then why ponder any more? [CRZY] Is the guild for you. We are looking for a few good players to join our cause. Does this mean you have to be perfect? Noooo….perfection is overrated. If you press 4 instead of 5, laughs will ensue, but never hatred or hollering.

We do all kinds of stuff. What you ask? We set up spvp on Saturday nights, playing “Find the Guild Leader and crush him.” Or as others call it, hide and seek or capture the flag. But shhhhh. He doesn’t know our secret. He’s our target.

Sunday nights, it’s all Ninja style. From camp capping to Dolyak hunting (I am still looking for that big one to mount on the wall) we do it all.

During the week, you will always find a group to run Fractals, Dungeons, Map exploration, etc.

So I ask of you, are you [CRZY] enough to join us? I promise we don’t bite. Well unless you are holding the cookies, then I cannot make no promises about our Charr members. They have very healthy appetites.
