Guild Wars 2

I main a Guardian in WvW with Greatsword/Staff, and yeah the auto attack is no help whatsoever unless I’m in a zerg fight where I can tag everything then reap the loot bags.

I do find the other stuff useful though

Skill 2- The amount of squishy Thieves running from me who’ve been caught by this and downed is unreal

Skill 3- It’s helpful running around even if it is short spurts of swiftness and….well that’s about it for that

Skill 4- Most useful skill because of the nice might and healing

Skill 5- Maybe I run into a lot of noobs but 70% of people I see charge into this thing and I just laugh

Hey guys couldn’t put my question into words

Basically where are the best monsters in WvW to kill to stack up say Sigil of Perception, I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but the search engine isn’t exactly magical so would be tough searching

Is it just me or does Sunrise look much different when being previewed.
I can see the sunrise colours but they’re all just blurred and look terrible

It can’t be to do with my computer I’ve concluded since Sunrise looks as it should when being worn by other people, but since I’m nearly done crafting it I would really like to know that someone else has this problem too

So hey everyone I’m in a bit of a predicament

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 now for over 1 year and my computer has handled it fine until lately. It’s really annoying now to the point that when I go into WvW the usual bits and pieces on the map don’t load instantly, for example an Asura Gate

So I need a new computer but I’m only good at using the machine and I know hardly anything about how to choose what components I’m wanting. I’m not looking for a high priced system that runs Guild Wars 2 at max setting. What I’m looking for is a computer that runs GW2 smoothly on regular settings and that doesn’t have me going crazy because my fps drops far too low when my Engineer places more than one bomb

My budget is ideally in the £400-450 range but I guess I’ll see what you guys come up with

Cathy pretty much summed everything up with this post. And she’s totally right, all of us would love to see the guild refreshed and back to it’s former self. It’s 100% worth checking us out and even if you decide to leave The Conclave will always be there should you ever return

Hey there everyone I’m here to recruit for the wonderful Conclave guild. The Conclave is a gaming community where you will never feel out of place and where there are always great times to be had. It spans a variety of different games and was set up a while back in 2002.

I joined the Conclave around a year ago now and it greatly enhanced my gaming experience. In next to no time you get that feeling that you belong somewhere and on a game such as this that’s really important. Hey everyone

After missing out on fighting her last year I’m determined to beat her and I’m loving the challenge so far. As the title suggests I am a Guardian and I have been switching between using greatsword/staff and greatsword/sceptre+shield. I find phase one easy but as soon as the next phase triggers I become flustered and always die from the clones blowing me up.

I’d love any tips from others who have fought Liadri in a similar way. Thanks

Personally I think that the mystic forge should do something when a legendary is crafted. We get a big noise every time somebody reads an experience scroll, so why is crafting a legendary so anticlimactic? I am not asking for the floor around the forge to become a disco and Le Freak to break out when somebody crafts The Moot (well OK, maybe I am), but a change in colour of the Mystic Forge’s light and some sort of sound effect like a low rumble or an angelic chorus of “Aaah” or whatever would be great. Something that would make the people nearby think “cool, someone just crafted a legendary!”

Wow wonder this hasn’t been brought up before…..

I’m sure pretty much any guardian who uses shouts in their build has realised eventually that “Hold the Line” is the the only shout on the guardian where…..well there’s no shouting.

I use this skill excessively when I play, along with “Save Yourselves” and I always feel a little down when nothing can be heard from using it. I will admit that lately my guardian has been shouting a few new lines I haven’t heard recently and have heard “Hold the Line” being shouted the odd time but never when I use the actual skill.

Maybe there’s a reason that I haven’t found out about that explains why there’s silence when using this so if anyone knows please enlighten me

Oh and also I’d just like to say there are more important things out there to fix sure but this one little change would make me a happy bunny

Been a while since somebody posted a build on here so I thought I’d add my Guardian Build that I run. I find it works great in PvE and WvW at the same time so it’s nice and flexible.

The build focuses on a decent amount of survivability whilst buffing damage I can deal on my Greatsword through Might (biggest reason for Staff). I mostly use it for roaming solo or in small groups of 2-4 so I don’t reccomend using it whilst zerging.

I’ve already heard about changes to sigil/runes so it could stop me from mixing up mine to get more might duration. When the time comes I’ll switch my runes accordingly

Haha yeah already considered this but since I’m coming towards the end of crafting my Sunrise I can’t afford to splash out on account upgrades

Hey all I’m posting this mostly to make sure that I’m not the only one who gets this.

Basically on characters does anyone else seem to develop a layer of around 30 things in their inventory that they can’t bring themselves to get rid of? It’s not a huge problem and is no one’s fault but there is always a huge chunk of things like boosters, Living World items and harvesting tools sitting at the top of my inventory.

I’m not going crazy am I?

