Skill Delay Since Patch (A lot of people)

Almost everyone I’ve asked has been getting skill delay since the patch hit. Ive NEVER had delay and NEVER lagged in this game and I’ve got 1,700 hours played, but since the patch, I’ve been playing with skill delay and it makes it extremely difficult to pvp or wvw.
I have a brand new PC custom built (not the problem)
Checked with my ISP and have been watching my connection speed throughout the day – 3ms ping, 30 download 25 upload. (not the problem)
So its not on my end.

Edit: Yeah I know I got outplayed by blowing all my stunbreaks but it got to the point where I didn’t even think he would try to hit me so I just went yolo.
Your vid starts off with you taunting a downed mesmer by spamm laughing.In return you get downed by a warrior and you come crying to the forums….This kitten just makes my day…LOL !!!!
Also..Learn how to duel properly in obsidium,the warr was in the tunnel going to obsid to find duels,yet he gets ganked in midway by a thief..and up till this point he does nothing in return but being defensive and just moving on..yet you keep bugging him…
That mesmer chased me from OS spawn because they were camping us there, and that war and his guard friend stomped out someone from BG in the tunnel. Lol
Poison from SB4. Not sure what your sigil on SB is, but if it’s fire, your auto-attack plus poison would chip away at him. Don’t have to use initiative while auto attacking so, you could have built some up even when using SB5 to chase as long as you used your other 3 ports too to allow you to build initiative. You had some opportunities where it would have made sense to swap to shortbow. When he’s not running away from you, the cripple from SB3 would put him in a bad spot.
Lol sb autoattack with fire would chip away at him….look at his health regen. I pulled my SB out earlier before the vid and was literally doing nothing at all.
Edit: Its also extremely easy to just strafe run and avoid every SB shot. Also, look what happens to the poison thats applied from my steal.

Don’t forget about shortbow?
Would have made 0 difference, if anything it would be in his advantage if I swapped. I would be able to catch up for a few seconds, but I’d have 0 inti and be on the defensive with a weapon that gets out-healed by healing signet and be stuck on a 9 second CD and he could just kite again at any point anyway.

Chivalry Medieval and DayZ is where its at.
The real issue is pushing far at the start of a match. Its perfectly fine if you have the team comp for it (at least two heavies going mid at the start) but if you push far at the start and your team gets wiped at mid, even if you won far, you literally did nothing because the guys from mid are going to wipe you while your teammates respawn.
Knowing when to push far is important, otherwise youre better just winning the mid fight and decapping far before the other team can respawn.
Play a glass staff ele. 30/30/wutever.
Yeah I dropped from the top 50 into the %’s in one day, but kitten I enjoyed it. Everyone reroll glass staff ele and enjoy the game again.

I can keep an engis healing turret interrupted on my thief and Im pretty sure thats a close to instant skill so, pretty much anything. Its also pretty easy to predict when someones going to heal based on their rotations/hp left.
You say the engi heal is instant but thats not correct. Most engis run healing turret and that can be interrupted pretty easily. Jus sayin

No the LB makes sense, your reasoning doesnt. You can still judge someone based on amount of games played and their win/loss but you cant compare that information with their placement on the LB itself, which is what you were doing. Again, your all knowing knowledge fails you.

I can understand how you come up with these theories by playing WvW or hotjoins or whatever it is you do.
You’re telling me to read a book that relates to chess to help me better understand GW2? That would make perfect sense if our characters didn’t have any skills, tree lines or thousands of possible builds. IF we could only move in certain directions and GW2 pvp was only about positioning, Id take you seriously.

You have no idea what youre talking about because you can’t rank thief “builds” based on weapon sets.
For example; D/P Shadow Arts is top three easiest builds to play in this game, but D/P Trickery is one of the highest skilled to play.
However D/D is not viable, it doesnt matter what your build is in PvP. The only D/D build that can do something that none of the other builds can is 25/30/0/0/15 signet one shot build and its not even viable.
I base it off of the best build(s) for each weaponset, evaluated based on team support, damage, sustain, and general strategy. Cry somewhere else.
That explains a lot and is the reason your list makes no sense. You cant evaluate a build generally in this game. Your number one ranked build could easily be hard countered by every single player on the opposite team and it becomes the worst possible build.

