The end has come for me as well.
Between Fractured which was a giantkittento the fractal community and the complete fail way precursors and “legendaries” have been handled, my interest always waned. With this new insulting alt killing “feature pack” and the same ole boring content I’ve played for 2 years, enough is enough. Hope you new guys enjoy the game a while before you are struck with the reality of what this game will likely never become.

One work around is to just join squad on one and all the others go away.

Just solo the path and you can watch as many cutscenes as you want….

fix this please. I want to run fractals again and be rewarded appropriately for the hardest PVE content in the game….

Well my boycott thread got deleted and a warning, so I guess at least someone looks in the dungeon forums and read about the issue

Been broken for a while now me thinks.

They stated they would introduce Fractal weapon boxes with the Fractured patch that would allow you to select the skin you wanted and these would drop from high level fractals.
Great idea, however, they apparently think that 50 isn’t high enough and the boxes aren’t even on the loot tables.
Until they raise the cap or introduce the boxes into the current levels, my enthusiasm for running fractals for the skins is nil.

Big thanks for finally putting some real data behind what I have been experiencing since the patch.
Used to be an avid high level Fractal runner. Have every fractal skin I want except one.

Haven’t gone back in a long time after I came to the sad realization on my own that someone broke the rewards in my favorite content.

Agreed. Legendary Grawl Shaman has killed me more than anything else in the game.

People actually run that path? I know I did it once for DM and haven’t set foot in it since. Sounds interesting though and I’m all for more interesting encounters

Might be common knowledge but a thief with shadow refuge can use it on the missle phase in Mai fight and the rockets won’t target anyone during the duration. Just make sure you are ready, because when you come out of stealth and are all stacked up, there’s going to be a whole lot of red rings on the ground near you….

I actually got one from a mob drop a week ago. I almost spat my drink on my keyboard. I think I would have been less shocked by a precursor

The status of the leaderboard is that they’ve come to the same conclusion that the community did before it was even released…it will consist of a whole bunch of people that reached 50 and is therefore meaningless.
Now the Fractal weapon boxes on the other hand…that is something I’m interested in as it was the one thing from Fractured that I actually was excited about.

The number of Pristine Relics it would cost for a Fractal Weapon would have to be suitably high for it to retain its prestige. Perhaps 1000 Pristine Fractal Relics could be a good starting point.

Proposal Overview: Allow fractal tokens to be used for a variety of ascended related items.

Proposal Details: Since launch, there have been no significant changes to what can be obtained from Buy-4373. At the same time, Ascended gear, arguably, has its main use in Fractals of the mists. Currently many of our hardcore fractal players are sitting on tens of thousands of relics and hundreds of rings. Thus, we should add support for the fractal currency to acquire new items from Buy-4373. In addition we should add a new vendor which would allow us to exchange items. The amounts listed below are for demonstration purposes:

Add New Items to the Fractal Vendor

• Amulets – 2000 fractal Relics
• Earrings/trinkets – 1900 Fractal Relics
• Dragonite ore – 5 Fractal Relics
• Bloodstone Dust – 5 Fractal Relics
• Empyreal Fragments – 5 Fractal Relics
• Add a simple white 20 slot bag to the vendor – 100 Fractal Relics
• Add Fractal Weapon Boxes to the vendor. – 5000 Fractal Relics
• Add the Fractal Tonic to the Vendor – 15000 Fractal Relics
• Add Fine infusions to the Vendor. – 3500 Fractal Relics

Add a Currency Exchange Vendor to Fractals.

• Fractal tokens for laurels. 100 Fractal Relics for 1 Laurel
• Fractal tokens for Karma jugs. 1 Fractal Relics per 10 Karma Point. A Jug of 6000 Karma = 600 relics.
• Fractal tokens for Guild Influence. 1 Fractal Relic per 10 Influence pts.
• Ring Exchange: 3 Rings for 1.
• Ring Exchange: 1 Ring for 5 Pristine Fractal Relics.

Goal of the Proposal:
While other parts of the game have been updated, the fractal currency has fallen behind. Currently, and without much sense, you cannot acquire ascended related materials in the place where it matters most: Fractals of the Mists. We are in need of a change that will add support to our existing currency by expanding its base, while at the same time introducing a mechanism to exchange fractal currency into other types of in game currency.