My main is in full Exotic and it works just fine for me. Nearly finished my Legendary so after that I might work towards getting some Ascended weapons for my alts. I think crafting ascended armor will be to much hastle

Hey all I’ve spent some time looking at different weapon combinations on my Guardian and have stuck with the Greatsword from the beginning (3/4 of the way to Sunrise )

Now I’ve decided to stick with the Staff as well and tried to make a build based around Might. I plan to do both PvE and some WvW roaming with it so I’d love if anybody could give me some pointers and tweaks I could make to it.

Hey everyone I’ve been playing WvW for a reasonably long time now and I must say I love it and bringing everyone together by becoming a Commander is something I’m completely interested in.

I know pretty much all the good stuff you’d look for in a Commander and I think I have those qualities yet before I cash out on 100 well earned gold I’d like to know about some of the more vague aspects I need to get my head around in order to do well at the job.

Right now I have 143 gold and the max I had was about 180

I never find myself short of money in this game and I can always afford to kit out my different characters but I’m halfway through my Legendary now and up to the most expensive parts

I just do the same dungeon paths daily and vendor/salvage any stuff I don’t need. Eventually it builds up and even though I don’t have anything like 500+ gold I do have enough to supply me constantly and it’s not even that hard

It’s been a respectable amount of time since I joined the Guild in hope to have more people to enjoy the game with and I got all that and more

Everyone is friendly and you will never feel out of place. We have a large number of events going on here and there ranging from dungeons to guild missions. There has also been the odd game of Hide and Seek

So if you want a guild where you can have fun without having to commit any set amount of time then you might just have found the right Guild.

I’ve been leveling a WvW Warrior with a Hammer/Greatsword build but I need a little help picking between power,vitality and toughness stats or power,precision and toughness

Basically I just want to be a little tanky and dish out some nice damage and stuns whilst in WvW

I have a good idea but just need a little support thanks

The title says it all really, my Guardian has been using a shield since level 7 and once I hit level 80 I was going to get a really lovely looking exotic shield….

Well I’ve been level 80 for a very long time and have had to use the Tribal Shield which looks ugly in my opinion. Do any of you know of a nice looking shield that’s out there which doesn’t involve PvP?…..I know of masterwork shields that are better looking than my current exotic

Sadly I’m one of those who needs these elusive Lodestones for their Legendary

Just wondered if anybody has any tips on how to get them is farming a reliable way or doing CoE runs the best

Buying them may be a last resort but I’d rather not

I’ve just started up on my Thief and just need a few ideas on what weapons are fun or great to use

I’m not looking for any specific type but I am more of a PvE player

The update in my opinion was much needed and like intended has made them require much more strategy

By far my most favorite is the changes to Golem it was hilarious when everyone standing at the center of the platform were ok for about 30 seconds until a shockwave downed all of the un-alert people in seconds causing me to laugh for a solid 3 minutes

As somebody stated in this thread I agree that a Legendary is a bigger grind than getting an Ascended weapon but at least you’re only going to be doing that grind once

I understand you there but I feel confused as before this new patch I was happy just working towards my Legendary and now this pretty much screws things up

So I was wondering what those people who don’t have Legendary’s are doing…

Are you now trying to craft your way to 500 in order to get an Ascended weapon or are you just still going for the Legendary

I personally am forgetting the Ascended since like a lot of others think they require a huge amount of money, effort and time…but what about you?

When I first wanted to get my hands on some Karma Armour I checked regularly to see if the event was being done but no luck.

Even when there were a bunch doing the event it still seems impossible without a really big amount to keep npc’s alive

In the end my option was to guest on highly populated servers and sooner or later I got them.

I guess Temple events just aren’t that glamorous

Recently I made the decision to try and get my hands on a Legendary weapon (Sunrise)
I have only a few components so far such as Gift of Battle and Bloodstone Shard but I know that’s just the beginning

Looking at some things I need to get scare me and I was just hoping some of you who have already gone through this long and arduous process could give me some tips on how to make this journey quicker or at least a little eaiser

Nice a lot of this stuff is obviously nothing new to players who have been here for a while but when I started playing this guide would of come in real handy

I’m at that point where I’m pulling my hair out trying to save him under 3 minutes

The biggest trouble is the veteran which spawns since he takes to much time too kill and if I don’t causes me trouble whilst putting out fires

So I’ve hit level 80 now and one of my first goals is 100% map completion but I was wondering which way I should do this

Should I run from map to map activating a few waypoints then coming back to each of the maps in turn…
Or get a new map and fully complete it

Any suggestions would be great

I was just wondering whether somebody could help me out here

When I am doing Guild Missions with my Guild it doesn’t show up in my Guild tab
For example I can’t see a list of locations when doing Guild Trek

Is this purely because my home server is not the guild’s home server or something else
If I find out the problem I can fix it

If you’re looking for a place to chill out with a bunch of other people who enjoy playing the game this is the place to do it

Yeah if you go to any merchant there is an option to sell all your junk

This is handy since all the junk does is clog up your inventory space so you’re freeing that up and getting a little bronze at the same time