Edit: Shortbow is easily one of the strongest weapons a Thief has access to. It allows for plenty of defense and great aoe team support.

Funny, i dont see spirit rangers or mm necros so often and when i do its not that hard to beat them/no overpowered advantage. On the other hand i see too much warriors, everyone hammbow and sometimes swordbow. Ofc speaking in area 900-400.
Maybe its better on EU.

Im used to carry ultra hard with my spirit ranger but i rly got tired of playing it.

I didn’t mind our previous meta as a thief. Warriors were easily beat by outplaying them with proper timed dodges. This new zoo meta is so bad. Every soloQ I play now is full of MM necros and spirit rangers. Sure I can beat them but its very very difficult and you have to play perfect.
All these players do is summon their zoo, sit in the middle of it so you cant range them and if you go in for melee they just spam marks on the point and immob you while their zoo kittens your day up.
To most of you, you have no idea who I am and to the rest of you, Im just a really bad thief that doesn’t know how to play my class.
I quit.
The combat in this game is amazing so I hate to leave it but you guys have no idea how to balance and you love to reward bad players by allowing them to be carried by AI and spamming skills.
Dont even bother trolling me because 99% of you are bad ( Im the worst though, dont worry )
Ill log in every once in a while to play really kittened up builds and troll the kitten out of soloQ.

PS. I dont consider mesmers OP because they actually take skill to play, unless of course youre a condi mesmer, you guys can go kitten yourselves too.
For example Ive never had anyone try to stop me from taking stillness and tranq in any hotjoin Ive ever played
90% of the time I can guarantee a win on my team in hotjoins but in soloq its a 50/50 because the majority of players are more skilled.
When you have 800+ chests like I do atm its not worth opening. The amount of glory it would cost to buy enough salvage kits is just insane. Some people have 3000+

Lb position means a lot. Top 100 matches are much more competitve and fun. Being rank 300-1000 is like being in hell #carrysohard #hashtagyolo #yolosblack

131272 – I asked an agent to take a look today.
Another 3 days of nothing. Do I just keep posting here every 3 days until I just decide that you guys arent actually going to do anything and accept that this how your business works? I was warned about posting misleading information because I told someone not to submit a ticket unless they have the patience to wait weeks for something to get done, but how can I possibly have gotten a warning for “misinformation” when that is exactly what happens to people? (Myself for example)

If thieves are complaining about being nerfed, they were using a low skill cap build.

Now if you see a thief, you know he’s using D/P and is glass cannon. Besides with mesmer buff and shift to bunker meta thief is dead.
This patch is a lot of things, but a buff it’s not.
Not my fault you cant play a trickery thief. Trickery thieves are incredible. I will still play mine and will still love it.

30 trickery has been rendered completely irrelevant to thief, and the 1 second daze for on steal tends not to be enough to justify going fully into that tree.

I cant understand why people think thieves are so bad….my thief is getting buffed, so is many of the top thieves builds. The only thieves getting nerfed are shadow arts and sword/dagger. Im looking forward to this thief buff.

Im excited about the thief changes and I know a lot of good thieves that are too. Sure if you were playing s/d or perma stealth you wont have your crutch any more to support your lack of skill, but my build is being buffed.
A lot of people seem to forget that each of the warriors condition applications is extremely strong. The best way to kill someone running a lot of condi cleanse is to only apply one of your conditions between each cleanse and after the second or third cleanse youll still have about 10k worth of damage in condis on the person. Also dont forget youre constantly spamming combustive shot. Theres not enough condi cleanse to stop a well timed condi warrior.
Alright Im officially confused. I cant get a hold of anyone from support. Going on four days now, and I know theres no way they are THAT backed up that they cant get back to me. Im not making any mistakes, Ive checked all my folders. Im in Gmail so emails between the same person are threaded. I was told my items would be in my mailbox, they never showed up and I have an empty mailbox so thats not the issue. How long do I have to wait before I get a reply from someone or can find any information regarding my situation? Its extremely frustrating.

Thanks for your suggestion, didnt work. Any other ideas? I even sent in another ticket asking for an update on my old one and they replied instantly saying they would transfer it and its been another 2 days without reply.