Although not perfect, the ideas above would certainly revive interest in Fractals and reward those that are brave enough to handle some of the hardest content in the game. I am honestly baffled why something like this didn’t make it into the Fractured patch.

Marionette is a great fight. The randomness of the platform ruins it completly but its better than all other bosses.

The platforms aren’t random.

Although I agree that achievements should be more about your own personal ability, if the point of contention is just getting the meta done, you can do this and never get any of the platform achievements.
If you’re achievement hunting, well then, you’re kind of screwed if you get in groups that don’t have the ability to complete the event.

apparently there is scaling problems with the boss which is why the dps fluctuates so much apparently the total hp of the boss fluctuates between 60mil and 1mil which changes the amount of damage you have to finish and why dps during burn fluctuates so much.

I would say around the 30-45 min mark per frac is good, so that really good groups can complete in 15-20.

The leaderboard might mean something if they make 45+ kittening hard so that only a small percent of people can complete it….

Allow us to salvage our banks worth of extra rings and poof you’ve created a use for pristine relics. Two problems solved.

Might be an influx of people who were never interested in FOTM before that all of sudden have some motivation. Might balance out.

Currently 49. Anyone think that ANET will make a title/achievement or something else to offer some reward for those that got to 50 (currently the highest level that ANET supports)?
I’m not terribly excited to grind the 49 to get to 50 for obvious reasons

Mist Essence is required in the recipes for the new runes and sigils.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable solution. Salvage rings for a chance at Mist Essence. My bank slots and I would be pleased with this.

40-49 has been slightly reduced. 50 is no longer impossible, but now represents the requirement for 50-59. More levels will be made available in the future.

For now, 50 is still the maximum level.

I put alot of time into FOTM. My bank tabs of rings shows this. Any word on if they are going to have any use besides filling my bank tabs/4 silver vendor?
They are ascended. They took some effort to get. 4 silver is a slap in the face.

I especially support this for fotm.
Would be great to get a reward for not wiping in fotm 48.

Title is misleading and frankly BS. Try to join your home server (and fail), then enlighten all those in your new friendly overflow and kill him. THEN I’ll be impressed.

Just curious what people’s best attempts while in an overflow have been? For me personally I have gotten no better than about 85% health left. Debating on never even attempting again in an overflow unless posts here renew my enthusiasm for my chances while in a overflow.

Experience: Dungeon Master and Paths 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Time: On most week nites and try to run a daily, usually path 3 usually just as the dungeons are resetting. On weekends I try to run paths 1 thru 3.
Other: I know the paths and the skips. Looking to get like minded/skilled people to chain farm the paths quick like.

Not bugged. Just poorly thought out and implemented.
FOTM = crappy way to make money. Period.

I’m still surprised this issue hasn’t been addressed by ANET. I’ve found the sweet spot is actually in the 20s…I seem to get the best loot for the least effort.
Seems like actually rewarding people based on the level of the fract would be an easy and potentially far reaching fix.
By not doing it, they are only frustrating the people who are actually doing this content.

Let’s see I have 2 hours/day to play. I want to do a dungeon and be successful and not waste all that time showing people how to do things.
Hmm do I take a bunch of people that have low chieve points and hope that they’re just playing their second account, or take people with high points and have a better chance they’ve run the dungeon before.
Are achievement points perfect? Nope. Can they be an indicator that someone has a higher chance of knowing what they are doing? Yep.
Get over it. You should be getting points on your second account rather than posting on the forums.

I think a full set of Arah still has a small bit of impressiveness.
FOTM weapon skins = REALLY persistent and/or lucky.
Rng boxes = rng lucky.
Everything else = meh.

The skelks in Southsun…wow where have they gone. It now takes forever for them to spawn. There are 3 nests there with none around which is kittened.
Thanks for taking away the one spot I actually enjoyed farming. Looks like I’m going to start having to use my 80 warrior to do CoF which I’ve been avoiding. With my luck, I’m going to gear him up and then they will finally drop the nerfbat down on it too…

At a minimum the game really needs a heavily moderated cross server /lfg channel where you could just “/lfg 40 ranger looking to start a lowbie group for an AC path 1 run” and reach a decent sized crowd.

They do. It’s called gw2lfg.com and it works like a charm.

which means a low lvl would be an idiot to join a high level group…they don’t have AR, they get the same rewards as if they ran at low level, and they will likely die alot. Won’t take people long to realize that joining high lvl groups early is not fun imo
